unidentified flying object My fiancee was looking through the telescope trying to see Saturn when he came running in the house telling me to come and look at something he found. This thing was round like a small orb but it was all different colors like reds and greens and yellows. and the middle of this circular thing was swirling around and changing colors like some kind of prism thing.

I dont know what it is but i would like to know if anyone else has spotted something like it. It didnt move around in circles or zig zag in the sky like people say but it did move and I know it wasnt a star it was way to low. Whatever it was it was weird.

could you possibly give me some info on what this thing could have been.

Was on back porch. I looked up into the sky, and there was a bright object that lookes like a star but it was moving very slowly. It was still daylight.

There were no stars in the sky. I continued to watch the object until it vanished. I have seen this same object on several other ocassions.

Three officers report UFO CBS News site: Police Report UFO Sightings HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Three Indiana police officers are now talking about their day-after-Christmas UFO sighting. Huntington officer Chip Olinger was warming up his car the afternoon of December 26th, when he reported seeing a circular object in the sky.

He radioed officers Greg Hedrick and Randy Hoover, who saw it too. Olinger says it wasn't like a 1950's type flying saucer. He says it was big, but didn't have a hump in the middle.

The three policemen say the object drifted toward a church steeple, then shot away without a sound. Officer Hoover says they didn't mention it before, because they were worried people would think they were crazy. Now, the officers are wondering if anyone else saw the circular object in the sky.

Gathering of six objects with pulsating red and white lights, no sound, broke into 2 groups of 3 traveling in different directions. I observed a gathering of 6 red and white pulsating objects that were in a loose formation when I first observed them. There were two outer red lights with a white light in the center of each of the objects.

The formation then broke into 2 groups of 3. 3 moved to the west, the other 3 moved to the southeast. From our vantage point from a second story apartment balcony, I would estimate that the objects were approximately (at first) 15 -20 miles to the northwest at an altitude of approx.

5 - 10 thousand feet. The objects appeared to travel at a steady pace; somewhat faster than would an airliner. The westward moving objects went out of visual range within about 3 minutes.

The three ojbects moving to the southeast passed just to the west of the apartment complex. It also seemed that two of the objects passing over the area where we were were gaining altitude, while the third remained at consistent level. There was no sound that could be heard from the objects.

As they were passing above us, I pointed out a high flying airliner to my friend, to compare the difference of the airliner's running lights as compared to the objects. The original formation's exact location would most likely have been about 2 -3 miles northwest of downtown Indianapolis.One interesting point is that while I was in route to the apartment complex, I noticed airliners coming in to the airport on their regular flight paths with what looked to me to be extremely - almost excessive - displays of brilliant "collision" lights.

They were so bright that when I spotted the first one, I wasn't sure if I was actually seeing an in-coming aircraft or a brilliant UFO. This would have been about 30 minutes prior to the sighting of the formation from the balcony. On my way home, at about 9 PM, I couldn't help but noticed that all large in-coming aircraft to Indianapolis International were displaying the same "excessive" brilliance as the ones that I had seen about an hour before.

This causes me to wonder if what we saw from the ! balcony was only the final minutes of an episode that had gone on in the skies above the city for some time. I have seeen UFO's before this incident, and would like to think of myself as a seasoned "sky watcher". I have become familiar with aircraft standard night time appearnces and proceedures in the area.

From the points mentioned in the above despription, I would have to say that there was nothing "standard" regarding the brilliance of the aircraft or the appearance, movement, and formation of the unknown objects.

flash light was there flash was close flash even closer flash the light was here i was on my way back from my brothers house about 30 min from my house i was driving the back roads home usually just going in the same direction i wasnt sure of the roads just keep going east. my friend and i were decided to stop to to urnate i got out of my truck so did he i was faceing west when i saw a light i thought was a snowmobile the light was coming about 1/4 from us at the tee in the road when a sharp turn toward us i still though it was an snowmobile but it wasnt on the road when the light was coming then east from the turn it looked like it was about 10 feet above the road thennnnn it blinked but a second later the light was about a telephone pole ahead it was like it would flash then be closer everytime the first flash kinda startled me i said to my friend look whats that when the object flashed again it got closer the flashed when it seemed when it would flash again it would be at my truck i jumped in my truck and speed off going about 20 feet before i realized i left my friend running behind the truck i stopped he jumped in. since that day my heart has never beaten so fast so pumped up we know what we seen it freaked us out to the point that nobody would believe us but we still traveled back to knox and told some poeple but still to this day it wonders me to the point i am for the first time rporting this sighting.

i will take a lie test and even though i moved out of that town that year i would be anything i got that my friend would say the same story. the only thing that was confusing we got back to knox later then we should have. not much but later then should have i checked my cell phone outcalls and confused me.

this is the first time i ever wrote all this down.the light was about a 5 ft round 10-15ft above the ground no sounds coming from it.

bright light falling from sky, southwest to northeast. descending at 90 degree angle As I traveled north on highway 41 on the northern edge of the city, I noticed a bright light streaking downward, toward the ground. My first thought was a shooting star, but it was much larger.

