Bright light faded to nothing While letting the dogs out to use the bathroom. I observed due south a bright light in the sky. At first I thought this was Saturn.

But then I looked to the Southwest and saw Saturn. While watching this light (it was as bright as Saturn) it faded out and disappered. I called my wife to come out and watch.

Then the light returned got as bright as Saturn again and then faded out. My wife stated that she thought that it moved away.

Large object seen in the air joined by other objects. We were inside my grandmothers house when my uncle noticed something moving in the sky, we could see it thought the glass door. it was a rather large object moving south-east from here.

it was white ball in the sky. as we watched it someone got some binoculars and we also noticed it was glowing redish orange. after a few minutes of watching we noticed that a small red ball shot fromt the underbelly of the craft.

it sat underneath the larger object then shot out to the right at a high rate of speed. so fast that i couldnt keep track of were it had gone. then as that happened a second later 2 more smaller craft appeared above the large object.

they dissappeared as quicly as they popped up. they looked about the same size as the object that came from the under neath of the larger object. then as we were watching the larger craft go out of sight from the mountains another small one popped up aain above us for a few seconds then left.

we took some photos with our digital camera and only one sort of focast. After that my wifes family called the local airport and asked if they were doing some sort of airshow or anything iof that nature. and they replied no.

when the small object came apart from the large one it looked like it was firing a missle or something .my first thought was we were going to war or something with some other country. then when the others started to pop up i was sort of scared of what was happening.

The figure was moving then stopped and disappeared. The circle type figure was a mixture of blue and red. There was no smoke or any rocket type effect.

The figure came down in a J shape. Then it shot up with incredible speed. After the figure was motionless.

Then it immediately disappeared.

sphere shaped craft over ocean craft rose up on the horizon. It appeared to rise up out of the ocean. It then flew out towards us (we were facing the ocean).

2 fighter jets went to intercept the craft, and it doubled in altitude. Viewing through binoculars, It was impossible to focus on The craft was visible over the ocean from the ocean shoreline at Kitty Hawk. A bright light was reflecting off the ocean.

People approached us and asked if we saw the craft, we said yes. We retrieved a pair of binoculars and tried to view the craft through the binoculars but couldn’t focus. It appeared to be flying in a small Haphazard pattern, but when you looked with the naked eye it appeared stationary.

We all watched it for about 15 minutes when 2 fighter jets from, I assume Seymour Johnson Air Force base, flew straight up towards the craft. The craft doubled its altitude in less than 1 second. The jets reversed course and flew back, probably out of fuel.

We just stayed there in shock at what we were seeing. One of the spectators called his mother in Greenville, NC, which is one hour inland, and she could see it! We watched it for about another 15 minutes and it just stayed there. I have always wondered why it was never reported since the Air Force obv! iously saw it.

For the last two weeks,I have seen a light in the sky that appears to be landing lights on a aircraft,but the lights turn off and there is no bacon lights or no trace of anything in the western sky!!Been in aviation for 25 years and cannot explain what I am seeing!!!.

A flash of light then a unclipped silver cigar shaped craft slowly glided with blue flames coming out then another flash,it was gone I was outside waiting for my ride to my band concert when i saw a small flash of light and there was a Large silver wingless craft the shape of an unclipped cigar out of the back was a large amount of blue fire, it was completely silent. It slowly glided for a bit then it went behind a tree I saw another flash of light and it never came out the other side. This was a couple years ago, I didn't know any plausible sources to contact until i saw this on National Geographic.

I was a non-believer for the most part before hand, I spent awhile pretending it was a airplane, but it couldn't have been, the distance from me it was was unatural to the usaul planes. I have never been diagnosed with any type of condition in which i see things, I was checked for all those things when i thought i had depression, it all came out negative. copies of 8mm footgae and computer discs of phjotos on their way to you. This object has been appearing off an on to this date since dec 5 2003. I have much footage and also computer discs with photos on it I am sending to you.

I have sent copies of two tapes to George Fawcett (back in last of Dec 2003) after contacting and being referred by Peggy, Asst Director of MUFON in NC. After a couple of emails and a couple phone conversations with george I stil have no clue as to what this is. It is almost like MUM is the word now.

I get no answers when I email george or write snail mail all I get from him is brouchures about his books and UFO meeting about 300 miles away. He turned the footage over to an "unknown photographer" for analysis. Last phone converstaion still no word from photographer after three months.

But I did recieve an email for Georeg to begin with that said " can you think of any reason they would show themselves to you, is there anything there or just military presence" During our phone converstaion he stated UFOs have plasma drive and that is the glowing around the object you have filmed. Also, stated "they may be trying to communicate with you". ((NUFORC Note: We would like to look at the footage, and we will request that the other witnesses submit reports.

