Hawaii UFO Sightings in 2003

The object was a slightly illuminated brownish/orange sphere, barely visible in the night sky. I work at the HNL international airport, while at work this particular evening something cought my eye in the night sky out towards the ocean. It was a slightly illuminated brownish/orange, sphere shaped object that wasent going anywhere.

It just hung there in mid air. Anyways I grabbed a set of binoculars that I carry with me in my truck and managed to focus on the object just as it started to move out towards the ocean and out of range. About 5 min later a streak of light shot across the sky coming from the direction the object went to and then disapeared into a cloud.

Unusal black round object manuevering strangely in afternoon sky near Pahoa-town. While riding as a passenger in a jeep going East on Highway 130 just past Hawaiian Paradise Park and looking off to the right towards the Southwesterly direction just past Pahoa Village at a big cloud formation.I noticed a black round object floating diagonally across the front of the cloud past a puka-hole in the cloud.

At first I thought it was like a "balloon" much, much larger than a child's balloon compared to the size of cloud and how I visually saw object. I am sorry I could not give approximate height since I am not knowlegable about estimating such! As I continued to observe object it descended in a zig-zag, stair-step fashion down to the west across front of cloud right to the very center and middle of the puka hole in the cloud holding steady. It did not appear like the marijuana eradication black helicopters here.

was not long shape and did not have rotors, just black and round. Seemed to high up in the sky and clouds to be a helicopter really. Then in just a few seconds time it zipped down from the puka-hole and off to the west past the cloud and completely disappeared and no longer visible in the cloud or sky.

This was rather startling as I expected to still be able to see it, whereas, it did a fast vanishing motion. I kept watch on the cloud and sky looking for it. Then totally unexpectedly it did reappear again from the east portion of the cloud, gradually coming out of the cloud and then fading back into the cloud.

This left me with a rather disturbing feeling. I know the viewing time was 4 minutes long as I timed it on my stopwatch. ((NUFORC Note: One of six, seemingly credible, reports submitted by same witness.

In Nov. 2003 my two friends and I saw 50 or so Fireballs It was a full moon that night when my two friends and I went down to the most Southen tip of the Big Island of Hawaii to practice our martial arts. The Sun had gone down and the Moon was on the rise it was very bright that night.

I had brought some glow sticks with me and I had tied them to the end of a 6'string, a red one and one blue, one at each end. I started to swing the string with light on it in circles around me, going from big circle to small ones, I did that for about 10 min. or so and my friend did the same for about the same amount of time.

We put the light sticks in my truck and we split up to do our own thing. I walked up to the top of a small hill thats was on the edge of the water, and when facing the water you would be facing South and if you turned 180 degrees you would be facing the volcano Mauna Loa and North. As I go to the top and looked up towards the volcano I saw what looked like a couple police lights (red and blue) come toward us very fast I watched them for a few min.

trying to figure out what they were. After afew min I ran over to one fo my friends who was just 50 yards down the hill from me and told him that I thought the Police were on there way over to see what we were up to. My friend said that maybe they think we were UFOs and that someone had probably seen us swinging thoughs lights around and called in.

So I walked back up the hill to get a better look but the lights were gone. I looked back to the ocean for a few more min and when I turned back around I saw my other friend had gotten out the lights again and was swinging them around and instead of just two police lights there were now 10 police lights come from the mountain, as I watched in amazement more and and more light started apearing. I ran back to my friend and told him he had to come see the lights.

We saw now 50 lights, forming a large circle about 200 yards away. The three of us watched and I tried to videotape it but only got a few minutes. It was nighttime and I couldn't tell if it ! was working,but I did get something.

I decided to walk towards the lights, swinging my light sticks around my head. I got to within 50 yards and could see the lights moving in the trees. It was very disconcerting.

I turned around and ran back to my friends and told them it was too scary, they had to come too. We walked towards the lights, to within 20 yards and they appeared to take the shape of trucks backing out and pulling around. One of my friends said, "They're just trucks.

" My other friend said, "yes, they kind of look like trucks." At that moment I turned around and heard a sound behind me, and when I turned back around my friends were gone, the lights were gone, and I was 1 1/2 miles from where I had been standing. I looked at my watch and about 20 minutes had passed.

I was disoriented and could not remember where my truck was, so I just headed towards the water to find it. When I got back my friends weren't there, so I went to the hill to see if I could see them, and waited for another 20 minutes or so before they appeared, coming from the opposite direction from where we had been. When I ran down to them and asked them if they were trucks, they both said, "They weren't trucks.

" They had run into the middle of the lights and said the last thing they remembered was the lights swirling around them, and then they were 1 1/2 miles from where we were in the opposite direction from where I had gone. We stuck around for another hour and the lights came and went, but never as many as the height of the experience. I know I left out some stuff but that's basically it.

I was looking up at the sky slightly northward hoping for a glimpse of the aurora due to recent high solar flare activity when I noticed a large very dimly glowing round object silently moving across the sky in an east to west direction. It was barely discernable because it's glow was so dim, but it looked much larger than I would expect any craft that high up to be. If my estimate of its height was in error it should not have been so dim or silent.

I see planes in the sky all the time because I live near the Honolulu airport and I have even seen many helicopters in the night sky flying without their lights on, so it was startling to see something so very different in the sky. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate. PD)).

I thought it was a star as it flickered between white and red. My husband and I were on our way to Phoenix from Honolulu. As our plane leveled off I looked outside of my window and saw what I believed at first to be a bright star, possibly Mars as it would flicker between white and red.

