bright orange lights spliting into multiple objects over Santa Fe, NM. As my wife and I were leaving a Christmas/birthday party near downtown Santa Fe, my wife noticed a bright orange light in the sky just over the tops of nearby homes to th south of our location. The light appeared to be moving southward away from us and the made a slow turn westward.

As we watched, trying to figure out what it was, it began to get brighter and then split into two seperate but equally bright objects. We then got in the truck to try to get to higher ground for a better view. Approx.

five minutes later we arrived at St. Vincent's hospital parking lot where , approx.2 to 3 minutes later while scaning the sky, the light appeared again.

This light was moving in a south easterly direction and stayed visible for about 30 sec. before getting brighter and and spliting into three parts, one from the top and one from the bottom. We waited approx.

7 to 8 min. before we saw another light moving in the same direction as the second. This light came from farther away than the second and was moving at a greater speed, slightly bobbing up and down as it went before the light faded out and was gone.

We did snap two shots of the objects on a camara phone, but as we continued to snap a few more shots the camera gave a message of "picture failed." The screen on the phone then went hay wire and the screen pixilated in in multiple colors, which has never happened before. Flying Object Crash by Tularosa,NM around 18:00 hours was driving west on highway between mescalero, nm and tularosa,nm about 5 minutes to tularosa. there was a very bright light at low altitude that backlit a mountain then apeared from behind it. the object was moving north at very high velocity.

Light was very bright and appeared to be burning was in full visibility for several seconds before striking the ground (perhaps just north or northwest of tularosa, nm).sparks were thrown but there was no fire.several other vehicles on the road saw it and some used their brakes and kept going others pulled over , myself included, it was dark out and i could not approximate the exact point of impact, will go out with binoculars in the morning to try to located the object, called 911 to report, best estimated time of incident would be between 18:00 and 18:12 .

Black Triangular Craft flew overhead I was traveling northbound on Hwy 371, about an hour from the Interstate 40 when I seen a black triangular craft fly overhead. There were no lights and it made no sound. It flew from the northeast to the southwest in a straight line.

It was rather large and it didn't look like it was very high, I guess that it had to be about a couple thousand feet in the air. I watched it fly in my direction and I pulled over to see what it was. I watch from the cab of my truck and when it flew overhead, I got out and watch it fly to the southwest.

It was really low and quite. There were no lights, just a black triangle in the sky. I've been driving trucks for over nine years and I've never seen anything like this before.

I didn't notice anything about onboard electronics, everything worked fine. The object seemed like it didn't interfer with my truck.

Solid, bright white and red rectangular object fall from night sky near Glorieta, New Mexico Correction update of incident location. We initially stated that the object was viewed incorrectly in Valencia, in Valencia county New Mexico. After looking at a New Mexico map, the correct location is as follows: Valencia exit 297, Interstate 25.

We were at the stop sign on the road parallel to I-25 North about to turn left to access the overpass to the on-ramp for I-25 South. While still at the stop sign (car pointing NorthEast), we observed a rectangular object falling from the sky directly in front of our line of vision. It fell in a direct line straight down and over the ridge that was in front of our line of sight in the NorthEast sky.

The rectangular object was 2/3 bright white light and 1/3 bright red light. The light was solid and not flashing nor blinking. It was hard to distinguish the size and exact distance since the incident happened at 9:50pm and was 3 to 4 seconds maximum duration.

The area that it seem to fall would be adjacent to Glorieta, New Mexico which is two miles further north on I-25 from where we observed the event. We called the Santa Fe non-emergency fire department phone number to report the incident at 10:01pm.

Brilliant White Object Parallels the southern horizon. A Brilliant white object parallel the bluffs along the southern edge of Farmington, NM. The object made no sound nor did it leave a streak.

It moved very fast and traveled from the western horizon to the eastern horizon. It seemed to be as low as the aircrafts in the area. Four Corners Regional Airport was north of where the object was seen.

There was an aircraft in the area, it was flashing red and blue lights. The aircraft seemed to be higher than the object. The aircraft was making an apporach to the airport.

There was another witness along with myself. The coordinates of the sighting was N36 degrees, 43.859 min & W 108 Degrees, 14.

