Large group high flying lights - Much higher and faster than commercial jet which passed below the object(s). Commercial airliner approx. 10K ft.
departing from DFW airport. Lights appeared faint due to the height and seemed to be moving approx. twice the speed of the commercial airliner.
It was moving west to east. Did not seem to be involved with the aircraft as the air craft was making a slow south easterly turn. The "V" kept on a straight path.
Due to the height of the object(s) and poor visibility due to surrounding city lights, that is all I can report. 1. Sitting on from porch facing north.
2. I watch for shooting stars when I want to relax. 3.
Something different. I thought of the flying triangle over Arizona. That is the only thing close.
What I saw was much higher. 4. Just flew what seemed to be a straight, level and high path.
Due to the airliner that was below, for a short period.that is my only reference. 5.
I felt perplexed and I went in to get my sister, who also saw the same thing. Total time of the sighting was approx. 1.
5 min. and 30 seconds for my sister. 6.
It simply slowly kept on going until the lights of the City of Addison/Carrollton made it too difficult to see. I was originally very faint and hard to see. ((NUFORC Note: Time is not indicate by the witness.
We have assigned an arbitrary time for the sighting. PD)).

Unknown Light over Austin, TX I was out in my driveway talking to my girlfriend on the cell phone when I happened to see a star move from the East heading toward the West. At first I thought it might have been an airplane since aircraft do fly along that route on final approach to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. This however just appeared like a star.
I never blinked or changed color. After about 1 minute of viewing it stopped and remained stationary for about 2 minutes before proceeding on a N-NW heading. After about 20 seconds of that heading it changed and started heading SW coming to a stop again after about 15 seconds.
It remained in position for about 2 minutes before heading W again. I then saw it stop and hold position for about 3-5 minutes. During this time, the clouds began to move into the area and altough they covered the stars, they only obscured the object.
I believe it was either bright enough to be visible through the clouds or may have been in the clouds. I saw it proceed to head W again through the faint bit of light in the clouds and finally lost it after another couple minutes. I did not hear any sounds, witness any other lights or aircraft in the area.
The next aircraft to fly in the vicinity did not arrive until about 20 minutes after I last saw the object. I also was unable to get the object on my camera phone because it blended into the stars too well.

Skinny dark grey or black "being" It was around 10 pm on Saturday, December 16th, 2006, when I left my cousins house. I was headed to feed my horse (which is approximately a 20 minute drive). It was a nice drive, the skies were clear with possibly a few higher clouds in the sky, but you could still see the stars.
I can’t recall if it was a full moon or not, but I know the moon was bright. The barn is in the back of a subdivision, at the end of a dirt road about a mile off the main road of the subdivision, backing up against a pipeline. The road is barely wide enough for 2 cars to pass one another in certain places.
We had received a lot of rain in the past 2 weeks, so the road was well worn with large holes from the rain, as well as from the 18 wheelers that traveled the road headed for the M.U.D.
maintenance facility near the barn. Traveling the road in its condition, along with the deer that cross the road at all hours, at a pace of 10 miles per hour was the fastest, safest speed you could travel on this night. About halfway down the road (headed toward the barn), I started getting a strange feeling I was being watched.
(I have had these feelings before, but just played it off in the past as though it was the horses or deer watching me.) Being how is was dark, I was alone (with my 6 year old son), and the barn is in an isolated area, I hurried to get the horse fed. It couldn’t have taken more than 10 minutes to fill his water bucket and give him his grain and hay.
I locked the gate and headed back down the road towards the main street. As soon as I came around a curve, I noticed 2 red dots about 5 ½ or 6 feet from the ground in the trees. My first though was it was an opossom sitting on a limb of a tree.
I kept my eye on them because I couldn’t fiqure out why its eyes were so red. They were bright, bright red and had a glow to them. As I got closer I realized they were teardrop shaped and way too big to be an oppossom.
The closer I got, I could see a silhouette of a being. Thinking it was a person standing there, I tried to see if I could recognize the person wondering why he was in the area so late. The body was very skinny, very dark grey or black in color with a very small pot-belly.
It wore no clothing. Its hands didn’t seem to have any fingers, although it had a thumb-like appendage. The harder I stared at its face trying to make out any facial features, the less I could see.
The face, although I could see the body perfectly, was very cloudy and continued to blur the harder I tried to see anything. The only movement I observed was the movement of the face/head as I passed it. It made no sound.
As I rounded the next corner I stopped my car and put it in reverse, intending on backing up to take another look at what I had seen. I looked at the display clock on my dash and it read 12:30 am. It should have been reading no later than 10:35 or 10:40 pm.
I put my car back in drive and left. The next day I was joking with my 14 year old son about what I had seen, never really thinking twice about it. Later that evening when I went to feed my horse he wouldn’t have anything to do with me.
He went to the very back of his stall and would not come near me even when I put out his feed. For the next 2 months he acted in the same manner towards me. It wasn’t until the end of April 07 when my insomnia started coming back that I realized I had not had any problems going to bed and staying asleep.
I had in fact been getting 9 hours of undisturbed sleep every night for the past 4-4 ½ months. I have no photos, although, I could draw a picture of what I seen that night.

