South Carolina UFO Sightings in 2003

Two circular object with morphing interchangeable colors, definetly discs,emanating blue green light. On the afternoon of Dec 27th, 2003, while sitting and talking to a man on the bench near the ocean In Myrtle Beach South Carolina about 500 yds from the ocean, there appeared in the sky above and to the west a disc approximately the size of a slightly oversized silver dollar. Above it and to the upper left hand quadrant was a smaller one about the size of a nickle.

I observed the object kind of floating with the wind which was moving from SW by W (I'm A sailor and am very cognizant of wind direction and speed.) I commented that it looked like someone's balloon had gotten either loose or out of control. What made me think it was a balloon was the fact that it looked like a target, circular in shape with an orange center and a black perifory.

This color combination changed from black out side to orange outside and as that happened the black moved to the center. I assumed I was looking at some sort of prismatic plastic balloon that changes colors as it changes angles to the light source. Then something happened that made me realize this was not a ballon at all, because it stopped and hovered for a bit then it began moving into what would have been the winds opposite direction.

The smaller one did the same thing also. The two of them moved in a floating manner and there were no sudden or quick movements. At this time both the man I was talking to began to realize we were looking at something entirely new to both of us.

However about two minutes into this sighting the large circle went up on it's side turning the target like image on end. It was at this point we realized we were looking at a disc. There was no dome it seemed to be a flat disc with only a small thickness in proportion to it's size.

After about a minute more in this position it again went circular and turned once more to the side Now we saw a glittering flash indicating that we were looking at something metallic. It flashed momentarily then went on it's side at this point the colored side would have been facing away from earth with the shiny side down. There was an instant when a blue green light best described as aquamarine in color emanated from the circular disk in a cone like manner,and completely around the disc, so much as we could discern form the angle we were looking at it.

The light seemed to be widening as it shone down towads earth. This lasted for about two seconds. Meanwhile the two objects still close enough to be observed without having to look from one to the other, the small one went up on edge and we lost sight of it never agan to see it.

After the larger one exhibithed the light phenomenon, we saw it return to it's original orange and black colors and still the colors seemed to bleed into one another and exchange places black inside orange outside and vice versa, kind of reminded us of a lava lamp. By this time we noticed another course change the large one still it's approximate original size began to change directions and again going with the wind began to move out over the ocean. We watched it turn from circle to flat and back to circle.

all the time this object was not hurrying. We both agreed that we were watching something totally new to us, then without so much as a change in course the orange and black circular disc facing us back on the beach and still at this time the size of a quarter just absolutely and completely disappeard before our eyes. We tried to guess the height of the objects we were looking at,but since we had no way of knowing what size it was we couldn't accurately describe the height .

There was no relative size to compare it with . However based on the size of one to the other and comparing the two we thought perhaps if one of the object s the larger one was at 3ooo feet the smaller one would have been perhaps 5ooo We could only guess. The sky that day was crystal clear not a cloud, or a mist or anykind of sight inhibiting thing that would have caused us an illusion of any sort.

circular disc with oberservation windows floating in the sky. We were traveling north on I95 just before the junction with I26 in South Carolina. I look up right at dusk and saw what I thought was a aircraft.

I keep watching and as it got closer I noticed a unusual landing light formation. The closer it got the clear it became. It was a round type of craft with two rows of what appeared to be oberservation windows quite wide in the front of the craft.

The were fully lighted and the craft appeared to be just floating along. We pulled over and observed as it went over head. It made no sound as it was only a mile or so over head.

The lights wrapped around theright side of the craft. We could not see anyone , but felt we were being watched. I am wondering if anyone else reported any sightings around that area.

