bright green light falling from the sky Well I was talking on my phone to my girl friend and it was just getting dark and I looked up over a house and all of the sudden I saw a bright green light fall out of the sky and turn to the left and go really fast out of sight. It was just getting dark it was the second one i have seen but the other one was in Oregon and it exploded.

Red Lights outline an object in the sky I saw this object on 2 separate nights and in different locations. The first time was on December 17, 2002 at 9:00-9:30pm, for about 1 minute while returning from a trip to central Arkansas to my home in Jonesboro, AR. The 2nd observation was on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2002, again between 9:00 and 9:30 pm with another witness from my parent's backyard in Jonesboro.

I have been thinking about making this report for a long time but, after reading many reports in this database, I had not read any descibing a similar object until this week. Several days ago I read a report of a sighting on 9/25/03 with a similar object described. Not only that but the sighting was in the same location as my first sighting and at the same time of night.

My first sighting on December 17, 2002 occured as follows: I was driving north on Hwy. 67 and at about 1 mile southeast of Newport, AR I exited 67 on an offramp to the right and stopped at a stop sign before making a right turn on to hwy 14. While stopped at the stop sign I looked ahead and slightly up and saw the object about 30 degrees above the horizon and approximately 1 mile away from me.

I am a former private pilot and I would judge the object to have been 300-500 feet above the ground. The object was moving east to west at a speed so slow my guess is it was about 30 mph or less. Although I describe it as an object what I actually saw was about 7 or 8 lights.

I had the impression that the lights were attached to an object and may have outlined the shape of it. I do not recall how many lights there were even after seeing it a second time several weeks later. The lights were a dim red and steady, not flashing, and the placement of them would outline a football or egg shape.

The outline of the lights was as large as my hand held at arms length. I do not remember the weather that day or night but the object was well below any cloud ceiling there would have been. I watched the object move slowly west for about 1 minute or less (I couldn't hear any sound), made a right turn and continued home on Hwy 14 heading east.

The second sighting of this same (or a similar) object was on Chistmas Eve, December 24, 2002 from my parent's backyard, again at about 9:30pm in Jonesboro, AR. Again it was to the north of us (another witness was with me) and again it was slowly traveling east to west. It was slightly further away from me this time and, as a consequence, the red lights were a little dimmer.

I have no doubt that this was the same type of object I had seen two weeks earlier. I.

Boomerang shaped objects in Arkansas This happened here a couple of nights ago. A middle aged couple was driving home on State 254 when they saw 2 boomerang shaped flying craft hovering over a neighbor's field. On at least one of the crafts a series of lighted windows could be seen with occupants moving around inside.

When the couple turned around to go down the neighbors driveway, the objects vanished. They turned around to go home and when they arrived, their college aged daughter was waiting for them. She had just arrived home from college from the opposite direction and excitedly told them about seeing a triangle shaped object up the road, before they could tell her about what they'd seen.

This area is very rural. I did not personally see this. I am a friend of the person who owned the field.

The object did not look anything like a hilocopter or airplane.never seen anything like it before. this happened when the sky was darkening in the east, i was outside playing basketball with my brother when he looked up and said wat is that? i'm not sure wat it was but i think it must have been a ufo.

the light was just clear or white and was in the northern sky, i couldnt tell the shape because it was a good ways up in the sky. it didnt have the trail of gas and smoke like an airplane and the light didn't flash. then it just disappeared.

Large, white/gray v-shaped object, flying silent. This evening my wife and I were in our backyard comenting on what a clear night it was when I noticed a very large, white/gray v shaped flying object. When I told my wife to look in the same direction, she noticed it immediately! The object was flying south east and made no sound at all and there where no lights visible.

We observed it for about 15 seconds then we lost sight of it when it passed behind some trees. There is an Air Force base just north of Little Rock.

Jet chasing ball of light It was Just after dark last night I was outside in my yard raking leaves. I have a building in my back yard that I use as a recreation room,I have a night light on the outside of it. Strangly the light went out for no apparent reason it went out,not to say that had anything to do with what happend next,but I saw a jet,it was a fighter jet flying straight ahead so I walked to the middle of the yard so I could get a better look at the plane.

Where I was standing before the trees were in the way.Then I could see a ball of light directly in front of the jet,the jet was clearly in pursuit of the craft,I yelled for my little girl to come take a look and she thought it was really cool. so as the jet gained on the craft the next thing I saw was wild,It turned out of the path of the jet and went straight up and it was gone, a few seconds later here came another jet in the same path.

These jets 4 of them circled the erea for at least a hour,Strange. So far I havn't talk to anyone else who saw it.

Small white changing object seen flying curving path in blue sky. Object seen straight overhead -followed to horizon. 6:14pm Arkansas My wife and I arrived home from work between 6:11 and 6:14 PM (Central) I looked into the sky straight up and slightly northeast.

I saw a commercial air plane flying East at high altitude. The plane was leaving a dissapating contrail. I saw a very white object that I first thought was a lone white crane (bird).

I thought it was this type of bird because it was so white. The sun was obviously upon it. At first sight it also seemed to be 'flapping'.

