Black saucer wobbled slowly as it gained altitude. One object seen. Black disc, wobbling (similar to a coin spinning slowly on desk), horizontal orientation, 1 wobble/second.
Wobble allowed a clear disc shape to be seen, then flat and not any noticable hight dimension to it. Gained altitute slowly from about a 30 degree angle off of the horizon against an overcast sky. Moved to my left while rising until it reached the lower level of clouds, then it moved to the right and eventually stopped moving or gaining altitude at approx.
65 degree angle from horizon. Eventually, the clouds covered it. Also, there were no lights or any other markings visible on the craft which seemed about a mile away.
To my eye, at that distance, it looked about the same size as a street sign from 60 yards away. No helicopter or jet sounds heard.

Chevron shape with a center light followed by 5 round, intensely bright lights. Going home on I-5S after a church christmas celebration in Portland, OR. I saw a very large, exceedingly bright light in the sky.
It did not appear to be moving very fast and I was not at first able to make out any shape. I kept looking out my window, on the drivers side, of my car. As I was traveling SE, it appeared to be traveling in a north westerly direction.
As I traveled past it, I was able to quite clearly see the chevron shape of the lights. I could not determine any shape of the body. It was too dark and I was traveling approximately 55-60 mph.
My sighting consisted of glancing at the object and back to the road about 7-10 times. I almost ran off the road twice because I didn't want to take my eyes off of it. The formation of the lights was one light at its peak, with, I think, 5 additional lights on each side.
The lights were under the craft and exceedingly bright. They were very clearly round, evenly spaced and on continuously. They did not blink intermittently or change color and they were of a very brilliant and intense.
The size was immense. I saw an plane flying in the distance and even taking into account the distance I was from the plane, the size of the plane was about the size of a fly in comparison. The craft I saw also had one red light at the end of the right side of the other lights and I believe it was blinking.
I am a mother, a professional in finances and am in the church program I was returning from and probably won't share my sighting with anyone else unless they bring it up.

6 rotating, flashing spheres of colored light,in night sky above Chiloquin Ridge, Oregon Looking to the southeast of Chiloquin Ridge we saw 6 spheres of flashing light just below the treeline. These balls of light seemed to be rotating and flashing red, blue green, and gold lights.for 10 or so minutes the lights bounced and moved erratically in the sky, after which it appeared they were flashing to each other for several minutes, and then proceeded to form a v formation and flew in sort of circle for another few minutes before separating and began bouncing and moving erratically again, finally moving farther out in the sky.
Also, while the lights were in the treeline -there was also a bright light below them, backlighting the trees, making the forest floor, and manzanita bushes glow.we watched this for about 45 minutes before these lights stopped flashing and moved very quickly toward the south and dissappeared, the bright light in the forest below went out, leaving us in pitch black darkness. My husband and my self are in our late 40's ,college educated ,myself now a full time house wife,my husband holds a managerial position at a local company, our son 13 is in jr.
high school. The three of us observed these lights after going out to close up the barn and put the dog up for the night.

I was headed North on I-5 when I saw a glowing green object streaking across the night sky and descending towards Tualatin. I was headed north on I-5, and had just passed the North Wilsonville exit. I was travelling at approx.
70 mph. Just past the exit, the highway inclines for a ways, then flattens, and then descends down into a valley. The Tualatin exit is at the bottom of the valley.
As I began to level out after the incline, I noticed a greenish glowing object streaking across the sky. The object was also headed north, but was travelling faster than me, and appeared to be on a downward path. I don't know how high up in the sky it was.
maybe 200-300 feet? I don't really have any reference point to provide a good estimate. It was fairly large, however, and for a moment (because of the whole terrorist scares around the world) wondered if this were a missile about to hit. It was somewhat spherical, or ovular, almost reminiscent of a comet, but I didn't think to pay very close attention to the shape.
The object's speed was constant, and it descended down into the valley (mentioned above). I fully expected to see/hear an explosion of some sort, as it was descending very quickly, but nothing happened. I was still too far back to see down into the valley, so I lost sight of it once it went below the top of the hill.
When I began heading down towards the Tualatin exit, I couldn't find the object anywhere in the sky. And there didn't appear to be a crash of some sort (no burning buildings, etc.).
So, I have no idea what happened to it, or what it was. The duration of time wasn't any longer than 5 seconds or so from the time I noticed it and the time it vanished. I didn't see anything mentioned on the late night news, nor in the newspaper this morning, so I searched the web to see if something was posted about it .
I couldn't find anything, but I found this site. So, I'm now just wondering if anyone else saw it and possibly what happened to it once it reached Tualatin.

