On the day I made this observation, there was not a single cloud to be seen in the entire sky - a typically beautiful Colorado day! As I drove south on highway 287, between Berthoud and Longmont, Colorado, I noticed a craft quite a distance ahead in the sky. It caught my eye because of its brilliance. Initially I thought it must be the sun reflecting off an airplne.
However, though craft moved across the sky; unlike sun reflecting on an airplane, the nature of the brilliant light did not change. It then briefly appeared to glow even brighter and expand to a larger sphere and just disappeared. It never appeared in the sky (the entire sky before me)again.
I frequently observe aircraft which reflect the sun at this high altitude and the nature of the light reflected changes as the aircraft moves - this do not do that.

Shooting star was leaving our atmosphere instead of falling to earth We were watching a deer in the back yard and laughing about Santa when I saw a shooting star but its direction was coming down, it was shooting up. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous. PD)).

Three strange lights move slowly and interact with one another in the night sky. Not certain what I saw. At first I thought it (the brightest object) was an airplane.
Then I saw another (less bright) object near it and thought they were two airplanes flying in a pattern. The brighter object, however, did not move as far as I could tell. I called my wife to look and she thought it was some kind of light tower but it was too high in the sky for that conclusion to make any sense.
I kept thinking, "this has to be a plane," because it was near a small airport where private props and small jets land and take off. The brightest object remained stationary for about 5 to 7 minutes while the second object seemed to go back and forth toward the brighter object. Then I noticed a third object, less bright than the other two objects, on the other side of the brightest object.
It too seemed to move back and forth toward the brightest object. Finall, the object with the brightest lights seemed to veer off and the other two followed it. Some details: the brightest object seemed to have a long rowof lights either as headlights or side lights; i looked at the objects with binoculars but could not make out and form; at one point i became afraid because the brightest like did not move as i expected.
((NUFORC Note: We have altered the date above to 2003, which we believe is what the witness intended. We believe our Online Report Form may be malfunctioning. PD)).

Triangle shaped object with 4 different colored lights across Denver sky. As I was outside with my telescope. an object with 4 lights, in a triangle shape quicky flew across the sky.
The four lights were colored 1 blue, 1 green, 1 red, 1 yellow. It made a (windy) sound as it went by. It seemed to go faster than an plane I've ever seen.

large, low flying object with two lights flying east over Hesperus, Co. We live in a rural area and the local airport is so small it does not have a tower. The largest planes that leave or come to this area are 'hopper' planes, which holds maybe 25-30 people.
At about 9:30 tonight my husband and I heard a loud noise which brought us running outside. Unfortunately, our eyes were not adjusted to the dark so we could not see the body of the object, which seemed to be cigar shaped. It was just over our house when we got outside and was very low to the ground, maybe 200 feet in the air.
There were two lights (reg. airplane sized) one above the other slightly tilted with the upper light being forward in the direction it was moving. It turned very slowly so that the lights were eventually horizontal to one another.
It was much too large to be a helicopter. I would say the size was about that of a large passenger plane. However, it did not sound like a passenger plane nor could one fly this slowly.
I had enough time to run into the house get the binoculars, turn off all of the lights and still watched it for another 10 minutes. It seemed to hover over the mountain for about 5 of those minutes. There was another small white light near it while it was hovering, and I thought it to be a small airplane.
(but now wish I'd given more thought to it while watching) It then seemed to land, but it may have just gone over the mountain and out of my line of view. My husband is a mechanical engineer and has studied and understands aircraft, he had no idea what this was.

Height of a helicopter, black, no noise, 5 lights from tip to each side end I looked up and it was quite, made no noise, it was hovering at the height of a helicopter, black in color, five lights from triangle tip to each bottom side. Length of a football field and about 50 plus yards across. Moved very slowly, like a car going 5 miles per hour.
Hovered slowly moving slowly over the top of a 4 story condo then disappeared after about 30 seconds because it moved out of view.