I have to rule out this object as a bird. Due to several reasons: 1. The 'flapping' was very irregular.

2. The 'bird' reached the far horizon in 60 seconds. 3.

It was still visible through the haze of the horizon, towards the sun. (No bird could reflect that much light.) 3.

The speed it reached the horizon combined with its altitude. 4. Odd pattern of flight.

I rule out an aircraft. 1. No contrail.

2. Obviously different when compared to the airliner we saw at the same moment in the sky. 3.

Path of flight was SE with several fairly rapid curves more easterly then more southerly then back to the SE. 4. The speed of the object.

5. The apparent 'flapping' which now can only be described as 'shape changing' as it went into the horizon. I rule out a satelite in orbit, or the space station, or space shuttle.

1. The sky was still blue and the sun shining. Only something the size of the current space station could have reflected so much light.

2. The path of flight was not a staight line. 3.

The space shuttles have been grounded for months. Across the street from me two spanish speaking gentlemen also witnessed the object. From their angle they could see it flying into the horizon and farther south for 10-15 seconds longer than I could.

A white object raceing over Monett towards Manila I was rideing the bus home from school as usual. I was looking out of my window and suddenly a sphere shaped object raced out of the clouds. It hoverd in the sky for about 4 or 5 minutes and raced of into the distance.

It was white and moved at an extreme speed that I have never seen before. I have been interested in ufos and usos for many, many years and in the countless documentrys I have seen, I have never seen any thing like it. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate.

Midnight Sighting over Black River Refuge Was travelling late on 08/28/02. At midnight I seen a vary bright star to the west as i turned on Arkansas State Route 90 going to Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. The sky was cloudless ful of stars, and it was hot out that evening about 85 F.

As I was driving south the star I noticed got larger and brighter. I pulled over because it seemed to be following me, but kept going. Then it droppedin altitude over the black river refude area.

Then 3-4 smaller red lights came out from it! I was damned scared, i got the hell ou of there becaus this was no airplane. I got into delaplaine, ar an saw another truck so i pulled over but the driver was asleep, the truck eas runing lights on but he was asleep very strange. by this time I have seen noone else on Arkanasas State Route 90 comming from Walnut Ridge or behind me.

The bright star was following me and there was a red light flying to the east of me, the redlight pulsed it must have traveled aboput 50 ft above ground.I went to O'Keene and saw nobody there so I floored it by then coming to Walnut Ridge. Got inot town and the objects were gone.

I am a retired Air Force Officer (Lt Colonel), Korean and Veitnam Confliect Veteran, I am not crazy or deranged but have been a skeptic in light of my experiences in USAF, now do not know what to believe. I have seen and flown in more than my fairshare of aircraft, these were not earthly origin aricraft, they were to adavcned to do the maneuavers I saw, This whole chase an observation period lasted 45 minutes. My radio did not work because all I got was static noise, stattio after station.

a circular disc 25 ft. wide.with a golden lighted triangle on the bottom of the craft.

I and a friend were out one night observing a area were i had observed numerous ufos before nightly near columbia county road 62 ufos hanging around trains Near Stephens AR. and A ufo spotted us watching them.and we were pursued by it to a nearby house.

at which point the ufo come over county RD.62 and sit above my vehicle about 50 feet for 3 mins while i was on the porch getting the homeowners to call sheriffs dept. The ufo left flying over the house.

Then the ufo stopped behind the house. and then 2 piston ring shaped bands around craft structure turned clockwise and the other band turned counter- clockwise. and it flew off.

The craft was a dark pewter metal.and the bottom was made of fiber glass looking material. With a 3 point lighted golden triangle on the bottom of the craft.

Two horizontal rows of bright amber lights in the sky having no sound, after approximately 5 minutes they disappeared. My husband, my son and myself saw lights in rows or formation in the sky. My husband, taller than I, saw approximately 16 lights.

He saw them first. When he realized it was not the moon or any star, he called me ( approximately 2 minutes). When I went onto the front porch, I saw in the sky, in the timberline, approximately 12 or more lights in the sky.

The lights were in two horizontal rows or appeared to be. I could make out approximately 6 lights or more in a row. The lights were sort of amber in color, but very bright.

The lights were too far for me to see any particular shape to the formation other than straight lines. My first thought was stadium or ballpark lights, we watched for approximately 1 to 2 minutes. I listened and could hear no sound other than the air conditioner and the television.

I grabbed my shoes and took off for our truck to get our binoculars so that I could get a better look. I grabbed the binoculars and took off down our road at a fast walk or trot. My husband was following about 20 foot behind and our son had stopped at the end of the drive.

I had gone approximately 40 foot just getting ready to look with the binoculars when the lights went out. Just like flipping a switch. Our son came onto the front porch a few seconds after I went out.

He thought it was flares or something. So, he saw the lights. He also mentioned that we should check that area regarding the livestock.

I called the local Sheriff's office and the State Police to see if anyone had called in a sighting or saw something unusual. Both departments said, no. We lived in a rural area.

Very small and very quiet. We have lived here for 2 years we go out at nigjt to listen. There is wildlife in this area and we have livestock.