It was quite large, we couldn't believe what we were seeing.

saucer like object across the horizon 8:15pm southern sky, south carolina myself, my wife, infant daughter, and two friends from wales had just left el a mexican restaraunt. we were all in the car when i said, "look at that." it was after dusk, but before all light was gone.

i thought that it might be a shooting star, but as i tried to explain the direction and what i was talking about, it arced and disappeared into the tree line. no one else i was with saw it. i couldn't believe it, i got out of the car and just said "holy shit.

holy shit." it was a cliched as thing as one could imagine. a saucer shaped object looked like it was made out of some brushed metal like aluminum.

it was not herky-jerky, it moved smoothly and uniformly across the horizon. i followed it until it was out of sight. i used the compass in my car to determine that the object was in the southern sky.

it sounds ridiculous and if i was going to make something up, i would have not descibed the thing to look like a "saucer" of all things. i have a college degree in photography and english and am an executive in the music industry. i am reasonable person who would normally dismiss such a thing.

Hovering craft with different color lights blinking. There was a hovering object glowing in the east sky. When I looked at it with binoculars it was blue,red,and white light blinking.

The only odd thing was that is was just hovering in one spot. What kind of aircraft could it be?.

Bright orange light lasts 3-5 seconds over ocean, accompanied by multiple strobe lights Have seen this phenomena several times over the last couple of months, and did a web search to see if anyone else has seen it, hence this report. I live in an oceanfront condo, and was sitting on my balcony overlooking the ocean when a bright orange light appeared approximately 25 degrees off the horizon over the ocean. The light was bright enough to reflect in the water, although how far away it was I could not discern.

The light basically blinked on, remained bright for about 3-5 seconds, and then quickly faded out. It did not move. Another light appeared about 5 minutes later at about the same height, but a quarter of the horizon north.

Another appeared 10 minutes later, directly in front of me, at the same level, and as soon as it faded out, another one appeared maybe 5 degrees away from the first. The light is large, to my eye approximately 10 times larger than Mars. Focusing binoculars on the light does not provide any discernible object, with no running lights visible after it fades to indicate an aircraft.

There was a full moon out, which backlit the sky enough to make any physical object visible through binoculars. The sky was clear. Each time I have seen these orange lights, they are accompanied by a multitude of white strobes, numbering anywhere between 10-30, which move across the sky at various altitudes, but the movement is erratic.

I am used to seeing aircraft strobes as planes departing and landing from the Myrtle Beach airport fly across the ocean regularly. These strobes do not track like an aircraft, but erratically bounce around. At times a red strobe can be seen alongside the white strobes.

Mostly the strobes can only be seen with binoculars, however it is not uncommon to discern them with the naked eye once you know what to look for. I have always seen these objects between 9pm and 11pm, sometimes they last for two hours, other times for a half hour. Tonight I observed a set of 6 white strobes move inland for the first time.

They normally remain offshore. The strobe! s are very small, which makes judging their distance difficult. The strobes and orange lights sometimes appear on one side of the horizon, then the orange light will appear on the opposite side, and the strobes appear to race across the sky to it.

A multitude of aircraft with strobes moving as a group may appear they are moving erratically due to the nature of a strobe light. The only explaination I can devise concerning the orange lights is possibly the glow from afterburners, although there is no aircraft visible when it fades, ie no running lights. Two guests have seen these lights on different nights with me.

Series of lights, lighting in sequence from right to left, and fading out in same sequence. At 22:35 I observed the following from a hotel balcony overlooking the ocean: A series of lights fading in in sequence, each light staying lit for about 3-4 seconds before fading out. The lights began to the right and lit up one after the other from right to left.

First 5 or 6 in straight line, the remainder at various heights but close in proximity of height (estimate 500 to 1000 feet above the ocean and 1-3 miles from the shoreline) Only 3-4 lights could be seen lit at any one time. The lights were orange-yellow in color and appeared to be shining directly at the shore as each one faded in and out. While lit, the lights could be seen hovering slightly upward and to the right very slowly, as if almost floating.

Night was partly cloudy, and the lights were definitely below the cloudline as the lights were very clear and large.

LOng cloud like object races across the sky While my wife and I were outside sitting by a fire cooking hot dogs we looked up at the stars and saw a long very very high going from horizion to horizion, What I am going to describe is hard but i will try anyway. It was like a long narrow cloud, except it moved from west to east at an amazing speed and never seemed to get wider or more narrow. We both said boy look at it race across the sky.

