small version of Orion's Belt. We were about 3 miles east of Anamosa, Ia when I saw 3 bright lights suddenly appear about 40 degrees up from the horizon in the northwestern sky. They did not flash and were white in color.

There were 3 lights in a perfectly straight line tilted about 30 degrees to the right. It looked like a smaller version of Orion's Belt, about 3/4 the size. The far left & far right lights were slightly brighter than the center light.

My 17 year old son was sitting in the front seat also and he saw the same thing. After about 10 seconds the lights faded out suddenly. There weren't any clouds in the sky.

We do a lot of stargazing and I've never seen a constellation like this in the northwest. The lights were too far apart to be an airplane. Maybe satellites tumbling at EXACTLY the same time ? Anybody else see this ? There's probably a good explanation.

Shimmering bright white light 3X size of Venus. Dripping, a tail, and variable at times. I was driving East on US 30 as dark fell.

US 30 runs directly east & west for 40 miles between Tama and Cedar Rapids, Iowa at this location. I saw a brighter than usual light in the distance a few degrees south of due east through my windshield as I was eastbound. The light grew brighter until it appeared like a brilliant Venus would in the morning sky.

It even had a liquid appearance at times just like Venus at its most intense. After about 5 minutes I noticed that it had not moved relative to the horizon. This eliminated a plane coming in from a great distance to the Cedar Rapids airport which was almost directly to my S.

E. from my positon. Suddenly the light doubled in intensity and appeared for a time to have a forked tail pointing downward and it seemed to throw off a particle or two.

At one point I thought I saw a faint line coming down from it. It stayed in the same place for over ten minutes. It briefly faded down to a bright ball of light but then flared again to a brilliant white shimmering light more than three times the size of Venus.

About twenty miles away the red blinking lights of 1000 foot towers around Cedar Rapids, Iowa were now visible. This object was twice as high up as their tops. I estimate that it was 15 miles Southeast of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Highway 30 turns SE as it approaches the outskirts of Cedar Rapids and at this point the light disappeared or went out. It reminded me somewhat of the Rendlesham, England sightings as it appeared to be fluid in its shimmering. It was above the point in the atmosphere at which rising stars shimmer and are magnified by passing through the atmosphere.

As I drove straight east for over twenty minutes this light did not change its location at all. A moving plane on a flight path would have shown some change relative to my own movement. The variation in intensitiy of the light also argues against a hovering helicopter.

It may have been farther away also and much higher up but it had to be at least 2000 feet up compared to the 1000 foot plus communication towers in the distance. It had an appearance similar to the "Star of Bethlehem" pictures we have seen at some point in our lives. I have just checked star charts and verified that Venus is now a morning star.

I am a long time amateur as! tronomer and can verify that this was not Jupiter or any star.

A moving circle of white light We woke at 5:22 am, looked out the east window of our house and noticed a very bright circle of light, it was stationary at first, and then slowly started to move to the south. It was very low to the ground, I would guess about 200 ft. high.

5 lights form triangle near Coralville, Iowa While traveling west on I-80 just east of Coralville, Iowa on a beautiful clear Friday evening at dusk, around 5:00 pm, we noticed two bright lights low in the western sky. At first we thought they were airplanes but they were not moving. Then three other lights appeared with the other lights in a curvy line similar to an S lying down.

Then the five lights moved around to form a huge triangle with the brightest light at the top and two at the bottom and the two other lights at the sides which turned into outward slashes similar to jet contrails with a pinkish tint. A few minutes later the brightest of the lights turned into a slash and headed to the left while the other lights disappeared. This lasted around 10 minutes.

It was a very strange thing to witness while traveling down the interstate. There were hundreds of cars on the road so I'm sure others saw this along with the four of us in our car. 5 lights seen from I-80 near Coralville, Iowa While traveling West on I-80 a few miles East of Coralville, Iowa, at dusk on a beautiful clear Friday evening around 5:00 pm, we noticed two bright lights low in the western sky. We first thought the lights were airplanes but they weren't moving. Then we noticed three other lights appearing.

