A powerfull light in the sky. I was walking outside my house in Golfview Lane, Summerville. Saw a very brilliant light much more brillant than the planet Venus.
I stop and remain watching the light in the clear sky. Suddenly the light dissapears for a couple of seconds, reappearing two or three seconds later in the same place place in the sky (NW). Again after a few seconds the light is gone.
The object was always in the same place. No movement, no noise.

3 Lights Appear in Sky over Florence I was driving home from work and as I rounded a curve I noticed a light above the tree line that had a slightly orange hue to it. At first I thought it was an airplane turning for approach as the light didnt appear to be moving. As I continued to watch, suddenly another light of the same color/brightness appeared to move out from inside the first light and slightly down and to the left.
A second later an additional light appeared and moved down and to the right making a distinct triangular shape. There was still no apparent movement of the objects through the sky. (by this time I had slowed my vehicle into the median to watch) After sitting in the sky for about 5 seconds in this formation, all three lights faded out together just like a light bulb being turned off.
I frequently observe meteors from time to time at night and these lights displayed characteristics that were unlike any of the many meteors I have ever witnessed. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD)).

Strange lights My husband and I were driving down Homlestown Rd toward Hwy,707 and looked up in the sky (at tree level) and seen 3 bright lights. First one came on, then the next, and by the time the third light came on the last light had gone out and the first two staid on the the middle one faded out and the first one faded out. My husband said he thought they were triagler shaped.
We stopped on the side of the road and watched this happened (having seen it before) they was no noise. This is very odd, as we saw the same thing last year in Myrtle Beach, there is nothing around this area the lights appear in just field. 3 orange lights or orbs over the atlantic ocean 6pm 12/05/06 north myrtle beach sc 23rd ave. south At about 6pm on Tuesday 12/05/06, my wife and i were facing east on 23rd Ave. South in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
Over the Atlantic ocean there were 3 orange round lights. They seemed to hover with very little movement. They were initially arranged in a triangle shape with the 3 lights being the points.
The light to the right and on top seemed to go to the right and circle around the other two. This one light was moving at a fairly rapid speed. Then as it one circled around to the left, it was as if all 3 sped out to sea or just disappeared.
We scanned the sky to see if they had relocated or could find them elsewhere, but did not see any more. ((NUFORC Note: We spoke with this witness, and he sounded quite sincere and sober-minded to us. PD)).

A ball of white light hovered in the afternoon sky, vanishing and reappearing 3 times, before finally vanishing for good. I am an undergraduate college student. I was going for a walk around my neighborhood today, and as I was revelling at the beautiful clear blue sky, I noticed an object appear in the distance.
I gazed at the object in the direction of north at roughly a 60 degree angle. The object appeared to be a white circular mass, perhaps a white ball of light, and it was hovering in the clear sky. It moved very slowly for about 2 minutes, and then it vanished for about ten seconds, then appeared again.
Over the course of the next two minutes, the object vanished and reappeared 2 more times before vanishing for good. After approximately 4 minutes of hovering, the object was out of my sight.

I can't really explain it good enough, but what I saw was just odd. It was around 2 in the morning and I was doing some work on the computer.I got chills down my spine and something told me to look out my window.
I jumped on my bed and opened the shades, when I looked out, not two seconds later this bright green light from way up in the sky fell down to somewhere I couldn't see. I knew it wasn't some falling star or something like that because it was just.too weird.
You know where you just know what you're seeing is something you just can't explain for the life of you. Yeah.Anyways, I've seen a similar thing in New Jersey with my cousin.
only the thing we saw was red and it didn't fall. But it's always a light. Sometimes the watches act funny too.
My friends and I see odd things a lot.So I'll be reporting back here when the next event occurs. ((NUFORC Note: Student report.

I saw glowing lights over the Atlantic for one hour from the 19th floor . My wife and I spotted lights over the Atlantic while sitting on the 19th floor of a highrise. They appeared about 8-10 times over the period of the hour we sat out.
The glowing lights were about 1/3 the size of a moon, but possible haze could have magnified them. They would appear for 3-7 secs. , then dissappear.
At times three were in a line while another was on the horizon. Most of the sightings were about at 40 degrees. I asked other hotel guests and even asked a policeman, but no one heard anything or witnessed them.