So large in fact, I waited for what I thought would be some type of impact or explosion. But there was none. The object fell from the sky at approximately a ninety degree angle.

As the object raced toward the ground, I pointed it out to my passenger. When the event was over, I asked the person with me if they had seen what I had, just to make sure I had not seen a reflection or something similar. we both agreed it was something falling from the sky.

The direction of travel was southwest to northeast. the night sky was very clear with stars.

I was just getting home from a friends and notice the hair standing on my arm when I was putting my jacket on to get out of the car because it was cold that night. Anyways I thought it was kind of funny how the hair was standing on my arm but I went ahaed and put my jacket on got out of the car and went inside for a minute. As Iw as in the house I heard something outside and went to the kitchen window and looked out towards the back yard and saw some light.

I was thinking it was a flashlight or something like that and went outside and then it happened.My hairs started standing up on my arms again as I was walking around the backside of the house I just happened to look up and seen a circular object lightly illuminated hovering about 50 ft to 75 ft in the air over the house. It was glowing from a blue to white haze.

I had no sound at all. The sound I heard before I went to look was like someone coughing outside or something. It sat there and hovered for about ten minutes and then slowly started moving from side to side for about 3 minutes, then just like BAM it shot off to the north and and dissapeared.

Cemetery UFO sighting I was out at a local cemetery, alone, taking some photographs because I had nothing else to do at the time. I've visited the cemetery several times because I ghost hunt and its a really nice, rural area where the sky, on a clear night, is very pretty. As I said, I was taking some photographs and looking up, it was partly cloudy and I noticed one or two "conventional" aircraft in the sky and identified them by their red/white flashing lights as well as some sound.

The other object appeared and looked to be higher in the sky than the other aircraft, however also appeared to be larger. I didn't think anything of it first and went on with what I was doing. About 10-20 minutes later I was ready to leave and looked up to see that the object was in the same spot, while the other aircraft were no longer visible.

After that, I left and didn't think anything more about the incident until I heard about the website on Coast to Coast and decided to report it.

My mom and me were coming up our drive way when she told me to look into the sky. A circular, glowing THING went across the sky in a way as far as I know not possible for any manmade aircraft to preform.We went into our house and come back out a minute later and watched the object go out of sight east over a large hill and we saw lights flashing in the same place where the craft went out of sight.

it made a zip motion and disapeared before the horizon I was walking to my house with my girlfriend and I was looking at the sky. Then a forrest green ball of light that made a "zip" in a downward motion. It lasted for several seconds and then dissapeared.

Look at that, what is it dad , my god what are they? As my son and I were driving home from a shopping trip we turned on county road 300 west,which was only 1 mile from our home. When we noticed what appeared to be two shiny teardrop crafts ,swaying back and forth with much agility . I stopped my truck as we watched them frolic in the sky darting stopping swaying it was as if the craft was on wheels ,with the precision it operated.

The craft quickly left as it had came , so I contineud home . My son and I were amazed and didnt really understad what we had seen . when all of a sudden there was another craft coming from the west sky, it looked like a rocket and it was moving very fast toward us.

We watched as we turned into the drive of our home and regocnized the rocket as being an airforce jet heading in the direction that we had seen the teardrop crafts. I than understood that the objects that we had witnessed had shown up on radar and the airforce was on persuit. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

Slow moving silent triangle defined by pale yellow chevron and a single bright center light with moving north in southern Vigo Co. I was driving west on Harlan Drive (commonly known as Stuckey Road) about 4 miles east of US Highway 41 in southern Vigo county. I saw a bright light in the sky to my south at a fairly high angle of elevation.

There was little apparent motion of the light, not unusual in itself. This is about 10 miles south and a little west of Hulman Field (airport) where F16 fighters fly in and out all the time. However the duration of event and its lack of apparent motion and the brightness of the light were triggers for my interest.

I turned south on Hutchison Street off of Harlan, still on my path home, and I saw the light was now less intense and I stopped my car about 1/2 mile south of Harlan Drive and got out to look at this object. At this point I could discern that there were five pale yellow lights in a symetric chevron with the point in the direction of what I perceived to be a slow movement in the direction of north by northeast. The apparent size of the object was about the size of my thumb with my arm fully extended.

