Spherical object at great height moving at high rate of speed from south to north I am a freight pilot and my route takes me from Reno to Elko, NV. On the 29th of December at approximately 1400 hrs. local, I was leaving the FBO and walking to my plane.

The day was severe clear and crisp. There were a few contrails crossing and nothing else. I saw one of the linemen, looking up at the sky.

I asked what he was looking at and he directed my eyes to an object so high up it seemed to be against the blue of the sky. The object looked like the ball at the end of a pushpin held at arm's length. It was the color of quicksilver and looked perfectly spherical.

It was moving from south to north and we saw it pass behind a number of contrails; some of which had to be in the FL400 range. One more lineman came out to see the object and we observed it move north for about 15 minutes all told. In the end, it simply vanished and we could not locate it anymore.

I think whatever it was had to be huge to appear that size to me. The object didn't shimmer, shine or give off any sort of light. I've no idea what it could have been.

shiny spherical object accompanies jet leaving McCarran airport. I have been reluctant to report this, because my wife and I recently reported a sighting at our home in Arizona. (previous report, 12/04/06, apache junction, az).

I am 61, never saw anything like this before, now 2 in 3 weeks. Anyway, my wife and I were at our son's house in Henderson with some other family members for Christmas, and about 8 am I stepped out in the back yard to smoke. I was watching the planes going in and out of McCarran.

The east bound jets mostly went directly overhead. I saw one of these jets, headed east, that was accompanied by another object, which was directly under the jet, travelling at exactly the same speed and direction. It might have been about 100 feet under the jet.

It was very shiny, and did not have any wings. It was simply a sphere. It looked like it kept a constant distance from the jet.

I had a very clear view of the object and the plane, and comparing its size to that of the jet, I would guess it was maybe 20 ft in diameter. My wife and 2 other people came outside, and they all 3 saw the same thing.

Triangular Object over Mustang, Nevada Ok this did not take place in Silver Springs Nevada, However I was on my way home from work. I worked in Reno at the time and lived in Silver Springs. I am Using Silver Springs cause its the closest zip to the area I know of.

now I just came upon your site or I would have posted this on the date of occorrance. I was heading East bound Hiway 80, I saw a strange shape and looked harder. Three lights in a triangular form was just hovering over the back part of the mountain looking south towards the old Mustang Ranch area (No Joke) I am an aviation expert Due to my military training and rate (job).

I know that every known aircraft over north america is to have anti-collision lights this had no such flashing strobes on, I pulled off in a frienzy and amazement bout 1 block from the Chevron stn. there. There were 2 men ready to tow a rig that had broken down.

i went up to them saying "tell me i am NOT seeing things. I pointed one gentalman excaimed "Good Jesus!" the other either sceptical or not wanting to be called a nut said ahh thats a pasenger jet. I pointed at a passing by to the left of the craft Southwest airliner going to Reno i said "THAT is an airliner it has anti-collision lights, this does not!" we just stared at it in aw.

all i can say is put your pointer middle and second to your pinky fingers out like your signaling a "3" hold them out and slowly rotate them immaging the tips of your fingers the orange lights rotating thats what this was doing. for about 3-4 mins then its lights went dim never saw it after that. I do believe it was military I know this because my job for a brief time was testing the new unmanned flying wing that landed on the USS John C.

Stennis in 2003. This i wish to say for all you disbelievers. Yes a pilot would become mush if it did the manuvers people claim they see in OUR dimention.

But remember there ARE many other PROOVEN dimentions out there. ask yourself this. How exactly were these rumors of other dimentions prooven? Think Hard, dont blow a vessle though.

Cylinder shaped object was illuminated inside, contained figures within and left at the speed of light. My Wife and I were traveling between Las Vegas and Beatty Nevada. As we were traveling north on route 95, we were driving about 60 mph and I observed a stationary light on the west side of the highway, about the height of one of the large powerline towers.

