Bright Orange Orb traveled fairly quickly across sky then hovered briefly and shot straight up. Possible UFO Sighting Alamogordo New Mexico On November 30th at 2051 Local time (As verified with my Atomic Watch) at my residence in Alamogordo New Mexico, I happened to step outside to check on the weather conditions. Snow was forecasted for the evening.
The weather was overcast with slight rain/sleet. As I walked around to my drive way I happened on a Bright Orange Light in the night sky. The object was North by East in direction.
I wondered if it could be a meteorite. The object appeared to be travelling horizontally for a few minutes in a westerly direction. I did not notice any flashing marker lights as usually seen by nearby Military and civilian traffic.
There was no trail as found with meteorites. The bright object was below the cloud cover at this time. I decided to go inside my house and get my wife and get my 8 X 40mm Tasco binoculars.
At 2055 the object stopped in mid air just north of my residence. The object was hovering at this point and my wife was observing it with the binoculars. At this time the object was just above the cloud cover.
At 2057 my wife went inside the house due to the cold and to attend to our kids. I continued to observe this object for another minute and it appeared to gradually lose its orange brightness and slowly fade. It appeared at this time to be going straight up and in a matter of about three seconds disappeared completely.
I looked at my watch and noted the time to be 2058. The Orbs brightness was brighter than any aircraft I have witnessed in my 22 years in the U.S.
Air Force. The brightness was equivalent to it being on fire. I observed the object before it ascended above the cloud cover with the binoculars.
I did notice a variety of red almost pink colors toward the rear of the orb. No sound was heard. No other aircraft in the sky were visible.
This was a very eerie experience. I then contemplated calling the local Base (Holloman AFB) to report what I had seen. Being a retired Air Force member myself, I realized this would be a waste of time.
Who do you call at now 2110 at night?? I talked with my wife who is a complete skeptic on the subjects of UFOs. She mentioned to look for a web site that takes reports of sightings. I contacted the National UFO Reporting Center by phone and was instructed to file a detailed report.

Two Tandem Bright Reflective Objects Traveling Southeasterly Navajo, New Mexico, Thanksgiving Day 2009 evening some time between 5:30pm and 6:30pm Saw a bright object flying south that was being followed by a smaller bright object. These two objects seemed to reflect the light of the sun. The sun had set for us about 10-20 minutes before and was twilight and not full dark yet.
These objects were very high up and moving quickly in a straight line across the sky. Four of us watched the objects move further southeasterly and slowly fade in brightness until they were no longer visible in the dark sky. I remembered that the shuttle was due to depart the International Space Station that day.
I know that as the shuttle departs it trails the ISS widening the distance between them. Maybe this is what I saw.

sighted a formation of many star-like objects flying through daytime sky At approximately 13:58 today, November 20, 2009 I observed a strange formation in the daytime sky. I happened to be looking up at a tree next to my home and then noticed, in the far distance and at a great height, what looked like stars. Though this seemed rather odd for the time of day, I glanced elsewhere in the sky to see if I could see other stars.
Naturally I couldn’t. But when I glanced back at the formation, I noticed that the formation, which consisted of approximately thirty shining, sparkling star-like objects, was steadily moving horizontally to the right. The objects maintained their respective positions as the whole formation moved.
The formation looked something like this: ……… ……… ……… …. …… ……………… …………. After about four minutes, maybe less, I began to walk to my car as I had someplace to go.
I then decided to once again check for the formation in the sky before I left. At this point I could not longer find the formation.

I was traveling on the i-10 east in New mexico on 11-20-09,i glanced at the horizon at about mile marker 2 and noticed an Object in the sky in the distance I thought it to be a plane but as I got closer to this object, it was not moving at all. I waited until I was close enough to take a picture and I took what I could With my cell phone camera. This object was dark in Color and never moved, it had no lights.
When I took pictures of the object, it was to the south. I could not identify it as a plane or a blimp, or anything else that makes sense, so the only thing left is the fact that this is an unidentified flying or floating or whatever it was in the sky. I will send the photos by mail.