We watched it till it went out of sight to the east. We went back to cooking our hot dogs and looked up about 5 min later and watched another long narrow cloud like thing again race across the sky from west to east. This also reached from horizion to horizion.

Like the other it RACED across the sky no way was the wind blowing this that fast. Even if you watched a jet fly that would be slow compared to how fast this "cloud" moved. We never heard a sound and it was a very quiet night.

The moon really light it up. ((NUFORC Note: We wonder whether the witnesses might have observed military fighter aircraft passing overhead at velocities higher than what is typical for a transport jet aircraft. Just a guess.

Enormous Round Object with Lights in the Sky I was driving on I-26 west heading North when I noticed what I thought at first was a strange reflection of lights in my windsheild. This had been going on for a few minutes when I became aware of it. I then looked up at the sky and there seemed to be lights behind the clouds, I thought maybe lightening.

But the lights were not flashing and I could not see streaks or bolts. The lights seemed to be undulating(for lack of a better word) behind the clouds. I then became aware of a light and some movement in the corner of my left eye.

When I looked I saw an enormous(huge!) round object with 2 sets of lights in a large and small circle (inside the large) on it. It appeared to spin slightly one way and then the other. I'm not sure if it was turning or if the lights were just blinking.

The object was very close to the tree tops and was at a slight angle. I was in a total state of shock. And then I realized how close it was to me and that it seemed to be following along with me.

I kind of panicked and turned off my radar detector, cell phone and radio. I realize now that this was silly. But I suddenly became scared.

Then as suddenly as I noticed it , it was gone. I don't remember seeing it fly away or anything. I just remember it no longer being there.

I may have just sped up and left it behind. There were no cars near me going North and I could see some heading my way on the other side of the interstate, but they were not close. It was strange because I forgot about it for about a half a day and then suddenly I remembered and told my daughter about it.

I have been searching to see if anyone else saw this. It was so huge that I could not be the only one to see this! I was wide awake and had only been traveling about 2.5 hours.

Three star like lights following the ISS My friend and I went out to a private grass Air field last night to do some Astronomy observing with his 10" Telescope. While my friend was viewing through the telescope I turned back and looked toward the SW and saw what looked like the ISS (International Space Station) coming over . I told my friend to stop and lets look at the ISS since it is so bright a -0.

7 MAG. Once the ISS flew over and past us we both continued watching when we saw three very faint star like lights moving with it. One along side,and two behind the ISS.

We both continued to observe the lights as long as we could. Were not sure what we saw, and wonder if anyone else saw what we saw.

Eight, small star-like objects were seen floating and moving after a plane passed, then they disappeared First of all, this is not a "flying saucer" report; we just didn't know where to go to report what we saw. At 14:10 (EST) in Spartanburg, South Carolina, exiting a building, and looking almost exactly east, a plane was seen coursing across the sky. Immediately after observing the contrail forming, the two observers saw 8 (eight) objects in the sky, appearing like stars (relatively the same size, but more metallic-silvery-shiney in appearance than a star at night) in the blue, daylight sky.

These objects had no apparent formation, but they were moving slowly. Almost 7 (seven) minutes into observing these objects, 6 (six) of the objects appeared to have a two-by-three formation: two columns, three in each column, almost equidistant in space in relation to each other. After roughly 10 (ten) minutes of observation, the 8, star-like objects could not be seen; it was as if they had slowly vanished from the observers' sight.

This is speculation: We thought the objects we saw were parachutes for a while, but we deduced that, given the time we observed the objects, we would have seen them increase in size/get larger and more apparent. However, the objects appeared to slowly decrease in size and then vanish over time. We finally concluded that we had no idea what these objects were.

cluster of white lights "hopscotching" in the sky At 5:00 am, my husband and I both obseverd several white, circular lights clustered together in the sky. The sky was absolutely clear and quite lit with many stars. They would appear in one spot and then reappear in another.

