Silver ball hovering over street/ shot up I was taking my trash out to the curb this morning. I rolled the can to the curb and started to turn around, when something caught my eye at the top of our street about 50-75 feet away. The object was a small silver ball about the size of a mini basket ball.

It appeared to be hovering about 1 to 2 feet off the ground from the angle I was looking at it. The first thing that came to mind was that I was seeing stuff. As I had just woke up for work about 45 min ago.

I just sat there looking at it for about 30-40 seconds or so trying to refocus on it thinking that my eyes were playing tricks on me. Soon I thought what the hell is that, and started walking up the street. As I was walking up the street I thought that it could be a small Mylar balloon.

But then I thought that a balloon would be moving and this thing was sitting still. As I got about 30 or so feet from it. It shot strait up so fast that it looked like it was fired out of a gun.

It went out of sight with in 1-2 seconds. It never made any noise, and had no lights; it was just a metallic ball. It really kind a freaked me out.

This is the first time that I have ever seen something that I could not explain. I am still kind of confused. I am dead set that my eyes were not playing tricks on me.

I was telling one of my employees about this morning and he said that I should report it. I had no idea who I should report it to. So after a Google search I found this site.

However this thing was not a flying saucer, so I am not sure that it should be here or not.

triangle craft well my friend and i were at a party and we were stading on the back deck of the house i looked and saw what looked like three lights but the didnt go further or closer apart they were very extremely far away like they could have been in another state recently i have been getting into ufo and the paranormal and i have been seeing that people have sighted the same thing i did a number of times and it was the exact same thing ((NUFORC Note: Source of report indicates that the date of the incident is approximate. Group of very dim lites-moving North to South NO shape was defined!!! 0 0 0 0 Stacked like this, moving North to South 0 0 0 0 I enjoy star gazing,on the nite of Oct.13 at approx. 21:15 while looking at the Andromeda area- M-31 in particular, I had this stack of very dim,almost yellowish lites come into my 7-50 binoculars field! This was not any of the following: aircraft,balloon-it was 32degrees at time and dark-blimp-helicopter-these objects made no sound whatsoever!But they were moving quite fast from North to South,I thought for a second that they might be geese,stopped tracking for a second,but they left my field of view to fast to be geese!!.

White light flies over Omaha Monday (9/04/06) evening I had stepped into my brothers backyard with his 18 month old daughter in my arms. It was dark and the moon was high and to the left as I faced south. As soon as I stepped out of the house, the first thing I saw was not the moon, but a very bright, fast moving, white light in the sky.

It was as bright as the moon and at first I thought it was the police helicopter with it's searchlight on. It took only seconds for me to realize that was not what I was seeing. My niece, whom I do not count as a witness due to her age, could not stop pointing at it.

Once I realized this was no ordinary craft, I yelled in the house for my brother to come out and see it. In doing so, I alerted the entire house. In all, 4 adults, an eleven year old, and my 18 month old niece all saw the phenomena.

The light moved across the sky from west to east. It moved in a fairly quick, yet consistent speed. It only varied course slightly when it appeared to be manuevering to it's left and right.

In all, the light was visible for about 1 minute. At it's end, it disolved into the distance. We then stayed outside for about half an hour to "star gaze".

In that half an hour we saw several commercial flights at various elevations, a satellite in orbit, and the police helicopter did fly over (without searchlight)and was obvious to us that if the helicopter did fly over we would have definately heard it. Ruling those things out, we came to two possibile conclussions; 1 )it was an outer worldly craft, 2) being that we live in Omaha, we are accustomed to seeing craft from the S.A.

C. airforce base (B-2 Steaths, fighter jets, etc.).

However, this craft made no banking turn to where the base would be located and seemed to dissapear once it passed the moon. We are fairly certain that this was no government aircraft and are just curious to see if you have heard of any similar reportings in this area. This was my second personal encounter, the first took place in 1990 and was no where near as i! mpressive.