Saw a chevron of lights moving from north to south while watching for the Leonid meteor shower. Early on the morning of Tuesday, November 17th, 2009 I woke up early in order to go outside and catch a glimpse of the Leonid meteor shower. I bundled up and went outside.
A few minutes later my eyes had acclimated to the dark but I hadn’t seen any shooting stars. I had swept the sky a couple of times in order to avoid missing any. When I turned from the east and was facing almost due west, I looked straight up and something caught my eye.
I saw one meteor and then something else. When I focused on it I saw a total of five dim dots, perhaps lights, arranged in a V, or chevron. I could not tell their altitude so determining speed is nearly impossible.
They were moving from the north to the south in a very smooth and straight line. I watched them/it for about five to ten seconds before the ambient light from the city made them/it disappear. I heard nothing.
I looked around a bit longer in the hopes of seeing something else, but eventually got too cold and went! back inside.

Strange saucer like object with red flashing lights decending slowly from moon At 9:45pm in Farmington New Mexico a UFO was seen, first, above and slightly to the right of the moon. Then disappeared and reappeared at the bottom left side of the moon. As we watched, it slowly started moving downward.
At a closer look you could see flashing red lights moving in a circular motion horizontally. After a few minutes the object started to fade and eventually disappeared. When it was first noticed, it looked as if the light from the moon was being reflected off of the object.
It's shape was not very distinct, but appeared flat and round. We have recently been interested by this subject and are not sure if this has played a role in our sighting. Whether it was actually seen or just a hallucination is not determined between us but we both witnessed and described matching details to each other.

Object was not a weather balloon, or any known aircraft. Watched this object before it got dark, it was a dirty white color. It stayed stationary in the sky.
When the sun began to set, it lit up in a bright white light. After a good 45 minutes, all the time stationary, it changed colors from white, to a mixture of white and red, with like a red aura around it. Not long after that, it began moving rapidly up at an angle, until it looked like a star in the sky, then disappeared.
No flashing beacon. The object was big! Got poor pictures from a cell phone camera, but there was a man taking pictures with a 35mm camera with a big zoom lens. Many people witnessed this object.

Very large star like object dropped three smaller bright objects. While walking eastward on morning of 9/20/09 @6am there was a second star just to the west of the morning star, only it was about 5 times brighter and bigger. I watched for about 20 minutes then a small bright object began dropping below the light.
After a couple minutes a second bright object began dropping but at a greater speed, catching up with the first object. Then a third object began dropping. At this time the large bright object deflated to about the size and brightness of the morning star to the right(east).
By this time(6:30am) the rising sun gradually over whelmed the shine of the objects and the morning star.

Pearlescent, teardrop object stationary in sky for two hours, turns red and disappears at night fall My husband, two children, and myself were vacationing in New Mexico Thu-Sun and got pics from outside of our hotel on Saturday. They all show the same object, something stationary in the sky from about 5:15-7:30 p.m.
At first, we thought it may be a balloon since it is NM. We were walking into our hotel and saw this and decided to go back to the car and grab the binoculars. Using them, we could see that it wasn't a hot air balloon.
It was silvery/pearly white, teardrop shape, but no basket on the bottom. The inside was dark grey-black, like a small circle in the middle. It wasn't moving.
There also wasn't a string or thing on the bottom showing that it was a weather balloon, either. I took a few pictures from outside the hotel (you can see the billboard in the pics). We went up to our room and sat in the window seat to get a better look.
It still hadn't moved, but clouds started coming across it. Then clouds settled in, so we stopped looking and ate dinner. We decided to go for a sunset drive by our hotel and into the foothills.
Sure enough, when the clouds parted, it was still there. At this time, the black area inside of it started to turn orange/red. By the time dusk turned to night, it started to fade and was gone completely.
All in all, for 2 hours, it didn't move left or right, up or down. Considering this, its design, and strange behavior, we decided that it couldn't be a weather balloon. If you zoom into the pics, you can get a better view.