It was obvious the lights were not stars, planets,helicopters,or planes. They were sort of "hopscotching" over one area of the sky, the all of a sudden just disappeared.

Strange Hovering Object Me and my friend T were driving from his house to my brothers house. On the way, T (riding in the passanger seat)noticed a bright light and it appeared to be dropping into the atmosphere. He said "Oh my God, a bomb is dropping!".

By the time I directed my attention to the object (only a split moment later), we were just coming to the top of a small hill, and at first, I thought it was a street light (it was the same color as a streetlight). I told T to stop pulling my leg, and then he said "look!" and the object was moving off to the right. As we continued down the road, we seemed to be gaining on the object.

We continued forward into a Publix parking lot(It was relatively empty, because it had just closed). At that point, the object was hovering right over the treeline (however many feet up is impossible to tell), and, if I were to guess, I'd say it was close enough to see us. We were behind the grocery store looking at the object in amazement.

We both stepped out of the car to get a better look, and the object seemed to be slowly getting closer. Me and my friend got a good look at the object: It was surrounded by a series of maybe 10 or 12 smaller lights (from what I remember, they were neon bluish), and in the middle of the circle there was a significantly bigger orangeish/red light. The object got closer and closer to us, untill there was no doubt in our minds that it wasn't hovering there by coincidence, it must have known we were almost right under it! After a few minutes of hovering, it took off in a blur.

T and I were confused as to which direction it went in. Neither of us could agree as to which way it went, therefore, we had no clue as to which road to take to follow it. The craft made no noticeable noise.

There was a series of strange occurances that took place for a couple of weeks after the sighting, the first one being later that night/next morning: I fell asleep at T's house that night. When I awoke (~5am) I jumped up in fright from the bean bag chair I fell asleep in, and quickly woke my friend. I didn't know why I was so worked up.

I didn't recall any particularly scary dreams, in fact, I didn't recall any dreams at all. A few days later, I awoke to my door slamming shut (~11am). There was nobody home at the time, nor had there been for hours.

While I was undressing to take a shower, I looked at my back in the mirror and there were 2 sets 3 horizontal red lines on the back of my shoulders. One set for each side. I attempted to feel them, but couldn't.

They were as smooth as my skin. There were no scabs or anything. I thought they may have been stretch marks, but from my experience with stretch marks, I have always been able to feel their indentation.

they were evenly spaced and about 4 inches long. T's father awoke to a slamming door at around 3am a few days after that. He didn't tell me about it untill I mentioned that it happened to me first.

About 5 months later, me and T were playing videogames. We heard a very strange noise outside his window, and the only way I could describe it was that it sounded painfull and somewhat like a bird and a human scream combined, but not overly loud. We both paused for a few moments, commented on the strangeness of the sound, and continued playing games.

I soon went home, but before leaving, Me and T investigated his backyard to see if we could find what made the noise. We found nothing, and I went home that night. The next day T said he had the same marks I had.

His brother M said that he awoke to something scurrying around the room when his 1 year old was crying. M thought it was a ghost. I never saw T's marks, cause they healed in like 2 days, where mine took over a weak, so I never got to compare the marks.

silver orb associated with chemtrails I had stopped the car at a park and got out to watch planes spraying what looked like chemtrails. I had just ran across that subject on the net and waas surprised the first time I looked up at the sky and saw what I had just been reading about. There was only one other car at the park and I asked the lady in it if she had binoculars or camera, but she didn't.

She got out of the car and as we observed the 3 planes apparently spraying, we noticed a small flash of light right at the junction of 2 trails, where the trails made a large X in the sky. The flash was only momentary and we couldn't perceive what it was, it seemingly ddisappeared. We turned our backs on that spot to follow a certain plane as it was preparing to swing back around for another flight over the city.

Then we saw, at our left field of vision, a peculiar object. It seemed to rather glide, and it maitained a consistent altitude, and it came our direction. I became rather frightened as it approached.

