bright blue light that lit up sky round object jetted with a streak behind it{kind of like a bottle rocket}. was seen from Jonsonville,SC to Georgetown,SC which is appox. 1 hour from each other.

This was an amazing fireball! Location = Charleston SC Date and Time = 12/6/02 11:07pm EST approximately Fireball appeared from the W. Fireball disappeared from the E. How long, in seconds, were you able to see it in the sky? 4 to 5sec? About 90+° off horizon when it appeared.

Disappeared at the horizon. Magnitude = moon+! Color blue, & yellow orange Clear persistent streak! Duration unknown. Inaudible.

This was an amazing fireball! It lit up the night sky briefly as if it were a deep blue daylight. I first noted that the dark sky began to lighten very quickly as if someone were turning on the daylight using a switch controlled by a rheostat. Like a bolt of lightning that grew in intensity over time.

By the time I had eyes on it and realized that it wasn't lightning but a fireball, it must have been at about 80° of arc heading quickly toward the horizon from west to east. I had a fortunate vantage point as I was facing that direction precisely at the time. It was an awesome sight! Tied with first for my most impressive fireball observation in my 34 years of life.

Bright, almost glowing irridecently, tadpole shaped object (oval with a tail) travelling West to East at a high rate of speed crossed above us over S.C. Route 17.

It teetered just a bit before disappearing swiftly in the late afternoon sky. It was a sunny, clear day, with just a few cirrus clouds.

I was was approximately 5:30 pm when I noticed a ball of light slowly decending. I then called my daughter to come out and see it. After watching for a few minutes she ran in to find the camera.

By the time she came back out it had winked out. A few minutes after that two helicopters coming from Supmter (possibly the Air Force Base?) came out and started circling the area. About tem more minutes two more came out.

Approximately 7:00 pm I saw a streak of light across the shy, it happened very quickly. One of the helicopters cut across the sky towards where the streak had been. More helicopters came out after that.

I then saw the second streak around 9:00 pm and another helicopter proceeded to fly towards that streak, but both streaks were too fast. The helicopters stayed around all night.

it seemed to be like an mirror in the sky. it seemed to have an comet like shape but more rounded tail. It was the middle of the day, and the sun was to the right of it.

At first I thought it was an rainbow trying toform because of the orange color that reflected off of it, or maybe I had looked into the sun and messed up my vision, but then I saw a shadow underneath it, and It ddid not move, just hovered. I could then see that it was not a rainbow trying to form, but the sun was reflecting off of it. It was like something in stealth mode, but because of the clouds behind it, I could see it because clouds seemed to disappear behind it.

It had like a clear and orange tint from where it faced the sun.

Two points of light chased by helicopters over Lake Greenwood, South Carolina A group of approximately 10 people were on my back deck watching a football game and socializing when I started hearing a faint mechanical noise. At first I thought it was a train (there is a track approximately 1/4 mile from my house). After about thirty seconds it became clear that it was a helicopter.

I thought at the time that it was quite strange for two reasons: first, I don't remember seeing any helicopters at the lake before, and two, it was dark. A friend and I ran down my steps and into the clearing near the water. We then saw that there were two helicopters flying very low and fairly fast.

There was enough ambient light that we could clearly see the silhouettes of the helicopters. It was several seconds before I noticed that they appeared to be chasing two "points of light" that were traveling equally as low and fast, staying about 750 feet in front of the helicopters. They were moving independent of each other and the helicopters, but there was no "silhouette" of any kind associated with the two objects that I would estimate as being 3-5 feet in diameter.

My friend works as a project engineer for a contractor. I am 37, working on my pilot's license, have some college, run my families' business, own a small business, am elected to a minor local office and have a 16 year old son that lives with me.

The HugeBlur passed my field of view in no time flat, Like it was shot from a Very Big Gun. I was coming home from walmart one evening. I turned at the Unemployment Office and headed toward Hwy 72.

I crossed over the R.R. Trax and their is a good size field to the left.

I always look to see the horses, but this time, I cought something out of the corner of my left eye. I WATCHED as a Big Blur, flew right across my field of view and over the trees to my right. By the time I made it to the next clearing to my right, it was gone out of sight.

It was maybe a few hundred feet from me, It was Aprox. 500' to 1000' from the ground. It was a hand and a halftall at arms lenght.

It was as long or longer than my arm, held at arms lenght. It looked almost like, when you scramble someones face on tv, the blur you see. It was moving sooo fast! It took maybe 2to3 seconds for it to, with my head turned to the left then following it, go all the way across in front of me and over the trees to the right.

Nothing can move that fast. But that did! I did not see any shape in the blur what so ever. It looked transparent as such.

no color. Like what you would see if you hold someones very thick glasses up to the sky and look through one lens at a cloud. Just a blur.