We were on a golfing weekend (7 of us) in the Myrtle Beach area. On Sunday, August 13, 2006, we were playing our last round at the Witch course on Highway 544, northwest of Socastee, S.C.
Just before teeing off on one of the holes, me and two other people playing in our group spotted a shiny spherical object between us and the clouds. Upon observing the object, we saw that it would reflect light, then it would not.seemingly in a pattern.
The object was on a steady, but not noticeab;e fast track across the sky. We did not hear a noise emmiting from the object. We were kind of in a hurry because there were people playing behind us, so we did not keep looking at it for a long period, but we did get a picture.
I downloaded the picture from the camera and found the object in the picture. It was not reflecting light when the picture was snapped, but it is visible in the picture. I brought the photo into photoshop, and increased the color saturation, and the object really stands out!! I am attaching the photos.
If you look at the photo, you can see a faint "aura" around it like in some other UFO photos I've seen.it also appears to be perfectly spherical.

Object stood still in Charleston sky The dark grey-black object high in the NW sky stood still; it was bell or dome-shaped. A friend and I were lounging in my pool, just chit-chating and I was looking up and began to focus on what I thought was a bird. Then I realized the bird wasn't moving; I stood up and really began looking at this thing which looked like a dot in the sky.
My friend couldn't see it at first, but when she focused in at exactly where I told her to look, she said, "yes, yes, ooohhhh, that's weird, what is it?" It wasn't until I got the binoculars that we could see that it was sort of dome or bell-shaped. It was really far away and we couldn't make out an details. We watched it for about a half an hour, then the night sky faded it out.
Wonder if anyone else in the area saw it.

Red Flashing Lights Over the Atlantic It was about 10:00 PM on tuesday august 29, my elderly mother had told me to come outside on the porch, and to look out above the ocean, she had told me that she had seen an orange-red lighted ball flash on for about two seconds then flash off almost as if it were a rotating beacon on a plane. She said she had seen the flashes of light the night before but did not want to tell me, because I might think she was insane. so i stood out looking over the ocean for about 10-15 min.
then i saw what apeared to be a redish flash of light come on then go off within a second or so, i at first thought it was a plane, then i saw the same light apeare a little bit to the left of the last light then fade out now i thought it was just a plane moving to the north, but within a few minutes i saw the same light again in the exact same spot as the first light to the south.(let me add that the ball of lights themselfs do not move) next i saw someting that really freeked me out, the light to the north lit back up with three other lights almost apearing out of eachother. then i thought how the hell can a plane move from the south to the north then back to the south and then back to the north giving birth to two other objects all within a few minutes.
this sighting of either a ufo or a plane realy scared me and my mother. me and my family have been visiting myrtle beach for years and now own a house on the beach an we both have never seen anything quite like this, and by reading other reports of these sightings in the area we would love to know what caused these flashes of lights over the ocean? we have asked family members that have spent their lives in the airforce and do not know of any aircraft that can emite these types of lights. Please, any type of explination would be helpful.

Amber lights over Myrtle Beach South Carolina On the evening of the 26th of july 2006 my family and I saw something we could not explain. We were on the balcony of our hotel facing the ocean and saw 3 amber colored lights hovering out in front of us probably a few miles out. At first we thought it was the lights of a plane that was flying directly at us.
This obviously was not the case when the light on the right split into 2 lights. This was not a flare either because the lights were not falling, they were stationary. This got my attention! I knew then that this was not our technology.
After a few minutes passed the lights just disappeared. At this point we all were just in astonishment that we just witnessed this. A few minutes later the 4 lights reappeared in a different location on the horizion.
It seemed like they traveled miles and miles in only a minute. The lights disappeared and reappeared again in a different location. This happened 4 or 5 more times in the next 60 minutes or so.
During this t! ime the sun had set and it was dark outside. My cousin and I went down to the ocean and we sit on the sand and just watched. As I looked up at the stars I saw around 20 white lights in some kind of formation traveling together and leaving together.
That is what happened to us so I thought I would share that. That day changed my whole perspective on this ufo phenomenon. Thanks for letting me share.

Fading lights over Myrtle Beach, SC. I was driving home on highway 31, when I saw a circular light fade in on the night sky. At first I thought it to be some sort of star, but as it started to fade away (there was no horizontal or vertical movement just fading) another object started to fade in to its right.
Then that faded and at the same time, another object was fading in downward to its right. Then that faded, as it faded, two lights faded in next to it. Once those lights faded there was nothing else.
A few days ago I had seen footage a man took of the pheonix lights three hours before they showed up to most people, and these UFOs or this UFO took the same fading in and out pattern as that but it was the opposite direction of fading. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the incident is approximate. PD)).

strange lights off south carolina coast We were on the balcony of condo vacation rental and my dad (68 years) said "I wonder what those lights are". We all watched for a good half hour as they would appear and disappear, as well as light in a succession of bright orange lights a couple of times. There were four adults witnessing with no explanation.
Checked out local news for other reports but did not find any.

7 strainge lights above the ocean There where 7 round lights that came on one by one in a straight line. Then they started to go out one by one in sequence. This took place on a moonit night out above the ocean.
I would say they where several miles away. This happened about 3 times over the course of and hour, with the last time only one light appearing.