Two Clouds moving at the speed of Light Iwas seating on the steeps were I work ,I looked up and saw a cloud go across the sky moving faster than any of our planes can fly,It looked like it was bening pulled across the sky by a unkown force,I mean realy fast!!!And A CLOUD ???In about 5 minutes a nother one appeared and went the same direction as the first one they were moving West to East at 6:55 am Two of my friends saw the two clouds after it crossed.They looked about a mile apart in the air.The clouds stayed the same size not expanding as a normal cloud would.

When I got home the clouds were still there there the same size, Till dark even after dark .Till I went to bed. NO cloud could possibilty made the streems.

I know we have new supper planes but I dont think they could move that FAST!!!!There Was No Sound At All From Them.

WHITE SILVERY OBJECT NORTHWARD BOUND WITH GREAT SPEED, NO SOUND AND FLUTTERING MOTION. NOV. 30: I HAD JUST LAID DOWN IN MY HAMMOCK FACING EAST.

A WHITE SILVERY SHAPE FLEW DIRECTLY OVERHEAD DUE NORTH. AT FIRST IMPRESSION, I THOUGHT IT WAS A HIGH FLYING AIRPLANE. THERE WAS NO SOUND.

THE SHAPE WAS FAIRLY INDESTINGUISHABLE, BUT THE COLORATION SEEMED TO BE JUST LIKE THAT OF THE MOON IN DAYLIGHT. THE THING THAT CAUGHT MY EYE WAS THE "FLUTTERING" OR SIDE-TO-SIDE MOTION THAT THE VEHICLE MADE - NOT UNLIKE A LEAF FLOATING, OR A FEATHER EVEN. EXCEPT FOR THE TERRIFIC SPEED, AND THE CONTINUATION OF FORWARD MOTION, I WOULDN'T HAVE GIVEN IT A SECOND THOUGHT.

BUT, AIRPLANES JUST DON'T FLY LIKE WHAT I SAW.

Unseen object's, Very loud sonic booms over Mebane NC Two Extremely loud sonic booms over Mebane N.C. Ok many people in Mebane heard it over a wide area, car alarms went off and folks all over were awakened Sunday morning at about 1:10 am .

it was one Very loud sonic boom followed about 3 to five seconds later by another not quite as loud. which leads me to beleave it was more than one object I ran outside and that’s when I heard the jet engines (or jets) heading south southwest from where I live. 1 mile north of 85-40 and Buckhorn rd.

(I beleave the engine sounds were from fighter type craft not Commercial transport planes.) Im pretty shure it was more than 1 due to the two very separate sonic booms. there was a cloud ceiling so I never saw any lights.

Don’t want to get any of our A.F. pilots in any trouble, but it did startle a lot of people.

I photographed 3 planets lined up but my digital camera came back with a strange "constellation"?? Coming in around 9 pm one night in November [not sure of exact date] I noticed 3 "planets" lined up high in the eastern sky. There was no moon and few stars that I could see. I came inside to get my camera [a simple Kodak CX4200] and snapped a picture of them.

[I remember having to hold the camera high to get the shot]. I didn't get a good shot, as the 3 lights were very faint in the photo so I saved it in my files to check out later. [Planets "line up" all the time].

I found this picture the other day when cleaning out my files, cropped it some, and used my "brighten/contrast" feature from the camera software to bring out the 3 lights, deleting the original almost "black" photo. The 3 horizontal lights at the bottom now looked bright red, and then there were horizontal "Y"s that seemed to be linked by the tails, and 4 red lights at the top right side of the formation lined up at an angle that I didn't see that night. Also, on the right inside light there seems to be a red dot next to it.

[I don't think we can photograph "moons" of distant planets with cheap digital cameras!]. Just an interesting shot, though, and wish I'd gone back out later to check on it but didn't think it was anything spectacular. Maybe my software changed the colors unjustly; but there's no doubting the odd formation, even in a legitmate constellation.

I was traveling on state road 1010 heading towards Hwy 401 around 6pm, just North of Fuquay Varina, NC. Just above the tree line on the left, I noticed some lights coming over the tree tops. The object’s altitude appeared to be just a couple hundred feet and very large.

It was moving very slowly and large enough to cover the entire field. It came over the tree tops on one side of the field and slowly crossed the field and disappeared over the trees on the opposite side of the field. Traffic was very heavy and to my astonishment no one was stopping, but I’m sure someone noticed it.

I haven’t told anyone about this, but my immediate family. I wonder how many of us have witnessed something extraordinary but keep it to our selves, because it doesn’t seem possible, even though we witnessed with our own eyes. dimming light that rotated counter-clockwise and then shot across the sky and vanished It looked the way a planet looks in the sky. Reddish-orangeish in color without winking. It did dim out on several occassions.

These dimmings were not causewd by cloud cover as it could be seen through the clouds. It then began to spin counter-clockwise until a ring was visible. It then shot toward the western sky toward some arials that are southwest of my apartment.

By the time it travelled maybe a yard by my sight it dissappeared. I was talking to my wife on my cellphone when it happened and I mentioned it to her hoping she'd be able to see it from her location.

