Round flying object travelling slowly with lights around the bottom I was travelling by car down the Wampanoag Trail, East Providence, RI, towards Seekonk, MA, and looked up and saw a round object with lights all around the bottom of it travelling slowing high in the air towards my direction in the distance. I stared up at it and saw one person sitting in the front through what looked like a window area. I saw a large steering wheel like that of what we have in a car or truck.

The person had both hands of the steering wheel of the circular craft. It was travelling slowly above but towards my direction. It had lights all around the bottom of it.

At first I thought it was a round, man made, blimp with lights around it, but was not sure. I kept looking up at it as I drove forward down the Wampanoag Trail. As it continued to head towards my direction, I began to get scared and my heart started beating very fast and I was about to make a decision as to whether I should turn my car around and head in the opposite direction away from it.

I stopped my car for a moment and looked around and I was the only one on both sides of the highway. As I was about to turn my car around, I looked up again and the person operating the blimp or whatever it was, looked over the steering wheel and down at me and I think he realized I was afraid, so I saw him look over the steering wheel down at me and he then turned the steering wheel in front of him and the round floating objection turned around and headed slowly in the opposite direction towards Seekonk, MA. I thought this was probably a blimp or a manmade craft with lights around the bottom of it.

If this flew at night, someone might just see the lights around the bottom of it and think it was a UFO. It might have been, but I thought it was a man made blimp like round object with lights around the bottom of it. I did not report it to the police because it turned around and headed out of site over Seekonk, MA and I thought it might have been a round blimp with lights around the bottom of it.

I know the difference because my cousin and I saw a real UFO around 1968 while driving on the highway in Portmouth, RI which I have already reported at this site. That one was nothing of this world, it was a bright luminous tilted circulor object hovering over the water. It moved sideways over the water and was to the right over our car.

I looked up at it from my car window. It was tilted, luminous, sauser shaped and had a haze like ring around it and it was just moved sideways over the water and stopped up in the air to the right above our car. I looked to the right through the car windwo up at it and saw it in close proxsimity and it was disc shaped, tilted luminous with a hazy ring around it like the planet Saturn.

It did not look like it was made of anything of this world. It then suddenly shot in an instant across the hemosphere to the other side of the sky over the water. But I wanted to report this because there may be some man made blimps or flying objects also shaped round with lights around the bottom of them and I did see this about 3 or 4 months ago.

3 arrow shaped objects brown in color flying in a triangular formation moving very quickly As i was looking up at the sky, stargazing 3 arrow shaped objects flying very closely in a triangular formation flew directly over me on a right to left angle. They traveled very quickly, and if I was to guess I would say at least 2000mph and maybe around 2 to 5 miles up. They went right over providence airport and were a dull brown in color and made no noise.

Also, there were no lights visible and it was a crystal clear night. The body and the (wings)were proportionally the same size. All 3 parts of each craft were the same color.

Almost like if you put 3 pencils on a table and made an arrow shape. The 3rd craft on right rear flank strayed off slightly to right towards the end of the sighting. Also, A collegue of mine spotted 3 lights on the same night around an hour earlier but was driving around 15 miles north of me towards my direction.

Flew 50 feet in air, one after another, came back towards us, and then went back into the opposite direction. I was walking down the street near the EWG, north kingstown border with my friend late at night. We were walking from another friends house back to his house.

It must have been 11pm to 1am. It was a few months ago, i don't remember the date. 3 circles of lights flashed through the sky, extremly fast, and low.

About 50 feet in the air. They did not go in a triangle pattern. They flew one after another.

Then they came back towards us, as we ran into the woods. Then they went back into the other direction. It was the strangest thing i have ever seen in my entire life.

We ran back to my friends house. Two weeks later the same friend and I were in the same area walking a friend back to her house. My friends ran ahead of me, and i saw the lights by myself.

On the way back to our house, both my friend and I saw these lights again, but they only flew over us once.