It was small , but HOT in color and pulsed for about 4-5 burts then disappeared, reapeared once more in a new direction We were on vacation in Myrtle Beach at a very large campground. Several of us from diferent area of the country meet there a couple of times a year. It happend to be a very nice clear night.

There was over 10 adults in ages from 54-72 sitting out talking and enjoying the nice evening. All of a suden out over the ocean several miles out I saw this light. It was very HOT in color and looked as though it wa moving very fast on a horizonal line with sevral pulse bursts.

I hollard and one other person saw it. I was excited as I had never seen anything like this before. As everyone was looking (7-10 people) it happend once again and in a different direction.

Most of the people there saw it that time. Even other campers cam by and asked if we saw it. My first UFO.

I hacve travel the world, ex military and a Government employee for over 25 years. I have never seen anything like this and probably never will again.

Awakened by white light door opens memory goes blank woke/sat up 2 aliens by door paralyzed me blacked out An intensely bright white light, like a lightning flash type of light except continuous, shined in through my window and woke me up. The light then began to shine in through my door from our hallway inside, so I knew something had opened our house's front door because that was the only reason the light would be filling the inside of our house too. My door then began to open, and my memory of what happened next isn't there.

I have no memory of what happened after my door opened or what opened it. The next thing I remember is waking up in the most intense, raw terror I have ever experienced. I was in a very deep sleep, and suddenly woke up out of it instantly sort of like waking up from a nightmare, only more intense and I had not been dreaming.

I sat up immediately when awakening in fear, and had "sleep" in my eyes that I began to rub out of my eyes as I noticed two figures standing by my door. This all happened within a second or so as I was awakening. I saw immediately the two figures were inhumanly tall, a bit taller than my door frame actually, so that they would have to duck to go through it.

They were about three to six inches taller than my door frame, which is average height. I couldn't see clearly immediately as I was awakening/ sitting up which is why I was rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, and to my absolute horror I realized standing by my door face to face were two beings people call aliens or greys. I couldn't believe it because I was a fundamentalist Christian and did not believe aliens or greys were real.

The two greys seemed to have been standing in my room to make sure I didn't wake up and interrupt something else other greys were doing somewhere else in the house or outside. They seemed to have been standing at my door face to face as if they were having a conversation like people, but I observed no noise nor did their necks seem nearly thick enough to contain vocal organs of any kind. I did notice one make a gesture with its hand towards the other, which seemed to be somewhat like gestures people make to each other while talking, but I am not sure if that's what it was or not.

I do think the two greys were communicating when I woke up, but I think they were communicating without using vocal organs to make noise like we do. I think it was some other form of communication, perhaps done through technological implants, eye lenses, or something like that. I would find it hard to believe they have any kind of psychic telepathic communication abilities though like some people might start to think about when hearing the idea of non-verbal communication.

Their appearance shocked me because I would have expected greys to be grey-green or green, but they were grey-blue. They actually had a very bluish appearance to them. They had some sort of glow around them which was also blue.

The only way I know to describe it is a "light fog" that looked like "curving light." They didn't seem to have any clothes on but it might have just been hard to tell since there was some somewhat translucent light around them, and they could have been wearing something that kind of blended in with their bodies and skin. I tend to think they probably did have something on since I noticed no sexual organs or holes in general, aside from nostrils and mouths.

I saw no ears or holes similar to ears. They were hairless, or extremely close to being hairless, earless, and had very small, insignificant mouths with no lips or extremely small lips. They didn't really have noses, just kind of a very small nose-like nostril structure on their face kind of like how greys are usually depicted.

Their eyes were gigantic, and the usual almond shape. I would say their eyes were a bit bigger than dinner plates. They were solid black, although I suspect the solid black might have been some kind of advanced lens they wear over their eyes.

They had no eyelids, eyebrows, or bony indentation ridge like we have over our eyes. The eyes were rounded towards the top right corner of their heads, with the points of their eyes coming together near their nostrils. Their chins were pointed.

Their heads were about two to three times larger than our heads, but the overwhelming majority of their heads is taken up by their huge eyes I would guess because that's at least how they look externally. Their ! eyes are so big that I don't think their brains could be much bigger than our brains actually. They were disturbingly thin.

They were so thin in fact that I wondered how their tiny necks, probably about the size of a human wrist or forearm, could hold up their huge heads. I think balancing their heads probably helps their small necks to deal with the weight. Their arms and legs were also extremely thin, much thinner than human arms and legs.

Despite them being two to three feet taller than humans, I would think it's possible they probably weigh around the same as the average human because they're so much thinner than us. Their torsos were not very big either, nor very muscular. They seemed to have extremely little muscle compared to humans.