I tracked a brilliant orange pulsating light moving slowly and silently for a minute, then saw it disappear. Leaving the Gere Public Library at 8:35 pm, I saw what seemed at first to be a brilliant orange star in the lower eastern sky. At that time, only the moon and a few of the brightest stars were visible (the moon was in the western sky opposite from this anomalous light).

What caught my eye at first was the unusual orange tint, and as I trained my eyes on it, I saw it was moving slowly westward in my general direction. I wondered whether it could be a plane on a landing approach, but there was no noise and instead of having blinking navigational lights, the light intensity fluctuated (growing gradually brighter and then gradually dimmer every second or two). I continued to watch this pulsating orange light for about a minute, then it suddenly dimmed and disappeared completely.

That struck me as very odd, since the sky was without a cloud that evening. I searched that area of the sky for another couple of minutes but the object didn't re-appear. Several other people were nearby, but apparently I was the only one there who noticed this anomolous light.

As the light periodically brightened, it would become several times brighter than any star or planet in the sky at that time, including Sirius and Venus, which were also visible during this sighting. I am a research scientist and medical writer (50 years of age). I've been skeptical of UFOs most of my life.

This is the first time that I've ever seen an unidentied flying object.

10:05p.m.in driveway witnessed strobing red/white lights moving from n.

w to east in manner unlike no aircraft in driveway just got off phone and from the north west and 1/4 distance up from horizon white and red lights caught my eye(popping like camera strobes)moving eastward ,was unlike aircraft lights that move in steady flashing fixed location on an airplane,these were brighter, faster,and jumping around going forward then back at distances and speed unlike any airplane as it moved eastward trees blocked view so i ran inside house ,yelled to mom to follow and went to are deck which is on roof ,was again i was able to view these lights along with mom,as they traveled east they were getting dimmer and dimmer as if they were climbing upwards then faded from sight a little over 1/2 across sky.are house is located in north omaha on hill top over looking missiouri river with epply air field in sight,i'm very familar with aircraft lights at night due to the flight pattern,these were not normal.called center right away and was directed to call faa they told me no millitary or comm.

Western Nebraska white-blue round light We noticed a white, round light with a blueish outerglow in the Northeast sky at approx. 2 o'clock on a North arrow. It lasted for a duration of 1½ - 2½ minutes descending appoximately 50 degrees in the sky.

The light dimmed after descending 40 degrees then brightened briefly and then dimmmed out completely. The line of sight was unobstructed by any trees or clouds in the sky. There was a tree to the left of the object that we were able to tract how far the light was descending.

There was no sound. The light was 10 times bigger than any other star in the sky. We were standing underneath a street light and quite shocked when we noticed the unusual behavior of the light.

We then blocked the street light out of our vision with our hands and noticed the other stars in the sky. It was not a plane or satellite as first two osbervers have seen both on numerous occassions in the night sky. The third and fourth observers only viewed the light for the last 20-30 seconds to watch it descend, dim and disappear.

Backgrounds: 1st observer: Graphic artist, very detail oriented, raised with a powerful telescope and a knowledge of astronomy. Has witnessed UFOs in the Sandhills of Nebraska on a few occassions. College courses included Astronomy and flight dynamics.

2nd observer: Graphic artist, very detail oriented, took astronomy in high school, have never witnessed a UFO before 3rd & 4th observer: Highschool students, have never witnessed a UFO before.

Daytime sighting of large, unmoving, silent sphere that blended with sky & clouds near Lincoln Nebraska in August, 2006 I was driving east on the 2 mile road linking Malcolm to Highway 34 (heading toward Lincoln) at about 4 pm. I looked up and saw a HUGE sphere in the sky. It was perfectly still, and made no sound.

I only looked up because of some birds--I wouldn't have noticed it otherwise--it blended almost completely in with the surrounding sky and clouds, but you could see the edges of it fairly clearly when you were looking straight at it. It wasn't reflective at all, and I didn't see lights. It was weird--I remember thinking it was almost like there was some kind of computer generated surface on the object that matched it exactly to the color of the sky and cloud cover, but you could see that the clouds didn't match up on the edges with the sky, and that they were moving a little differently than the real clouds.