About two minutes passed and I looked outside the window again and saw the same star at the same distance as i had seen it prior. I put my glasses on to see if instead of a star it could be another plane also flying in the same direction as it seemed to be keeping the same pace with our plane. At that time the pilot had put on the seat belt light.

I didn't know why as there was no turbulence at this time. i couldn't quite make out whether it was another plane or a star. it wasn't above or below but ahead and to the left of the plane and eye level.

a few more minutes passed and suddenly the object seemed to make a sharp right as though it was about to fly in front of our plane. At first i thought that maybe the plane had veered left that would account for this shape to seem as though it was going to the right, but i had been on airplanes numerous times to know how it feels when a plane veers left or right. Maybe it's nothing but if someone else saw this i would appreciate it if they would report it.

As I lay on the beach not far from waikiki I noticed a small round object way up near the clouds to my left over diamond head crater,as I kept my eye on it I watched it siowly Drift over my position, more out towards the ocean. At this angle I could see that there were more objects behind it at higher altitudes, one group of spheres formed a triangle. At this point I could count nine white spheres each being higher than the other except for the group of three that formed the triangle (they seemed to be at the same altitude).

The object that cought my eye to begin with, the one closest to the ground seemed to be spinning. These objects maintained there formation and just drifted west at about the same pace as the clouds. The skys were mostly clear with some clouds and a light breeze.

After I thought it was all over more would appear, at one point an airplane flew near one, I wondered if the crew saw the object. As we were leaving two more objects drifted over head and another behind them, again from the skys over diamond head crater.

My wife and I were on our honeymoon and I was out running on the beach very early in the morning. I stopped to stretch and look at the stars sometime between 3:00 and 3:30 a.m.

I believe. I was looking out toward the west (slightly south) above the ocean as we were staying in Lahaina. Suddenly one star flared brightly and decended.

If I put my hand about a foot in front of my face and spread my index and thumb fingers apart I'd say the object fell down about 4 1/2 inches. It then turned toward the left. The turn was a curved (not sharp) 90 degree turn.

Also, the speed of both the fall and the turn was fairly constant. It was brightest at the bottom of the fall and during the turn. It then ascended straight up again and slowly faded in brightness to about the size of a star or satellite.

It then proceeded on a straight course over my head and past the hotel behind me as if it were a normal satellite. While it passed over head I observed only a straight course with no turns and the speed stayed fairly constant. I've read other reports and comments by investigators about "iridium" satellite flashes.

I'd like to know exactly what those are in case that might be it. However, from my vantage point it clearly looked as if it "fell" into the atmosphere, veared off to the left, and then rose out of the atmosphere. I don't know of any commercial aircraft or even space craft that can currently do that, but wouldn't be surprised to know that our military might have something like that.

incredable speed my company that i worked for sent me to work at pearl harbor, i work for the shipyard im a welder, well anyway i got up about 3:30 am i made some coffee, and i went to the balcony to see the weather,as i was looking up I saw a very bright light in the sky and the night sky was so clear i could see far, but this object was not far, if there was low clouds it would be there at that height,as i watched comeing from north to south it looked as if it was skipping on water, i looked blurry from some reason but only around the object, Then all of a sudden it just stop dead in its track, as if it hit a wall,then a few seconds later it just shot straight up at 45degree angle and I watched it fly at amazeing speed,going straight to space ,and i cannot get this image out of my head cause the speed was incredabile speed, about a minute later comeing from the south my eye caught another light comeing , but i thought it was just a plane until it got closer and it looked as if it was bounceing on water,going north and I thought "it looked like the other one was getting out of the way, weird" it pass me, on the same path as the other one but in oppisite dierection, and i watched it until i could not see it no more, the it was comeing it looked like it was flying from across the islands straight out to sea. (i have had many sightings before this).

Roundish object discovered in picture of five F-15 fighters flighing over Napali Coast. I took a picture of five F-15s at approximately 12:53 AM Hawaii Time, as they passed over the Napali Coast, just north or east of the Naval Missle range. The jets had made a couple of passes through the area and this was their last pass.

At approximately 1:14 PM, a missle was launched from the nearby range for testing. After returning home, I discovered that a small round ovject also appeared in the picture.

I had just received my new digital camera and was on my way to work in Lahaina, i took some shots of the mountian on on way, when i returned home that night i down loaded the pics and noticed a speck in the cloudes almost straight up from the L on the side of the mountain on this one pic, as i enlarged it i relized i didn't know what it was, i have shown it to a few people and no ones knows, i've taken pics of helicopters and planes and even hangilders and birds also and have enlarged them as well, and they are easy to see what they are, anyway i saw your sight on the Peter Jennings report, if you could have a look and just give me your opinion that would be very nice of you, thanks.((name deleted)) ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date of the event is approximate, elects to remain totally anonymous. possible anamolous object on TV show I recently had an incredible sighting while on vaction that I did not report and I am not reporting here. Since that time I have been even more vigilant and today I think I saw something that may be worthy of a quick investigation. I was watching The National Geographic Channel, Expedition Journal: "In the cold light of day".

Towards the end of the program, (I was flipping through the channels and did not watch the whole thing) a photograper who was being profiled on the show was charged by a musk ox he was photographing near the seaside. In the next scene as the narrator speaks about photographing subjects under all conditions, 2 men are shown walking down a country road. Something is moving in the sky very discreetly.

It happened very quickly and I didn't tape it, so for all I know it may be an airplane or bird or cloud. But my gut tells me it may be a good UFO shot. Please let me know if I can help in any other way.