UFO Sampling Jets Contrail at 39,000 feet Southwest Airlines FLT 1593 enroute from Albuquerque, NM to Baltimore Wahington, MD at FL39 (39,000'). I was sitting at a window seat on the port side of the airplane about 2/3 towards the back observing a United flight climbing from our lower right to upper left and then leveling out at our altitude. I was amused at how nice of a contrail that plane had and started looking at how long it was when I first observed the craft.

It was approximately 1/2-3/4 mile behind the United flight and appreared to be almost stationary just above the contrail. Its attitude to the contrail was approximately 15-20 degrees. At first it appreared to be a scratch on the window I was looking through, but when I observed it from another adjacent window it was exactly the same.

For most of the observation, it looked as thought it was kinfe edge toward our plane. Then for a brief period of time it rolled to reveal its real shape (circular). I asked the passenger next to me if he had a camera I could borrow he said yes and proceeded to get it out of his bag.

When I turned to observe the craft again, it was no longer visible.

A wedge formation of seven garden spade shaped craft. Seven small car sized objects in a wedge formation flew across the sky, under the low hanging clouds, silently. They took about 5 seconds to traverse from northern horizon to sothern horizon.

Shape of a hand garden spade and illuminated underside the same color as the orange clouds. Direcly above the west side middle object broke formation and fell back and east to the rear of the center object in the wedge. Then returned to formation.

This manuver took less than a second. The fomation quivered with the manuver and was solid and unwavering before and after. I feel they are ours, remote control and saying "Hi" to Kirtland AFB with the little fly over of over half the population of New Mexico.

Very faint flashing strobe At approximately 9;05 PM, Mountain Standard Time, I was on our front porch scanning the sky to the west, 270 degrees, with a pair of 7x50 binoculars when into my view appeared a faint flashing object. It appeared to be a single flashing strobe, flashing three times, then with about a one second pause. It was first seen at about a 15 degree angle moving directly East.

While I was watching it, it suddenly turned to the North-East. I couldn't see this objet with my unaided eye, only with the binoculars. It appeared to be very high in the sky and moving at a rapid clip, but slower than the many satellites that we see every night.

I witnessed this light travel across the night sky moving North-East until it moved into the Milky Way, then it blinked off and I lost it at approximately 21:20 (9:20 PM MST). I saw three comercial aircraft to the south of our location at the same time, but highly doubt any of them witnessed this sighting. The five of us were out driving around a thought to be secret base here in town. We all of the sudden were being followed. I turned down a dirt road and cut the lights off and slowly coasted down the road.

They had lost us but before leaving to make sure they were gone we hung outside the car for a little bit. Next thing you know I see something off in the distance about twenty yards out eye level slowly drifting closer. It was a bright orange ball and drifted about five feet away from us at the car.

The weird thing is I don't remember driving the car back to my friends house where when were then playing video games all this in the matter of an hour. makes me wonder if what we thought were headlights following us or a ufo that did find us.

Fiery object moving south to north which separated into approx 5 small objects which trailed it in a straight line On October 3, 2006, at approximately 11:15 p.m. while looking to the west, we witnessed a very large fiery object in the western sky slightly above the mountains.

It appeared to burn with a bright white color. The object moved in a left to right (south to very slightly northeast) direction and seemed to hold a relatively flat trajectory across the sky. The sighting lasted approximately 60 to 90 seconds.

As the object moved away to the north, it separated into at least 5 individual, small orange objects that trailed it in a straight line. The small objects diminished in size with the largest directly behind and the smallest at the end of the line.

Possible UFo over Santa Fe/Los Alamos I was house sitting on the west side of santa fe where I had a view of the Jemez mountains and los alamos. I saw at about three in the morning this bright gold light emerge over the Jemez mountains heading east. At first it looked like it was an approaching helicopter with alternate gold and red blinking lights.

Then it just kind of sat in the sky and looked like a star, but really close. I observed it move at a rate much faster than the surrouding stars, until it was out of sight range. The next day the person I was house-sitting for came in and reported seeing three of the same thing in Dixon, NM, along with 12 other people - without me prompting.

I thought no one would believe me or care even - as I didn't, but they saw it as well, so I decided to report it.