I pulled my car over and got out to watch it for at least 15 minutes. It didn't move. I had my young children in the car with me--they had an after sch! ool appointment, so I had to continue on into Lincoln.

For the record, I know what a weather balloon looks like, and this was way too big and the wrong color to be a weather balloon. I have no idea what it was, or how much longer it was there. I should add that this was within 5 miles of the Nebraska Air National Guard base, within 45 miles of Offutt Airforce base in Omaha.

Shape-Changing Aircraft I live in Bellevue, Nebraska, a town not far from the city of Omaha. In the center of the town is Offut Air Force Base, so perhaps the crafts that I have been seeing are somehow military-related. Lately, me and several people I know have been seeing strange lights in the sky.

The first occurence happened on probably about the tenth of august. My friend was in a park with his girlfriend, and they were staring at the sky, looking at stars that were out. Suddenly, their attention was drawn to a bright light that was hovering in the sky.

It seemed to dance around in the sky for a few minutes. My friend then noticed several aircraft approaching the light. The light then took off directly into the sky and dissappeared from sight.

The aircraft that had chased the light away then flew a grid in the sky and flew off out of sight. Since this date, Me, my girlfriend, the two people stated above, and two of my other friends have seen strange shape-changing craft in the sky, all sightings occured on the same road, Harlan Lewis road, known as Base Lake road to the locals. The first occurence I witnessed was on about the 18th of august.

Me and my girlfriend were driving home and making a turn onto Harlan Lewis Road. We saw a helicopter approaching in the distance. As we drew closer to the helicopter, we thought it was changing shape.

We were soon driving under this aircraft, which now resembled an X with several flashing lights on it. It stayed as this shape only while directly above us, then changed into the shape of an Airplane, and it changed the pattern of its flashing lights. The second occurence what on the 23rd of august, when me, my girlfriend, and two of my other friends were driving down Harlan Lewis Road.

One of my friends pointed out a helicopter that was flying not too far from us. It then flew behind some trees, out of view, and when it emerged from the other side of the trees, it had changed into the shape of an airplane, and also changed its light pattern and color. The other friend in the car didnt pay any attention to the sky during this, so he never saw anything.

But everyone who did see it was 100% convinced that the aircraft changed shape. Also, all of the described objects above made no sound at all, as a plane or helicopter would.

Bright, bluish-white glowing oval shoots rapidly and silently across the night sky The strange coincidences surrounding this sighting necessitate a rather long report. I have never before seen a ufo, and have always been skeptical of them, having felt that there must be mainly psychological forces involved in such experiences, rather than technological ones. I recently moved back to Lincoln, and have been staying with my parents while looking for a place of my own.

Some weeks ago I had a dream in which an otherworldly craft flew over the house while I was alone on the front porch. In the dream I called my mother out to witness the thing with me so that at least someone would believe what I had seen. Then, several nights before the sighting described below, I stumbled upon a video of a 2001 press conference given at the National Press Club in Washington, DC by Dr.

Greer and The Disclosure Project, and was stunned by the information presented there by him and his 21 government, military, intelligence community, and corporate witnesses. This testimony shattered my preconceived notions about ufos--indeed my entire worldview--and forced me to admit that I likely have been a victim of disinformation my entire life. I was still reeling from what I had learned from this video, and was weighing telling my parents about it as we sat on their front porch on the night of July 21, when my father said "there's a ufo.

" He is a level-headed retired journalist who coincidentally spent years as a member of the National Press Club working as an award-winning White House Press Photographer under the Nixon administration. I saw that he was joking about an airplane flying nearby, but his comment gave me the opportunity to broach the subject of The Disclosure Project press conference and tell the two of them that I thought it likely that we world citizens had been lied to for generations about the reality of extraterrestrial visitation. It was a difficult thing for me to do, as I am a rational person and was risking my credibility, but I feel that this is supremely important information that everyone needs to hear.

