Ellipsoid-shaped reflective UFO gliding at high speed over the University of Chicago What at first appeared to be a drone emerged into my sightline as I was sitting on the fifth floor of the Regenstein Library. As I put on my glasses, it didn't appear to be any kind of drone I knew. The UFO was metallic, almost a silver color, with a darker line in between the top and the bottom of the oval-shaped chassis.
I was in the Air Force for six years, and would consider myself to be a professional plane-spotter. This was not an aircraft that I am familiar with. It moved similarly to a helicopter or drone, but had no propellers or engines that were visible.
It moved fairly fast, at what I'd estimate to be 350 knots. I pulled out my phone to take a single photograph, which thankfully is a live photo (a short 2 second video), but the UFO was gone before I got a second one. As the UFO was moving, it was spinning in the air, which is visible in the photo.
There appears to be a small beam in front of the UFO, but it may appear to be something pulling it along. As you can see in the picture, the sky was incredibly clear with few clouds.

Fireball lights that moved in sky then disappeared behind the night sky I was sitting on my bed when i looked at my security camera and noticed circular lights on the screen. At first i thought they were fireflies but the lights appeared to be at a further distance. I got up and looked out my bedroom window on the second floor and witnessed what appeared to be fireballs in the sky but they were moving.
I immediately woke my husband up and told him to look at the sky, “i think i see UAPs”. He looked and said, “Yeah, that does look strange”. I then ran to another window fully facing east and saw the orange lights flicker then ascend behind the night clouds.
I believe my neighbor’s guests witnessed it too because they had a drone flying, looking East. I also noticed an aircraft flying high in the direction of the lights before they disappeared but this could not be caught in the camera. I reviewed my security camera that captured the lights moving as well as one light that appeared to shoot upwards after appearing to be close to the ground.
When I rewinded the footage it appears that the sky flashed like an impending lightning then a few minutes later the lights appeared. Perhaps the flash was when they entered the atmosphere. I noticed there was another sighting tonight caught on the security camera, this time at 20:25pm.
There were only two crafts this time.

Object moving from southwestern to the east. Banked to the left heading northbound. Flume spread w/two close engine trails.
My friend and I were watching the eclipse in its entirety. The skies were partly cloudy yet very clear. At the end of the eclipse we noticed an object in the distance racing across the sky from the southwest heading east towards earth.
It looked as though it was a comet as it was at a very high altitude with its spread out blazing trail. While it was getting closer to the earth, we started noticing how unconventional the trailing flume was. Seemed to be sparkly at times.
The flume trail would spreadout in an equal distance while curving on both sides with two (looked like) precise separate engine streams centering the flume. The flume only lasting a very short time dissipating shortly there after during its whole fly by. Not like a commercial airliner straight, steady trail would have.
The closer it got, the more visable it became. There was no sound on the approach nor on its fly by. Note: Very hgh altitude single jet streams are visible, and steady in the area as commercial airliners pass overhead.
However this object flew lower and lower as it got closer and closer. As it neared getting closer, within a couple minutes it banked towards us to the left heading north bound. When it was banking, it looked like an F-14 Tomcat but with a solid, dark grey, blue with silver Metal body, the wings were solid starting from the very front center mid center point then angle out to wing length going all the way back to the very back of the object & had a lengthened, centered cockpit.
It had a small white bright light on its left side as well. However it may have been the sun hitting, reflecting in that spot. The light didn't move as it seemed to stay stationary.
The F-14 are not in a current deployment stage. So your guess is as good as mine. While it finished its bank, it stayed heading north bound and faded in the distance as well as seemed to be slowly gaining altitude.
Steadily climbing. There was no sound as it approached or passed by, however there was a very faint sound of a jet passing a couple minutes after that lasted for quite sometime shadowing in the distance as it got further away. I've been researching the past few days on military jets having an exercise as well as other possibilities however unable to obtain any definitive results.
If you have any verification it was a military jet, or a UFO, we would appreciate what and who exactly was involved in this maneuver. Angle of elevation: 45 Degrees My attached pic is as close to what we witnessed to the best of my knowledge.