Saw Disc about 40 ft from me, helicopters came and picked it up. I was in the woods and I saw a single helicopter circling, this went on for about 2 hours. Two additional helicopters showed up and they were shining their lights on the ground, while the first helicopter cirlced above, this went on for about 4 hours.

Then I saw a disk come through the trees. It went up and down about 40 ft from where I was standing and it was hovering and kind of slanted. Then the disk went back into the woods.

A fourth helicopter showed up (a military type) and landed. It was there about two hours and then it took off and the disc was gone.

A bright orange light. Moved awkwardly up and down as it traveled across the sky.Like a fireball at one point then suddenly moves At first there was just one bright light that closly resembled a planet that was really close though and more of an orangy color than a white color.

Suddenly after being still for a few minutes the object moved backwards quickly, did a circle, moved to the left and started to become more distant. The object moved away awkwardly. It was moving up and down.

Really weird. Later, we saw 5 of them they were further away then the one seen before. They were all on the same side of the sky, as well.

THey resembled stars even more. They were still for a bit then one by one or two at a time they started moving away to the right, all in the same direction. As they moved they did not travel straight they moved up and down slightly as the one before did as well.

These objects were definitely not planes, because there were planes in the sky and they moved and looked very different. Plus, planes do not move up and down and do weird loop-d-loop things, nor do they stand still for a few minutes then move rapidly away. I swear this is true I am not even one to totally believe in UFO's.

It was so weird. Oh and at one point it was like a fireball, and was stationary, then suddenly would start moving away and didn't look like a fireball anymore but more like a plane, but obviously different. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information.

Red and Green blinking aircrafts flying fast and low My boyfriend and I were walking outside to my car around 10 pm when we saw in the sky a large aircraft flying low and moving quickly. It was blinking red and green lights very brightly. We found it strange and continued watching.

We noticed that there were many more (apprx 6 others) flying at farther distances all going in different directions. We could tell they were moving incredibly quickly because there was a normal plane in the sky and the strange blinking crafts flew straight past it (we thought they were going to crash) and was out of our sight range in a matter of seconds. There was even one or two large crafts (flying low and quickly) that had a strobe light effect and were incredibly bright.

We are sure about what we saw and we found it very strange.

Bright stationary amber light then fading out Amber circle of light, very bright, stationary just above the horizon, viewed several miles away to the north of our location on the ocean's edge, by myself and my friend. We thought at first it was a plane's headlight coming straight toward us but realized that it was stationary in that part of the sky; an odd light due to brightness and amber color. As we watched it for several minutes it slowly began to fade to a barely visible point of light, not moving from that location.

At that time my friend said she saw an arc of light in that same area and afterwards a fast up and down shaft of light lasting a second. I was scanning the sky elsewhere so I didn't see what she saw. There were other traveling lights in that same area but they looked like far-off planes; the sky was very clear.

We could not come up with any explanation for what we saw other than a UFO.

Possible correlation to South Kingston sighting of 28 Feb This report is in relation to the report of a chevron over South Kingston, RI on 28 Feb 06. While returning home from my daughters horse lessons, I noted two lights to the west that seemed to be standing still. From my vantage point on Browns Lane, I have an unrestricted view of Narragansett bay, Portsmith Island, and South Kingstown.

I often see lights from aircraft in this area that are heading into T.F. Green or Quonsett airport.

What made these lights stand out was the fact that they didnt appear to move and they appeared to be at the same altitude. The distance between the two lights appeared to be maybe a hundred yards, and did not have the staggard appearance of distance that aircraft in a landing pattern do. Having read the report of 28 Feb, I can also add that these lights would have been in the direction of the area that the report came from at a distance of abot 10 miles.

Sighing lasted about 10 to 13 seconds before a curve in the road obscured my view.

Huge chevron or triangular craft with two large white circular lights While a few miles from my home, in the village of Perryville in South Kingstown, at the intersection of post road and rt.110 I saw a gigantic chevron or possible triangular craft moving very slowly in a ENE direction. What caught my immediate attention were two huge non-flashing round yellow-white lights, not bright, spaced an enormous distance apart.