It was not too far away, not so high. (I have difficulty estimating distance and altitude, as I've never had a reason to do so before) At first I thought that whatever it was, it was the same thing as I'd just seen, ie. that "flash of light", though it may have been a totally different thing.

As it got closer, I could see that it appeared metallic silver, and it was perfectly spherical. Also, completely silent. When it reached a point that was more or less in front of us I noticed that it seemed to be exuding a purple or violet haze.

I asked the lady with me if she could see the color, but she couldn't see it. I know that as an artist I am more sensitive to color that the average, non-artist. The color was not solid, the substance seemed to be a vapor, a mist, or like a gas.

When it just about had made a complete 180 degree parade across our field of vision, it began to ascend, rather quickly, and straight upwards. This sighting occured on a relatively clear day. I don't use drugs or alcohol, and don't take any medicine that would interfer with perception.

I can't speak for the other witness, but I did find out that she was a Christian also, and after this incident we were both frightend and we prayed together before leaving the park. Two days later, over my house, I watched similar planes apparently spraying. Another silver orb seemed to appear at the X mark of the trails.

This orb I saw through my binoculars and it was at a high altitude. I maintained sight of it for only about a minute. I reported these incidents to the local Air Force Base, and to the local FAA district manager but no one wished to take a report.

I SAW LARGE SHINY DISC SHAPED (UFO) FLYING OVER MURRELLS INLET, S.C. WHILE FISHING! My wife and I were out on our pontoon boat with some friends and we were about an 8th of a mile past the jettys in the Murrells Inlet, S.

C around 2:00pm on a Saturday and the sky was clear and sunny. I saw a hug bright flash-like hit an oject that I saw in the sky, and it was as a flash bulb from a camera. I looked up and saw the sunlight was reflecting off of a large curcular object in the sky.

I thought, what in the world could something so big be in the sky? I knew it had to be a (UFO). It was the size of about 100 feet across, and it shined like polished stainless or aluminum. The distance from where I was on the boat to where it was sitting in the sky was around 300 to 500 ft.

above the marsh, and about 3 miles away from where we were fishing. I watched the object level up and move due south real slow until it was almost out of sight. The object stopped in the sky and then moved back due north and it passed back infront of me and it was almost straight above me.

It moved alittle father north and it took off at a high rate of speed to the north west and I never heard a sound. The sighting lasted about 10 minutes. I also saw 2 black helicopters flying with no markings around the same area.

I have seen (UFO's) for over 15 years and I hope we will learn about what we see! Thank you.

A Huge Silver Disk was Hovering 300 ft. over our Pontoon 15 minutes while fishing near the jetties in the Atlantic Ocean! I have sent this information to FAA, and was told to foward what I saw to this site, and to fill this form out for you. On October 22,2003, my wife and I took some friends with us to go fishing in the Atlantic Ocean.

We Put our Pontoon at the Marina in Murrells Inlet, S.C. It was a beautiful day.

We headed out towards the jettie's near open water where we anchored the boat to fish. The only fish we caught that day was blow fish. When you pull them up out of the water because it was so funny how they would blow up, and we entertained ourselves when we caught them, we would tossed the blow fish to someone else, and the fish would let its air out.

It sound like those gag gifts you sit on sounds like GAS, and we would through them back in the ocean. We did Not have so good of a fishing day, But we had a wonderful fall day on the ocean. We checked out other boats and homes out on the waterway.

Then It was around 2:00 PM and we were still trying to catch some fish! When I had a bright Flash of light hit me at the corner of my left eye, and at first I thought it was a Camera flash, but who would have a camera in broad daylight using a flash when the sun was so bright? But when I looked up to where the flash came from, it was the Sun bouncing off something, and I turned to my left, and It was ONE "huge silver disk!" It was just hovering there in the sky,as the sun was shinning on the Disk. It was "Tilted" there straight towards us. The Silver Disk was so low, it could not be more than 300 hundred foot off the water.

