Silent balloon shaped object I observed craft move from north to south at 45 degree angle. It was silent, white in color, apparently several thousand feet altitude, fairly large, moving at 200 or so miles per hour. The silence was the unusual thing.

A balloon would make considerable noise, even at high altitude. And the craft was moving too fast for a balloon. As it got far past me to the south a notices that it rounded out in shape.

UFO Sighting in downtown Chicago At almost exactly 10:30 P.M. on December 28th 2003, i saw a UFO in downtown Chicago.

I was walking along the lake, going southbound on the walk right next to the lake, a few hundred feet before the buckingham fountain pathway. From my perspective it looked as if it were hoovering over the shed aquerium and the observatory. It moved VERY quickly and manuvered around as if it were a toy plane being flown.

The lights on the UFO seemed to blink like a normal plane but it was deffinitly not a plane. There were broken up clouds across the sky, as if they were providing protection from being seen. When i made it back into my appartment, on michigan ave.

, i noticed a plane, or jet going very fast across the sky, toward the lake. At approxamently 11:15 A.M.

, December 29th 2003, there was a hellicopter that flew JUST over the buildings, which is VERY low and very unorthadox considering the terrorist threats. I feel something in the air.

Flashes of light I didn't actually see it, my husband and his brother did. They were walking outside to the car when it happend. They saw a light (they described it to me as looking kind of like a laser).

it went back and forth a few times extremely fast then it dissapeared. This happend three times. They came back inside to take me with them in the car, thats how skared they were.

When I went outside they even saw it again (this being the third time) I did not see it, they said it was happening right by the moon. The whole time we were in the car I kept looking for it, but I didn't see anything. I'm glad I didn't because I probably would of had a heart attack! ((NUFORC Note: Witness remains anonymous.

Silent wingless silver tube. The day after Christmas 03 my friend and I stepped out onto my Parents back steps on our way back home. We looked up and saw a silver wingless tube floating silently.

It was maybe only 1000-2000 feet up so that we could clearly see that it was not a blimp,airplane or helicopter. I remember thinking it looked like one of the train cars that transports chemicals. We got in the truck and followed it for a few minutes.

It then released a puff of smoke from the center of itself and vanished.We noticed a military plane fly right through the puff of smoke it had left behind. I have never seen anything like that before.

triangle object hovering above field next to me then dissappeared my experince was on 12/12/03 in loves park , illinois around 17:30 - 17:40. i was walking in the country for my daily walk. i always look at the stars.

i seen an object appear in the north sky traveling southward. it had 3 lights in a trianglur shape. it was moving slowly across the sky.

it then hovered above the feild i was next to. it was maybe 100-300 feet off of the ground. i could see it clearly.

it was dark in color. the lights were yellowish, i was kind of scared because i have never seen an object like this before. as it hovered i didn't observe any noise.

not even a hum. it looked like about the size of a small airplane. it started moving south then all of a sudden it turned northeast in a fast rate of speed.

then traveled northeast. there was a car that stopped to watch this object also. it then turned back southward then traveled really fast then all of a sudden just dissappeared.

no sound what so ever. the lights were in a triangular shape, one light on each corner of the object. my sighting lasted about 20 minutes total but seemed to last longer.

i have seen airplanes and satelittes,ballons,meteors,all of that before but have never encountered anything like this before. really wierd and scarry. i didn't tell noone yet because i don't think noone will believe me.

how do you tell someone you just seen a triagular object hovering over a field next to you. thats why i am reporting this to this site. that way you know about this and this is in your guys expertise area.

Orange object in sky. My and my friend were out trying out his new gun he just got, and i spotlighted a can for him to shoot, and then all a sudden, I see a huge round yellowish orange ball in the North-west sky. And as soon as it was there it faded from the right to the left side of it.

I tell him to look up and then a second one, or maybe the same on apears to the left and up and little bit of the first on and it's same yellowish-orange color, and same shape, and then if fades just as quickly. Then after that we both noticed alot of jet activity around the area, fast jets. And then nothing else happened it was so called normal the rest of the time.

A warning from another galaxi I have made contact with a race of beings not from our solar system. They told me that in about ten years the earth will be shifted out of its orbit and great changes will occur. They wont tell me if every one will die or not.

there plan is to transplant several humans to a planet similar to earth.I am one they have chosen to go.At first they were going to share their knowlege of what they call trans magnetic flux propulsion with us,but we shot at them and treated them as hostile.

