Louisiana UFO Sightings in 2002

I have an entire armada of different type crafts appear in a short time and it is almost overwhelming! Tonight has been a most unusual night, since the Geminid began there has been many strange objects of "starlike" shape, these star shapes are silver and gold with flashing lights of green, blue and red, for each silver object a gold one is positioned beside it at an equal distance, there are 40 or more of these and as said these have been in the sky since the evening of 12/13/02 and appeared to use "meteor's" to seed clouds which they then engulfed. As of last evening they did not make or abosorb any more clouds, all have been stationary with the exception of 2 of which 1 chased an airplane a few nights ago and last night a gold one raced across the sky and became almost cigar shaped. Tonight the skys are very cloudy with heavy winds, the waether where I live is strange as few rain storms ever come over because they break and split apart prior, the clouds look like they are pouring into a hole at a place a mile or so away{this is the origination of a strange sighting last Sept}, many funnel clouds have formed and made way to this place, being funnel clouds are very common due to the weather pattern they got noticed tonight for pointing downward when usually they just roll across the sky.

Where they form is to the S-SW and were formed as they usually do across the sky but when approaching the convergence of the Westerly& Southerly winds{cause of weather pattern} the funnels pointed downward, when they reached the converging point an oval light would jet down toward the ground, this happened several times so I began retracing from N-S and was amazed to see these ovals hiding themselves in the funnels near where most of them form, when a funnel appeared to be dispersing the oval would come to the end of the tube/funnel and wait for small dark clouds to get near and then would hide behind them, I saw at least 50 do this, they are about the size of a gymnasium maybe even larger. Once I got an idea of what is happening I began to notice the clouds they hide behind if losing their funnel had distinct shapes, ! I was al most unsure if I could stand it all, some clouds had the shape of a flying V and bigger than the ovals and others triangular and yet some were chevron shaped, I saw 20+ of these. When I began looking thru my binoculars I could see ver faint red/range blue and green dots covring the chevron shaped objects and last Sept.

there were hundreds of the red/orange going into the sky, up then as if dancing then across the horizon with equal distance between, they appeared to be the same or similar dots, as well last Sept. the red dots appeared to be fighting with something to resemble a red dragon almost like a phoenix but not quite, the battle happened almost overhead but at once the stars seemingly exploded{may have been the "starlike" objects here now but I was'nt paying that much attention then} after a heavy fog covered most of the sky but left open the place from where they came from the ground, after 9/11/01 and this madness going on we contacted the Sheriffs Dept who responded with 4 deputies, most of the red balls were gone but 2 graciously appeared above a dead pine just as the deputies were writing me off as a "Knut", they had little to say about and I jokingly stated it probably to be "Swamp Gas" then they left, several nights later an octagonal craft came from the south going north{the UFO hole}, it had faint blacklights surrounding the edge but were on the underside, had 2 big lights across the face which resemble a ZZTop album cover and a rectangular set of red lights that would flash differently as if it were some type of communication, this craft is able to hover and move horizontal at great speeds, if I focused my binoculars a bit off te starlike objects could well be similar but the stars would have been made of several of these hex ones, I have several witnesses for each account !!! Back to tonights show, as well as the starlike, the red/orange dots, the chevron, triangular and Vshapes there were smaller ovals but they had a more oblong appearence. The small ovals did not use funnels but seemed to hold white clouds together and move from south to north as did the others, these would sometimes be in small groups of 4 or 5 in the same cloud, they moved on the clouds bottomside and disappeared as did the others.

Where the sky breaks the incoming storms approximately 2 miles south I would see a flicker now and then but with all the excitement it took a while to give them much attention, once I focused on them I saw small green, blue and red semi-cigar shapes that would scramble behind the clouds anytime a clear spot appeared, there were too many small dot and semi-cigar shapes to try to count. As of now the event is still happening and while peering out my sliding glass doors a gigantic rounded hexagonal shape with a bulging circle in the center just came over using a dark cloud for concealment. I have an idea that I may be near a centralized location for some sort of being that is capable of technology beyond ours, that uses things from the atmosphere for an unknown purpose, is very diverse and that lives under ground as a large society of sorts as well as occasionally emerging and re-entering for the reason of stockpiling whatever it is they take from the atmosphere/clouds.