From the south and passing near intersection of se holgate and 30th ave it banked and headed over the river towrds downtown PDX. I saw two strong rounded lights, like headlights, coming my way at an altitude a little low for passenger jet, quite quiet. the f-15's have cruised over consistently since 9/11 but this was larger.
It was of similiar shape as a fighter. as it banked I saw a flashing red light similiar to Passenger jet's blink maybe twice and, at same time I saw two circular lights on bottom of craft. it was quiter and slower and a different type of shape than i'm used to seeing.
i pretty much watch the sky every nite. i've seen a few ufo's in my life. one very dramatic in ca.
and i seen alot of planes. this one was different enuf to wonder about. the one other thing i'd mention is that the type of evening it had been for me was consistent with my experience with my previous sightings.
there was a little something simpatico about the event of my evening. in a playful way things seemed a touch otherly, if u know what i mean. don't let anyone tell you what you've seen is readily explained.
trust your eyes and your instincts.

Huge bright hovering object. What I saw; On October 26, 2008 between 18:30 & 19:00 while returning from a hunting trip on Mt. Hood, in Oregon, traveling East on highway 42 near the Summit Lake exit my brother and I saw a light.
I ask my brother if he could see the light, he said yes. At first we thought it was car lights, the reason we thought it was car lights was we were a little higher than the lights, as we started to moved down the hill. My brother said that it was way to big to be car lights & we noticed that it was stationary (Hovering), we continued to move down the hill and the stationary object became higher than us.
My brother sped up to try and get closer to get a better look at it. We were no longer able to see it. The object was really huge, I would guess about a half mile across.
I couldn’t believe something that big could be just sitting in the air like that. From mid body up was all brightly lit with a stark white light. I could also make out what looked to be windows around the middle.
There was a bubble dome on the top also emitting light.

a translucent sphere the size of a helicopter crusing over the river at approx. 40 miles an hour While in bed looking out the window from the lower level of the boat I saw a sphere approximately the size of a helicopter cruise by at about 40 miles an hour. It appeared to be above the shoreline in front of the dark shadowed mountains but not above the mountains in the sky.
I was gazing out the window and it suddenly dawned on me "what was that". There were no lights on it which I felt was odd but it appeared to be sort of luminesque and sort of a brownish coppery color and translucent. It moved in a very straight line over the water not wavering or turning just "crusing down the river".
The time was approx 2:30 am and there were no lights on the water, very quiet except for the boat engine. The sky was clear and somewhat moonlit. I asked others if they saw it the next day but none had.

Observed what appeared to be a dim satellite make a U-turn, then accelerate to an unbelievable speed. At approximately 9:00 PM on the evening of October 16th in Portland Oregon I observed what I took at the time as a satellite moving in a Northwest direction. One of my hobbies is Astronomy so I often look up to the heavens.
I've seen the Space Station, Mir, Space Shuttles, Sky Lab and countless Satellites. This Satellite was different though. It had all the characteristics of being a Satellite, such as altitude, flying in a straight line and speed equivalent to that of a Satellite.
What I though odd about this object was that is was quite dim, which made it hard to visually track. I wondered why, being it was so high in the sky, didn't reflect the sun off of it? It most definitely had the altitude for the reflection. I kept watching it for about 12 seconds and then it did something I have never in my life seen a Satellite, or anything else do, it made a U-turn, angled itself upward at about a 40 degree angle, maintained it's speed for 4 more seconds and then it accelerated to a speed I don't think you could put in miles-per-hour.
All I saw was a streak leave the area where it was cruising at the speed of a Satellite. Get's you to thinking, doesn't it? ((NUFORC Note: If the estimate of the direction is correct, the object traveling to the northwest could not have been a satellite. Altitude is impossible to estimate accurately without the aid of triangulation.