Very faint, fast-moving lights viewed through night-vision-goggles Last winter (2006) while flying as single pilot on a helicopter EMS patient flight, I observed 1 or 2 faint but distinct lights. At the time, I was using highly sophisticated Night-Vision-Goggles (NVG's). Flying at approximately 1,000' - 1,500' AGL (above ground), I noticed a faint light traveling from the lower-left front of the aircraft, at an estimated distance of about a mile, in a rapid, ascending climb, in front of the aircraft, disappearing to the upper-right.
During the short duration of the observation, I removed (flipped up) the NVG's and was not able to see the light(s) unaided. Neither of the 2 crewmembers in the aft cabin of the helicopter observed the light(s). The light(s) appeared to resemble 2 jet exhaust cones as might be observed at the rear of a twin-engine jet fighter, like an F-18 Hornet.
There was no aircraft body visible nor any other lights that might have been associated with an aircraft: navigation, strobes, etc. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the incident is approximate. PD)).

Strange flying lights over Hemstead/Houston night sky After I had taken the hemstead exit to houston comming from college station, I noticed these lights that appeared to be the beacon lights on top of a bridge that I knew was not supposed to be because I travel to college station regularally from galveston. Well within seconds, the lights broke up and formed a snake-like formation. I 'm traveling down highway 6 doing 70 mph.
At first I thought maybe it was a milliary helicopter convoy, but helicopters don't move like this. There was one of the lights that was bigger/brighter than the other seven. Soon they started flying in complex formations, forming different shapes and quite frankly doing things that would kill a human if subjected to those kinds of g forces.
The lights flickered rapidly all kinds of colors. I'm 35 years old and the last time I saw something like this is when I was four years old in new mexico. We lived outside an air force base because my father was serving.
I was hopping this would be on the news because I don't see how no one else didn't see but me. I even pulled over and filmed a small segment of it. But I have to say the quallity is not top notch.
Please tell me someone else saw this, it was incresible!.

My son and I watched a triangular shaped craft several thousand feet in the air that remained stationary but rotated or gyrated. My son and I were hanging Christmas lights on the outside of his house. I was holding the ladder while he was securing the lights on the gutter around his front door.
The sky was clear except for a few high level clouds. I heard a passenger jet flying overhead and looked up to see it pass. The part of the sky I was looking at was "framed" by the house structure so when I looked up I only had a brief sighting of the jet but my eye suddenly caught the outline of some other kind of craft that appeared to be much higher than the jet I had just seen.
I looked at it for a second not knowing what it was but trying to identify it. As I was watching it, it remained stationary but appeared to rotate or move constantly in one place. As it moved or rotated I could see that it was triangular, in appearance.
I asked my son if he saw it and he said yes. He, at first, thought it was a satellite, star or a planet but after watching it for awhile, we both noticed it wasn't moving across the sky. Unfortunately, we didn't have any binoculars or other means to view it any closer.
I asked him how he would describe it and he said it looked either triangular or rectangular. We both looked away for a few minutes to gather some other lights to hang on the house and when we looked up to view the object again, it had vanished. We could not locate the object again.
I remember commenting to my son that if it had been a satellite or planet, it wouldn't have simply vanished.

Chased by three lights in Carthage, TX. Driving through Carthage TX my brother spotted 3 lights on the horizon and pointed them out to me. I thought it looked like an airplane at first but then the lights changed colors and started moving back and forth and moving like no airplane we had ever seen all while changing colors every 20 seconds or so.
We kept watching the lights until we lost them behind some trees on the side of the road. Every once in a while we would catch site of them as the trees cleared and they seemed to be getting closer each time we spotted the object. Eventually we came to a stop sign and again had a clear view of the object.
It appeared to be at least a mile away and stationary. After watching the lights for about 15 seconds they started coming towards us at a very rapid speed. I was starting to get scared so I told my brother to drive.
He made a left turn and I stuck my head out the window to get a better look at the lights and see where they were. This may have been the scariest moment of my life. The lights were directly above and behind us maybe 50 feet.
I was too scared to sit there and stare at it so I put my head back in the window. Meanwhile my brother asked where the lights were and I yelled that they were "right here" and told him to drive. As my brother was driving (still accelerating to the speed limit) a green white light shone on our vehicle.
My brother yelled out a curse word which I thought was funny for some reason. After 2 or 3 seconds the light went out and the object was gone. I looked for it again about a minute later when I regained my composure but did not see it.