I do not care what you do with this, there has to be an explanation. First, I am a skeptic; I have given up on my childhood imagination to make things better than they appear. Secondly, I punched in UFO on Google and this is where I am.
I am somewhat disturbed by what has happened last night and on the way into work this morning I still feel disturbed. About 1930 hrs last night, I stepped out onto my back porch to check on the horses. Coming out of my door, I immediately noticed a plane with red and blue lights on the wings and that it appeared rather low flying, since most planes are at cruising altitude around my place.
As I looked just to the right of the East bound aircraft, I noticed a huge white light traveling in a Southerly direction. I said, “man these planes are going to collide,” I immediately yelled for my wife “come here now and quickly.” As she came out the back door I said “what is that” she said “that is a plane”, I said “no” pointing straight up “that is a plane, with the red and blue lights on the wings” (this was the plane the object I thought was going to collide with as it was just about over the house now.
) She freaked! I freaked and started shaking “no way, absolutely not.” Ok, I was not disturbed by the fact of a white light traveling (reflection from the sun, etc…); I was disturbed buy the fact of its speed and its ability to stop on dime. Now this stopping could be explained by my angle to this being about 50 degrees or so to me standing on the deck and could mean this object was climbing.
That it is explainable. However, I know what is off that deck out over the area during the day as much as I do at night. I am disturbed with the fact that as this object traveled and stopped traveled and stopped, traveled and stopped, it freaking disappeared! It was gone! Poof! I am a professional and cannot go around blabbing this off that I saw something that cannot be explained.
I feel better now that I have described this as it defies everything I have ever thought physically and mechanically possible. Do what you do with! this stuff – I do not care. Thanks for listening.
One other thing is that shortly after that incident about 4 minutes or so, another plane was on the same path at about the same altitude.

This object was definitely like nothing I have ever seen, and I observe the night sky nightly. The object was a bright silver blue light that was 45 degrees above the horizon. It traveled from west to east.
It was definitely not an airplane. I thought it was the space station. While I was inside getting binoculars, my 10 yr.
old daughter said that it turned reddish then disappeared. I have never seen that large and bright light in the sky. We watched the sky for several minutes after but did not see it again.
I think it was something entering earth's atmosphere.

Bright ball of light hovering, then 2 smaller ones darting around it I was driving and almost home when I saw something bright in the sky, at an altitude that would be typical of a helicopter. I didn't pay much attention at first, thinking it was probably an aircraft with the sun shining on it. I noticed over a 10 minute period that it was hovering and only moving slightly.
As I got closer, I realized it had no wings, tail, etc. Just a bright ball of light. I pulled over and watched it for another 5 minutes, when suddenly I saw 2 more appear from right behind it, and they were smaller but just as bright.
They started darting all around the bigger one like mosquitos! I came on home to get my telescope, but by the time I got situated, they were gone. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate. PD)).

Object disappeared after changing color I saw a black object to the East of my location moving in a southerly direction. It was appx. 10 degs.
above the horizon when first seen, climbing very rapidly at about a 30 deg. climb angel. It traveled about 20 degs south to about 30 degs above the horizon.
At this time the color changed from black to a tan or yellow color. Two secs. after it changed color it disappeared.

Colorado Springs has Bright Stationary Object(s) that were filmed for about 5 minutes. Then disapears. I have this event on tape, I cannot believe that this happened right under NORAD.
The same mountains. The tape I shot clearly depicts the mountains and craft(s) above it, not moving North to South or East. West is the Rockies.
The very bright object was extremly white, then changed shape to a square looking craft and changed colors from red, to blue-white. I showed this to my roommate so far. I have not contacted the military or media.
Norad would be embarrassed to find this craft close to its own location. This is not a plane, balloon, hellicopter, It is very strange and was there for about 5-6 minutes. The "thing" next to it was very strange.
Glowing type thing, smaller than the bright object and reflected (at times) from the other craft, it did change its position from the craft near the end of my filming. I really couldn't get the craft very well in focus, but in slow motion there are very strange events, designs, colors. Strangest thing I ever have seen.
No mention of this in last nights television. That too surprised me. ((NUFORC Note: Witness is forwarding film to our Center.

