UFO Sighting - Black Triangle. Close Up View Of Object. West Virginia 2002 Subject: UFO Sighting Location - Hurricane, West Virginia - Date: 12/08/02 - Time: 8:30 PM - Zip Code: 25526 Witnesses: 1 - Object's Shape: Triangle/Diamond Number of Objects: 1 Object had lights.

Object hovered. There was interference associated with the object. There was a: Cellular phone transmitter nearby.

Witness: 44 Years Old, Computer Programmer/Systems Analyst Event Description: Sunday, December 8th, 2002 8:30 PM. I was out walking my dogs. There was no moon out so it was very dark.

Something caught the corner of my eye and made me look up. I saw four very bright, large, round, white lights strobe-ing very rapidly forward. Then they would reverse and go backward.

The strobe effect was very rapid. To my amazement, a huge black “triangle” floated just over the tops of my trees. Then it stopped and began to hover near me.

To me it seemed like once it had my attention that it turned off the strobe lights and just hovered there. I suddenly realized that the object was not making any sound, not a peep. Aircraft fly over all the time, I can always hear the engine clearly, the private planes above the clouds let alone the jets.

And this was absolutely silent. Then small white lights on the top, bottom, front, back and sides started to do a little "dance." All of the smaller lights began to play a pattern.

First the two top lights would blink twice, and then the two lights at the front of the craft would blink twice, then the two top ones again, and then the two back ones, etc. It went through the pattern until it had blinked every sequence it could with the number of lights that I could see. The object appeared to be dark except the lights, black in color.

It was darker black than the night sky. The object was very large and solid, I couldn’t see stars through the object. I estimate the length to be between 60ft to 100ft long judging by the trees and houses and other landmarks in the area.

I couldn’t tell how wide the object was because I was looking at it from the side and slightly below. Suddenly, four much larger diamond shaped red lights appeared at the rear of the object, themselves arranged in a diamond pattern. I could see them because the object slowly started to pivot towards me.

The diamonds had a “grid” inside them that reminded me of a honeycomb. I knew then that I was seeing something totally unknown. They just stayed on for a moment, and then went out.

They were so bright that you could see that the object had a kind of triangular or diamond shaped tail end. Or maybe like two inverted pyramids with a notch on the top and the bottom. And this “tail section” was large enough to house these large red diamonds.

Finally the object flashed the lights in a kind of “grand finale” with the small white and big red diamond lights flashing a pattern together using all the lights. I just stared motionless, even my dogs were standing perfectly still in the snow. Then the object started to move away, flying very slowly.

Just gliding along, in no hurry at all. It didn’t look like it was worried about radar, fighter interceptors or anything else. Although it was probably flying too low to register on radar.

It started to turn in a slow bank at about 45 degrees towards a nearby cellular phone tower. Right then as it flew near the neighbor’s house across the street, his truck's alarm went off. It continued to honk until he finally had to come outside to stop it.

I wanted to shout to him to come look at this thing, but it was already getting further away. My neighbors don’t live close by and he couldn’t see it from his point of view. I also thought about running inside and trying to get my camera, but I just couldn't take my eyes off of it.

As it moved further from me, the patterns got simpler and the red diamond lights came on less often. I was very relieved that it was moving off, away from where I was standing. While it was right above me the lights were flashing nonstop.

It moved close to the cellular tower which also has lights on it, to let aircraft know it is there. But it only has two beacons, slowly blinking white lights like you see on any tower. The object blinked its white lights at the tower and the lights on the tower began to blink rapidly as well.

It seemed to linger in the area of the tower for a short time and then starting moving steadily away. I stared at it as it moved slowly further away. Finally, after about 5 minutes and it getting cold I wanted to go inside.

When I turned my back around again the object was gone. I thought that was strange too, because I thought I should have been able to at least see a little dot but nothing. I have no idea what it was.

But I do know that I know a lot about airplanes and have seen them fly over at night many times. Their collision beacons blink very slowly and they have a small red light on the tail that stays on at night. This was *nothing* like that.

It was as if these lights had a program written, to get them to create a little light show. I don't know why any aircraft would have something like that. I wouldn't have believed if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.

It sure was unusual; I've never seen anything like it in my life. I'm not too sure if I want to again either.

A momentary sighting of a large bright circular object flying through the sky. I was leaving home for work, going from unincorporated community of East Dailey, Randolph County, to Elkins. As I was driving alone crossing the bridge of the Tygart Valley River heading north and toward US219, I suddenly observed a bright light going from West to East like a fireball or sphere (cirular about the size of a basketball if up close).