I thought to myself a powerline must cross the road there, and it was lighted for aircraft. We were talking and driving, and as I approached where the light was (I could not see it without leaning foward and looking up) I noticed there was not a electical powerline tower there. It was odd, and I leaned foward and looked up (as did my wife).

We both observed a cylinder shaped object, about as long as a city bus suspended in air. There was a window across the cylinder, and the window appeared to be at a 45 degree angle downward facing towards us. There appeared to be a panel of somekind the entire length of the window.

There were figures seated at the panel across the length of the object, and what app! eared to be several figures standing behind them. My wife and I both got the feeling the figures inside the objects were looking at us. The interior of the object was illumintated, and we could see clearly inside.

As we passed, we were both surprised because the object appeared to be suspended in air. I asked her if she wanted to turn around and go back, and she said yes. I found a place to complete a U turn, and as we approached the object from the north a hundred yards away, it "streaked off" in a southeastern diretion towards Las Vegas, on an horizontal plane.

It rose abrubtly over a mountain, and then downward over the top.and disappeared. From the time it started south, to when it disappeared was within a couple of seconds.

There was no noise as we passed by it, or as it left the area.

Orange and Red object seen from Gardnerville Nevada 12/01/06. 6 Witnesses in Nevada/California At 21:10 I was driving home and as I looked left at an intersection, I saw a bright orange light with a section of red. It was in the south east of my location, and it was headed northwest.

I proceeded the short distance home, grabbed my Steiner binoculars and looked at it. There were no FAA lights on this thing (no red or green blinkers). Not knowing the physical demension, I could not estimate the altitude it was at.

There was no sound. I awoke two different neighbors, one being a past pilot and aerospace engineer. Neither could I.

D. the thing. It started a very slow arc to the west, and then south west.

When I lost it over the Sierra Nevada mountain range, I decided to call a friend in Brentwood, (northern)California to see if he could spot it. I explained where he should look when he went outside his home. As he took the phone outside, he saw it.

Still headed in a south by southwest direction, and appearing very large. He awoke two of his neighbors, and his own family to witness the sighting. When I ended my call to him at 22:16, it was still visible to him.

Blue Orb sighted from Las Vegas, over Area 51 Mountain Range, traveling at incredible speeds. I consider myself a sane, common knowledged person, with some experience in aviation and military aircraft. I fly often and have seen every commercial aircraft as well.

I have witnessed flares used in military training exercises, I have seen reflections of lights off clouds and windows (glass). I was an amateur astronomer and have seen everything from meteorites to the space shuttle in orbit. I have seen hundreds of satellites.

While I have witnessed other very impressive UFO's with multiple witnesses, this was different from all the rest. I have never officially reported a UFO Sighting until now. I was looking from the 20th floor of the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas towards the direction of Area 51.

I was also overlooking the Las Vegas Airport late at night, as I usually do when I visit that city. Suddenly out in the distance, beyond the mountain range a "BLUE ORB" rose into the sky at an unbelievable speed, it did not travel in a straight direction at any time, it continued to fly erratically throughout the hour I stayed awake to watch it. This BLUE ORB would rise to, my guess 50,000 feet, and dive back behind the mountain range within seconds.

The speed of this object far exceeded any military plane I have ever seen and could not begin to imagine that it was a manned vehicle. It did appear to fly within a limited range and distance, as it did not approach the city, nor did it seem to fly far into the distance, but rather kept its location above and beyond the Nevada mountain range. Furthermore, as planes could be seen approaching from the distance, this BLUE ORB would disappear behind the mountains.

I felt as if "it" was being tested with caution. What I mean is the orb would disappear when a commercial airplane was near and the orb would reappear when the skies were clear of visible traffic. I'm confident the skies above our US testing sights are secure, and air traffic above them is forbidden.

This object had no defined shape other than a Blue Ball of Light. It did not flash, it did not change color, it made no noise I could hear, IT DID FLY AT INCREDIBLE SPEEDS. IT MOVED BOTH IN "S" PATTERNS AS WELL AS STRIGHT AND ERRATIC.

