Large triangular object flying fairly low over Route 1 in wakefield Rhode Island on Halloween. 4 large white lights. Approximately 10 pm, we were driving on Route 1 South in Wakefield.

We noticed a large object with 4 large white circle lights kind of hovering over the air. The two of us both saw it at the same time and approximately 5 seconds after we spotted it, the 4 white lights went off and one of the lights turned green. Then all lights disappeared and the 4 white lights came on again.

Although it looked like a rectangle from the side, when it started moving at a very fast rate, we saw it actually looke dlike a triangle. It started to go over some trees then just completely disappeared.

Loud explosion heard along southern Rhode Island coast. At 10:15 on Thurs. Oct.

23, 2003, a deafening explosion was heard in the area, coming from SW of Rt. 1 toward the ocean. The explosion was heard in several communities including nearby Pawcatuck, CT.

I called 911 as others did. No one knew what it was including the police. A check of the area revealed nothing.

The local news channels were told by someone that it was two jets over Block Island breaking the sound barrier. A check with FAA said no jets were in the area; and, this was way too loud to be caused by jets. It was a an incredibly loud explosion that sent birds fleeing in all directions.

As of this time the event remains a mystery (13:00 hrs, 10/23). I will continue to call various federal offices to see what I can find out. This is too weird to just let it go away.

There was no smoke seen in the sky or anywhere.

a triangle formation of crafts my young daughter kept yelling -see mama, plane- as we heard a plane and saw it off in the distance, i scanned the clear blue sky and noticed in another direction VERY FAR off 6-7 craft in a perfectly straight angle line and then starting at 1 or 2 craft down the line was another line of 4-5 craft in a perfectly straight line. i had never noticed such an odd formation of craft(i am always looking up to the sky)i watched for about a minute, as they did not appear to move, then walked quickly to my front door only 5 feet or so away to grab my digital camera which was inside right by the door, it only took 10 seconds or so and as soon as i came out with my camera they were nowhere to be seen.

I watch for satelites and this night I saw what appeared to be 3 flying in an irregular triangle formation in the Northeast sky at about 70 degrees. They flew together and then faded out together and disappeared. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate; witness elects to remain totally anonymous.

Ufo sighting 17 miles into the atlantic ocean My husband and i (and another couple) were sailing from Jamestown, RI to block island on this date. We were 17 miles off the coast of Jamestown and it was night time. The sky was extremly clear that night so i was watching for shooting stars when i noticed a bright light, very bright light coming from what seemed to be aircraft.

I alerted my husband to it to see what he thought 'they' were doing. I had thought it was a helicopter possibly looking for a person or a boat in trouble b.c the light was so bright.

i went below to get binoculars and gave them to my husband since he is very familiar with the different types of aircraft. The aircraft was alone at that time, and from what i could tell had one bright light. It wasn't far from the ocean like an airplane might be.

It flew at the height of what most helicopters fly when they are looking for something.What shocked me was the pattern in which it flew. It wasn't flying staight nor was it flying in a zig zag.

it seemed to be flying in a circular pattern.almost as if it were going around another object. I couln't hear any noise except the waves in the ocean.

We watched it til it was almost out of sight. At that point, i thought i saw another one about 90 degrees away from the original one but I am unsure. ( my husband said he saw smaller lights.

I am unable to confirm this as he had the binoculars for some time.).

Diamond Shape object with a yellowish orange glow or aura around it.Pitch black I was just getting out of the Twin Willows restaurant about 1130pm or midnight. I was travelling up tower hill road in Narragansett.

I noticed a light in the sky at my left. I was fixated on this object for about a minute or two while I was at a red light. As the light turned green, I noticed to my right that there was a gold jaguar on my right waiting for me to pass.

I proceeded to go past the object. I noticed that it was a diamond shape. It was jet black like the night, and it had an orange yellowish aura around it.

As I passed it I was staring at it while I was driving, it must have been less than 200 feet in the air. I noticed as I drove by there was someone behind me flashing there light’s at me to get me to pull over. I was really excited about seeing this object in the air.

I said to myself I knew there was something out there. My uncle renato niccolai from France saw one about 30 years ago. It landed in his garden and then took off.

I have always been fascinated by this subject since I was a little kid. As I drove by I felt excited and then I felt very afraid of what I was witnessing. I have never felt those emotions at the same time.

It was intense. I didn’t stop and get out of my car as I was confused about what it was. I think about it all the time now.

I wish I had some proof, but unfortunately I don’t. If you could ever find this guy from Rhode Island with a gold jaguar somehow. I’m sure He would tell you the same story If not more.