Apparently they are peaceful enough because I have had nor heard of any encounters with them other than sightings. I also believe I may be in way over my head in trying to unvail any more information alone, where would one begin to look for help ??? I am going to close now and continue observing and will gladly inform you all of anymore findings !.

I only observed a single point of light. It was traveling north to south. It was located north of the handle of the big dipper.

Then it just vanished. There were no strobe lights or other colored lights. I was curious if it was a satilite, or an asteroid? I didn't think satilites went north to south.

It was only visible for a few seconds, then it just vanished. It didn't appear to be in the atmosphere, but further out in space.

A small dot that didnt' seem to move as a jet flew under as it was passing and dot looked white and we watched 15 min. A small dot that barely moved southward almost stoping as we watched a jet flying east to west passing below it and it looked white or silver at about 70 Deg.angle up I took picteres in black and white I need to develope.

bright lights appear suddenly at high altitude during a clear day ,make formation and disappear It was near lunch time at our job site, we were building a house in a busy neighborhood. The weather was clear and cool, around 70 degrees. As I rounded the corner to the front of the homes'exterior, I handed some material to a co-worker whom was overhead on a scaffolding.

I noticed 3 faintly visible colors in the sky. They were red, yellow and blue, respectively. The sat motionless in the sky, a fair distance apart from one another in no particular formation.

Then as I started to point out the objects to the rest of the co-workers, 4 additional objects appeared from my right. They were also very high up and varied in color, 2 yellow, a red, and a white, respectively.They approached the original 3 crafts slowly, where they made an enclosed, triangled formation briefly.

Then they broke apart and slowly disappeared into the blue abyss of the sky, some moving outward and disappearing while the others plainly just disappeared. One co-worker thought they may have been high altitude skydivers at first, but they never did descend and when they disappeared, he was left completely astounded. A giant black orb, looming over Baton rouge. I pulled into a Burger King. I was about to get out of my car when I saw a big black object in my rearview mirror, at first I thought the mirror had something on it, put when I got out of the car and looked at the sky I saw a big black sphere hovering in mid air.

Then, after a moment, it just vanished.

south to north movement, possiblt light reflected from the sun, it appeared to be rotating like on an axis. at the university of new orleans. 75-80 degrees from directly up(90 degrees) and to the west.

this aircraft was travelling from south to north. the sky had alot of clouds, white clouds and 'mostly cloudy'. what got my attention was that it appeared to me to be rotating as it was moving to the north.

every few seconds it appeared that the sun would reflect and the object would 'light up', then it would return to a possibly metallic color. i don't see many aircraft travelling over new orleans in a south to north path. this object was travelling fast, faster than i think 'normal' aircraft travel.

as it would go behind some clouds i would try to project the next place i would seee it. the object each time would get there faster than i had expected.

A huge orange triangle heads toward Earth! I was about 9 (Im now 12) and I had just come home from school when my mom noticed all the cars pulling over. We asked some people outside their car why everyone was doing this. He pointed to the sky.

A orange triangular craft with a circle in the middle of it was hovering in the sky. It was way too high for anyone to make out what it was but we could tell it was huge. It stayed in the same spot for about 15 minutes (since we got there) and it slowly turned into just the round circle in the middle.

No one could believe it. The orange triangular craft formed into a circle right in front of our eyes! It starting coming closer to Earth. Still high in the sky but closer.

It started moving in circular patterns in the sky. Heading even closer. Then it instantly went back up and vanished.

Spheres in naked eye visuals and in developed photos as well, in NW Louisiana. Two spheres appeared in developed photos taken of sky, clouds, and "trails". Was not any "naked eye" sighting involved.

However, I did have a naked eye visual of one sphere later on, coming directly from exact East to West heading. Sphere was a bright golden/yellow color, with the light source appearing to be from the object itself and not reflective light from the sun. The weather was stable, not humid, and fairly clear sky, save for one small cloud formation.

The sphere was about the size of a "b-b" held at arms length. It traversed across about 1/3 of the sky in about 5 seconds, then entered the one small cloud and never exited the cloud. The sky past the cloud was very blue and clear and unobstructed and a good visual of the sphere sould have occurred had it left the cloud formation.