ON SUNDAY 10 01 06 MY WIFE AND I WERE DRIVING HOME FROM WHITE RUIDOSO NEW MEXICO. APPROXIMATLEY AT 11:20 PM I NOTICED OFF TO MY LEFT BOUT 1 MILE TO THE WEST A RED FLARE GUN SHOOT OFF AND ARC INTO THE SKY. I NOTED THE MILE MARKER ON HYWAY 380 AS MILE 47 JUST IN CASE WE SAW A POLICE OFFICER TO LET HIM KNOW.

APPROXIMATLEY AT 11:40 PM WE WERE 15 MILES SOUTH OF THE OWL CAFE BETWEEN SAN ANTONIO AND SOCCORRO NEW MEXICO. A VERY BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION OUT THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW - FROM THE WEST NORTH WEST , THINKING IT WAS A WEATHER BALLOON. IT SHOT ACROSS , MOVING ACROSS MY WINDSHIELD IN 3-5 SECONDS.

I SAW AN AFTER BURNER EFFECT COME FROM ITS TAIL END LIKE A FIGHTER JET - I WOKE UP MY WIFE. SHE SAW THE TAIL END OF THE AFTERBURNER EFFECT AND IT PASSED TO THE EAST OUTSIDE HER WINDOW. I BROUGHT THE CAR TO A STOP THE AFTER BURNER SHOT OUT A HUGE BLAST OF FIRE AS A STRING OF 5 ORBS OF WHITE LIGHT LIKE A STRING OF PEARLS IN A ROW LIT UP THE SKY FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS THEN DISAPPEARED INTO THE SOUTHEASTERN SKY - EAST OF SOCCORRO.

WE WERE BOTH IN AWE MY WIFE WAS SPEECHLESS IT TOOK OUR BREATH AWAY. WE GRABBED THE ROAD MAP AND LOOKED TO SEE WHERE WE WERE AT - TO THE WEST OF US WHERE I FIRST SAW THE LIGHT WAS THE NORTHERN TIP OF WHITE SANDS MISSLE RANGE - WHEN I INITIALLY SAW THE RED FLARE GUN 20 MINUTES PRIOR WE HAD JUST PASSED BY SIGNS FOR THE TRINITY SIGHT - WHERE THE 1ST ATOMIC BOMB WAS DETONATED. IT WILL BE A NIGHT TO REMEMBER.

I WOKE UP MY WIFE TO LET HER KNOW AS I BROUGHT THE CAR TO A STOP - SHE SAW A TAIL END OF THE AFTER BURNER EFFECT AND AT THAT POINT I LOST VISUAL SIGHT OF IT. MY WIFE SAID SHE SAW A SUDDEN BURST OF FLAME COME OUT OF IT AS IT PASSED ON THRU HER PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW MOVING EAST.

a bright lights traveling very fast with a green tail that exploded into four lights! there was one bright light traveling at a high rate of speed heading northeast the light split into 2 lights then split into four lights all the same size. There was a green tail behind the lights.There was like an explosion but there was no fire and nothing fell it all stayed the same distance apart and thats when it split into four lights.

according to the GPS we were located at N 36 degrees and 44.963 and w 108 degrees at 10.466.

our degree of view was approximately 45 degrees. We contacted the flight tower in Farmington, NM right after the event and there were no dispruptions and he didnt really take us seriously. we would have reported the event sooner but we just found this website.

We checked the news to see what it was but all they said it was possibly a meteor or part of the spacestation. We want an explanation as to what we saw, so if there is any information about this sighting and what it was we would like to know. How come no one has any photos I thought new mexico has some high tech stuff that tracks stuff in the sky.

7 bright lights over northeast new mexico At 11:20, I had stepped outside on my deck and caught something out of the corner of my eye. I turned and saw 7 bright lights gliding silently in a northeastly direction. There was no blinking lights, no tails like meteors.

Just bright yellow lights that were bigger than stars and closer to earth. I watched them for about 30 seconds and they faded away into the clouds. They were travelling in a straight line.

I have seen some strange objects over the years, but none as spectular as this. I felt that this was something I should report.