The three of us had an interesting conversation in which my parents expressed their own doubt about the official ufo story, and generally we all just soaked up this astounding revelation without waxing overly dramatic about it. Some time later my mother went up to bed and my father and I stayed up talking. Just after 11 pm, as if it had been summoned as verification of my earlier assertions, a glowing, bluish-white object about the apparent size of a pea held at arm's length, brighter than anything else in the sky, appeared about 20 degrees above the horizon (below the clouds) almost due south of us, glowing brightly and streaking rapidly westward at a 30 degree downward angle.

I said "do you see that?" and my father replied "I'm looking at it" in a stupefied tone. The object (I call it an object rather than a light because it was a sharply-defined ovoid shape with no flames, rays, or tail) shot in a straight line toward the horizon and disappeared behind the buildings a few hundred feet south of us, absolutely soundlessly. It seemed to be about a half-mile or so distant, though it was difficult to tell with certainty.

There was no explosion or flash of light at the time the object should have hit the ground, had it been a meteor, comet, or other sort of space debris. I asked my dad if we shouldn't call the local papers and tv stations the next day to see if anyone had reported anything. The veteran journalist replied "why would we do that? They wouldn't tell us anything we don't already know.

" A man of few words, he paused for a second or two and then said "that was what you would call 'a classic ufo'." He later admitted he'd never seen anything like it before. The next day he joked, "the ufo people were listening to our conversation," with his typical dry humor, but who knows--is that so unlikely? Just two or three minutes after the sighting I took out my PDA and recorded detailed notes, which formed the basis of this report.

oval shape, bright blue in color with a flashing white light on one end only and silent, able to hover. Coming along side of hwy 20 between Carroll Nebraska and Osmond ne, about 1:30am, there were 2 of us in our pickup driving west towards Osmand when we noticed a blue light (not thinking anything of it,)when within seconds it was next to us hovering above the tops of the corn. It,the craft, stayed with us observing us as we observed it for about 3 minutes then it scared a deer from the corn rows before going on behind us once again as a small blue light.

We were going 60-65mph at the time and it stayed with us. The craft made no noise, was oval in shape, what i call bright pepsi can blue in color and had a white flashing light on one end. I was continually able to watch it and was not afraid of it at all! In fact I was facinated with it!.

VERY similar observation as Standing Bear Park from March 4th The previous Nebraska entry for March 4th.although written rather differently than I would have.matches ours almost exactly.

We could see ours with the naked eye however. They were VERY high altitude, in space it seemed to us. A "mother ship", with smaller, faster ones doing maneuvers around "it".

Light in the sky south of offutt AFB I saw what looked like a star in the sky just south of offutt AFB. It was very high in the sky. It started to move across the sky toward the south then turned to the east, then turned again to the north.

then took off so fast that it appeared to vanish. A couple of minutes later two Airplanes (jets) flew past at a very fast rate. Over the next hour I saw at least 6 planes circling the sky.

Oddly enough there was a local sighting a day or two earlier and the airbase did say they were doing some testing. But i do happen to Know from friends still in the airforce that the bases runway is suppose to be shut down for repair. All aircraft are suppose to be flying out of lincoln.

Bright light that changed in intensity and emitted flare-like objects as it traveled towards me. Observed a bright light in the sky while taking my dog out just before bed. The light was moving slowly and appeared to be an airplane, but what caught my attention was the way it was changing in intensity, not blinking like the normal airplane light does.

As it came nearer, it suddenly shot out to the rear what appeared to be a flare (it reminded me of a fighter jet spitting out chalf to defend against a heat seaking missile). It did that three times as it approached, and then when it got directly over my house, the light split in two with the appearance of flares, and then was gone. I realize that this could have possibly been a meteor, but it appeared to be moving to low and slow for a meteor, and the flares coming off traveled in the opposite direction and then dropped down before flaming out.

If it was a meteor, wouldn't all the pieces from the fragmentation keep traveling in the same direction as the main body?.

triangular-shaped, low-flying aircraft hovering over Omaha city street. Triangular shaped object with white lights around the perimeter hovering over North 52nd Street about 16 blocks north of Dodge Street. Driver ahead of my daughter (who reported the sighting) stopped the car and stuck his/her head out the window to watch.