They were in a curvy pattern similar to an S lying down. Then they formed a triangle with the very brightest of the lights at the top and two at the bottom and the other two at the sides - only the two on the sides turned into angled slashes - looking like very short, pinkish contrails from a jet. Later, all of the lights seemed to disappear except for the very brightest light, which turned into the contrail looking slash and seemed to move to the left and later disappeared.

It was a very strange thing to watch while traveling down the interstate. There were hundreds of cars on the road so I'm sure there were many who witnessed this besides the four of us in our car. He works in a field that would allow him to easily identify most aircraft. He stated that the objects did not maneuver like conventional aircraft. PD)).

Green triangle craft dropped out the sky and dissappeared. I was driving down Interstate 35 about two or three minutes south of the Story City exit, when I looked to the west and saw a bright green craft rapidly moving. It appeared to be a triangle shaped craft.

It left a blurred-looking trail. It was low in the sky and large. It seeminly dissappeared after five seconds.

I saw a similar looking craft last year at about this same time of the year only an hour south of where I saw it tonight. It seemingly dropped out of the sky and then dissappeared. It did not fly over the horizon just was there moving fast and then gone.

I am a senior in college and am a military cadet less than a year away from receiving a commission as an officer. I know military craft and this was nothing acknowledged by any government on Earth.

High flying objects spotted on Interstate-80 in Iowa on Sept 16th 2007 We were driving east on Interstate 80 in Iowa and it was very early in the morning, just getting light. I was watching what I thought might be a star but as I observed it, it's shape became more oblong and began to look more like a short contrail from a high flying jet but it did not appear to be moving or if it was moving it's movment was very slow. I thought perhaps it's a comet? It was very high up.

We continued to watch as is it's shape began to look more like a "V" and we took a picture of it. You could not really see the object as much as what appeard to be it's trail. We eventually passed under it at a very high altitude.

Then my freind spotted two more of these high on the horizon and we eventually passed under each of them. They were odd looking, not really like a jet aircraft. I have a good picture I can submit.

Stationary object with red, white and blue flashing lights. We too are seeing this object in the northeastern sky that is emmitting red,white and blue lights. The object has been noticable for a week or so now.

It stays in the sky through the night and is highly visible. The object is stationary and is emmtting red, white and blue flashing lights that are very noticable with binoculars. We thought we were going crazy until finding this site and seeing the same thing was posted from someone in Wisconsin.

It appears to be patriotic in nature although it is creepy, considering we are nearing 9-11 again. We would like to know what this is and get an explanation from someone. this was witnessed by 3 others besides myself.

When I was about 10, I had laid down in bed. I looked at the clock and it was almost 11 at night. I turned my attention to the tv and within a matter of minutes I looked at the clock again and it was 4 in the morning.

I was extremely confused. My window was open and I had all of my clothes on except my underwear. I can not account for the time missing.

The next incident was in 2012. I got up in the middle of the night to grab a drink from the fridge. I had just opened the fridge door, when I saw this light coming through the sliding door.

I wasn't afraid, and the light came in and grabbed my foot. The last memory I have is floating upside down above my apartment complex. The next morning I woke up and thought it was a crazy dream.

But when I got up, I noticed my sliding door was slightly open. Shortly after I found out I was pregnant. My son was born in March 2013.

ET over Rock Island Nuclear Arsenal It was Saturday of the labor day weekend of 2002 when I was driving from Des Moines to Chicago. As I neared Davenport, I was about 10 miles west, I noticed a small silver object at about 8000 ft in the air, that was straight North of Davenport. The object was going slow, and then in a burst of speed headed straight South and slowed and stopped somewhere over the Davenport area.

As it slowed, it turned red and had a slight bounce to it. It settled to a stop and continued to glow red. After several seconds it accelerated and headed back North and within a few seconds it was out of sight, also when it accelerated it turned from red and back into a silver object.

This year, 2004, I again went to Chicago for the labor day weekend. I examined the map of the area that I saw this object over and learned that the Rock Island Arsenal is right directly south of Davenport. Our so called leaders have assured us that we are in danger of a dirty bomb attack, this could be true, and instead of being made in the Mid-east, it might actually be from the Midwest.