I took a picture as my husband was driving. I caught a white Tic Tac shaped object flying in the sky. I saw a bright white Tic Tac shaped object flying in the sky.
I took several pictures of it. It was exactly the same thing that our Navy fighter pilots filmed off the USS Nimitz in 2004. It was flying up in the sky out in the country near Arthur, Illinois.
It was in a diagonal elevation up in the sky from the passenger side window of my car. I'm not quite sure what the exact angle of elevation it was.

Crazy Light was first. The huge beam of light was the first thing that caught our attention from the Great River Road turnoff to go onto RT 92, towards Turkey Hollow Road and Andalusia. I at first thought a plane had taken off from Moline Airport and was in trouble, due to being just above the ground about 4 to 5000 feet above ground, acting like it was attempting to land.
The beam of light seemed to be following the same direction we were going, and within 3 minutes we determined it was NOT a plane. It looked like a huge spider with tiny short legs, and the light beam was shifting left to right and then we saw red lights flashing in the middle of the craft, that were blinking and the light strobing. The lights went all through the middle of the craft.
We were all talking throwing out WHAT exactly we were looking at. HUEY helicopter from the Arsenal, Stealth Airplane, Doomsday plane, Military Aircraft, Satellite falling from Space, a Comet, a Planet shifting? We also realized there was no sound, like an engine of a plane or helicopter. It was completely silent because I had rolled down the car window.
NO SOUND could be heard. Which was scary. We were just dumbfounded by what we were actually looking at, because NOTHING and I mean NOTHING any of us have had contact or knowledge of being this HUGE!!! We then got a good look side view and this craft was long, and I am talking 2-3 football fields long.
As we turned onto Turkey Hollow Road, Rock Island to go to Fedex Ground where we work, the ball of light came our direction. This ball of light was like none I have ever seen anywhere. Once we parked, we scanned the sky and the ball of light was above an empty cornfield off Turkey Hollow Road, then lights went off and the craft just disappeared.
Like thin air disappeared. I have scoured the Internet for information, flights, Arsenal exercises, etc. I cannot find anything.
A few of the employees have quietly spoken and we all agree, it was a UFO. I am not good with angles, but it was just barely above the tree lines. Its why it caught my attention, thinking it was about to be a plane crash.
It was very low to the ground and the beam of light was blinding at first, making it difficult determining what it was and what was happening. IL RT 92 runs WEST to EAST. The light was in the North originally then went East towards us.

2 lights spotted over Mattoon This is what I was typing as I watched. I checked radar for clouds and a star map. I then went to my compass and got a bearing.
0308 3/19/24 45° NE 20° above horizon from my position white light moving east. Only saw a few seconds then it faded reappeared briefly at higher elevation 4 minutes later. Two sets now one descending other moving east 2 minutes after second sighting.
Definitely not stars.

Upside down black object with silver glints flying at quick speed Was having a cigar on my patio and noticed a hawk or falcon flying overhead a couple hundred feet or so but then noticed a black upside down triangular object much higher above the bird moving at a fast speed glinting in the sunlight (the sky was cloudless and bright blue) saw it traveling for less than half a minute before it disappeared from view over the roof of neighboring house.