There was a single white light in the center of the apparent triangle formed by the vertices of the pale yellow chevron and this light flashed on and off at a slow rate. The center light was not a harsh white like a strobe light. Also the white light seemed very big for a what would normally be an anti-collision strobe light on an aircraft.

I watched the object over the period of a few minutes gradually go north and become obscured by a tree line to the north. It was completely dark, the sky was partly cloudy and the moon was almost obscured by clouds. I could not determine the actual size of the object as I had no references to determine its actual altitude.

If it was a small craft like a fighter, it was pretty low; if larger who knows?. I could detect no sound. This object might have easily been some kind of conventional craft, but I have never seen any aircraft with such pale yellow running lights on the leading edge of its wings, and operating so quietly.

There w! ere no red/green navigation lights. Hence this registered very strongly with me as an unusual sight. For what its worth, I am not qualified in any way as an aviation expert; I am ex-military.

This thing did not spark anything except curiosity in me, and I tend to doubt this was any kind of ET craft. However it was flying; it was a real object; it was strange enough to be called unidentified. So in my book, its a UFO.

it was round with huge red lights It was right above the tree tops not moving. From my view it looked like it had red lights going all the way around it. I started driving away and about 4 miles up the road i could see it floating slowly to the souteast.

The scary part was it looked to be about half the size of a football field from the way the lights were spread out. Thank you for your time.

The object was bright and stauled. I was leaving home one morning and was traveling for Thanksgiving. After about 5 or 6 minutes on the busy dark highway of I-465 I noticed flashing lights of different colors breaking through the early morning clouds.

I first thought it was an airplane but it wasn't moving at all. From beginning to end it wasn't moving. It just dissapeared in a flash from then vanished into the clouds.

Another scary thing about this was that it was right above the skyline of Indianapolis. Scary but true.

hovering light over Avon for 10 minutes sends signal then disappears Saw light for about 10 minutes or so not moving at all. Upon flashing my flash light at it, it seemed to flash back but not in any specific order. I thought for a while it was the top of a distant antenna about a mile away.

I turned away to start my work and looked back in less than a minute and it was gone. There were no other lights or planes to be found in the sky, and at dawn in about 20 minutes i was able to see there was no antenna ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous. PD)).

Bright orange light that appeared after the solar flare, disapeared within 5 or 6 minutes. My sister, neice, nephew and I were coming home from the Humane Society and talking about the solar flare that had just occured when my 11 year old neice said "What's that orange thing?" The other three of us looked straight ahead to the horizon (the object looked to be in the midst of some wispy clouds in a southwest direction.) I automatically said "It's one of those planes that leave streaks in the sky" until I realized it wasn't moving at all, it was just a bright orange oval shape hovering in the sky.

We stopped the car to get a better look, but then continued down the road to the house. My neice and I grabbed the binoculars and hopped on our bikes, but once we got back down the road where there were no trees obstructing our view, the object was totally gone without a trace. The wispy clouds hadn't changed much, so we're not sure if it was a trick of the light or what.

Sky Boom possible Sonic Boom At 5:05pm, Clear Sky. The northeast side of the city was rocked by a Sky boom/Sonic boom. Strong enough to rattle windows, set off car alarms for several blocks and drew people outdoors and scan the skies for source.

At 5:10 local Fire Departments rode the streets looking for source. As far as I could judge by scanning the fire and police band radios it was felt and heard up to radius of two miles and center being at the 46 and Emerson Street area. There were no emergency runs or calls.

Steady, non-flashing, rotating red light moves off to west. Iam a 52 year old college graduate and part time UFO researcher. Last night while driving home from work, I noticed a red (about the color of a stop light only a little darker) spherical, steady light about 40° above the horizon to my left.

At first I though it was a tower light but then realzed it was too high. It appeared to be stationary but I wasn't certain because I was moving at about 50 mph. Anyway, As I kept glancing at it, I noticed that an elongated, vertical, dark spot kept moving from right to left across the object/light which seemed to indicate that it was rotating.

I looked for a road to turn off on but it took a few minutes and by the time I saw the light again, it had moved westward and was closer to the western horizon. Soon thereafter it moved out of sight. NOTES: I am an experienced observer of the night sky and of various types of aircraft and their light displays.

This object, whatever it was, had a shade of red that I have never seen on an aircraft. Plus it appeared to be rotating and I saw no white or green flashing anti-collision lights. The sky was clear and the object was about three times as large as Mars appears to be.

Mars, by the way was in a different part of the sky. I was driving on S.R.

#7 in Indiana at the time and the object was just east of Columbus, Indiana in the northern sky. This was DEFINITELY not a twinkling star or a flare.I"ve seen both of those many times.