Circle Lights Over the Ocean from Beaufort, South Carolina It was about 11 p.m. and there were about 100 people (scattered) on the beach facing south east.
It was a very clear night and many stars were present. A bright, white light appeared. Then a second, right next to the first.
Then a third next to the second. Then a fourth next to the third, and then a fifth next to the fourth. There were five aligned circles of light, with the one on the far left being the biggest.
Then, one by one, starting from the right, they "extinguished" or disappeared. This was out over the ocean, no more than a mile, and above the ocean as well.

Bright orange blinking lights over the Atlantic ocean off of the coast of South Carolina. Bright orange triangular shaped-lights out over the Atlantic Ocean way out to sea. They would blink, separate and seem to break into a pattern - sometimes we would see only 2 - another time we counted up to nine.
They would then disappear after about 4 to 5 seconds. This happened 4 times over the span of about a half hour. Each time they seemed to get brighter.
Approximately 30 minutes later, we saw about 4-5 blinking white lights flying back and forth across the sky very eqi-distant and at a high speed. They went back and forth across the sky at least twice. Once these much smaller white, blinking lights appeared, the orange lights did not reappear.
The observers included a CPA, engineer, nurse, a few retired individuals and several children from 9 to 14 years old. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD)).

Sporadic, orange lights, unlike any common aircraft appear over the ocean After dinner with my extended family, two friends and I carried folding chairs out onto the beach adjacent to our house. This was around 10:15 p.m.
and we set the chairs up to face out over the ocean to get a good view of the moon rising. We sat there for several minutes observing the sky as it was a clear, cloudless night. We carried on a casual conversation as we tried to identify constellations and planets, and two of us even caught a shooting star.
Then, suddenly, around 10:30, I pointed up at the sky because a bright orange light had just appeared. It was stationary for probably 5 seconds and then, almost like a firework, six more (though i'm not sure it was exactly six) orange lights emerged from the first light. In fact, my first reaction was that it was a firework.
However, the lights did not descend, but instead remained in a "V-like" formation for a few additional seconds. My friends and I immediately discussed whether it could be some strange firework, but came to the conclusion that it could not be for three reasons: 1) The small number of lights and their duration were unlike any firework we had ever seen; 2) There was a firework show going on a few miles up the beach, and it was neither as bright nor did the tallest firework reach a quarter of the height of the orange lights; and 3) The lights were directly over the ocean and would have had to been fired from the water. It was then suggested that it was an airplane, but we didn't think it could be that.
Firstly, it didn't move or act like an airplane; the sudden movements and sudden appearance of lights were unlike any airplane I have seen before. And secondly, airplanes have red, green, and white lights while this aircraft had a single, bright orange light. After several minutes of discussion, some of the lights suddenly appeared again, this time all at once and slightly south of their original position.
It did not appear, however, that the lights were all on the same shit as they seemed to move independantly, sometimes blinking and a few of them oscillating a bit. The final time we saw them was several more minutes later, much further down the beach. They behaved in the same way, but appeared to have picked up speed.
They were only visible for a few seconds, and that was the last we saw of them. The event has perplexed me as that same night I witnessed a shooting star, fireworks, a definite plane, and what we thought might even be a satelite- yet this was something completely different than any of those or anything I have ever seen. Perhaps they were just fighter jets, but it didn't seem like it to me.
The unusual lights and the sporadic appearances have left me wondering what the source of these lights might have been. After this, the moon had risen and my friends didn't share the same interest in the lights as I did and do, so we left the beach, but since that point i have been looking for some explanation.

Radial light seen as two object separate in night sky About a year ago I was visiting with my neighbor at the time standing in the yard talking when we noticed what I thought up until today really was two airplanes converging. They came together for a while and then we saw a burst of light going our into a radial pattern that almost resembled a large flash and the expected burst of a firework shot. This had to be several miles away and up and the burst would have to be fairly large.
After the burst of light went out in the almost perfect symmetrical pattern, the two lights separated and moved away from each other until they were out of site. We both wondered what in the world it could be and I surmised that it must have been a jet doing a mid-air refuel and maybe the fuel upon separation caused the light. I had not really thought about it in a while until watching a show this evening reminded me of the event.
The radial burst was so vivid that it makes me wonder what it was. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD)).

I saw a bright oval object in the skies over Myrtle Beach SC. I could not believe what I was seeing. I believe they knew we were looking by the way they moved in the sky.
It would disapear then reappear in a different spot. Then it pulsed and disapeared. It reappeared one more time in a due westerly direction.
The object was a bright yellow, pulsating to a blinding yellow before disapearing for good. This experience lasted for approxamately 10 to 15 seconds. I was not alone.