He had stopped to look at the object. I continued driving.

while at Seagrave (Amateur Astronomy) Observatory on Peeptoad Road, Scituate,Rhode Island,noticed on the western horizon a turquoise brilliant light heading east.no aircraft blinking lights noted.it passed overhead at zenith to eastern horizon.

through 30 power 70 mm binoculars passed around it appeared as a glowing light turquoise oval.the several amateur astronomers including myself agreed that it was anomalous and a "bogey".we are familar with aircraft,satellites,etc.

it appeared about 1 cm across in a sharply focused binocular field which at that power magnification would put it at a very high altitude. ((CORRESPONDENCE WITH WITNESS)) Dear Mr.((name deleted)), Thank you very much for the excellent report.

Except for its appearance, the object you describe is consistent with an over flight of the International Space Station. You can see the data for July 19 at the following URL, and I copy over flight data below. Also, you can see the ground track of the ISS at the second URL I copy below.

Craft flew over football field I was driving home. I saw a craft fly over a patch of trees. I immediately pulled over my car and got out.

I watched to slowly fly over the football field until i could not see it any longer. It made a humming sound and had lights. It seemed to be travelling very slowly and only a couple hundred feet up.

I think I reported to RI Mufon via email at the time, yet never heard back.

Craft follows our car up the highway for at least 10 minutes then takes off when we change direction and speed abruptly. Hey, my name is ((deleted)), I live in North Providence, RI USA. I was travelling home with three of my friends who all like in the same town.

Were coming from another friend's house in Coventry, RI. We were travelling in two cars, I was in the passenger seat of my friend Joe's '85 Firebird. My friends John and Domenic were right behind us in Domenic's '72 Nova (so no slouch cars, they come up later).

We merged onto Route 95 North from exit 6 in Rhode Island. We travelled about a mile and a half when I saw to the East Southeast something flying North and the exact same speed as we were travelling. The craft was just above the tree line, it had sort of a bulky saucer shape and it had six yellow lights that were extremely dim and barely visible.

It looked very large, but I couldn't tell how far it was from us yet. We called our friends travelling next to us in the lane to our left. We coordinated between the two cars (using cellphones) to slow down and speed up together, and the craft sped up and slowed down with us with virtually no delay, it was moving with us.

I knew there was no was this was a plane, there was no sound, it was flying too low, even though we were only several miles from the state airport in Warwick. So we continued travelling North, and we coordinated a maneuver to see how the craft would react. When the highway split to 295 North and 95 North, Domenic and John in the Nova swerved behind us and sped up 95 while Joe and I in the Firebird sped up Route 295, as soon as Domenic and John were just out of our sight in the other car, the craft took a 90 Degree turn towards the East and shot so fast out of sight that if you blinked you would have missed it.

This thing took off faster than the supersonic jets at the air show, I've never seen any plane do anything like this before, it was amazing. It was at that last moment that I finally got an idea how far away it was because the tree line had started to clear and a hotel that I know was about 1/2-3/4 miles away was i! n the foreground just before the craft shot out of sight. So most likely it was no more than a mile away.

It seemed to be moving up a little bit as it took off, but it happened so quickly I really could not tell. The most amazing part of the whole encounter was that the craft made no noise and it changed speeds as we did with no delays or jerky movements, it was all very fluid in terms of movement. I really wish I had a camera because I got some great looks at this thing, it was a clear night, relatively quiet and the moon was fairly bright.

energy wings that took up the whole sky breaking into three small white lights and jetting off- no sound what so ever it had two massive wings that had no structual shape, but looked as if it were made of energy that was changin colors, the wings change shape and grew, its took up the entire night sky. this was over johnsons pond. a friend and i were in the water, and about 5 or 6 other kids were by the fire.

it started to shrink, it shot across the sky into nothing and turn into three white lights, that broke apart and flew into opposite directions. and that was it. it was the most amazing bizarre thing i have ever witnessed.

I was 13 years old. I was walking up the street to my friends house and I felt leaves blowing up against the back of me, and a loud strong wind. I looked back over my left shoulder and Frooze in fear.

The disc shaped object almost looked as if it was moving in a slow spinning rotation. I ran as fast as I could into my friend's house and bursted into tears. I know someone else must have seen it that day.

Now 15 1/2 years later I feel more comfortable to talk about this incident. I don’t care who is skeptical. I know what I seen and the image is still clear as day in my head.

Vary large glowing object with a red blinking light beneath the bright round yellow/orange glowing light I saw the object from our home in Rhode Island. We have an unobstructed view of the Eastern sky looking from Aquidneck Island towards Tiverton, RI. I first saw the object's light coming from the South and heading North.

It caught my attention because the object was so bright and was moving slower than most aircraft I've seenm. Using binoculars I was unable to distinguish what kind of aircraft it was. It moved North and then appeared to hover and then move east, I lost it in the evening clouds over Fogland.