The treelines hindered my view somewhat but it only lasted about a minute or several seconds. It was very bright and moved very rapidly and would have appeared to be over Beverly looking toward the distant horizon. This was very unusual and really caught my attention.

Riding in the back of the car a friend and I looked out the window and saw a huge silver thing in the sky. It was round cylinder shaped, but rounded up like a circle at the end. It stood perfectly still no movement at all.

It started out as five lights, then went to one bright light, then the light turned into a ring, and then back into a ball. Well, at about 2:30 in the morning, I walked out on my porch. I heard a siren type noise, and it seemed to be coming from every direction.

I walked off my porch and saw what I thought were five search planes because they had a bright light in the center of them which slowly blinked. They were, I'm guessing, about two hundred feet up. They all came really close together, and then the siren noise stopped.

They flew over the ohio river, and just stopped there. Then, there was a weird swishing noise, like you would expect to hear at the beach. One of the lights faded out, and the rest of the lights grew brighter, and it happened again and again until there was only one, extremely bright light.

The light started to dim, and then it changed from a weird ball shape to a more of a ring shape. The ring was about 15 feet in diameter, not very big at all. The ring started to spin, and then stopped.

The light fell into the water, and then came back up again, kind of like when you are flying a kite and it goes down and up. From what I saw, It looked like it was making the water come out of the river and flow straight up like a rod. The water stopped when it was around ten feet off the river.

Then, the water dropped back into the river and the ring formed a ball again. The ball just kinda fell into the river and the light went out. I'm not sure what it was, but I am pretty darn sure it wasn't a plane.

The object appeared in the southwestern sky and appeared to be a star at first glance. What made me more curious was the fact that it was very low in the sky. With the naked eye it appeared to be in the shape of a cross, but when I got my binoculars it was apparent that it was a disk or saucer shaep.

It was really cllear. There was an incredibly bright center light with large illuminated panels or windows in a disk or saucer shape. It appeared that ther was also something going on on the ground for at least the first 15 minutes.

A beam of light went from the object to the ground. The object moved one time like a dart to an elevated space and then quickly moved back again. ((NUFORC Note: Sirius would be in the southwestern sky at this hour, we observe, but this is only a guess.

it was over my car. i was on my way home from a football game and i was loking out my window it was dark so i couldn't see much but i saw lights and had a substance around it they were shaped as a triangle there was three of them two of them were biger than the other they seemed to be getting closer and then they would disaper but a few min. later they were back.

i got home and looked through my telescope but i didn't see anythingn that was the last time i saw anything ((NUFORC Note: We have assigned an arbitrary time and date. PD)).

UFO over Shepherdstown, WV on 10/31/02 I saw a craft similar to the picture - http://www.nuforc.org/S53138.

jpg - hovering over Shepherdstown, WV, while traveling from Sharpsburg, MD, on Rt. 34 near the Antietam Battlefield. It seemed to hover for about five minutes.

It was hazy out & the lights appeared to fade back up through the haze after a few minutes. Assumed haze was normal, but on the MD side of the Potomac River (that seperates WV & MD in that area) was clear. However, I thought the red dot in the center might have been a plane, as the triangular lights appeared to move and rotate in synch, but I remember the red dot moving seperately.

The craft was at least as large as described in the picture, as it appeared over the town of Shepherdstown, WV, while I was about a mile away from where it would have been hovering. On a randon side note, there is a Government Wildlife Area that is fenced off, but does have an above ground facility (can't remember the name off hand). When I just tried to find it on MapQuest, there is no reference to it.

People in Shepherdstown report black helicopters and SUVs frequently, especially on 9-11-01. ((NUFORC Note: Date of sighting may be approximate, although the witness does not indicate that fact. PD)).

it had a transparent covering with 4 lights inside it that glowed 1 bright at a time , but all were visible. it looked like a long slime line with a transpartent covering with 4 individual lights that seemed to glow 1 brighter than the next in order, the lights were a soft yellow like 4 compartments inside 1 craft, they didn't blink like on an airplane, but were moving slowly from 1 to another,moving southwest at a high altitude, at first i though it was a blimp, but relized it was to high ,i live near an airport and have never seen anything like before or since, at daytime or at night!.

Strange lights in the sky, Bluefield West Virginia July 29-30 2002 I was looking at what I thouhgt was Venus and I thought it was too bright, so I looked around the sky yo see if any other stars were shining that brightly. Basicly I turned my head, and when I looked back toward the planet/star, it was gone. This gave me a creepy feeling at first but was soon replaced by more wonder.