50-75' lights hover than streak away out of sight I was driving home from the grocery store on a road that I travel everyday, when I notice, about a half a mile away there were 2 lights in the air just above the treetops. The road that I was traveling was the same road that Fountain Powerboats Inc. is on, so I thought that it was the lights from the parking lot, but I didn't remember seeing them there before.

Then, as I was closing in on the lights, I noticed that they were starting to move. At first I thought that it was just an illusion because I was driving in a curve, but then I was on a straight stretch and I realized that it was not an illusion. There were two lights that looked about like street lights and they were about 50 -75 feet apart from each other.

There movements were simultaneous which led me to believe that it was one craft, but I could never make out a shape. As I closed in on the object it seemed to increase its speed and I was trying to keep up with it as there was another car in front of me who was also trying to follow it. Due to the trees and the curves in the road, we would loose it for a few seconds and then it would re-appear.

I was trying to make it to the end of the road were it opened up to the river where I would have a wide open sky to view the object, but by the time I and the other driver had reached the end of the road the object was gone. The other 3 people in the other car confirmed that they had seen the same thing that I had seen. We were all in disbelief.

I tried to make sense of what I saw, but nothing added up. My house is in an area that I watched the object fly over. When I got home I asked my wife if she heard anything; a jet, airplane, heli-copter, blimp? She said she heard nothing.

The only thing that I thought it could have possibly been was a blimp, because noone heard it, but that doesn't explain why I couldn't keep up with it in my car running 60mph. Or why it disappeared out of sight over a river that is 1 mile wide. I heard nothing about this sighting in the news or the paper so I assume that we were the only ones who saw this.

My family saw strange flying object making wild jerky movements while other objects hovered above in a circle While a sudden power outage occured, my family and I rushed outside to see who else lost power. We were looking around at all the darkness and of course the sky drew our attention. I noticed a plane-like object darting wildly back and forth across the sky in short flight patterns.

As I looked at this object I then noticed more of the same type of objects in the sky that were arranged in a circle just sitting there. One by one they all performed the same jerky movements and then just disappeared. There was no sound at all during these movements or flights.

Very weird!.

Triangle shaped object with 3 round lights I was star gazing around 9:00 pm on the back deck of my home. I looked straight up and saw 3 round lights moving in unison from the West to the East horizon. The circles of grey light were located at each end of the triangle shape, and I estimate this triangle was about 100 feet across.

I looked away from the lights several times to make sure I was really seeing what I saw. I was able to locate this moving object over and over again. It took about 30 seconds for this object to move to the Eastern horizon.

This was no illusion! I went to bed and dreamed of UFO's darting in and out of the clouds and across the sky. These UFO's in my dream were both triangle shaped and rod shaped. ((FOLLOW-UP MESSAGE/09MR04)) Dear Peter, Thanks for all you do.

I check your site daily for updates and it's fascinating reading. I witnessed a ufo November 2, 2003, and reported it to you and it is posted in the database. Since my sighting I have slowly come to realize that this ufo departed/exited in a very distinctive manner.

At around 9pm I saw three circles of gray light that were much higher than the typical commercial air traffic around Charlotte, NC. They were in a triangle formation moving west to east. I strongly believe they were separate from each other as I remember seeing the stars between/behind them as they progressed across the sky.

They were much larger than any star or commercial airline lighting. Using the thumb measure, each circle was size of a pencil eraser. When the three circles approached the eastern most horizon the first circle appeared to curl up like it was going through an evelope slot or like it was curling upward around a cylinder or wringer of some sort.

I remember watching it curling and then all three lights went out or disappeared. I wonder if this could be some sort of portal these crafts use to leave earthly dimension. Forgive me if this account is of no use but I wanted to report it just in case you feel it truly is distinctive.

They wre like little lights but, I could see suff comeing off them. I was outside when I looked up and seen some lights moveing. They were moveing almost too fast too keep up with them.

I did not know what too say or do about it. So I run back into my house in fear. But, I know it was 3 UFO's.

A long light, like a star that moved fast and kinda sparkled. Moved in full view, low in the sky in less than 60 seconds I was on my front porch smoking and I noticed this long light, like a star that moved fast and kinda sparkled moving south. (coming from behind the house next to mine and moving south) The strangest thing was that it moved into and out of full view in less than 60 seconds and it was really low in the sky.

I called my friend who lives one street over in hopes that he was also outside smoking and asked him if he saw it too. He was not outside at that time so he did not, however he did go out and look and he saw three helicopters moving in from the south and they were circling and literally hovering in an area in the south west about 6 or so miles away. I was still on the phone with him while he was telling me about the helicopters and I hung up and walked (about a block) over to his house and I could see the helicopters myself.

They were too far away to have caused the "light" that I saw. But they were certainly searching for something. On the 11:00 news there was a report that there had been many calls into 911 about "bright lights" in the sky and "rattling" of houses.

The reporter stated that it was a meteor shower. Funny thing is, I've never known a meteor shower to happen that low to the ground and especially so low it causes houses to shake. And exactly what were those three helicopters investigating???.