Saw a 2 tailed chevron shaped object, head like a snowball flying over Cascades, possible Vandenberg missile? This evening just past 19:00, I saw an unusual white cloudy object over the Cascade Range SW of my location (6 miles N. of Madras). The object appeared to be traveling N to NW at high altitude.
It was chevron shaped, with two tails and a snowball shaped head. My grandson, who lives 7 miles S of my location, called and said he saw it, but saw a red glow that I could not see from my location. The object looked similar to a Minuteman Missile Launch that we saw on 10/2/99 at 19:08, when we were 5 miles above Prairie City, Oregon (see NUFORC).
I checked the Vandenberg AFB Launch Schedule website which indicated a launch was planned for this evening at 19:00. I called the Redmond Airport, but they were closed. The Madras sheriff said they had gotten several calls and the Bend TV station KPTV said they had gotten calls.

The hovering spotlight simply went out and disappeared completely My roommate and I were exiting off I-5 onto Crater Lake Hwy at dusk when we saw a bright spotlight hovering slightly up and down just a few hundred feet off the ground with no sound. Medford is in a valley and the light was below the hilltop line. We've both been in the military and we know it wasn't a helicopter or balloon or fireworks.
After a few minutes, the very bright spotlight went out extremely suddently and there was nothing left in the sky. It was simply gone.

SLOW MOVING COMET LOOKING OBJECT SPOTTED NEAR CRESWELL, OREGON. I WAS DRIVING SOUTH ON I-5, AT 7:02 OR 7:03 PM PST. I NOTICED IN THE SOUTHER HORISON A COMET LOOKING OBJECT ABOUT 20 TO 30 DEGREE ELEVATION.
OBJECT PRESENT WAS MOVING VERY SLOW. I WAS DRIVING AT 65 MILES AN HOUR. IT TOOK ME BY SURPRISE AND THE FIVE OR SO SECONDS IT TOOK TO REGISTER IN MY MIND IT WAS VERY CLEAR AND AND THE SKY WAS AZURE IN APPEARANCE.
THE OBJECT WAS VERY EASY TO SEE. I STOPPED THE VEHICLE ON I-5 AND FISHED OUT MY BINOCS TO GET A BETTER LOOK. IT WAS STILL IN THE SKY! I GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE, FOCUSED THE LENS AND IT WAS STILL PRESENT TO OBSERVE! AS I WAS LOOKING AT IT I SAW IT DISINCRATE.
THIS TOOK ABOUT THREE TO FOUR SECONDS. IT WAS NO LONGER THERE TO OBSERVE. WOW!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS GOING SO SLOW AND HAD A RATHER FLAT LEVEL MOVEMENT TO THE HORIZON DURING THIS EVENT.
I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE IT OCCURRED. I DID CALL 911 TO MAKE MY SITING A DOCUMENTED MATTER. MY NAME IS EMMET KONOW OF CRESWELL, OREGON ((Vandenberg rocket launch.

Bright fan shaped light which quivered and shimmered, finally swirling and vanishing. we saw a strangely formed light in the southern sky, below and west of the moon. The sky was dark enough to just make out stars.
The object moved from left to right and appeared to have a tail of light in a distinct fan shape behind it. The fan shape appeared to have a mist or vapor in the light, which quivered or shimmered and which was very bright. We stopped the car and turned off the engine but there was no sound (country road and very quiet).
The fan of light swirled and slowly dissipated and there was no further sign of anything. It was certainly not a star, airplane, or helicopter. The evening was completely clear with good visibility and no cloud.

The LIGHT is the TRUTH! Have you seen a UFO? This is the truth, my friend and I did, exactly three years ago, Oct. 2002. We were in a park and we saw a large star in the East sky the star grew in size instantly, and held size then grew instantly and held size it did this repeatedly about six times till it grew 3/4 the size of a Full moon, but at the brightest point it shot an INTENSELY BRIGHT white light down to earth, "the beam of light had thickness it was about 1/2 as thick as a fullmoons width.
" then it repeated its stair stepping but was getting smaller, holdingsize, getting smaller. about six times till it was the size of a Large star again, then it started moving it flew in an S shape up then back and around smoothly, then it just shot like a shooting star straight, like light speed and it was gone. This changed my life, I don't know and I know I don't know.
but I do know there is more. I would like to learn more, do you think that you could help us? What we saw, NOTHING in Nature, or Nothing Man made that could do that, Humans just do not have that type of power and it was not an exploding star or something one could explain away. I am wondering all the time.
What we saw was a show of control and power, There must have been other people who saw this, Its a big city a big state. but one problem is "people don't stop to look up" they are stuck watching tv. ? Thank you.