Right there where the planet/star was a minute ago, there were 2 lights, not as bright as the other stars at first and they were moving. They flashed and blinked blue , red and white. They moved very slowly and finaly disappeared behind a mountain.

This was to the north of me. I thought that this was extemely odd, then I saw another two lights , possibly the same ones , so I went and got my camcorder. They floated out of sight just like the first two, and as soon as they were gone there would be two more.

They seemed to travel in pairs or threes. This pattern repeated. I had probably seen ten or twelve of these lights when I looked over to the east and what looked like a helicopter shining a spotlight was coming right at me.

It came within 100 yards and then turned and moved into some trees , I could still see it betwwen the trees and finaly it disappeard. This object made no sound at all. The other lights came and went for about 2 hours and then finaly stopped at about 12:30 AM.

None of these objects made any noise and moved very slowly. To the naked eye there seemed to be something coming off of these objects, not like smoke but more like an aura or a haze. I haven't been given an explanation for these sightings.

I have about an hour of video where you can plainly see how slow they move and that they made no noise. I have the strange spotlight on video as well, the images are shaky because it is a cheap 8mm camera and i couldnt see the lights through the viewfinder so I wasnt sure I was getting them on film. I just got lucky.

And when I went to study the tapes , I came to a conclusion that these pairs and threes of lights were most likely not seperate crafts but one larger craft. I foun! d this a fter examining the video and saw how the lights blinked in a rotating sequence. My mother witnessed these events as well.

All I can come up with is that they were some sort of balloons. Thats the only aircraft that I can imagine would move so slowly and so close together and in such numbers. The helicopter like light is what confuses me.

The only thing that could have manuveured the way this thing did would be a helicopter. Actualy I dont think that a helicopter could have flown through the trees the way this thing did. It seemed to shine a light right down at me the way a helicopter would.

And it was probably less than 100 yard away. The odd thing is that it was silent,not even a hum, so I have no clue what it was. At about midnight or just after , a jet flew through the sky right through were these other objects were, but it came from a different direction, the south.

It was obviously a jet because it moved fast and made a jetlike noise. After this I only saw 1 more set of lights. My mother and I both concluded that these were not airplanes or helicopters because of the speed and the lack of sound.

I am 31 years old, I have no obsession with the parnormal, I did like X Files I will admit , but that was mostly because of how hot Scully was. lol. So I am not claiming to have seen alien craft or martians.

But I realy can't explain these lights and maybe someone else out there saw them too and will read this.

Changing orange object over treeline. I was standing outside talking on the phone around 11:50 P.M.

I was walking on my driveway/sidewalk. I just happened to look up, and I saw an orange sphere over the treeline. I didn't know what to think, at first I thought it was the moon.

Then I realized harvest moon is only once a year, and that would be in November and not in July. I sat down on the driveway, and notice the object was rising upwards. Then the object started shrinking down to a smaller sphere.

Then a black line cut back through it and it looked like the bottom piece "fell" off. The bottom piece disappeared and the top piece formed into a triangle. I was trying to explain it to my friend over the phone, and he went outside to see it, but he couldn't.

Probably being because we live quite a distance away from each other. So I went inside to tell someone and my brother wouldn't believe me. I went back outside and the object was shrinking off into a line.

Finally it just went away, and never came back.

Small light seen zig-zagging over West Virginia camp I was standing outide waiting for the next event on the shcedule of our summer camp when I turned my head upward. I saw a single, strange, white point of light zig-zagging across the sky. I followed it with my eyes as it zig-zagged.

It flew behind a small tree and back into view on the other side. After a few more seconds of zig-zagging, it stoppedfor a second anm then shot off like a bullet, looking just like a strike of lighting blasting thruogh the atmosphere.

A "star" that wasnt a star It was a little after 11:00 PM on saturday night. My family and I were all inside. My father was asleep, but my Aunt, brother, his friend, and myself were playing a game in the kitchen.

My aunt walked outside to smoke ( there is no smoking allowed insinde the house.) A few minutes later she called for me. She said she needed a second opinion about something.

I remember her pointing to the sky and asking me if i saw the "star" .i looked and saw what appeared to be a star. Then she told me to look closer because she didnt think it was a star.

As i looked closer I noticed it was flashing blue and red lights on both sides. After about 3 minutes the object shot up rather quickly.and stop very suddenly.

It continues to do this in different directions for several minutes. By this time I had woken my father up and got my brother and his friend outside. A couple of minutes later the object "flew" away very quickly out of site.

My son and I had extended viewing of glowing cylindrical object. We were both moving west at approximately 70 mph. We were on I-64 near intersection of WV, OH, and KY, near Huntington, WV.