To date we have never seen anything like what we saw tonight. We are close to Fort Smith, Arkansas which has a small airport and an "Air National Guard" we are used to occasional sights and sounds of some of these type aircraft. What I saw tonight did not fit into any previously seen or heard aircraft.

I wish I could have gotten closer before the lights went out. I'm 51 years of age, my husband is 53 and our son is 15.

Moved right to left, Flickered orange, blue and green. With binoculars, we could see it was saucer shaped. I was awakened by a phone call from my neighbors to see this thing in the sky.

I got my binoculars to see this thing that was got me up at this time of night. It was my first UFO experience. The object moved from light to left and would flicker green, blue and orange to the nakad eye.

With my binoculars we could see that the top was blue, the center was orange and the bottom was green. As we observed it slowly moved westward. It was visible for about an hour before it left our sight heading west at around 230 am in the morning.

we saw a saucer shaped object silver chrome like,bright sunlight bouncing off of it. hovering in place. my adult daughter and I were heading west and saw this object we both saw it above the tree line about a mile away.

as we drove closer to it we could see it more clearly above the tree tops. it was about a mile away and about a 30 degrees above the horizon. we observed it for a couple of minutes and it never moved just reflected the sun like a mirror would.

after observing it, we headed south and had to take care of business that day . neither one of us has ever seen anything like that. and we are both really knowledgeable about aircraft having lived close to air ports for years.

we have seen weather balloons, blimps, parachutes, or commercial airliner , private aircraft. or militay.or helicopters ect.

this object was different than anything we had ever seen. it was very big because it looked big in the sky. it was amazing to see it hover in one spot.

it has made a believer out of us there are UFO's .

Not alot of motion. We were driving east of Highway 25 when our youngest child had mentioned a flash of green light in the sky. In our amazement, we pulled over and decided to obserb.

The green light suddenly turned red and another flash of green light apppeared. About this time, the red flash of light, once green, disappeared. By now, the other green light had turned red as well, then hovered there for a few mintues, then sort of meandered through the sky, then also disapeared.

Brillant object over baseball game for 2 hours I was had my son's baseball game, and it was quite late. All other games at the park were over and all the lights were off but his game in progress. I was sitting in my car in the parking lot when I happened to look up and to the left.

There was a huge bright glowing light just about 1,000 feet about the trees. I was shocked, there was no sound at all and the light was so bright you could not look straight had it. After watching it for about thirty minutes I could see red lights around it.

It would float across the sky. It stayed there the whole 3 hours I was in the parking lot. When the game was over, I thought great somebody will see the object but as soon as the game ended,the object floated off west of me.

My family and I were driving down a country road on our way home from visiting friends. My son and I were on the passenger side, ( front and back)and I had just commented to him how pretty the stars were this far from the city. We noticed there were a lot of planes in the sky and how they were flying so close together.

Then 2 huge lights appeared. They were about 3 inches apart from each other and bright white. They were bigger than any of the stars and right in the middle of all the planes.

Suddenly the light on the left became very bright and as big as a baseball, just as it started to fade the light on the right did the same thing. They did this back and forth about 3 times, then they both lit up and disappeared. We made my husband pull over and sat there looking at the sky for about 15 minutes before he lost patients and wanted to leave.

If it were up to me and my son we would have sat there all night. It was truley amazing and something we will never forget!.

Two lights, same spot, about one min. apart,one moveing east,one west. The first light was just off from the big dipper,it was not moveing,very bright and large.

Then it began to move at a fairly fast pace to the eastgetting smaller and dimmer as it went,until it was gone. The second then apeared in almost in same area but was smaller to start and was moveing from the start, it zigzaged to the west until gone.

orange light with other lights( up to 3) attached to the object,moving east to west at a high rate. saw an orange light near the big dipper. the light was moving east to west at a high rate of speed.

as the object passed over i could see tiny lights on the side of the object atleast two lights, possibly three, the object was extremly far away. the lights were to the side of the object almost like they were attached. this is the second object i have seen in three days.

there was an aircraft going the opposite direction,that is what originaly caught my attention.

More strange events in skies of rural Ark Wed evening (5/22/02)I counted 11 lighted objects moving through the skies at random courses,,They were dimly lit with an occasional one brightly lit.I assumed that they were satellites,I have spent a considerable amount of time each evening watching the skies because of my very close triangle sighting 1/25/02.Saturday night I had company and I mentioned the lights,when I saw some and called to the family member to witness,she said that she believed "they moved too fast to be satellites"(She had a sighting of muliple lights that zig zagged for hours at a large millitary base up north).

Tonight(2/26/02)I was watching again and they appeared,one after another, most of them had different origins but the same destination,due north,(two travelled south together from north).I called my neighbor 3 or 4 times to witness each occurance,or the brightest ones,,she was fascinated to say the least.Then a low flying one appeared in the south west heading due north,,I taped it for roughly 3 minutes,,I was able to calm down and steadily keep it in focus and use the back ground stars as a reference to it's unusal flight(randon,lazy zig zagging).

This is my innumerable sighting but 4th taped event.I have never seen anything like these events until this year. ((NUFORC Note: We suspect the witnesses were observing satellites.