Triangle shaped, no lights, clear, like it was being cloaked, I could still make out the shape. VERY LARGE. Totally silent, very fast.
I went out to my vehicle to get my wife a pack of cigarettes, it was dark, very cold and a virtually cloudless sky. As I shut the door to my vehicle I looked up and immedialtely noticed what I first thought was a piece of clear plastic or cellophane floating or blowing in the sky. There was no wind and it was very calm.
As I watched it closer I noticed its form and was very shocked and exited by what I witnessed. It was way up there. It was huge, two or three football fields wide if not larger.
It was clear, I could see the stars right through it. I could see the shape of a triangle, it did not have lights on it, but I could could see the shape of what I thought was the front. The pointed end was facing in the direction it was traveling in.
It was absolutely silent. No sound at all. I lost sight of it.
I ran around to the other side of the house and was able to see it again. It started to move very fast-Several hundred miles an hour. As I was watching it I could tell it was some kind of craft.
The sky behind it seemed to get distorted. It was what I could only discribe as it was being cloaked. I ran down the block trying to keep sight of it.
The event lasted no more than half a minute. I did not imagine this event, nor am I making it up. I was totally sober.
I can not imagine this type of vehicle being of this planet. ((NUFORC Note: We spoke with the witness via telephone, and he seemed quite credible to us. He reported that there were no lights on the object.
PD)).

Like stars, but moving in different directions, then disappear. I was lying in my hot tub on my deck looking up at the stars. I noticed one appear from a black area and proceed moving southeast.
Then it suddenly turned sharply and moved to the west. Then it disappeared the same way it entered, like it suddenly turned its light out. I watched and saw more of these.
I saw 5 of them do this over a period of 15 minutes. Then a half hr. went by and no more sightings.
Then they started again and I counted 4 more before going back in the house. They moved around very high, much higher than the airplanes, and much faster, but slower than a satellite. They would either turn in a right angle, or like a boomerang angle.
They all remained in my "directly overhead" area when their light would appear, or go out. I am not a weird person. I have been the county health inspector here, and have previously been a "foot patrol" officer for the Breckenridge, CO police.
And I wasn't drinking or any other stuff. Thanks. I'll be adding another incident with a different date.
and a different "type" of event. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate. PD)).

silent craft followed highway My girlfriend and I were traveling from LA to Chicago. It was night time in Colorado (could have been Utah, it has been 9 years), but up above I saw a pattern of lights (craft) that was following the highway. After 10-20 minutes of seeing this craft, I pulled off the highway to get a better look.
We stopped my SUV and got out. The craft made no noise, and moved at a constant speed above. It was either the a blimp, or something else, I have never seen any air vehicle but a lighter than air craft move at that low an altitude and speed for that long.
The lights/craft continued to move in the same direction at a constant speed (following the highway) for about 45 min to an hour. Like stated above, it was either a blimp, or something unknown. It couldn't have been missed, and it was up there for quite some time.
I have always wondered if anyone but us saw this silent craft. I'd love to find out if there was any corroboration or if it was just a blimp following the highway. I am an amateur air enthusiast, and could identify most planes by sight.
This was nothing I was familiar with.

Color was yellow, red and it did not move in any direction,it just disappeared. In the photos you can see the moon,at the top of the photo. It is a little blurry in the scan picture,The Larger photos are from the telescope.
I had my camera checked, even though I was using two different cameras. The camera had no problems, I had these pictures taken to a camera shop, and looked at. The photo paper was good.
He did not know what it was,I even had a astronomer look at them he said it was ball lighting. So I went out last summer in a lighting storm and set my camera on time laps and all the photo had light streaks in them.

