The low-hanging cloud looked too dense In about 1995 I was living in Oconee County, South Carolina. I was driving south on Highway 11 towards Highway 24 where there's an overpass. It was pre-dusk.

I was about a mile away from the intersection when I noticed a strange looking cloud hanging low over the overpass. It was a grey, cloudy day but the cloud that caught my attention stood out from the background. It didn’t look right, it looked too dense.

Suddenly five strobe-like lights flashed from the cloud in a 1-2-3-4-5-5-4-3-2-1 horizontal pattern. It was over in a second. I immediately flashed my headlights five times and kept driving.

I exited at the overpass and drove under the cloud and stopped. I looked up but couldn't see anything. Weeks later my husband said he was on his way home less than a mile from the overpass.

It was just past sunset, a clear night. He said he saw what at first looked like a brightly lit semi trailer-truck cross Highway 24 in front of him. Except, it was about 30 feet up in the air.

Seconds later, by the time he got to where it had crossed the road it had disappeared behind a fire tower and some trees. There's no cross street there, only pasture and a dirt driveway to the tower. He said he wasn't sure of the shape of the object, only that it seemed about the size of a semi, 40-50 feet long or so.

At approximately 4 a.m. I wass sitting at at truck stop off Interstate 26 near Bowman South Carolina doing some paper work.

I noticed from just above tree level a craft surrounded by lights emerging from just above tree top level. At first it appeared to be a small triangular object decorated with lights such as a hang glider. Then as more of the object drifted into view it appeared to be one huge object that was made up of three smaller triangular objects.

Almost as if three hang gliders were attached together making up a larger triangular object. As more of it became visible and it drifted into full view I realized that it was not hang gliders due to the enormous size of it. It was almost silent.

Perhaps a small engine sound was barely audible such as a putter or hum, but not sure about that. Then just as if it realized that it had drifted into a populated area it stopped, hovered, then the lights blinked once. twice.

three times. then absolutely dark it went. But it was bright night and you could still see the object hovering above.

It then made a slow lumbering change of direction back to the cover of the tree top canopy and away from the interstate. If you've ever seen the floating laboratory that scientists use to study the rain forest canopy in South America. It is a floating helium filled raft like craft used by scientsts to drift over the rain forest and gather data and experiments.

This UFO was similar to that with lights. I'm convinced that it is definitely man made due to it's crudeness and slow mobility. It probably is hydrogen cel or helium and is manned by military special ops types doing training ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate.

Driving around 9 mile curve my husband and I watched it hover for a few sec. then shoot straight up then back and forward until shooting off. It was silver, football shaped.

My husband told me not to talk about it with anyone because no one would believe it.

My roomate and I were on our way to work around 1995 when we witnessed a UFO. It was 5:45 AM and obviously still dark outside. We were heading down the cut-through road that runs parallel with Mitchell Road in Greenville, SC towards Hudson Road when we spotted this "craft.

" I stopped the truck and we got out to observe. We watched this thing for over 15 minutes. It was completely silent and just hovering over the tops of pine trees.

It was absolutely huge. I am guessing that it was as big as a football field. It was shaped like similar to a blimp.

It had red, green, and amber/yellow lights all over it. There were no aviation lights on it anywhere that a typical manmade craft would have. The UFO slowly faded beyond our sight beyond the pine trees as the Sun came up.

I called the local radio station that morning to see if anyone else had seen it. I could hardly believe that nobody else saw it. Another friend of mine lived right near this sighting and is positive that it was a blimp that he saw there all the time.

Michellin is close by, but this was not a blimp in my opinion. I have searched high and low on the Internet to find a blimp that was anything like this to no avail. Also, why would a blimp be flying at 5:45 AM? I noticed on a website that indexes sightings that a gentleman in Boone, NC also saw a craft almost identical around the same time.

Odd lights seen over ocean in Myrtle Beach, SC. I happened to be on a hotel balcony looking at the stars on a very clear night and five lights approx the size of stars passed my vision. They were in a typical fighter pattern(V) so I thought they were aircraft at very high altitudes flying extremely fast.

My girlfriend was next to me and I tried to point them out. When they were about in front of me they stopped and appeared to stop and quickly moved into an circle. After a few seconds they abruptly took off in different directions at jaw dropping speeds.

I know this sounds nuts and I doubt my own eyes but this is what I saw. The date is wrong but I know it was summertime. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

Object spotted at boat storage. A boyfriend and I were sitting at a boat storage unit in a small neighborhood near the elementary school. I can't remember exactly what time it was, but it must have been after 10pm because it was very dark.

It was the summer, I think, because it was warm. We had the windows down and the car was running. We were listening to the radio.

At this landing, there is a man-made pond that the boat storage that kind of buffers it. There is a street light that is the only one back near this storage place. At this time, there were no houses around the storage unit.

We both saw the bushes around the pond moving, and we both got really scared. Then, this object shot up out of the water/bushes. It wasnt very big,maybe the size of my car.

It made no noise at all. I remember asking him what it was. It had lights on it, red and white.

It moved over the car, and a white light beam came from under it. It slowed over my car. Then it sped of and disappeared behind the trees.

We! both agreed we should leave. The next day I called him to ask if he remembered what we saw. He confirmed everything I remembered from the previous night.

I still don't know what to make of that experience. I know it happened. I know it was real.

Very scary This happened when I was in high school in 1995. I have never reported it because of fear, but felt the need. I was driving up the road from my house where there is a pasture.

A huge very clear and obvious ufo was hovering above the pasture . I have never seen anything like it before or after. The next thing I know, two hours have passed and I was on a different road.

I drove home scared to death and told my family but it was no longer there. I will never forget it.

Bright red sphere floating and completely silent takes off and disappears. I don't remember the exact date or even the year. I know it was in the 90s and I was In Junior high school.

I was in my yard about to cross the street to go to a neighbors house when I saw a bright reddish sphere with an orange tint. It was floating over my friends house and completely still. It did not seem far away and did not make a sound.

I stopped dead in my tracks staring at it trying to figure out what it was. I was in shock. Before I had the chance to do anything else it took off to the left in a perfect line so fast and disappeared.

It was the weirdest thing I've seen in my life. It wasn't a weather balloon or any other thing like that. It was different.

I never told anyone because I did not want to be made fun of. Recently I told my husband and he thinks I'm nuts. But after reading other peoples descriptions of what they saw it sounds like I am not the only one.

something i never want to see again atleast not this close. One morning before school years ago, I was a the bus stop. All I can seem to remember is glancing up to be suprised.

I saw a triangler shaped ufo very very quite almost no sound at all just above the tree line 20 feet from me. and the ufo was not even 100 yards from me. I can remember bright but not bright lights from it but not the colors or location of them.

That is the only part i can remember my memory is very clouded. and i dont even remember seing it leave or in fact ever going to school. ok i only have a cell phone so no collect call can be made and not sure of the zip code of this new county im in.