IT WOULD SOMETIMES STOP SUDDENLY, HOVER AND DIVE, AND SOMETIMES IT JUST DARTED AROUND SOMEWHAT UNCONTROLLABLY. WHILE I WAS FASCINATED, THIS ORB WAS COMING NO CLOSER AND I FELT THAT WHAT I SAW WAS ALL I WOULD SEE. I DID CONTACT HOTEL SECURITY IN THE MORNING AND THEY TOLD ME THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.

Of course, I did not have my video camera and I stand alone as an Eye Witness. Thanks for listening.

flames in the night sky The date and time are approx as this occured about 5 years ago, I was returning to my home in Las Vegas NV from Rachel NV in the evening and thought i would stop by the infamous black mail box at the junction of highway 375 and groom lake road to do some satellite watching, i parked on the south east corner of the intersection facing north,as it was cold outside i remained in my truck with a jacket on, about one half hour later looking to the north west there appeared what i can only describe as a fire in the sky,by that i mean it looked like flames from a camp fire suddenly erupting in the sky for about 4 seconds and then went out, i would say it was approx 5 miles away and maybe 1000 feet in the air,it left no smoke and there was no sound, im 65 years old and and have watched the night sky for most of my life,ive been a pilot since 1966 and a licensed a&p mechanic since 1972, i have worked on everything from cessna 120s thru dc-10s and retired from a major airline after 35 years as an aircraft mechanic, ive seen iridum flares,shooting stars, the iss, satellites,ect and nothing i know can explain what i saw ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. Reno, NV Green Spherical Luminous Object over Reno ((address deleted)) Blvd. Had just entered 395 highway going south. At the same time I began to notice an object entering my field of view from the left, my friend pointed towards it and said "What is that?".

I saw a distinct green circular shape moving at an extremely high speed from the Northeast to a Southwest direction. It appeared the object was descending, but this could have been an illusion. It appeared it was low, approx.

500-1000 ft. (If I held a ruler up in front of my eyes the object would have measured about 1/4" in diameter). There was no sound, like a military jet travelling at high speed might make.

I could not be sure if what I was seeing was propulsion from a craft or not. It was dark and I could not see any shape other than the large green circle. I would estimate it traveled at least 4 miles in about 3 seconds as I had a view of the whole Reno valley.

It was moving much more rapidly than I would expect an civilian or government aircraft (planes or helicopters) to be traveling at. After about six seconds, with the object heading toward the Sierra Mountain range, it suddenly and abruptly disappeared, like it simply just blipped out.

very brght white-bat wing shape-stationary 10-15 mins. then gone Bright white bat wing shaped, size of small passenger (lear) jet-stationary 10-15 minstried to get a photo-my cell phone-too small in the distance on phone to see clearly- went into house to get my reading glasses to see photo-15-30 seconds-came out and it was nowhere to be seen in the sky- I looked all over- it must have been fast. White Balls and Bright Light in the Vegas moring sky. On October 15, 2006 at around 8:30 am , with a clear blue morning sky, I was sitting outside facing north and looked west and saw an object at about 45 degrees that looked like 5 round white balls in a row, east to west, one on top of the other, with a bright white light below them but not attached to them. The lower ball would dart in and out of line, from left to right (south to north), then would get back in line.

At first I thought that it must be balloons, skydivers or planes but they didn't move in the sky. After about 10 minutes of watching, the bright light below the balls started moving away from them to the west. At this time I went inside to get my camera but I am very slow moving because of a broken leg.

By the time I hobbled back with the camera the round objects had moved higher up about 90 degrees and had moved south and the bright light below them was gone. They moved higher and further south slowly. I tried to take some photos with my Kodak Easy Share C340.

The objects stayed in straight east to west line and got higher in the morning sky and moved further south until they were just a small bright white dot in the blue sky until they I could no longer see them.