Troubles With Unexplained Laser Beams My wife and I have been seeing during the day a few strange oval shaped type craft above our home, they appear to be using the Sun as a form of absorption if that makes any sense whatsoever. We have called numerous individuals as well as several agencies without any help in return. During the day they appear on film and we have them recorded, yet to the plain ordinary eye they are not visible.

When my wife and I first seen them we were filming our 6 year old son flying his kite when we first noticed them. The same evening when this first occurred we had an experience that is still ongoing. At first we assumed that a child had a laser pointer, we seen a red laser enter into our master bedroom and literally bounced off our walls, our 6 year old son yelled at the same time and had the same red beam of light in his bedroom and that evening needless to say he slept with us.

We cannot explain this without coming across as insane, yet we are getting no help in regards to whom we have currently contacted. We now see these red beams during the day in our home and after trying to record them on film they disappear. Our son is petrified due to he stated that these red beams were talking to him and after we asked him what he meant he stated they were spelling out words as well as language to him.

I will not go into any detail as to what these beams have spelled out, we are in fear that it will get worse if even possible at this point in time. They claim to not be from Earth, furthermore they claim to do us harm. We are at a dead end and ready to move and we are searching for anyone else in or around the Omaha area who has witnessed anything similar.

These beams have been everywhere in our home and the troubling thing is what they spell out. Again, in closing, we only hope someone here might have had any similar problems with these types of beams and what have you done to stop them? We are one step away from moving. The language they have expressed through writing for a better word has been anything but friendly.

When these beams enter our home our 6 year old son knows right away, directly above our home we hear a very loud humming, almost a whirling sound.

A reddish pink glow in sky, seemed to be moving towards us and then dissappeared. I walked out of the house, facing to the south and in the sky was a round fireball or light. It was a reddish pinkish glow.

At first I thought maybe it was a helicopter because it seemed to be flying horizontally (unlike a falling star), but it was too pinkish to be a helicopter light, and a little too big. I kept watching, hoping my husband would get to see it. It seemed to come towards us, but yet that it was far away and then it just was gone.

Is there an explanation for this?.

UFO seen as low as 65 feet!!!!!! I was on my way home, and was driving on the interstate. I saw a bright light almost 3 miles away but could'nt tell what it was. About 2 miles ahead, I could see something hovering above the interstate overpass.

And as i came closer, I could see that it was only maybe 90ft. in the air! I could see people standing outside and other people slowing down, almost to a complete stop just to look at it. It had 3 lights on it, and all were at the front of the aircraft.

The colors were red and a bright floressant white color. The aircraft it self was probably about 35-45 ft. in width, and to be honest, I really can't tell what color it was.

The color of it was almost midnight or camoflauge.

Two yellow lights trailing dropping sparks seen heading slowly south over Lincoln, NE Leaving the mall toward the parking lot we witness two lights flying south about as fast as helicopters would fly. To us they appeared about the size and shape of a yellow street lamp seen from aobut 8 blocks away. They were tailing or dropping what ap[peared to be sparks.

My wife saw this first as her eyes are much younger and better. The first craft was dropping these sparks first. Then I witnessed the second one dropping sparks.

At first, I thought it was maybe a bomb, or perhaps parachutes. The sparks appeared for only about 2 seconds and then dissipated. It is hard to judge distance, but I would guess they crossed the sky about 2 miles away, maybe more.

I called 911 and they checked it out for us. We called back later on a non emergency number and they had no radar records nor were there any military exercises.

It was at night so all that was visible were two yellow to orange lights that were side by side, the distance between them is unknown. They seemed to be moving towards us north to south at about tree top level, it's difficult to tell how far away they were because it was dark and overcast and we had no perspective. As they moved slowly towards us they began to move, as if they were rotating so that eventually they were aligned one on the top of the other, they then started to move away from us and slowly moved back to their origional position.

Their movement was so in sync and smooth not jerky at all, that perhaps they were attached to one large object. After a couple minutes of moving away from us they simply vanished. One more point they or it was totally silent.