They are monitoring us constantly and choosing people to go.Some people are already gone and have been living there for as long as 10 years.They asked me to write this so that some who listen will believe me and also be allowed to go and be saved.

Do not take this lightly a large mass is heading twords earth and will colide with us in ten years. The government knows this and is huridly trying to duplicate this alien propulsion to save only themselves.The aliens assure me they wont figure it out in time and they dont wont those type of people for the new earth.

They are violent and greedy and corrupt.Only the least of men will go and the meek.I have been chosen to go but I will be last.

I must stay until the end to warn people.Most wont believe me but those who do will be saved.If you are rich give all but what you need to others who have nothing.

Do not give anything to those who already have what they need like big charity organazations.Give and help dirrectly to the people or persons who need it and do it in secret.The aliens will know and will save you.

A new earth is waiting for you dont loose hope,in time everything you have lost will be restored to you.

Two red circles of light growing brighter ,then slowly dim ,go out and ,then reappear. My husband and I were driving home late heading west. I was sitting in the passenger seat and he in the driver's.

As we were talking I began looking out the passenger window to the north. A bright red object high in the sky caught my eye. I continued to watch thinking it was a plane but then the light slowly started to go dim and then out.

By this time my husband wondered why I was ignoring him and stopped the car. Then we were both looking out the passenger window when the light slowly reappeared and then one more a short distance from the first did the same. We started driving again and then turned heading north.

The lights continued to get brighter then slowly dim and go out then reappear. We watched the two red lights until we pulled in our driveway and could not see due to the trees. Neither one of us were under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

We did not try to walk around and see them through the trees, we just decided to go in and tried not to think about it.

Dull white starlike object traveling east to west Friday December 05, 2003. 11:27pm. I stepped onto my back deck like I do every night before turning in for the night, I looked in the sky and noticed that the sky has cleared after being cloudy all day, crystal clear.

And just then out of the eastern sky an object appeared, dull white almost starlike in appearance crossed over my house at speed. It traveled from east to west and made 1 manuver, right to left before dissaperaing into the western sky toward St. Louis.

This object left no con trailor sound, and traveled much fastern than any jet or plane and it seemed low in alltitude compaired to normal aircraft flight patterns around my house. space junk, meteroite I have seen both, and I dont know what this was!.

No outline visible other than the bright light. I am a retired eclectronics engineer. I saw a very bright light coming into view from the left at an altitude of 500 feet.

It was in my viewing range for approximately 4 seconds going from NORTH to SOUTH at tremendous speed. Calculated to be 1200 MPH.

red light darting across the sky, oddly spaced I saw a round, bright red light that resembled a reflector on a bicycle dart across the sky and fall below the horizon at an undeniably super power speed. This encouter took a couple of seconds to occur and gave me ample time to study the object and take note of the fact that it most definetly was not an air craft that is known to the general public. The object seemed to have take off from a standstill hover and jet down as if propelled; not a falling or orbiting object of any kind.

I should also point out that we later saw a low flying plane and saw regular commercial planes for comparison later which solidified my belief ( or disbelief!) that what I saw was neither a plane nor a helicpoter. After seeing the bright red light, I looked into the sky and saw an alarming number of oddly placed lights in the sky. It was early dusk and there were not stars out yet.

Also, I am familiar with the area in which this occured and have never seen these lights. Other people in this area have been seeing things lately and everyone here is talking about low flying planes. A lot more happened during this sighting that took place over 45 minutes, we even experienced slight time loss in that it took 55 minutes to drive 25 miles while we were driving at a constant rate of 6o mph.

One last thing, we never heard any aircraft sounds at all.

I was driving west on I90 about midway between Chicago and Rockford. IL, I saw a light travel horizontially south to north, then dive, then dissapear.

Light hovered for at least an hour with colors of white, green and red. I saw a light - too far away to tell exact shape. It seemed to just hover - it blinked (sometimes white, sometimes with green and red) and just moved around in a very small area.

Strange white triangular craft possibly military or not. I was having dinner and I noticed a strange airplane moving southward. It was flying lower than most of the planes from that direction usually do and higher than a helicopter.

Thinking it was strange I stepped out on the back pourch. The flight path was heading directly above my house, which is unusual. It wasn't going as fast as most planes in my area go, do to the distance from the Chicago airports airports.

