Glowing star-like object grows large and then vanishes. I was standing outside my grandparents house, gazing into the night sky when the siting occurred. I saw an unusually large star-like object that was stationary.

After a moment of viewing it, it grew to the size of my finger tip against the sky and then shrunk into nothing.

Six egg shaped or actually appeared like they had two parts appeared in the night sky. One retreated and five remained almost stationa Noting that we live out and all stars are visible and bright on a clear night, we went to the barn to feed horses when I looked up and saw these unusual objects in the sky. They were not stars nor planets but what they were-who knows? There were six and they flicked green, gold, and white.

A bright, flashing, possibly immobile object that seemed large and whose flashing obscured the emitting object. At around 7:35, witness 1 saw a bright flashing light that was brighter than every other light we could see. It seemed to be very large, and the light obscured the object that emitted it.

The object was high up, and might have been moving, but it was hard to see.Then we lost sight of it.

As I was looking at the sky, when this aircraft just appeared and stood still I was looking at the sky when out of no where this aircraft just appeared. My son and I where driving on Highway 30-Arizona, about half a mile close to exit 30, the come up sign read HOPE.so i figured we sow this kind of diamond shaped aircraft near Hope County, Arizona.

It was 9:55pm Eastern Time.but i believe in that area it was 7:55pm. it had on each corner a bar of bright white lights, which was turning on and off, the aircraft was big and black, it stood still.

Triangular pattern of lights hovering above Alma, Arkansas My fiancee and I were driving southbound on Hwy 71 just south of the I-40 interchange. I noticed 3 lights in a triangular pattern hovering up in the sky. Just after I saw them, the lights started shutting down one by one pretty quickly.

The entire event lasted approximately 4 seconds and she was not able to look up fast enough to see it. The lights seemed to be emitting from very large recessed pockets. Similar to light protruding from recessed ceiling lights.

I could not see the craft due to all of the light pollution. It was a clear night, so there there were no clouds for the city lights to reflect off of which would have made an excellent background. I could not give an estimate of the size of the lights or how high it was hovering since it happened so quickly.

However, they came across as very, very large. If I had to guess the shape of the object, I would guess that it was a triangular shape due to the positioning of the lights. After the lights disappeared, I quickly turned into the Braum's parking lot to scan the sky.

After not seeing anything for roughly 10 minutes, I turned around and drove through exactly as I had just done to make sure I wasn't seeing a reflection on my window or a streetlight or something. Whatever it was, it was hovering in an open area that could not be mistaken for anything. I used Solidworks with Photoworks to sketch out what the lights looked like before they shut off.

I also used Google Earth to show where I was driving and the approximate location of the lights. I will email those to the address listed below.

Bright light moving West to East in Northwest Arkansas.Then vanished into thin air! I went outside with my cat and noticed a bright light to the West of my house. Initially I thought it was an airplane coming straight toward my house at about 500ft.

Then I noticed that the light was not flashing like an airplanes light do, and the light was moving slower than an any airplane I have ever seen. I tried to tell myself that it was just an airplane coming toward me so it only appeared slow and from the angle it was approaching I could only see the front headlights. I now doubt it was an airplane because it simply disappeared.

Vanished.Gone. I have never seen anything like it.

It was as bright as Venus on a clear night, but was moving from the West to the East at a very slow rate, and then simply was gone. Anyone else in NW Arkansas see this light?.

Brilliant white object moving to Northeast at high altitude The craft appeared as brilliant white light moving from Southwest to Northeast. It was visible for perhaps a minute at most. Magnitude was about the brilliance of Jupiter on clear night.

No navigation or strobe lights were visible when viewed through binoculars. If the object were high enough to reflect sunlight, it would have to been at an extreme altitude as it was well past sunset.

Red, blue and white flashing light hovering hundreds of feet in the air. Went out tonight to get some air and my eyes fell on a red, blue and white flashing light through the trees and above the neighbor's house. The actual craft would have been hundreds of feet in the air and over Sulpher Springs, Missouri.