It either "blinked out" in the cloud or perhaps ascended straight up?? There was no contrail coming from the sphere, no sparks, and it flew rapidly in a very straight trajectory. No sound evident from it. Was exactly the same type sphere as those in the photo I emailed to you and I consistently have these sphere type objects show up in other developed "sky" photographs of mine, as well.

Have had many anomalous craft appear in other photos, as well as visual sightings that I have reported to NUFORC and other organizations through most of my life. I have other sphere photos that may be of interest. The one I emailed was best for clarity.

Time: around 19:30pm Location: New Orleans,LA (near Mississippi River). When I was getting home and getting off the car, I saw a silver oval shape object (it is hard to describe, but I will said is was like a computer mouse shape). The sky was clear and still with some daylight, so what got my attention was that the object was not moving and did not looked like a plane.

I also noticed that some birds started flying toward the direction of the object (but the object was pretty far from them) and when I took a minute to watch something else, the subject was gone. We spotted a UFO we think! Me and my friend were out side just talking on the phone. My friend looked up and seen this triangle like object moving all around the sky. He told me to look up.

so i then seen the object flying all around the sky.I asked my friend if it was me or was the object moving at a high rate of speed or was it just me. Like from the ground it was moving in about a 10ft.

patern around the sky. It had a red light on it and apeared to have 3 white light's on each corner. it was really to dark to see anything else on it.

but we sat there and watched it for about 30min.or so and i mentioned that there was a ufo site. We came in the house and got on the internet and found this site.

Then it would start moving again. It was too fast to be a plane. We could hear it also.

Bright blue/white light flies silently across evening sky. I was sitting in my backyard swing when I noticed a bright blue/white light flying across the sky from the north. The light appeared to be at low level, I would estimate not higher that 5000 feet.

The light flew slowly across the sky in a straight line until it was almost due east of my position then it turned at about a 45 degree heading toward the southeast. There was no sound, which I thought odd because of the low altitude. The object was the same blue/white color as a mercury vapor street lamp with no apparent red or green navigation lights and no strobe.

A few minutes after the object had disappeared behind the tree line, a commercial aircraft flew over at an estimated altitude of 30,000 feet and it's engines were clearly audible. I'm a retired aircraft mechanic with 20 years service in the Air Force and I am quite familiar with most of the aircraft that frequent Barksdale AFB and the Shreveport airport. This is a first for me.

I don't know what it was. ((NUFORC Note: ISS flew over Louisiana at 21:01 hrs. on this date, but the description provided by the witness does not appear to conform to the Space Station.

Fiery object sighted in NW Louisiana Observed a bright orange/white object about the size of a B-B held at arms length. It had a bright light "trail" behind it but not vapor trail or smoke following behind.just bright light streak on a North West heading seeming to be passing over Barksdale AFB.

Seemed to look larger as it got lower and was expecting to hear impact sound.none followed though. Some other unusual lights and groupings of lights in the area flying slow and low.

It was a triangle shaped object with lights, hovering over a small airport next to a casino. I was driving north on Hwy 1 about 1/2 mile from casino when I noticed an object to my left across the street over our small country airport. It was a triangle shaped object with lights flashing up and down around the shape of the triangle.

It just hovered there. I drove slow watching it. As I got in front of the casino and stopped at the red light I looked back and it slowly started to move.

I lost sight when I moved on. This is my third sighting since we moved to this area 8 years ago. And this was the only time I didn't have witnesses.

I remember my teacher from junior high saying he had seen the same thing several years before.

Two friends and myself were grilling steaks outside. All outside lighting was off so we could star-watch on this clear night. As we reclined in our chairs looking up, I noticed a dim amberish solid light moving across the sky.

It looked as though it was at a very high altitude, moving very fast. At one point in the sky, it changed direction, 90 degrees. As this light moved out of sight, I noticed another one.

The second one was following the same path, but didn't make the 90 degree turn. The third moved across taking another path. As we were wondering what we were seeing, I noticed two other lights moving towards each other.

When they moved closer to each other, they each made a half circle in opposite directions, as to avoid colliding. Then the two lights continued to move away from each other until out of site. There were no sounds associated with these lights.

When I saw the two lights swirl away from each other, I got weak and shaky. It was very weird and shocking. I hope someone else witnessed this.