I could see the swirls on the Silver Disk like it was polished! I told my wife to look up at that Hug Disk the sun bouncing off of. We could not believe how large It was, and we have seen many sightings out over the ocean, but never anything that low. It was Hovering just to the left of our Pontoon boat.

With the sun on the disk, It was so bright, it was hard to look at it for long at a time, but yet it j! ust drawed you to look at it. We were in disbelief of such a l! arge Sil ver round disk and it was atleast 20 ft deep. The Silver Disk was to the South of us, and no more than a quarter of a mile from us, and tilted right down toward us in our boat like it was watching us.

But there was no sound coming from it, or I would have heard It. I have never seen anything do what this Disk done so close to the water while it sit there tilted up for atleast 10 minutes. It was atleast a Hundred feet wide, if not more, and we did not know what to do.

There were no markings, no windows that I could see. But it was only one big bright and shinny "Soild" Hug silver Round Disk. After it sit there for awhile, then It slowly turned up right to a level view, and it moved backwards away from us, but we could still see it.

Then it moved back to the front of us like it was like focused on us. Should we leave, because we have heard people talk about being taken by some kind of a ship! Then it moved again, and it turned towards the North to North West, and the! disk vanished! I could not understand what it was doing here, or why this Disk seem to stay right with us. but we have seen a lot Large lights out over the ocean before, that I have in another Description.

We never seen any other planes out there at that time in the sky. It was amazing that it would not have any sound from the size it. I knew that we had seen a real UFO! It was kinda like you had to keep your eyes on it, as if it was trying to tell us something, or watching us.

But the more I thought about it, and there was no dought we had a large "Silver Disk", staying real close and I was concerned! What was it doing out here almost right on top of us, and I wish we knew what these things want, and why was it following us so close out in the ocean in Broad day light? We see most of the sightings at night, because of the lights. There were other boats in the ocean, and we never saw it go near them. It was strange, and alittle worrysome.

I just wish we had a ca! mera, so I would have a picture to look at, but I will never f! orget wh at it looked like! I will keep a camera with us from now on! We did not catch any good fish that day, but I Did get Something Big, like I never saw before, It was a UFO Sightng! I am a Christian, and I know our God made the "Heavens & The Earth", but he also said there will be "Sights & Wonders", We are told that there are God's Angels, and the devils angels that are fighting all around us for our Souls! Our Bodies are all Earthly until we are saved by the Grace of God, and he fills us with his Holy Spirit, and that changes our bodies to "Spiritual", and we have God's Spirit always in our Heart & in our Soul & it's like a Arrmor of defense! But unsaved Souls are "Earthly"! God says that No "Earthly" Flesh & Blood shall enter the gates of Heaven. I know God made it all, but we still live in a Sinful world, and the Devil is always out in full force to make those that are not saved his. We are all Sinners, But the difference is ! Trusting in God, and having Faith Always in our Lord.

If God be with us, then who can be against us? I am so Blessed to have God on my side, and Pray that others allow him into their hearts, so they will know true unconditional Love! I will draw something up as close as possible and send it US Mail ASAP! Thanks, God Bless,.

The sky lite up blue then a streak of greeninh white light came down from the sky and exploded. It was Monday night, and me and my boyfriend were out side on the tail gate of his truck and he were just talking. My cousin KJ was inside playing playstation.

Well, then we were looking at the sky and it started to turn blue and then a fireball streak came out of the sky that was a greenish white color. It was not going so fast but then there was a big burst of colors and i didnt know what it was. But I guess you can figure that out for me.

october 12th sunday 2003 6:35pm. /distorted airway/sky perhaps portle 15/20feet high same width on our land facing westnorthwest what i am about to tell you is the "third time" i did witness this happening on our land. sunday evening as the sun had set quiet a bit,by the time of about 6:35 pm.

, it was very easy to see what it was that i saw,because there wasn't glare of the sun. right here on our land"i observed what i think was a portle". it was 15 to 20 ft.

high in the air/sky and about the same width. right in front of my eye of view,there it was,it was incredible,absolutely incredible. i was just sitting quietly observing all of our surroundings and bam,there it was,i just sat there for a good while[at least 12/15 mins.