I watched it for roughly 30 minutes as it seemed at times to have a tough time staying in the air and it seemed to sink very slowly towards the earth. after it eventually disappeared, I stayed to see if it would come back and it didn't.

three lights moving in unison with no sound noticed something flying under the mountain line in the valley looking east.it was moveing to the west comeing towards me .had two lights that were very soft but the 3rd light was very brite the lights were moveing in perfect unison with each other.

ive seen many of c130 fly overs thought thats what this was but it had no sound at all!it turned due south about 3/4's of a mile from me goin towards lake nimrod and untill it was gone if it was c130's i would have heard something thank you.

Large red/orange sphere sighted flying east for about five seconds. At approximately ten pm on August 22, 2009 I was outside on a blanket facing south. I was just stargazing, as there were a few nice meteors.

I noticed as I looked southeast a large, red/orange ball flying east at approximately 1500 feet, going fast. The object was in my sight for approximately five seconds, before leaving my view by going behind some trees. As I had been looking in that direction a few seconds before, and saw nothing, then looked west-northwest for a second, then looked back to the south when I observed the object, I have no idea where it came from.

I got up and went into my home to get a camera in the hope of seeing it again, but it did not come back this way. I live on a hill overlooking a pasture going down a valley to the south for two miles. I have a great view of this valley, with the east and west being blocked by woods.

This area is not a flight corridor, with the exception of three to four C-130’s that fly over during the week. This was not a plane. I was in the US Air Force, and love to fly, but this big sphere was in no way a light, in my opinion.

3 people witness a strange bright flash of light near the ground in my backyard. I got up at 2:22 a.m.

to go to the bathroom and noticed a bright flash out the bathroom window, I thought it was lighting and went to the window to see if it would strike again. As i was looking up in the sky the flash happened again but very low on the ground and it looked crisp white and rectangular in appearance. It actually looked like a camera flash from about 250 feet away.

There area that this flash occurred is an old garden plot grown up in weeds. A big clear field behind that. No houses for 1/4 mile.

I saw it flash bright one more time and I went to the bedroom and told my wife there was a a strange light in the backyard and I was going out there to see what it was. She got up and went to the window and I heard her say, "I just saw it too, what is it?" I told her I didn't know but I was getting my flashlight and going out there to see. I walked out through the back yard and pointed my light all around.

There was nothing , no sound either. Then as I ! was shining the light out in front of me my wife said, hey did you see it. I said no, she said to your left, and I pointed my light off to the left.

Nothing. Then she said can't you see that? I did it again, same spot. Nope I didn't see any flash.

About that time my hair stood up on the back of my neck. I began walking back to the house and I saw the flash reflect off the house. By this time my daughter had awaken hearing her mom talking in the dark bathroom out the window to me got her curious.

She saw it also. I then walked back out toward the flash and it looked like it was now right next to the ground as I could see the outline of the weeds in the light. It flashed twice right next to the ground.

Then a few minutes passed and I saw it flash but this time it was like a beam that pointed up in the sky away from us. Then it flashed again but very dull. Well, I had had enough of guessing what it was and decided to get in the car and drive around the block to the back of our! property and shine the car lights out there.

My daughter went! with me and she stayed in the car and I got out with my flashlight. I walked all over the area where we saw it. Nothing.

I drove back to the house and it had stopped flashing. My wife and daughter went to bed. I continued to watch out the bathroom window and for about 45 minutes nothing happened.

I had given up and just as I stepped out of the bathroom into the hall it flashed two more times. And then two more times after that. That is when I came to the computer and wrote this out.

I saw it flash 11 times.

A bright object that I identified to my boss incorrectly as the I.S.S.

She stated it was moving to fast to be the I.S.S.

and that it could only be viewed at specific times. This was not one of those. It moved quickly through the sky, higher than commercial air traffic.

The object than paused and shot directly up/away. You could tell it was moving "up" or away because the light dimming as distance passed. We we're both in shock and now are very much believers.

We both told each other, "dear god, I was glad someone else saw that".