Seven Bright Lights in New Mexico Skies I have been a resident of New Mexico for almost 11 years and have seen a few unusual things in our skies, but nothing like what I saw tonight.nothing I've wanted to report. My daughter and I were outside having a smoke break when she said, "Look!" I turned around and noticed a bright light in the west, moving NE.

My first thought was "meteor," although I've never seen a meteor that size. As I watched, the light that appeared as a huge, gold star split into 3, then into 7 smaller "stars." They moved quickly and without sound, travelling in a straight line.

We watched them until we could no longer see them. I called my local police department, but no one had reported anything.

White fireball on huge object flying horizonally before changing colors, emitting orange balls of light and evaporating "My friend and I were up on Vista del Oro Road near Madrid, NM, near the top of the mountain off old gold mine road, with a 300 degree view of the valley 125 miles long, when we noticed a huge ball of light hurling horizontally faster than anything we had ever seen coming east to west. My friend initially thought it was an airplane but immediately realized the light was too bright and it was moving too fast. About 10-15 seconds later the object turned into red and yellow flames like a lit match.

I estimate we were ten miles away from it and which we watched from an angle of approximately 45 degrees and remained constant. There was no sound. It made a turn to the north and then transfigured into a transparent swirling hovering mass over the valley with what looked like clear egg shaped objects swirling inside.

Seconds later five or six tiny orange lights like sparks ejected in a line out the back and all evaporated into the darkness without ever getting near the ground. About ten seconds later we noticed an airplane flying northwest, over the Santa Fe mountains. I am a university instructor and my friend is an attorney.

about 23:15 sunday, 10/1/06--a slow-moving horizontal strip of white light that shown into my room and then truned blue and moved off Santa Fe, New Mexico. October 2, 2006 At approximately 11:15 p.m.

, Sunday, October 1, 2006, I woke to go to the bathroom and noticed slowly moving lights on the wall in my bedroom as if from car headlights. I looked out the North facing window out of curiosity and began to question myself because there are no nearby driveways behind and to the North of our 2 and ½ acre property. There appeared to be a low flying object of horizontal white light moving about 5 or 10 mph just 100 ft.

or a little higher above the ground,heading South. As I watched and tried to figure out what it was, the white light turned a beautiful shade of bright blue and began to move faster and seemed to turn to the North east before vanishing from my sight. All in all only about 30 to 45 seconds passed from the moment I saw that it was in the air to the moment it turned away and seemed to vanish.

No noise was heard by me. The strip of light might have been about 20 ft. long.

segmented flashing formation w/ "v" formation of glowing lights leading S. to N.E.

, Taos NM (Northern NM) While driving north, glimpsing up at a 45deg angle, out of the corner of my left eye, an apparent streak of florescent green, which I immediately thought of as a meteor traveling south to northeast. My thought then was that it would streak across the sky to the north and that would be it. But, instead as I was driving I didn't see it streak and instead looked back to the left and saw that this object seemed to slow down to a really slow speed, and as it was night time I couldn't get a good feel for what altitude that it was at.

As I've said I was driving and on my way home which is outside of the town limits towards the Taos Pueblo. I slowed down considerably due to me trying to keep this object in my eyesight. At this time I was able to get a good look at it and could see that it was what appeared to be a segmented string of objects which was the center mass and around and leading this, were what appeared to be smaller disk shaped lights which were space evenly around in a "v" shaped formation.

These where what I thought at first to be sparks or flares, but as mentioned, since it had "slowed" down and I also had been able to travel the half mile down the road at a 15mph speed or so, and had left the town area where the overhead lights diminished the clarity of the night sky, the details stood out quite a bit. I by now had pulled over on the side of the road and could see that this object was moving by now with faster speed and seemed to be "banking" directly towards an opening between the Taos Mountain/Wheeler peak area and the El Salto peaks area. The object moved in a smooth, almost liquid motion with all of it's "satellites" moving in unision, and when it approached the opening between these two landmasses, it sort of "flowed" through the opening, with again, a smooth banking motion.

At that point, I could see that on the top of this object were what looked to be a series of flashing lights running from front to back, twinkling in series and at the "end" of it were three flashing li! ghts, in a triangle shape. At that point, it seemed to just speed up and travel through that area very fast and apparently head northeast where it disappeared behind the Taos Mtn.