Three Fireballs in the Las Vegas sky flying in formation then becoming one fireball. Just before sunset on this particular evening I was sitting on the balcony of the Knights Inn airport hotel in Las Vegas located at 5100 Paradise Rd. (The day of the this report is approximate as it has been many years ago) As I looked into the West, I noticed at roughly 40 degrees above the horizon what appeared to be three fireballs in the sky.

They appeared pretty far away. I would guess from where I was they must have been between 5 to 10 miles away. I studied them carefully and determined that they were not any type of man made aircraft I am aware of.

I work for the airlines and I am familiar with aircraft of many kinds in various types of weather and lighting conditions and have never seen anything like this before. They literally looked like balls of fire floating in the sky. During this sighting the fireballs would fly in formation left and right at low speed, then separate and fly apart from one another then all come together and form one ball of fire.

I was sitting in my back yard talking to a friend on the phone. The night was dark, the moon was just over the west mountains and was only giving off a little light because it was just a sliver. I looked up and there was a black wing directly over head moving at what seemed to be maybe 50-60 miles per hour.

I could see the whole shape of the wing as it passed over. It was headed west. It seemed small, maybe the size of a small airplane and it seemed low maybe 200 or 300 feet above the homes.

My first impression was it was a hang glider. The wing had no lights and made no sound. I was only able to watch it for 3 or 4 seconds; as it moved away from me I saw the back of the craft and then it simply blended into the night.

Moving Star-Type lights In the Sky My children and I just witnessed something strange. We were just getting to sleep when I noticed a light that was blinking through the 3 broken slats in one of our vertical blinds. I asked my son and daughter (ages 7 and 5 respectively) if they could see anything and they said yes they could see some "blinking lights".

At first I thought "oh how nice, clear night - stars twinkling".then something really odd happened. Nothing an airplane would do.

One of the "blinking stars" started ascending in a sort of zig-zag pattern then went to the left (Note: we were looking over the range Mount Charleston is on, perhaps North East, more to the East then North). Then two more did the SAME thing. I had to open the blind more and my kids saw the other lights do this sort of "zig-zag" movement and they gasped.

I told them I was going outside to look (they did not want me doing that!) and so I did, just to prove to myself I wasn't looking at some lasers or whatever on my window. Sure enough, there they were, the blinking lights, now a couple of them moving here and there. They are STILL outside the window.

My kids are not happy about this for some reason. I've never known them to feel scared about stars or lights before. I think it was HOW they were moving, these "dancing light-stars" or whatever the heck they were.

I don't know of any airshows in the area and it was like, they were moving about sort of like how you move a push pin around a map, that's how I can somehow explain it. Odd, isn't it? This is not a joke. And my kids do NOT want to snuggle with Mommy in her room at this point.

I wish I had a camera but I don't know what I could point out other then "moving stars" on a video. I wonder if anyone else in the are saw them too. Thank you for letting me share.

boomerrang V -shaped object ,very large at height but close enough to distinguish that it was not commercial nor militaryas my experi !st let me say I am very aware of all known military aircraft as well as commercial as it has been a hobby interest of mine for many years. Im 49 yeas of age and I have live very close to Nellis afb for the past 15 years. Within the past 5 years I have been a regular night sky watcher .

While things have been real slow the past 2 years ,it certainly was not the case 3-4 years ago . But I still take time to view at least once or twice a week .That being said , While laying on my back looking and scanning skyward ( I use nite vision due to so much light pollution here and I have managed to darken the street lamps around my location ) expecting at best to view a few satellites or un explained light movements since it is extremly hard to distinguish shape and form at the usual distance I encounter as I work the sky in quadrants I was totally taken back when from the NNE I caught the outline of a V shape closing in.