Two moving objects in space It was a clear night and I could see an object in space moving very quickly, like that of a satelite as seen in space by a human being on earth. Then I noticed there was a second object hundreds of miles away from the first object, both moving in complete and utter sinc with each other. It was two objects, because there were stars between them, but they seemed to mirror one another, never differing in distance from one another, both moving jaggedly but in complete sinc with one another, through space.

It struck me as the oddest thing I've ever seen. Speaking nothing of the strangeness of their movements at such obvious distance from eachother, the things resembled satelites in color and size. The whole thing lasted less than 5 minutes, until they were out of site beyond the tree line.

Strange green lights over Van Buren and Alma, Arkansas? Not sub station explosion. On or around 10:00 pm the electricity in Alma and Mulberry went out. We were told that a sub station had an explosion and the transformers were on fire.

At almost the same time my mother called in a panic and told me that my bother and my son were driving from Van Buren to Kibler on Kibler Hwy and as they crossed Arkansas St. they seen what they said the sky all of the sudden turned a turquoise green color. It flickered and it was large.

As they drove toward it the lights stopped and disappeared then re appeared further ahead and it kept doing this for nearly 8 minutes. They followed this for at least 3 miles and then all of the sudden it went away. My brother said it had no shape but it glowed and the glowing light flickered.

He said the size of the glow was massive. He called the police and they said they had nearly 30 reports of strange lights in the area at the time. The news said it was an explosion at a sub station but my brother said that was NOT what he seen.

My son is almost 14 and is scared to death from what he seen. I want to know if there has been any other reports on this web site and if so i would love to hear them. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information.

A dark gray giant boomerang shaped UFO with 8 dim lights spotted at Berryville pond. The object could best be described as the shape of a giant boomerang. It appeared to be a dark gray color.

Though the front of the UFO was boomerang shaped, it was unclear if there was any form of a tail or other parts to the UFO. It appeared to be flying at roughly 1000 ft. above the ground.

It had 4 very dim lights down each "wing", totaling 8 dim lights. The object was about 3/4 the size of a crop duster with it's wing span being approximately 14-16 ft. across.

It moved at a relatively fast speed but not extremely fast. It made one slight turn with out leaning to turn then shortly disappeared afterwards. In total we watched it for about 10 seconds.

Strangely we heard no noise despite the fact it was so close.

Bright, yellow light traveling next to a jet over Arkansas My nephew and I were sitting out on the deck, enjoying the stars. Every once in a while, some clouds would roll in, but at the time of the sighting, the sky was clear. We were facing the West and off to the SW I noticed an aircraft traveling West to East.

I pointed it out to my nephew. From the lights and sound, I could easily tell it was a jet. A few seconds later, right overhead (North of the jet), we see this bright, yellow light moving about the same speed as the jet, moving along with it, West to East, about the same speed as the jet.

It seemed like it might have had two very faint red lights on the rear, but no lights on any wings. You could barely make out red lights because the yellow light was so bright. We heard the jet briefly, but didn't notice any sound from the yellow light object.

Maybe it got drowned out from the jet noise. I've sat out on my deck lots of nights and see lots of aircraft flying overhead and am used to the light configurations on them, but I haven't seen anything really like this before. I don't believe it was a meteor, or any kind of space debris, or satellite because it was moving too slow and didn't seem to "burn up".

It was too bright to be a satellite. The yellow light was a lot brighter than I'm used to and no lights at all on the craft were flashing. They just stayed on and were consistent in color and brightness the entire time.

Whatever it was I think it was flying around the same altitude as the jet, or maybe higher, because even though it was at night, I've seen low flying planes and helicopters at night and can usually make out their outline. I couldn't make out any outline on this. Even low flying planes with their landing lights don't seem as bright as this thing was.

At first I thought it might be ISS, but I've seen it before and it seemed a bit too slow to be ISS, and brighter from what I remember, plus there were the two faint, red lights to the rear of it that didn't seem consistent with ISS. I thought maybe this might be! some ki nd of new aircraft I'm not used to seeing, maybe military since the jet was near. If anyone can solve this mystery, I'd greatly appreciate it.