Or very little organs in general. They seemed to have a rib cage structure and backbone structure, along with hips, a pelvis, knees, etc., similar to us.

It seems like it could be somewhat different, but not dramatically different. They move in similar ways to us, like elbows and knees bend the same ways for example. The bone structure in their neck is definitely in the back just like ours.

They have a skull in their head just like us. They have shoulders and a clavicle like us. They might have 6 fingers and 6 toes, but I'm not really sure.

Their fingers were longer in proportion to their bodies than ours, so it kind of made them hard to distinguish from each other, making seeing the number of them more difficult. I'm not sure if I saw 6 fingers or just 5 long very thin fingers. Their skin seemed different than ours.

It's hard to describe exactly though. It seemed greyish-bluish in color, and perhaps to excrete more than our skin, but at the same time more "rubbery" than our skin. Their mannerisms were just like machines or robots, which was one of the most terrifying and disturbing aspects about them and the experience.

I would expect about as much mercy, feeling, caring, or compassion from them as I would from a machine; none. However, they also have an extreme intelligence that made me feel like a bug around a human, which makes me think that while they may not have emotion like we do, they're probably likely to be smart enough to make the right decisions. They actually turned and walked single file one behind the other just to walk over to me when I woke and sat up in my bed.

As soon as I sat up in my bed they somehow instantly paralyzed me, which was insanely and indescribably terrifying. It was like they were jamming my nervous system remotely by will somehow, which is why I think they have technological implants inside their nervous system or brain, or something like that. I tried with all my might to scream for help, but my voice was paralyzed too.

It felt like my throat was so dry that I couldn't make any noise. I also tried as hard as I could to move my legs and arms, but the best I could do was get some of my fingertips to barely drag across my bed sheets. a feeling I will never forget.

Since I couldn't move or scream, when the one in front got close enough to me to reach towards me, I blacked out. I don't know if it made me black out or if I passed out from terror. That was all I remembered from the experience, just the beginning with my door opening, and waking up after they had placed me back in my bed, which was an accident, showing they aren't perfect any more than humans are.

I also have a strong feeling that they messed up something and hurt me during the time I can't remember, which caused me to have the intense terror that woke me back up. They also messed up by not erasing my memory of waking up before they left which makes me think they had taken me somewhere else, and could only do that where ever they had taken me. But they probably should have done that again to erase my memory of seeing them, yet they didn't showing they do make mistakes and screw up.

I was only 13 years old when this happened, and I was so traumatized from the experience that I had to sleep with a glass of water by my bed and my light on for at least several months afterwards. The trauma and terror of the experience is truly indescribable because nothing else in this world can produce the same kind of trauma and terror. It isn't just like you're seeing a strange looking person or animal, it's like you're in the presence of something far more powerful than yourself.

Even though the two greys didn't really do much of anything during what I can actually remember, I could sense their extreme power and intelligence for some reason. I'm unsure if they're hostile or friendly or neutral, but I tend to think they're probably neutral towards people, and probably just need something from us that we don't understand right now. They probably have no interest in disclosing their presence to us, and even if they did they're beyond our level right now so we wouldn't really be able to fully grasp them yet anyway.

There wouldn't be much accomplished by them disclosing themselves to us except maybe some people would begin idolizing, obsessing over, worshiping, or studying them. And none of that would actually accomplish much because an ant might see a human, but it can never hope to understand a human really, at least with the way ants currently are.

Over about a 15-minute period, I saw either 6 or 7 bright white, rice-shaped objects moving steadily across the sky. At about 6:45 in the evening (it was still light out), I saw two rice-shaped white objects in the sky. They were moving parallel to one other, somewhat slowly, but steadily.

A minute or so after they disappeared from sight, I saw another similar object moving in approximately the same direction. Shortly after that one disappeared, I saw another one moving in the opposite direction (the only one moving in that direction). I saw a total of either six or seven objects, over about a fifteen minute period.

They did not move in an unusual way, they just looked different from anything I have seen. At one point during my "sighting", (I would guess the third or fourth object that I saw) the object appeared very bright, or reflective. That brightness/reflectiveness lasted a few seconds.

And also, during this (approximate) fifteen minute time interval, I saw a military aircraft (dark gray in color) in the same general area of the sky in which these other objects were appearing. A military maneuver of some kind?????? I am interested to know what these things were. ((NUFORC Note: We spoke to this witness as length, and we found her to be exceptionally credible.

We do not know what it was she witnessed. We know that the beach at Hilton Head, SC, has a high frequency of osprey birds ("fish eagles,") but we seriously doubt whether the witness would have mistaken these birds for something other than what they are. PD)).

Strange red lights over the ocean - Isle of Palms, South Carolina Five of us, on vacation, decided to go for a walk on the beach at approximately 10:30 p.m. All of a sudden a red light appeared in the sky, approximately 35 degrees in the air, over the ocean.

