Very fast, silent, moving craft enveloped by vapor, @ about 8000 feet AGL traveling SW to NW then W Standing on my back porch having a smoke, looked to South East, saw a very fast moving craft, had yellow, green, and red glow enveloped in a shroud of vapor as if it was an aircraft moving very fast. Apperared to be at around, 8000 feet AGL, I had to move very quickly across my back yard, to follow it across the sky traveling South East to Northwest but about halfway across the sky above my house it made a few jerky motions and changed to a more westerly direction and then was out of view. I waited for some sound as it had to be going greater then the speed of sound at that altitude but no sound ever came, it was absolutely silent.

About three minutes later I went back outside and a small light piston aircraft at about the same altitude was seen going from South East to North West. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous. PD)).

Blue oval shaped transparent light w/o an apparent source with red lights flashing around it. My cousin and I were looking for something to do so we decided to go on a road trip. We were traveling north in Iowa from our homes, and were driving for about 55 minutes through some remote areas that I was familiar with.

Between the towns of Springbrook and Preston we noticed a strange light off to the left of our vehicle in a field. The light was an odd blue oval shape. The light appeared to have no source, and looked transparent.

The light also seemed to have a smoky quality, but there was no smoke moving. I noticed a small red light flash near the road (which was much closer to the car than the blue light). We also saw identical lights in and around the blue light.

The red lights were very dimm, except for the one next to the road. We circled around a 3 times and it was in the same place and we saw the same red lights. We then drove back to our and discussed the matter, and concluded there was no reasonable explanation for what we saw.

Green fireball Sonic Boom felt Driving from Minneapolis to Waterloo about 30 miles north of waterloo, A greenish whiteish light like a fireball with meteor like trail seen in field. Perceived to explode or crash? With windows rolled up, heard and felt a sonic boom a few seconds later. Nothing in the news or papers that I could find.

observed triangle shaped object fly from north to south at slow speed making no noise. Corners were glowing triangles While watching for meteors,observed a triangle shaped object fly from north to south.At each corner of object was a triangle that glowed a pinkish white.

At first it appeared to be 3 objects flying in formation.When it flew past Oriens belt the area between objects blacked out the stars that make up oriens belt.The object did not make any sound and left no contrail.

I'm unsure of how high object was flying but appeared low.There was zero cloud cover and no loud noise that would have drowned out noise from craft.

Low-altitude triangle with triangular shaped pinkish-white lights at angles. REPORTED TO NUFORC 11/20/2003 2:56:31 PM 14:56. Investigated by Iowa MUFON, Glen Singley.

On November 19, 2003, at 12:30 a.m., witnesses had purposely gone out to watch for meteors, and saw a silent triangle fly overhead so that they could view its underside, and watch it move from north to south so slowly that it took 3-4 minutes for it to disappear from view.

Altitude estimate is 400-500 feet. [NOTE: Witnesses specify TRIANGULAR SHAPED PINKISH-WHITE GLOWING LIGHTS at each angle of the triangle. It should be noted that Iowa MUFON has investigated another case recently where triangular-shaped lights were also noted, although the lights were not at the apices of the triangle, but rather along the sides of the triangle.

] At first, witnesses thought they were seeing 3 objects instead of just one, but when the object passed in front of Orion's Belt, they saw that it obscured some stars in the cluster, and that it was one object. 5 strange lights hoevering above ground My son and I were coming home after football game and we saw 5 huge lights in the sky very close to the ground and hoevering. We stopped to get a better look and when I got out of the car the lights dissapeared. We got back in the car and started back down the road when the lights reapeared one by one.

We stopped again got out then they went out again. We couldnt hear or see anything when the lights went out when the lights were on it was cigar shaped and 5 huge white lights, the objest looked to be about 5 football fields long. That night there was a dance in town after the football game and my daughters way that kids at the dance were talking about the strange lights also.

Formation of white lights moving in a random pattern in a northwesterly direction Was standing on my deck when i observed 6 white lights that did not change color in a circular pattern, equidistant from each other moving in a counterclockwise direction, then a clockwise direction very slowy.i would say that the altitude was less than 2000 feet. The pattern then changed to a v formation moving northwest very slowly.

I went around my house to follow the lights and my neighbors parents were in the driveway unpacking their car.I asked the gentleman if he observed the lights also. He confirmed them and was as puzzled as I to what it could be.

There was no sound associated with them. They continued Northwest in movement and we lost sight of them because of trees.

Just after nightfall I observed a cluster of white blinking lights high overhead, moving steadily in a westerly direction. I was walking home, headed west. It was nearly dark and the full moon was behind me.

I looked up, noticing a bright star and wondered if it were Mars. Then I saw a white blinking light high overhead which I assumed was a plane, traveling northward. Then another blinking light caught my eye, quite a bit lower than the first.