The object was glowing, no visible means of propulsion. No markings. Two aircraft approached, one from east, other from northwest.

Son had binoculars, identified one as Navy Tomcat, other as Air Force F something or other. He had binoculars. As aircraft approached, the cigarette shaped object glowed very brightly, like a magnesium flare, then became invisible.

The aircraft broke off and returned to their bases, apparently. Dear friend, now deceased, had farm near Beattyville, KY. There is a Buddhist monastery near there, and they were apparently contacting aliens as at Mt.

Shasta. Many people congregated there to observe, her dad gave them permission to camp out. The sightings were reported to newspaper in Lexington, KY.

Dr. Kern, an astronomer at U of KY, said the UFOs were the planet Venus. No wonder people hesitate to report.

A circle light in the Sky It was just before dusk. Myself and my fieance was sitting at a pickneck table faceing I belive to be northwest and looking at the sky and enjoying the mountin view. When with no sound or vibration a circle apeard it was to low to be a plane and to big to be one either, I take it as a sighn that God is here.

But others may have me beleave that it was indeed to be a object from space. Oh yes before I forget my step daoughter and her friend who was also at my cusiens house also said that they saw it. They came from the chimney side of the house.

This has been on my mind every since that night. My email is ((e-address deleted)). I don't think I have lost my mind.

I don't realy know what it was but some people say that the bible says that we are not alone and that there are other life on other planets. What do you think am I crazy? Bright light in sky with no possiblity of stars because it was cloudy out changed colors then zoomed out of sight My mom, me and my brothers were going home after leaving the baseball field a little ways up the road from here, and I looked up and I saw a light that looked like it was above the mountain and at first I thought it was a star but then I looked out the side window up at the sky and it was cloudy so I asked my mom what that was, she didnt know so we stopped and turned off the car and just stared at it for about 5 minutes and after 1 minute it started to change colors it went from just a white light to red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and the colors just kept changing and the lights started flashing, it just set there in the same place for a long time after awhile though it flew left and then it flew right and then it went back to the same place it was at and just hovered there for a long time, then it zoomed to the right even more and just vanished. Come to find out it was below the top of the mountain and there was no possibilty that it was a airplane or a weather balloon or a house because it is to far from civilization and there is no roads that lead up on that mountain but every since that happened once in a while there has been lights shining up like spot lights when it is late at night ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the incident is approximate. bright light in sky no stars seen moved around and changed colors then suddenly vanished Saw a bright light on the mountain thought it was a star for a minute but it was too bright to be a star, started changing colors after a minute or 2, went left and then right then zipped off to the right and vanished. it couldnt have been a house because nobody lives on that mountain and it couldnt have possibly been a star because no stars were out. A soft thumping noice was heard.

Bizarre light in small town that changed colors, other strange sightings within the same week. I know that I'm reporting this over a decade later but I recently found the notebook that I had this information written in. My husband and I were driving home after going to the movies and when we were coming down the hill by the baseball field we saw a bright light in the sky.

There were no stars out, it was very cloudy. We saw a bright light to our right, above the mountain. We had our windows rolled down the air felt as if it was electrified.

We parked at the baseball field and watched the light amazed at it. The mountain it was above it is impossible to go up it without being on an 4-wheeler. We watched the light and it started to move and change colors, it changed blue, green, orange, yellow, purple and white and every color in between.

All of a sudden it zipped towards us and vanished. 2 days later I was on my way back from the hospital and I took the same road to get home and I saw a light on the mountain, and it was changing colors just like it was the few nights before. About a week later on the other mountain that intersects with the mountain in which the original light was see it looked as if there was spot lights shining up in the sky.

Nobody lives that far up that mountain at all, that mountain is classified in another county. The lights that looked like spot lights were there every night for almost a month before they completely vanished.

I would have reported this sooner if I had knon there was somewhere to report it. I was looking out my bedroom window when I saw a white light streak accross the sky. At first I though it was a meteor because I see them all the time, but I knew what it was when it blinked out and then suddenly blinked back on.

It did this three times, in perfect rythym before disappearing over the horizon. It was bright enough to be one of the jets that circles over from the Air National Guard in Martinsburg, however those jets don't go as fast as this object was going and it made absolutely no sound. It couldn't have been a meteor because, obviously, they don't blink out and then suddenly blink back on.

It was moving in an east/southeast to west/northwest direction. OK, backround on me. I'm 16 and I'm entering 11th grade.

This is NOT a hoax. I firmly believe these things are out there. I've been waiting to see one since I was about six or seven.

No kiding!.