Backlit by the nearly eclipsed moon, my husband and I saw a dark, fuzzy boomeranged shaped object moving slowly. On the evening of Nov. 8, 2003, during the lunar eclipse, my husband and I were viewing the moon from our front yard with the naked eye.
The eclipse was nearly complete with just a sliver left of regular lunar reflection, around 6:40 Mountain Time. We both saw the boomerang shaped object which was backlit by the eclipsed moon. It appeared in the lower right-hand quadrant of the moon, slightly inward on the radius between the 6 and 5 o'clock positions and moving in a slight arch downward and out of the moon's light.
It took at least a minute to traverse this space. In size from side to side of its shape, we estimate it to be around 1/6 the moon's diameter. It was impossible to tell where in the viewing space the object could have been located.
It could have been anywhere in our upper atmosphere or in the space between the moon and ourselves as we viewed. The outline of the dark object was more fuzzy than starkly defined as well. After at least a full minute of viewing as the object moved extremely slowly, it disappeared into the surrounding blackness of the night sky.
Our atmospheric conditions on that night were absolutely crystal clear and we are located at above 7,000 ft. altitude. Could it have been an owl we saw backlit by the moon? The movement was archlike so it may be a possibility.
The lines were so diffuse around the edges of the object, however, and the shape of the object so consistently formed that we doubted an owl could have produced such an image. The curved longest side of the boomerang had an unnatural curvature totally unlike that of an owl's lines in flight and the speed was too slow to account for an owl's closer distance in our viewing field. Could it have been a plane? No, unless our government is working on a new class of secret boomeranged shaped craft.
Always a possibility. I am a former teacher and my husband owns his own business. We were clear of mind and had not imbibed any alcohol or altering substances.
We are in our late 40's.

Oval ufo speeding SE to NW About 11:15 p.m. (Checked my watch when I saw it) I was letting my dog out before turning in for the night.
I was standing facing due north but staring straight up watching the stars as I waited for the dog. Out of the corner of me eye I noticed an object "speeding" (faster than any jet) from the southeast to the northwest in a straight line. It was oval shaped, about the size of a pea held at arms length.
It was not brightly lit like a star, but had a dim glow, sort of close to what a flourescent light looks like at half strength before it flickers completely on. The color was brownish red. I almost thought it may have been a balloon, but the speed it was travelling at -against the wind, which was blowing the clouds around quite a bit at that time- and the straight line it travelled in, discounted that theory.
I also thought of the possibility of a goose, but I'm not sure they fly at night and would think if a goose belly would be that visible at night then so would its wings. It looked to be roughly several hundred feet in the air, though I'm not a good judge of altitude. I watched it for about a minute until it disappeared into the swirling clouds to the nw.
The entire incident was over with before I could have run inside to get a camera. The dog displayed no odd behavior, and after scanning the sky for a few minutes to see if there were any other objects, I went inside. Loveland CO is nestled just east the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
In town you might need to crane your neck to see the mountains over your neighbors roof or fence, but it's fairly close. The terrain is flat and grassy with sparse groupings of trees, so much of the sky is visible anywhere you might be.

Circular Orange object There were two (2) sphere-like objects, glowing an orange. They lit up over a mountain and then faded dark and reapeared many miles to the right and lit orange once again(about 3 seconds later), and faded. They then disappeared, possibly due unknown air craft approcing (possibly USAF).

Very strange whirring noises - about 3 minutes apart Very strange intermittent noises - kind of a whirring - then going away quickly. About 2-3 minutes apart in length. I at first looked up to see if there was an airplane in the sky - but the noise went away much too quicky to be an airplane.
I was outside smoking a cigarette and my five year old son had followed me. He kept asking me what that sound was, and his interpretation was that it was a volcano with hot lava :-) We heard it 7 or 8 times - and I finally decided to go in the house after not seeing anything. It sounded like something hovering and then speeding away real fast.
There was cloud cover but I didn't see any lights or anything. I have seen things on past occasions but just chalked it up basically to being crazy. I wish I would have taped these noises however.