It looked like the headlight of an airplane, large and bright. Quickly though, we realized the light was not moving and looked peculiar. It was red and glowing.

Within about 5 seconds another red light appeared to its right. This light was far away, perhaps 500 yards (just guessing here). Suddently four or five more lights turned on sequentially between the two outside lights.

All the lights together seemed to make a formation. I was looking through my binoculars and thought I could makeout the shape of an aircraft. But it was hard to tell for sure if it was one aircraft, or two, or whatever.

If it was one aircraft, it would be the largest aircraft I have ever seen! The lights did not appear to move at all and there was no sound. Then, suddenly, and all at once, the lights blinked off. Gone.

The was a very real and unusual sighting, leaving all of us scratching our heads.

One orange light split into two lights over the ocean . The observers are 2 female ages, 22 and 24. We were sitting on the beach looking over the ocean.

Somewhere between 2-4 miles out over the ocean at about low cloud level; we saw a light. The light started as one point in the sky and immediately split into two lights. They went horizontally away from eachother.

The light that went to the right faded first. Immediately after the light to the left faded in the same fashion. The lights that we saw were an orange color.

The evening of 08/17/02 around 22:00 while looking out over the ocean in Myrtle Beach,SC (3 people) we saw bright red and orange lumincent circular lights in the southeast direction. They faded within 3-5 seconds and were directly followed by white/blue/silver lights that appeared to rotate around the first light. This kept repeating for 2-2.

5 hrs. ((NUFORC Note: We have no idea what the correct date of the alleged sighting is. The witness states above that it was on August 17, but then enters a date of August 16.

The lights sound like they might have been advertising lights. PD)).

Bright object with an orange tint hovered for 45 minutes. I went outside my front door and noticed a brightly lit object with somewhat of an orange tint. The object remained stationary for several minutes and then started moving erratically for a few seconds, then perfectly still again.

It repeated this behavior over and over for about 45 minutes, each time it moved it got farther away until we could no longer see it. The erratic movement included quick 90 degree turns, circular patterns and side to side patterns. It moved VERY fast for being as far off as it was (the exact distance I can't be sure of).

I am no expert, but it does not take 45 minutes for a plane to pass overhead, and a blimp does not move quickly in any direction. I also had the impression that it was quite large. My wife and her mother also witnessed the object.

The object moved off toward Aiken County. ((NUFORC Note: We suspect the witness, who remains anonymous, implies an evening sighting. We have amended the time to 22:35 hrs.

I believe the witness later contacted us later to report that the object probably was a blimp, but I cannot find the message. PD)).

Yellow balls staying stationery in linear formation, then disappearing. Two circular yellow lights appeared in northeastern sky over ocean. They moved apart, then disappeared.

They were higher than the moon, which was orange and large. They were bigger than stars. A few minutes later, three round circles with a fourth circle above on the left side, glowed in a stationary position, then disappeared.

A short time after that, a group in two beside each other, two above that and three above that, all in linear positions, stayed stationery for a few moments, then disappeared. All these events were witnessed by four adults. We were on a deck looking at the sea.

Looked up on Google who to report to and called you and we were told to go online and report incident. Wondering if anyone else saw this. Very dominant and easy to see yet we don't know what it was.

UFO visits small town USA. This object came over us twice, the first time i heard it, but didnt look my 11 year old son seen it out his window and ran to tell us but it was gone, a few minutes later it came over again and all 5 of us went out to see it, it was triangle shaped with lights like a plane, it was moving slow and low and rather quietly, my son was on the phone with a friend that lives in the direction it was moving and he went outside and seen it also, it looked kinda like a steath fighter but it was moving too low and too slow so we dont have a clue what it was.

Watch what in the sky's you mite be surprised & if the Gov't sayes your crazy well look at them. we were out fishing when we saw a bright yellow light . It was a Sphere or as some would say it was round.

It was over the water an there is know other light a round this place an the moon was NOT OUT'that night.One thing strange about this thing ,was it came out really bright then it went straight up an it was gone.But in the last 4.

Well we walked out own the back porch to relax a little. Outside there were thunder storms in the area and also heat lighting. I look up at the sky every night but own this night there was much clouds and heat lighting.

But to my north west I could see a bright light redish in color almost like the color red star in orion. I observed it for a while thinking it maybe it was a plane but after a while I noticed no movement I could see local aircraft moveing in and out of cloud cover but to the naked eye this object seem not to move I then ask for some binoculars to watch the object it seem to move very fast up and down really fast. Leaveing light trails behind it my girlfriend claims that the object returns every summer I know what I saw.

It was indeed real.It had to have been A UFO.