I have noticed recently reported sightings in Kewanee, Atkinson and Prophetstown Illinois. I think that these higher level beings are marking the locations where we might find the people who are working their hardest to bring about a thermonuclear winter as a way of saying thanks to us for giving them our tax money. I have a website that gives a few thoughts about what this ET intervention is all about.

Bright light, moving back and forth, raising up in sky with flashes of different colors Bright star like object in the North-East sky. Moving back and forth, up and down. Started out above tree line and slowly moved up further in the sky.

Had flashes of multiple colors. When it was closer to the ground, there were lightning like flashes with no streaks.

shooting star look alike but didn't fade or travel in a straight line! at first this object appeared to be a shooting star, but did not travel with the same speed as shooting stars that i have seen in the past. it also took a more oval path instead of a straight line. i witnessed the object travel from west to east while facing south, and lost the behind some trees and houses after about 15 seconds.

A formation of three black winged objects very high up was sighted on a clear morning. I heard a sound of jet like engines or rushing air briefly from overhead. I looked up with prescription sunglasses into the morning sky.

I saw two black winged objects high up, soaring but with no wing flapping at all. They were flying to the South West. The interior side of the wings were curved inward.

I then saw a third object move closer in to join the other two just as one made a turn toward the South. They seemed too large for birds. They slightly resembled the U-2 planes or maybe the B-2 Spirit bomber.

The wings were scalloped on the trailing edge and this was apparent even at the great distance. I watched them for about a minute until they faded from view due to the high altitude. The formation flight of the three widely seperated makes this remarkable.

The date is approximate within a few days. I have watche high altitude birds fly such as Eagles and Condors and Buzzards but these were larger with more streamlined features.

Bright white translucent roundish object changed shape While driving we saw something bright white and translucent about 15 - 20 feet above us in an open rural area. It was unaffected by rain falling in sheets and strong wind; in fact, it was moving against the wind at a meandering random pace. It subtly changed shape and level, dipping lower and rising again away from us; it appeared ghost-like.

spherical solid object bright white hovering high up in clear sky then moving slowly out of sight It was a clear blue sky with one jet flying from NW to SE leaving a contrail. As I looked up at the contrail from my outdoor work, I noticed a very bright object off to the right of the contrail at a due South location about 35 degrees up. I could see that it was a solid white object gleaming in the bright sunlight.

It was not moving and was at very high altititude. It varied slightly in its brilliance, as if wobbling slightly toward a duller surface. I pointed it out to a co-worker who looked at it briefly.

I watched it off an on for 5 minutes. Then it began to move slowly in a flat trajectory and after travelling the length of a finger held out faded away. So it could not have been Venus and seems it could not have been a balloon as it remained steady for 5 minutes before leaving slowly.

A brief sound of motors could be heard somewhat like a jet helicopter just before its movement but I can't be sure it came from that object. I sure wanted binoculars at that point but only had a keen naked eye observation. At times the edge of the extreme object seemed to have a slight reddish glow.

It looked like a teardrop and kept dropping and rising back and forth in a diagnol pattern. My friend was standing next to me and saw it also. The colors on the teardrop continued changing from green to red, and in many other colors.

ufo hovering near interstste. I was driving off of exit 41 from interstate I80 east the ufo was sitting back north of the exit. The ufo gave off a pale gold light and looked metallic, and had a clear bubble though the center top to bottom .

I could see lighting shaped sembles on the out side of the crafte .The ufo hovered 150 to 200 feet above the ground, it had a slow blinking light which was gold in color. I keep driving south toward prairie meadows race track and the object just levitated in place.

i am walking then it comes over me then i fall asleep my friend and i were standing outside and all of a sudden a really high pitched sound came whizzing over us and we had tocover our ears but that did not stop it so we looked up just intime to see a huge oval shaped craft over us and in a blink of an eye whoosh it was gone and the pain inside our ears went away. I couldnt look up long enough to see any thing because there were so many colors and when i dreami keep thinking about aliens slicing my stomach open then i woke up and everythng was gone. but im still very afraid and thats why i am writing to you please tell me if this was a ufo or not i need to know because i know in my mind i will never be able to get the vision out of my mind so i know they exist and i need to know that someone believes me.