Almost immediately I saw that this second light was accompanied by 5 or 6 more. They were all blinking, moving fairly quickly off to the west. They resembled a group of fireflies, yet their movements and the blinking seemed co-ordinated, not random, and they appeared to remain equidistant from one another.

Before I could discern a pattern or definite shape to the formation, it disappeared behind the trees on the horizon. I heard no sound. I've watched meteor showers before, and as a child once saw a spectacular auroral display, but have never experienced a UFO sighting.

Whatever this was, it was a lovely sight.

This Fairfield report of group of 5-6 lights is one of 3 reports at same time on same night in Iowa VERY IMPORTANT - THIS IS ONE OF 3 SIGHTINGS ON THE SAME NIGHT AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME (7:30 p.m. in SE Iowa, and somewhere between 7:30 - 8:00 p.

m. in Des Moines Metro area)in Iowa, witnessed by individuals in the 3 locations who are not acquainted with one another. FIRST sighting - reported directly to MUFON - was in SE Iowa at a farm fishpong near the tiny town of Belknap, in the Unionville area.

SECOND sighting (reported to NUFORC as follows: 10/8/2003 12:50/21 AM 00:50) was this Fairfield sighting, some 30 miles away from the Belknap/Unionville area. THIRD sighting (reported to NUFORC as follows: 10/17/2003 10:36:26 PM 22:36) was in Urbandale (Des Moines Metro area). ALL WITNESSES report a GROUPING OF SEVERAL LIGHTS (at least 5 or 6), with Belknap and Fairfield reporting the silent lights at somewhere between 10,000 to perhaps 25,000 feet altitude, moving fast: Fairfield, with considerable surrounding vegetation, had sighting duration of about 25 seconds; Belknap (2 men in open country at a fishpond)sighting duration was perhaps one minute; Urbandale reported lights moving very very slowly at estimated altitude of 2,000 feet, with total sighting duration of somewhere around 5-6 minutes, until surrounding vegetation obscured the view of the 2 witnesses.

Investigators assess all these witnesses as thoughtful,observant persons trying to relate as accurately as possible what they perceived. Total of 5 witnesses among the 3 sightings, this present Fairfield sighting having only 1 witness. MUFON Investigators involved among the three reports: Beverly Trout, Glen Singley, Pam Brackenbury, and Clair Canfield.

and 8:00 p.m.; and in SE Iowa at a fishpond the time was exact at 7:30 p.

THIRD sighting (reported to NUFORC as follows: 10/17/2003 10:36:26 PM 22:36) was in Urbandale (Des Moines Metro area). All witnesses report grouping of several lights (at least 5 or 6) with Belknap and Fairfield reporting the silent lights at somewhere between 10,000 - 25,000 feet altitude, and moving fast. The Fairfield sighting, with considerable surrounding vegetation, lasted only about 25 seconds.

The Belknap sighting (2 men in open country at a farm fishpond) lasted perhaps 1 minute. The one reporting Urbandale witness, reported 6 lights moving very very slowly at an estimated altitude of 2,000 feet, with total sighting duration of somewhere around 5-6 minutes until surrounding vegetation obscured his view and that of a man in the neighboring yard watching the silent lights with him. Investigators assess all these witnesses from all 3 sightings as serious, thoughtful, observant persons simply trying to relate as accurately as possible what they perceived.

Although there were 5 witnesses among the three sightings, in the Urbandale case only one witness was available for interview, and in the Belknap case, only one witness was availble for interview by investigators. a light that separated into three other ones, then a cross. Over 50 whitnesses!!, at fooball game. It was at my varsity football game, when i was standing at the sidlines when i see something out of the corner of my eye, a light.

Now this had to was very bright to see because of the fooball game lights. Its was a light that was flashing, i didnt think much of it until it split into 3 sepret lights then disopeard and reapered in the same spot but in a cross. Then it happened again in a different place.

There where about 50 whitnesses sense it was at a foot ball game. That night i did some research about local sightings and on this sight i found a 2 year old report of the same thing that happened hear in Onawa!!! i coundn't beleive it! all i can say is that theres something freaky goin on here! lol.

WE SEEN IT My sister and I where sitting out on my porch,and from out of no where it looked as if there was a funny shaped star moving from the SE side to the NE as I was telling her to look she thought I was nuts & 4 a monent so Did it was changing colors green,Kind of a diff shade of blue, AND FLASHING as it slowly moved, then a very bright RED,all the sudden there was kind of a flash and it shot about 1000 feet in the air.IT slowed down then stoped and didnt move at all.Flippin upside down and bouncing in a zig-zag form and droped im not sure how far but it came as low as our trees, spun around and waz comming twards us my heart was bounding so fast i didnt know what to do, as it came from 1st ave area and im very close at this point was going between 20&25miles in a st8 form lites red all the edges musta been about 40 or more of them at this point I had run down my stairs and was right under it and holding my flash lite on it.