I watched this plane, which was silent, until it came right above me, and at that point all I heard was a "shhhhhhh" sound. Well, I could clearly see the bottom of the plane. It was a white trianglular craft with bright white lights on all three corners that didn't blink.

The strange thing is it resembled (not exactly but similar) a stealth fighter. The tail section was not as notched out as a steath is, but it just looked similar. Anyway, as it went over, I knew I'd have to goto the front to watch it further south.

I ran through the house to see in to the south and when I got there it was gone. It was still day light, there weren't any clouds in the sky, and nothing to obstruct my view. Also, the craft wasn't moving very fast as I watched it out back.

The craft looked like it could have been a military craft to me, although I have never seen a white craft like this on tv or the internet. I did some searching on the internet to try and find any documentation of such a craft and was unable to find that information.

2 soft white lights, one disappears and reappears quickly next to the other during a sunset. was driving down I88 West, heading towards Aurora. I began seeing 2 soft white lights about .

maybe.a mile ahead of me. it happend like this.

was driving on expressway (I88W) and about 4:30 I saw the first star on the horizen. there were no other stars i can see. the sun was just setting.

about 2 inches to the right of a star i saw another light. it was much softer and not as well defined, i thought it was also a star. a minute or so latr i saw another light that also looked like a star soft white light.

it was also to the right, but maybe a half an inch to the right of the star and about an inch below. i watched them because it seemed like the 2nd light was moving slowly towards the 1st. then when the second reached about half way it disappeared.

now i was interested. so, there wasn't much traffic, so i kept watching. i still could see the first light, and i didn't seem to move, relative to me (probably it was moving in the same direction as i was.

then the 2nd light reappeared next to the 1st light (in a few seconds which seemed fast to me), but it was a little dimmer. then the 1st and 2nd lights faded away. i couldn't see any ship, but it was unusual since this happened during sunset and there was still a lot of light.

also, the "lights" were such a soft white light that i didnt see any glare (like how a star or airplane has that makes it appear like a sharp pointy star shap), it was more of an absence of color. i think that is what made me take notice. but when the 2nd light disappeared, that was strange.

Lighted V pattern but couldn't determine whether it was one object or several About 9:30 last night, we saw lights in a V pattern moving together in unison. The lights were moving from southwest to east roughly. The lights seemed all the same color (white like).

The lighted pattern then disappeared very quickly. There was no sound. As the lighted pattern moved away the lights appeared to be at different altitudes.

Possible triangle caught on tape in Illinois. It was 5:10 AM on Nov. 13th.

I was letting my dog outside and I noticed a bright light to the south. It was still dark outside at this time. At first I thought it was a plane but it was not on a normal flight path.

I know this because I watch the sky quite often. Also it was moving too slow to be a plane. After about 30 seconds of watching this light move to the north I decided to get my camcorder.

I began to record and as I zoomed in I was shocked. There were three bright lights in the shape of a triangle. I taped it for about 30 seconds before my battery went dead.

I have watched this tape a dozen times and can see the faint outline of the triangle. Unfortunatly it is on a actual hi-fi mini tape and I cannot zoom in on the object. I need help getting this put into digital format.

Dimond shaped craft with pulsating multicolor lights -- very fast -- not a plane. While we were driving home, we all saw very strange pulsating lights in the sky. I pulled over and all three of us got out of the Volvo to stare at this thing.

The lights flashed and pulsated in patterns very similar to "A Close Encounter of the Third Kind" large mother craft. The craft shot up vertically, dropped vertically (very fast), hovered and then moved slowly away from us and then shot off faster than any plane we've ever seen. Having pilots as friends, I'm quite familiar with lights on a normal plane.

these lights weren't normal and we could see the dim outline of a diamond shaped craft.

4 object in daylight I walked out of a store on Randall road in Batavia, IL. I saw 3 objets flying in a circle. My first reaction was to think they were birds.

I quickly realized that was not the case. They were much too high to be birds and at that altitude, birds could not be seen. They were moving in a counter-clockwise rotation in a circle and silver in color.

Their path was not perfect or even eliptical. They moved in an erratic motion going closer and farther from the center of the circle. One moved away from the rest to the West and then disappeared.

The second one did the same. The third one moved in the same direction, but went much slower and slowly faded out. About 30 second later another object appeared to be the size of the first 3 put together.

It was silver at the top and went to bronze at the bottom. It stayed stationary for 30 seconds and then went straight up at a high rate of speed and disappeared. We did notice military jet in the area.

I couldn't tell what they were doing.