At that initial distance I thought it was a repeat of the diamond formation of four indivisual craft That I viewed 3 years earlier ,As it became closer I realized it was a single craft, very large, how large I cannot say as I had no reference pointsbut easily seen with scope sillouetted against a las vegas night sky . B-2 was a quik second guess as it had more ov a delta shspe but this was quickly elimanated as it passed directly overhead it was more delta shaped leaning more to a boomerrang -V shaped another thing that i found aerodynamically strange was one side being slightly more elongnated than the other, there seem to be darker pod shapes under each side (wing??) still no lights and no sound and no contrails of any kind and was not on a glide slope of any kind as it was definitly under its on power. Also never has there been any commercial traffic use this path that I can recall in all my years here .

Its speed seem to be at a pretty good clip my guess is at least 400 knots but hard to say as I had very little reference points as to size, height only that it covered f! rom my i nitial sighting which was approx 20 deg above the north horizen (darker sky & better viewing) to where I lost sight as it approached the more lit up sky over the strip approx 11 mi away in about 40 to 45sec . Ive seen many strange sights in the late nite early morning skies here bbut not much to speak of in the 2 years until this nite .And it was good enough to make me want to write this and send for the first time .

I have seen some interesting things with multible sightings on many occasions here and would gladly elaborate if interested fill free to contact me via email ((e-address deleted)).

2 silver spheres that dissepeard and came back all the time keeping the same posistion over mojave desert for 30min or more We where driving for Las Vegas to LA when we saw 2 "silver spheres" in the skies, that kinda looked like stars. They didn`t move from their posistion, the only thing was that they diseppeard for a couple of seconds then became visible agian. this happend all the time.

Aslo you might say this was stars but they dont disepear like that and it was bright blue skies with the sun shining over the mojave desert. They where far away. Also this was on the highway and me and my friend saw it.

I can`t confirm that anyone else saw it but as many cars that travel that way somebody else must have seen it! Then after a while they seemed to start descending in a slow phase. It can`t be sure because maybe it was only us coming closer to the mountains so we couldnt see them. I may have a picture but I don`t know yet because it was so far away.

LIGHTS -OVER- BURNING MAN 2006- DURING THE BURN!!! We attended the Burning Man Festival in 2006. On the night of the big burn, we climbed an observation deck we’d built to watch the festivities from afar. As the 'man' was burning, I happened to look up and saw a set of 5 green lights traveling in a single file line formation from east to west.

The lights passed over the burn site. When the lights were directly overhead, they rotated counter clockwise, and then shot off NNW in an abrupt manner. My colleague, his girlfriend, and myself witnessed the event.

No other shape was visible besides the green lights. It could have been one craft or five. There was no sound associated with the sighting.

That was my sixth time attending the event. I’ve seen strange and astounding feats of light and sound many times before. HOWEVER, There was absolutely no doubt in my mind of what I saw that night.

Strange light in western sky over Las Vegas At approx 9:30pm I was enjoying the summer night when I noticed a light in the lower western sky. At first I thought it was a bright star, as I watched it I noticed it was changin colors in quick flashes from red to blue to bright white. I called my roommate out to take a look.

We got the binoculars out to take a closer look. We could see the distinct changing of color and the shape of the object (triangular shaped) We watched for approximately 2 hours as it slowly moved toward the horizon and we could no longer see it. Very strange.

2 of these objects looked to be chasing or following each other, they were as low as the speed limit sign as i was driving down the street. they went to the left and as i came to the stop sign they disapeared at an angel.

A large orb the size of a man`s fully extended hand passed over central Las Vegas at 21:04 this evening during a period of heavy lightning activity and strong winds. The object was traveling from northeast to southwest at a high rate of speed. It`s forward speed, however, seemed inconsistent with that of a ball of lightning.

It seemed too slow to be lightning. The forward movement was in a straight trajectory and even, not erratic as one might expect from lighting. It somewhat resembled a searchlight spot but, again, movement and rate of speed seemed inconsistent with that type of light.

Searchlights usually occur repeatedly over periods of time. This ball of light was a one-time occurrence. The orbs color was white.

Blowing sand, dust and some precipitation at the time may have made a clear view of the object impossible. Hence, any features were indefinable.