] i decided to go get my husband,but,he was not interrested,"at all".there have been and still are quiet a lot of things/strange things happening here,but,it always happens when i am alone.

For two consecutive nights, we watched a pattern of lights before we were stunned by a discovery on the beach. I am the pastor and director of a Christian outreach ministry. My wife is an administrator, my mother is a retired nursing supervisor, my four children range in age from 20 to fourteen.

We witnessed first one light in the sky, from our perspective, to the right of the moon, high over the ocean horizon. It started as a small light and continued to increase in intensity until it appeared as a very bright, directional light. Yet it had know strobe or movement.

The lumination continued for approximately 10 sec. and then slowly faded at the same point in the sky. It was a clear night.

Almost immediately, another light, in another point of the sky to our east slowly came on and increased in intensity in the exact same manner without movement. Then, two lights, simultainously came on in different parts of the sky, then, together, they went out after approximately 10 sec. Then six lights came on in a pattern, one after another, again, no strobe, no movement, all over the ocean horizon, high enough to be considered air born.

They all stayed on for approximatlely 10 sec. and then together, slowly faded out. This continue for one and a half hours and was witnessed by the entire family.

I did not report the experience to officials. Others walking on the beach were noted to stop and point. The exact same thing happened again the following night, at the same time and in the same manner.

One more very odd thing, I took my three sons kyaking on Friday of that week. We went out in the intercoastal waterway and made our way out to the ocean. We headed north, across the inlet from Cherry Grove, SC.

The island we were alongside is deserted. We were going to explore the island. We saw a large group of people approximately 1/2 mile up the beach, walking around as if to be looking for beach treasures.

An odd note, from our perspective, they were all wearing long sleeve dark shirts and long pants. Strange for that time of year. We decided we would continue toward them to see what they were looking for.

As we continued to approach, we witnessed the large group form a circle, as if they were looking at something that had washed up on the beach. We continued to paddle against the surf to reach them. We looked at each other long enough to consider what the group must be doing.

When we looked back in the direction of the group on the beach, they were gone. No sign of anyone. We continued to paddle until we reached the supposed area of the beach combers.

We beached our kyaks and began looking for evidence of the group. There were no footprints or trace of anyone, much less a group of fifty. We checked the dunes and looked for boats on the other side, which we could see from the dunes.

Everyone was gone. Then, I saw one man walking toward us from the north. He was aproximately 2/10 mile away.

I walked toward him to ask if he had seen anyone. He approached and was an old man wearing only underwear. He was carrying a metal bucket which I did not look in.

I asked if he had seen anyone else. He said he thought we were with the group. He said he they were part of a group of people that own the private island and that they were doing scientific expiriments.

Now answering any more or my questions, he continued to walk south and we never saw him again. I am perplexed by the events of our vacation and have written it off as unexplained.

46.724'W It was almost 4am and I was leaving for a long weekend before noon, so I emailed you the photo and a very short note prior to my departure. I just returned home last night and am now filing a siting report.

I was outside on our second story porch having a cigarette. Looking northeast, fairly high in the sky, I was distracted by quick movements of an object lower in the sky. I tend to have my camera always nearby, but since I was packing for a trip, I happened to have it, extra battaries, a memory card, etc.

in a case in the pocket of my robe! I quickly pulled it out, turned it on, held it up facing the area in the sky where I had detected movement, took a flash picture, and got the enclosed image. The image I previously emailed you (the night of the event), is the exact same image zoomed and cropped.

Object moved the full view of night sky in less than 60 seconds My daughter and I were out after dark when I spotted an object that was moving nw at an high altitude. I thought it was a falling star that had not entered the atmosphere yet. The object continued to move to the NW well above the aircraft in the area.

This continued for approx. 30 seconds. The object made a short turn at a high rate of speed to the south unitl it was no longer visable.

My daughter and I were both able to watch this event and were never able to come up with an explanation for the object.