Short cigar shaped object with rays of light eminating from one end; stayed in the sky for 2 hrs+. Initially this was a white light that emitted periodic white starburst-like rays that stayed fairly close to the center point of light. It would periodically move in a jerky manner and then stay completely stationery for a while.
When the object came closer it appeared to be a stubby cigar-shaped tube and continued to emit light rays periodically from a central light point. At one time, for about 20, minutes a central point of light would appear (like a stamen on a flower) and the object would rotate around as though it were a satellite dish scanning the area below it. I went and got a neighbor to see it so I could be sure I wasn’t losing my mind or something.
He didn’t know what to make of it but didn’t really seem to care and went back inside. I sat in my truck bed, realizing it was not a man-made object, and opened my arms wide and tried to mentally will it to come to me (if this makes any sense). To my amazement, it moved almost directly overhead and mov! ed closer, at which point I could no longer see the object but only the radiating light.
It came closer to me and became like a cat or fox’s face with the light rays being like whiskers or something. It would come closer, actually very close, and immediately recede if I moved arms or blinked, as though it were tentative or shy. It seemed to prefer it when I crossed my arms over my chest rather than spread them wide.
After ~15 or 20 minutes of this the cat’s face transformed slowly into almost the classical “alien’s face”. Then it seemed as though I was looking down the wrong end of a telescope; everything became dark around the outside and a narrowing circle of light was at the end with a being at the center who became increasingly wrinkled as the circle closed. I felt almost paralyzed but really started to freak out so I waved my arms and the whole thing retreated immediately.
It then came closer and retreated but with the “alien face,” not the cat’s face. I watched this f! or probably 30 minutes and then figured that while this was a ! unique a nd weird thing going on there was no point in watching it any more and went inside to go to bed. I did look out the door a few times and the thing stayed around for maybe 10 minutes and then was gone.
I know this makes me sound like a whack job or something, but I’m generally a very skeptical person and have multiple science degrees. So there it is. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides little contact information.

Large orange lights north of Roswell, NM My brother from Oklahoma (who didn't believe in this stuff until tonight!) were Coyote hunting 15 miles north of Roswell, at 20:45 while facing North, my brother said "Look at the UFO!" This HUGE string of square/Oval shaped orange lights were moving in concession eastward, First 2 then three the the whole thing lit up to the east like a craft you see in the movies. It lasted 35 seconds then just disappeared! It was well defined. It looked as it was ONE object, and it was HUGE, we are not intelligent enough to make something that large fly.
I live in Roswell, and always think the people talking about this stuff are idiots!! Never again will I think that!! This was the most amazing thing Ive seen in my 32 years of life!!WOW!! I actually cant believe Im writing this!! I'm very familiar with aircraft, Scientific balloons and what not, this thing was so big!! Nothing man made! Minutes later a fighter jet (from Kirkland?) was seen flying at high altitude east over the area where we seen the lights! Very weird!.

Blue/Green Glowing Figure 8 shape sighted in North East Albuquerque - followed by possible Military Aircraft I was out walking my dogs with my wife and noticed a low flying air plane (cross streets are Union St NE and Eddy in Northeast Albuquerque) at 8:57 pm. Height was under 1000 ft. Plane possibly looked like a C-130 (it was getting dark so it is hard to tell exact aircraft).
The plane was flying north along the east side of the Sandia Mountains. The reason I looked up is because I could hear the engines as it was pretty loud and low flying (planes do not typically fly this close to the ground as the airport / Kirtland AFB is about 15 miles to the south. After looking at the plane, noticed a weird object in front of the plane.
The plane appeared to be following or chasing the strange object. What the object appeared as was a figure 8 pattern with flashing blue/green lights moving on the outside of the figure 8. The figure 8 object actually looked like an 8 on its side.
I could not tell if the space between the outline of the figure 8 was solid as it was getting dark. I could just notice the blue/green lights circling around the figure 8 pattern. I spent 12 years in the USAF and have been around aircraft for years.
I also work on Kirtland AFB and am familiar with flight characteristics and aircraft types. The only thing that I would even guess this could be is an Osprey aircraft (which they have at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque) due to the large propellers. Unfortunately, I have never seen the propellers radiate a blue/green light in the strange pattern.
I would also not understand why it appeared to be followed by a C-130 size aircraft.