It was silver more shinny then most silver and 2 large black things came out of the sides an it became much smaller, headed over the house and was gone it shot st8 in the air and I mean up No plane does that i ever seen and it was no jet,my sister b-came a beliver that nite .Hope my pics turn out because they came back on the 9th an 10th allso.

Flying ball of light too large to be anything explainable, also too fast and flew in zig zag formation and appeard and dissapeard insky It apearred in one part of the sky and dissapeared in the other. It was a bright light, it flew very fast accross thesky for its precieved hight and also very large. it also entered into a zig-zag motion for a short time before dissapearing.

we were star gazing, me and my friends were just looking at the stars and all the sudden from no where and into no where it happend. i have more of these to fill out. so email me if you want more but let me just say that ive never seen anything like this in my life, i know that it was no known plane or publicly known aircraft.

also it was no shooting star, no way in hell it was. maybe its some gov. aircraft no one knows about or something else that can be explained but i gotta say i never believed in these things til tonight really i mean i think there is life out there how couldnt there be but most of these ufo sighting i believed to be b.

s. now though im like one of the nerds trying to gather as much info asi can. i would respect any imput and be happy to talk further.

This craft appeared as though it was waiting to be inspected, but was so close I couldn't see it all. While driving the company's 18 wheeler on I-29 just north of Council Bluffs, Ia., I saw something through the top right of the windshield that looked like an airliner (but too many lights), banking then dropping down ( about 1 mile out).

When I looked back to the road briefly, I almost couldn't find it again but saw it hug the ground and cross to the interstate beyond the next overpass. When I drove around a mild curve and went under the overpass, it was ahead of me about 1/4 mile over the ditch moving northbound as I was. I left my truck in cruise at 60mph.

It only took a few seconds to catch up to it. It slowly picked up speed as I got nearer and when I was just up to the rear lights, It was traveling about 2mph slower than my 60mph, so I studied the craft the best I could. The bottom of the craft was only about 20'-25' above the road surface to my right and the leftmost white light (1 of 3) was just to the right of the truck cab.

What I could see clearly were three brilliant white circular disc shaped lights about 4' in diameter forming an equilateral triangle about 4'-6' apart 2 leading and 1 trailing center. A single bright red circular disc of lights approximate 3' in diameter located in the center of the 3 white lights. When approaching from the rear, I leaned forward to look up behind the lights, but couldn't see anything but black and a faint smoky or black misty wake like a boat would leave in water.

It looked like it could have been following the underside of the craft, but I really couldn't tell. The white lights were brilliant and looked like a hundred plus bulbs in a disc, but were too bright to see the light source, but they did not blind the eye when looking right at them. The light they gave off had a flood like appearance and lit the ground and the truck cab very well (about like hallogen).

The red disc of light was bright red but did not glare as much and I could see what appeared to be maybe 30 or more bulbs. The actual count could be higher. The craft continued to fall behind at the 2mph rate until it was well behind the trailer then slowed considerably as I continued at 60mph.

When a mild hill and then another overpass came, I could still see the brilliant white light glowing upward in my mirror even though I was possibly a mile or so away and over the hill. That was Tuesday, and I wasn't routed that way all the rest of that week. The following Sunday, I drove down there to investigate the area during daylight.

The ditch in that area extends approximately 50' over to a row of utility poles that are about 35'-40' in height all along the area this occurred. Since all during the event, I could not see the size or shape of the craft, this may help in some way. Also, I didn't get the precise locations of these, however I noticed there are a few lines coming from the utility poles and crossing I-29 at various points and appear to be elevated only about 2/3 the way up these poles.

Maybe that explains why the craft backed off when it did. I think it might have had to stay below radar or something. When I first saw it bank & drop, it went over to I-29 almost hugging the ground and I think it may have dropped where Loess Hills protrudes upwards just east of the interstate.

Also, I forgot to mention the craft moved along like it was on rails, (not even a wobble or bump), nor did it have an angle of attack, (it was perfectly level). I couldn't roll down the right window (it isn't powered and it isn't safe to reach that far), but I had on an empty trailer and was on fairly flat ground and the motor wasn't real noisy, and I did not hear any noise from the craft over the moderate motor and tire noise of the truck. it looked like it was gong slow because my car was movine same dorection but it was rilly moving along after I stoped I am listening to your radio show on KFAB 1110 AM Omaha Ne/Council Bluffs Iowa This letter is in regard to your guest speaker with the name just Ken, that said he seen a UFO north of Council Bluffs on interstate 29 in between exits 61 and 66, this is a stretch of road that I drive on a regular basis and in fact while I was listening to this particular program on my car radio I was driving I 29 just south of Council Bluffs. And have seen very much the same thing that Ken seen, but with further investigation I realized that I was being tricked by an optical illusion of airplanes on approach from the north landing at Omaha's Eppley Airport. These are some facts that Ken has left out, the stretch of road he is referring to is only about 3 nautical miles off the end of the north and south runway at Eplley airfield in Omaha .