MASSIVE triangle shaped object with a light in the center, "hiding" behind dark clouds. (FYI, this is taken form a post I made on Reddit. Just wanted you to know in case you stumble upon that.
This was not stolen from that post. I am the same person who posted it. I only took the parts describing the encounter and the object) It was cloudy, but not too dark at the time.
Kind of like just starting to rain / snow (mostly rain at this point, with a bit of freezy nonsense in the mix). I've been making a point to pay more attention to the sky for the last several years as I've been getting into this topic. I've never to this point seen ANYTHING out of the ordinary.
I've barely seen anything ORDINARY in the sky that was interesting (Chicago is not great if you want to see things at night). There was a gap in the clouds that was fairly close to the horizon, and I was following the gap as it was moving with the clouds. The gap ended up revealing about 2/3 of a triangle shaped object that looked to have been hiding behind the clouds.
It was either white or a very light silver/grey color and had a light in the center of it. After about 5 seconds of the clouds slowly revealing the entirety of it, the whole thing moved in a straight line down and to the left, putting itself behind the clouds again. That was it.
The whole thing took about 10 seconds total. Just long enough to get a VERY good look at it, but not quite long enough to do more than loudly exclaim "what the F*** is that?" which I did, loudly, to myself. I wanted to get the encounter out of the way before describing it in detail, because the encounter itself sounds pretty mundane.
There's a bit more to it. The cloud gap was near the horizon, and this thing filled the ENTIRE cloud gap. In fact, it did this even though I couldn't see the entire thing.
It's very hard to accurately describe just how massive this thing was. I'm confident that it could not have been an airplane unless it was a straight up hallucination (which of course I'd never rule out, I've just never in my life had that happen, so it'd seem a bit odd). It didn't look twice or even 3 times the size of a 747, the thing looked about half the size of the Chicago skyline.
The size of it is why I just can't believe that it was something mundane. There is nothing I've ever seen in my life, on TV/media/whatever or in person, that ever came CLOSE to that and was airborne. Now, what did it look like? I said triangle, but that's not EXACTLY right.
It was a triangle, but it was thicker in the middle than on the edges; not by a whole lot though. The odd thing is that it seemed like I was looking at the bottom, but somehow I could also see the thickness of it as if I were looking at it from the bottom and the side at the same time. I would say the color of it would have matched the clouds IF the clouds were white and not dark from the rain.
The light in the center was interesting too, because even though I've seen pictures of what appear to be physical UFO's with lights, this didn't look at all like the pictures I've seen. This looked like a dome light in a house. Like the light was recessed into the object and the edges of the recession were rounded.
The light was massive as well; it absolutely dwarfed the moon (not that it was bigger than the moon, just that it appeared larger at that great of a distance, meaning it was HUGE). The light just kind of emitted out of the hole, and it wasn't very bright. Last thing I wanted to mention is how it moved.
It did not move like an airplane. It was absolutely still when the clouds revealed it, then it sort of shifted out of view. It didn't turn or rotate, but it was like it was sliding.
Like if an object were sitting on ice, and you pushed it from a dead stop. It was also interesting because I thought I was looking at the bottom of it, which would mean that it was at a pretty decent angle, as I was not directly under it but driving toward it on the highway and it was very far away. It didn't seem to do any adjustment to its heading or position, it just "slid" behind the clouds.
In addition to this, but not related directly to the craft itself. I had an uncle who passed away about 10 years ago, and at his funeral, his brother played and sang the Beetles song "Here Comes the Sun". For 10 years, I had skipped that song when it came on the radio and turned it off if it popped up on a playlist somehow.
I just couldn't listen to it without crying. IMMEDIATELY before I had my sighting, I listened to this song for the first time since then, and while I teared up a bit, I felt more happy than sad this time. Either way, there were some very strong emotions going on as a result.
I don't know how notable that is, and it feels egotistical to think that my emotions could have any connection to this sighting, but at the same time it sure as heck feels that way. --Wanted to add here. I checked that I'd like to be contacted by an investigator.
I don't know that there's much here to investigate unless this is part of a larger series of sightings. Best I can do is repeat the same story as above. If you feel that's worth talking to me about, feel free.