Triangular boomerang shape, dark gray/shadowy color, low altitude, silent, I was standing on the back porch as I often do, facing north, waiting for the dog to finish his business for the evening. It was just after 9pm. As I stood there, I looked up into the night sky as I often do, admiring the stars.
It was a clear sky, and off to the far north-northeast, something caught my eye. It looked like a distant shooting star, but that soon became unlikely to me, as it was moving horizontally in what seemed then to be from north to south, and it did not burn up and disappear as would be expected. About two to three seconds elapsed, and I found my eyes focusing in on a silent, shadowy, blur approaching my location overhead.
It was in the shape of what resembled a boomerang, about the size of a hang glider, or even slightly smaller. I was surprised to realize that it was actually at a very low altitude. I felt myself grasping to identify it, and trying hard to decide that it was simply a flock of travelling birds.
I believe that what I was trying to call birds were actually 5 or 7 small, dull white lights, and as the object came nearly directly overhead, I could easily see that these lights were on the V-shaped outer edge of a dark gray colored craft. In fact, the craft appeared to be made of a similar material to a B-1 stealth bomber, although it definitely was not a B-1. It was traveling north-northeast to south-southwest, at perhaps 75 feet above the treetops.
The craft was moving too quickly for a flock of birds, and yet considerably slower than what would ordinarily be the stall speed of an aircraft, perhaps 45-50 mph. Again, the object was completely silent as it passed nearly directly overhead, very stable and steady in course, at an altitude which I later realized would have been below normal radar detection. My experience was of an object that was only perhaps 8 feet across at best, and this was most puzzling of all.
I would not say it was large enough to carry people. I live in a suburban area, and watched it disappear over the neighbors' treetops soon after passing over my! head. T he lights may have changed color, but I am not certain of this.
Curiously, I've only had one other UFO sighting in my life, when I was an older child laying in the yard looking up at the stars, maybe fifteen or twenty years ago. That object was almost exactly the same as the one I saw recently, and I finally feel vindicated that the sighting I had then was indeed not a flock of birds.

Wing shaped UFO spotted above the Banks city area. It was hovering about 2 miles away at a pretty high altitude. I thought it was a B-2, or one of those old Flying Wings, but it was hovering in a still.
It looked alot like a B-2, it was blackish dark grey. It hovered for about 1 minute, then it sharply shot forward and then slowed down to a stop. It then hovered for about another minute and then it shot up at an angle into the sky and dissapeared.
I saw a ufo when I was 10 years old, but I havent been looking for them since. I have a major knowledge of aviation so, I can tell the differences between aircraft made in this world, and I know that wasnt something I've ever heard of or seen before. I dont know if it was making any noise due to a Cessna flying circles over head.
I called the Hillsboro Airport (our local airfield) and they said that they were not tracking anything in that direction, but they said that it was probabally a military jet from the Portland Airbase. Yeah right, the base only has F-15s as their jets, and they wouldnt be flying a jet that could do what this did around here. This was a UFO.

Noticed very bright color changing "star" 15 - 20% above horizon which had several smaller lights circle it. Noticed an object in the NW Hemisphere 15 - 20% above horizon. Looked like a very bright star which flashed brilliant red, blue and white light.
Several smaller lights could be seen encircling the most brilliant. It looked stationary for about ten minutes and then we noticed a slight side to side motion and it began to descend toward the horizon. It would come up and then down again until finally at 10:30 p.
m.(looked at watch) it went behind the mountain. The trajectory was down and to the North.
Couldn't see an object or if the lights were associated with a fuselage of any kind. The light of the object was very bright and didn't seem to dimminish throughout the whole event.