Also this stretch of road is approximately 16 miles from Offfutt Airforce Base, Which is one of the most air guarded Airforce bases in the United States ( this is where they hid President George W Bush on 9/11/01), With these facts I realized anything at just about any altitude in this area would be covered by extensive radar by both Eppley and Offfutt. I am not calling Ken a liar, but like I had said his description was very much the same as I have seen on other occasions on the very exact same stretch of road, the difference being on one occasion I stopped my vehicle to get a better look and realized that a jet on gliding approach does not really make that much noise and on a dark night with their landing lights only shining on parts of the fuselage, gives it the appearance that it looks more like an odd shaped disc and because of the brightness of the landing lights it makes the non illuminated parts of the airplane very hard to see,.

Cloaking Cigar. I don't remember the exact date, but I was driving along route 65/69 on a sunny afternoon. I checked my driver side mirror to change lanes when I saw a silver colored object in the sky.

The object was easily noticed since the sun was reflecting off of the object. At first, I thought it was a blimp, but I found it peculiar that it did not move. Even more surprising, the object moved away at incredibly high speed and accelerated faster than anything I have seen before.

The object was "cigar" shaped and looked very similar to a silver blimp. The most unusual thing about this object is that as it flew away in the opposite direction, I noticed that the object became "transparent" and eventually it dissapeared completely. I could see clouds through the object like it was a semi-transparent mirror.

The effect was similar to the stuff you see in "Star Trek". I only saw it a few seconds in my driver side mirror, but it was definitely "not of this world". If it is technology invented by man, then I am most impressed.

I know the military has been experimenting with different types of camo technology, but as far as I know, the technology does not work this fast or effectively. I suspect the object is of unknown origin. Considering the time of day and the number of people on the road I was traveling, I couldn't have been the only person who saw it.

beautiful lights? I was talking to my daughter in the kitchen and my husband was standing at the sink getting a drink of water. He was looking out the window over the sink. For a moment we got quiet and I noticed my husband was in sort of a gaze.

The next second he said he had just seen a UFO. I was critical and asked him what exactly he meant by that remark. He had said he saw a light the size of a softball about hundred feet over the top of the neighbors house, hovering.

He then said it came towards our house in (specifically near our daughters deck which is on the third floor), stopped and then shot up in the sky and disappeared. I asked him why he didn't say anything at the time and he replied because it was so beautiful he couldn't say anything. Earlier in the week, we were driving down the street we live on and he said I nearly ran over a deep purple light hovering on the road in front of us.

He said it shot up in the air and dissappeared before I hit it. I never saw the light. I asked him why he didn't say anything to me and he said he assumed I saw it in front of us.

I didn't.

It was about 10:30. I had finished watching a TV show and i walked into my bedroom. When I walked into the room there was a blue and yellow light outside.

I didnt think much of it since my street is usually full of cars but just as i walked past it to get into bed I saw it. It was much like a tear. Blue lights circled the bottom of it and a yellow one at the top.

I stood there in disbelief watching it. It didnt move. It just hovered maybe 5 feet above my yard.

I didnt want to look away for fear i might loose it. In what seemed like hours it finally shot straight up into the sky in a streak of blue light. But i knew something had been there because i could see me trees leaves part as it shot in the sky.

A stationary flashing object in the lower atmosphere On the described date, I was attending a break at approx. 2:15 am. As i ws sitting in the lounge chair outside i looked in the sky and saw what i thought to be a star that was very "twinkly" so i moved to get a better perspective onyl to realize that the object was not a star.

As i examined it further, i noticed that it appeared to be in the lower atmosphere. about 15-20 thousand feet in the sky at a distance of about 3-5 miles away, also, the object appeared to be stationary during the whole time i observed it. The object also had 5 distince colors of; 2 reds which was in the middle and did not flash.

Yellow which was at the bottom and flashed and appeared to be spinning beneath the reds. Green which spinning on top of the reds and also flashing. Blue which flashed very quickly and often to the right of the red.

Although after 15 minutes of my break i had to go in the next crew on break came out and also saw the object and described the same thing. At 4:30 am when i came out on a final break the object that we were observing was not in the sky any more.