I am sure it was a ufo and I know the airport witness it. I went to take the garbage out at 4:40. I had seen what I thought was a very bright star but it was too low.
As I am walking slowly observing this I look around and I can see other stars very high. There was no clouds and no sound. At the same time facing the airport and the house infront of me I see coyotes running so fast around the house once, and then down the street.
The bright light started moving up then, it started to swirl around and went straight up and disappeared. It was still not as high as the stars when it disappeared. It lasted about 9 seconds.
As soon as it disappeared the coyotes came back and ran in the back of the house they had first came out from. I looked at my phone check the time it was 4:56.Then I went on my app that tells me if there are any Airplanes in the sky.
There was no Airplanes near the airport. When planes or the airshow happens at waukegan airport or Flying above my house, I pay attention to sound and this had no sound. I know people at the airport seen this as well.
There has been 3 different but similar things happen that can not be explained and one of thoes times we had proof and are camera lost the data for one minute. The time it happened you can see before it happened and after. Why in that min it went like static and skipped the time.

I saw a white circle suddenly appear and then disappear. I was out smoking on my patio when I saw a white, circular object appear and then disappear. This was not anything that I have seen in person.
The object was unidentifiable to me. I live close to O'hare Airport (ORD) and a regional airport. I didn't have any equipment with me and there is no recording of it.

Black and shaped like a diamond with 5 lights underneath. One blinking, the other 4 solid. I saw a black shaped diamond craft hovering above a corn field.
It was silent and moving straight ahead, silently. I didn't see anything that made it seem like a consumer grade drone, and it had 5 lights. 1 blinking and 4 solid.
I know at least one other person saw it and turned around. I gave a video of it.

Light was elevated above tree line, brighter than Venus. It disappeared, by reduction, and appearing to reappear 10-15° to the right. A light brighter than Venus often appears in the sky in this area.
It will remain for a set period, and suddenly go out. On this night, I filmed it on my S22 Ultra, capturing it "blip" out, reducing in size. My naked eye saw it was not an effect of my phone- the object in fact ceased to be seen.
Then, about 10° or so to my right, a light of the same attention appeared, and remained.

Several objects that appeared to travel together The neighbor texted my spouse and said there was something in the sky. My spouse and I went out and took a video and checked ring cams. The neighbor and her family also watched the objects and took video.
The objects moved slowly as seen in photos and video. The objects were below and in cloud level. Shortly after, we thought we could hear jets.
It was cloudy. An Air Force base is in the direction of the sighting.

Viewer was driving home from work. Saw "3 balls of light" that fell amazingly fast towards the ground. Sighting lasted <5 seconds.
I'm submitting this report on behalf of a friend. We'll call him M for the sake of privacy. This happened at around 11:15 p.
m. on road 156 traveling west, leaving Waterloo IL and driving towards Valmeyer IL. M was just outside the city limits of Waterloo, and his sighting was brief.
He describes "looking at the moon" on the way back from work when all of a sudden 3 "balls of light" in a trianglular formation caught his eye off to his right, so that would be rougly due north/north-west based off of his direction of travel. He reports the lights "fell" from roughly 200-250 (rough approximation) feet down to the ground with baffling speed. Faster than anything should be able to fall, or fly, for that matter.
The entire sighting lasted less than 5 seconds. He was driving and did not stop to see what happened to the lights once they reached the ground, or near ground level. According to him, they did not illuminate the ground, houses, or trees that he could see.
As for personal notes, he assures me he is positive it wasn't any mistaken reflection, his eyes playing tricks on him, or a case of mistaken lights, like that of a street light, radio tower, or any known craft, including helicopters, planes, or drones. He says he feels it was "close", that he could "walk over to it" within a short amount of time if he wanted. His guess is less than half a mile away.
For his background, he works at a manufacturing facility that I won't name, and was getting off of work driving home. He is a man in his early 20s. If it matters at all, he is a deeply religious Christian, and has told me in conversations previously (much before this incident) about this topic that his belief is the same as the church father's writings.
That "UFOs" people see are demons. I did not ask him if he wanted to clarify or change his personal belief about "UFOs", as he seemed to need more time to contexualize his feelings about the matter and his sighting.
