Nebraska UFO Sightings in 1995

Stationary light turns off then on then remains in sky for the entire next day, but nobody notices? This sighting happened with a good friend of mine which I will not name. He took me to Bassett to introduce me to a cousin of his for a possible date with her. After some chatting with her and her father we decided to drive back to Ainsworth which is about 17 miles.

By the time we left her house it was dark with no moon visible. It was also a very clear, crisp December night with no wind, ( unusual for NE!!). On the way home I noticed an unusually bright star in the North West, more West than North.

The closer we came to town, the closer this light seemed to be. It did not appear to move, and the closer to town we came, the higher up it appeared. As if it were stationary and we were approaching it.

At the time we were about ¾’s of the way home I pointed this out to my friend and it sparked his curiosity. We continued to watch it until we were 1 mile outside of Ainsworth. At that time I asked him if he would turn off onto a country road leading north.

He did, and we drove 1 mile north, turned back West and drove about ¼ mile then stopped. We sat with the pickup running and observed this bright light in the sky for about 30 seconds. We were the only vehicle on the road since this is a very rural area.

At our vantage point, the only other lights in our immediate area were distant yard lights and the other stars in the sky, not to mention the soft glow from town. He mentioned that it looked like a light from a helicopter searchlight and I agreed, it looked like it was about 500 feet up and about ½ mile to the Northwest of us. It was at this moment that he shut off the pickup and the lights.

About 1 second after he killed the lights, the light in the sky literally turned off! We sat there stunned for about 1 minute looking at where it had been, we started to see a light again, but it was faint. It grew brighter and brighter until it was as bright as it was before. I rolled down my window to see if I could hear an engine or something, but it was dead silent.

My friend got very nervous and said, "We’re gettin’ the hell out of here!" He started up the pickup turned on the lights and high-tailed it to town. We both lived in town at the time, so he dropped me off, didn’t say a word about it and he went home. He still lives here and hasn’t said anything about that night since then.

I was honestly still a little freaked out about it so I called the sheriff’s office to see if there were any reports about strange lights. The dispatcher said there had been no reports. I managed to lie down and get a little sleep that night, but when I woke at 6:30 the next morning the light was still in the sky, except it was more in the West.

It remained in the Westerly sky until I went to bed the next night and I have not seen it since then. Some days, months, and years after I have asked certain close friends of mine if they saw anything unusual around that time, but none have admitted to seeing anything. I don’t claim that this was an alien spacecraft, but it was the strangest thing I’ve ever seen, and I think I speak for my friend too.

6 witness saucer gliding over building at close range there were about 6 of us taking a break behind our work place outside on a beautiful day it was still light out all of a sudden this huge disc shaped saucer came over the top of the building it was silver in color with green yellow red orange lights flashing or going off in sequence around the outer edge it was about fifty feet or so over the top of the building it didnt make a sound noone said a word we all just stared and watched as it headed n.e. it just glided almost at a floating pace when it got so far out where we should have been able to still see it the craft went black like it wasnt there but it should have been because it was still in eye range and it was huge when it was gone i ran in and called offut air base the line was busy for 3 hours they told me they had other reports on it said falling debrie noway! Silent craft flying extremely low dropping flaming embers I was located less than a mile north of Offutt AFB (Nebraska) in a grocery store parking lot on Highway 370 when I noticed 'fire' in the sky to the north of my location. Upon further inspection, it appeared to be moving very slowly with flaming embers falling from the bottom. There was not any sound associated with the craft and I feared it was a jet crashing.

However, it didnt lose any altitude and continued traveling westward until I couldnt see it. I never heard any crash sound and there were no reports of downed aircraft from the base. The details of the event are sketchy for me because I didn't write them down.

I didn't really think much about it until I heard another report describing the flaming embers. I dont remember any lights associated with the craft other than the embers. It was flying lower than the top of a water tower to the west of my location.

I am certified as a weather observer/forecaster and have extensive experience watching the night time sky, though this is what I would consider my first UFO encounter. I just assumed it was an unannounced military aircraft.

There was not a sound when i was looking at the object or when it left the area as it dissapered It was on the night at which the hail bop comet was circling the earth and could be seen through a telescope me and a friend were outside looking at it then i looked at the trees near where me and him were watching the comet and at the tree tops I saw two saucer shaped disks they had lights going around the outer side of the saucer and it hovered there for about 8 min or so. There was no sound at all. So i told my friend to come check it out and he got real sacred cause he did not know what it was.

then from out of nowhere a light came from one of the ufo's and my friend watching this with me just was in shock and did not move at all. then from the woods came a grey creature that had a shape of pear for a head and two of the biggest black eyes that i have ever seen and had no mouth and no reproductive organs. I had then felt a sharp pain in my head and i could hear the creatures thoughts and feel what it was feeling.

then he turned back after the pain in my head had gone away and the object had vanished before my eyes. and ever since that day in june through the early days in july I have thoes sharp pains like migraines in my head. And to this day i have gotten strange calls from people claiming to be from the government.

Triangle Shaped UFO that was Huge! I was about 6 years old then. It was at a friend’s house. It was dark outside and I was on my way inside.

I saw three lights in a triangle form with one big light in the center of the other three. It was moving effortlessly and silently. It was about the size of an F-117 Stealth.

But it stopped! It moved away from me and up in an "S" maneuver. And faster than anything I’ve ever seen even up to this date, it was gone. But what really spooked me was that when my friends and I were playing tag in the dark I thought I saw one of my friends with his shirt off.

But because I didn’t have my glasses on, I walked up close to him but he didn’t move until I got very close to him and then he just ran off. Then when I saw him later he had his shirt on. And when I asked about it he said he never took it off.