I then noticed a black shape and then a small flashing green light in the center of this craft. I stopped my truck and got out. The craft made no noise at all and kind of drifted sideways in the ENE direction until I lost it in the tree tops.

I would say it was no more than 500ft in the air on a perfectly clear starlit night. I drove back out on to rt.1 to see if the craft were still visible but it had apparently drifted north away from rt.

1. I circled around and came back but could not see the craft again. I called the South Kingstown police, asking if anyone else had reported the sighting but they said "no.

" They did take my report seriously and thanked me for the info. The dispatcher asked if anything was dropped from the craft and I said not that I saw. I would say that the craft was as big as a football field or two 747s.

North Kingstown RI odd sighting This is going to sound a bit odd. OK, alot odd. I was traveling north on Rt.

1 last night at about 9 PM in North Kingstown, RI just past Oak Hill Road but south of the Exeter exit, when I saw what looked like two very bright lights on the west side of the road (about 100 or so yards off the to the north and west. As I approached, I realized the lights were standing still. I slowed way down in my right lane to get a better look because as I passed the bright white lights, there were about ten neon blue strips of lights in triangular and pentagon shapes just hanging there in mid air above the trees but back into the woods.

I started to pull off the road to get a better look but I was A) shocked at what I saw and had a little bit of fear B) concerned that the cars behind me would be staring at the same thing and would rear-end my car instead of watching the road and C)I didn't want to be late to pick up my daughter from the movies in Warwick. As a result I only got a 15-20 second close look at this "thing". I found it odd that only about 2-300 yards away there was the usual police officer parked on the south side of the road looking for speeders and he obviously didn't see anything (but he was facing north looking for the cars.

I went back with my daughter hoping it was still there and that there was a logical explaination but there was nothing there when my daughter and I returned about 9:55pm. Anyway, I was wondering if any of the other drivers reported anything to explain this VERY UNUSUAL Phenomena. P.

S.- I'm a physician with a scientific background. This souds as odd to me as it probably does to you.

They appeared as stars and then they moved. This is the second time this has occured. I witnessed this aproximately the same time in the morning last time.

Both times I woke my husband because I couldn't believe my eyes. They orginally looked like stars. I thought because it was windy that the trees were making these 5 stars move.

However I went upstairs and these stars were in view way above the tree line. These stars? Moved!?! They moved up down and side to side ever so slightly. The closer I looked at one and stared I could see below the light a blinking red light.

One of them looked like it was a plane on its'typical flight path to the ocean, but then it stopped. I even witnessed another red blinking light flying to each of these 5 moving stars. I thought that it was perhaps an airplane from quonset checking these out for the government, but then it went away.

It was a sighting that was in great length and wasn't brief. My husband tha I awoke said it was a star, but then I made him stare and watch, and then he was freaked. We see many airplanes and stars on our 5+ acres, but this definitely wasn't either.

It was quite frightening. He didn't want me to watch anymore because we didn't want to invite any danger.

It was being chased by a plane! This object was a sort of tear drop, a pewter color that was shining into my eyes. I had just gotten really wasted and had had an orgy so that is why i had two other people watching. The craft was moving east toward the rising sun and it looked like it was running away from a plane.

Bright light fades to nothingness As I drove on my street heading home I noticed a very bright light in the SW sky, not very high up. It was, perhaps, 4 times the brightness of Venus. Since planes are often seen in that part of the sky I reckoned it was a plane heading for Green Airport in Warwick, RI.

But as I watched the bright yellowish-white light it faded out to a tiny point of white light and disappeared. It did not change its position. It faded out into nothing.

There were no landing lights, only this one extremely bright whitish light. I estimate that it was from 2 to 5 thousand feet in the air. I see planes regularly coming from the SW toward Warwick but this was not a plane or a star or anything else I can think of.

I watch the skies often for UFOs and am reporting this as it is enough out of the ordinary to warrant it a UFO.