2 green fireballs following one another traveling northeast to southwest at high rate of speed with no contrail or sound 11/8/06 20:00 Rosanky TX Fireball unknown Green fireball, making whistling noise, and chase aircraft appearing later. ====================================================================== My wife, a neighbor and myself were walking up the street to check the mail in our community my wife and the neighbor saw two green fireballs traveling from Northeast to Southwest. They commented or me to look but before I could turn my head, they were beyond the southwest horizon.
They said there were two fireballs, one following directly behind the other. There was no contrail and I did not hear any sound from the objects. There were no trees or buildings to obstruct the view.
They were traveling at a high rate of speed in that they were out of sight before I could turn my head to see for myself. The date is approximate but based on the siting reported in Rosanky above, this fits the date and time as I recall. Rosanky is about 35 miles ENE from New Braunfels.

Laredo Texas sighting November 2006 A friend and I were driving around the city when her sister called her, she just looked out the window and was looking into the sky and said "there's something in the sky". This is when she tells me that for a couple of day her family and herself had been seeing a lot of movement in the sky. She describes it as a star moving in different directions.
This when I stop the car and look out in the sky and that was what I saw, a star moving up and down. This when I suggest going to Kruger field, where we could probably have a clearer view. As we get there I do see it clear but still far a cicular object with purple, red, greenish lights turning.
That was really strange, at this moment I am tring to make sense of what I was looking at, but I could not. my friend and I were in shock. I took pictures with my phone but the pictures were not clear.
I did call several people and they were as surprised to see what I saw. After that I tried to watch the news to see if anyone had seen anything, but nothing. A couple of months later as I was searching on the internet I found out that there was a UFO sighting on an airport in Chicago and Houston around the same time we saw this in Laredo.
I have heard that several border patrol in Laredo have seen strange things in the sky. Its been 2 years since I saw this and I am very intrigued by the subject on UFO's. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides little contact information.

small red rectangle in texas It was about 11pm on a saturday night in november. I live on the second floor of a two story appartment. I had to smoke a cigarette, so I went to the balcony.
It was november in texas, so the wind was blowing pretty hard. My balcony faces a large open area where the appartment swimming pool is located. As I was lighting my cigarette, I noticed something coming from over the building on my right.
It was only about three or four feet wide and rectangular, almost a perfect square. It had a dull red appearance. It moved by me pretty fast only about twenty or so feet in front of me.
It looked like it came from over the building, it dipped down in front of me, and started rising pretty fast. Normally, on a windy texas night i wouldn't have thought much about that, but it moved in a straight line, and was definately three dimensional. As i mentioned before, it was moving pretty fast and flew by me as i was lighting my cig.
I kept watching it and it changed direction and started going skyward, again it was moving in a completly straight line. Only once it got some altitude and some distance did it start to get a white glow to it, and i was able to follow it in the sky for quite awhile, definatly longer than i should have for an object of that size. By this time i was trying to figure out what in Heavens name this thing was.
It couldn't have been paper, since in the wind paper wouldn't have kept its shape, and plus it was a complete square. It couldn't have been a box, since the wind wasn't THAT strong, and again it would have been knocked around instead of moving in a straight line. Plus, boxes don't glow.
As i mentioned before, i followed it for quite awhile, i smoked the majority of my cigarette watching it, and then it just dissappeared. I noticed a plane was in the sky on an intercept course to the object, and when it dissapeared, the plane changed course. I live near an Air Force base and i wonder if the plane was a military plane.
If anyone has had a similar experiance, I would like to hear about, partly just to confirm my sanity. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the incident is approximate. PD)).

Very fast white cigar shape with halo, low altitude, seen 2 times, with second observer. This sighting happened above my back garden, in full darkness, on a clear, cloudless night. My property is surrounded by trees, and has a clear sky view, directly above the back garden.
A very fast object travelled from north to south, covering approx 100 degrees of sky, in about 1-2 seconds. The object was pure white, with a halo type covering, and resembled a cigar type shape. Inside the "halo" there seemed to be a long cylindrical shape, with a rounded front, and no discernable rear.
I have no frame of reference for a dimension, but an estimate would be, width of 2 fingers at arms length, and a length of one fist at arms length. The altitude was low, and i estimate under 500 feet. There was no noise, or any unusual phenomena.
I would not have written in about this, except for the fact that i have seen this twice now. The second time was a month later, in mid december 2006, when i was in Tweed Heads, Australia. I was outside a house, at approx 22:00, with my wife, and we both saw this "object".
This was almost identical to the one i saw in galveston, and the direction of travel was south east, to north east. The details for this second sighting were effectively identical, with very high velocity, white "cigar" and halo, no noise, no associated phenomena. My wife asked me not to repeat what i saw in galveston, as there was only one observer, and no proof of any kind, and i concurred this was correct.
However, after the sighting in australia, and its extremely similar description, in 2 very different localities, but with 2 observers, i feel it is reasonable to state that this was not an abberation, atmospheric phenomena, or an isolated incident.