Amoeba like plasma "craft". I was in my backyard at 2pm practicing a technique known as "Cloud Busting". As I was concenrating on a small cloud an object suddenly "shot" out of it traveling on a northern heading.

The "craft" or thing was roughly teardrop shape. It made no noise,(aircraft I have view from this apparent distance can usually be heard,). The craft had a steady speed and I estimate it's speed, (from my experience is Close Air Support practice while serving in the Marine elite ANGLICO unit), to be in the vicinity of 800 to 1200 miles an hour.

It moved much faster than any airliner I have ever seen from that distance. The object itself was translucent and had a pinkish center and ruby "outer skin". It also had greyish black spots inside it's "skin" that seemed to move as it flew.

The object left a light contrail that was smooth and even. The contrail quickly disipated behind the "craft". I followed the object with my eye until it reach a larger group of clouds.

As it approached the larger group of clouds the crispness of it's edges began to break up in my vision and soon I lost sight of it completely. I had the sense that this was something organic and alive. I can speculate that this was some sort of "plasma" creature that traditional science hasn't discovered.

I saw a small white sphere cross the sky in a straight line I can't say this is the most interesting UFO sighting in history, but I still can't identify the little fella, so here it is: My friend and I were walking down Maple Street in New Orleans one overcast afternoon (it was more than a year ago and I can't remember the month at all, really). I looked up, probably to check for rain, and saw a white-looking sphere gliding overhead. I thought it was a balloon, or given the nasty weather, a weather balloon, but it was hard to get any sense of distance or scale; the sky was perfectly gray and overcast, and there was no noise.

I called my friend's attention to it, and we may have asked a passer by for an opinion (I don't remember). Anyway, although I initially maintained it was a balloon, it flew in a perfectly straight line at a constant speed, all the way across the sky, which I wouldn't expect from something traveling on air currents. I'm an engineer with lots of fluid dynamics experience, and I've seen balloons get carried away in wind.

If this sphere was entrained in an air current. well, I haven't seen anything like it. Eventually it disappeared over the horizon; not knowing how high it was, I can't estimate the speed, but it must have been fairly quick.

Sadly, there's no abduction to report. If my friend and I were late to where we were going, it was our own fault, as usual. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

About an hour and a half after our earlier sighting of 3 oval objects, we observed a "wedge shaped" object, very low altitude, about 1,800 pass along the perimeter of our property. The craft was large, well lit, and no sound whatsoever. The size upon first spotting it was about the size of an inch at arms length.

As it moved closer, it was evident to be quite large, no sound whatsoever and hovered for a time and then moved very, very slowly to the Southeast, then, did a very slow, graceful "U" turn and heading was North after that. Was in view for quite some time. Called out husband to observe also.

Had Large, bright white light at nose, smaller green and white lights at the back of the wedge shape. Seemed very long, narrow, and large, yet no sound. Continued slowly beyond the trees until out of sight.

Thought this was interesting in light of the earlier sighting we had earlier this same night of 3 bright oval objects at 20:00 not too far from our home. We were riding home and in a nearby town. Others were observing the oval objects as well.

The wedge shaped craft was very graceful and beautiful. ((name deleted)).

3 Bright oval objects observed by at least 4 witnesses in NW Louisiana. Riding home to S. Bossier, Husband and I noticed 3 very bright oval lights in "stair-step" formation, each one a slight distance above the other and were stationary at the time.

The light from these 3 objects was very bright white and slightly pulsating. We passed a young man out on the main road in front of his house observing these objects as well and pointing. A truck on a side street nearby pulled over.

We pulled over farther down the road to observe. The objects were about the size of a green pea held at arms length. No sound evident at all.

We watched these 3 objects for about 10 minutes when 2 seemed to "blink out" and disapppear. We started our truck and headed for home and the 3rd object passed directly over us at a very low rate of speed, N. Easterly heading, no sound, bright white oval shape but upon close observation, could see band of red/green lights around center of object.

A second object appeared and seemed to be a companion but was higher in altitude and appeared to be a triangle shape with white, blue, and green lights. The oval object may have been around 3,000 feet in altitude.hard to discern at night.

Glowing Orb Flashes and Hovers For three hours in smalltown in north Louisiana. The object produced a bright pulsating light that was dominated by broght white what caught my eye was a bright flash. I was dusting off the floormats when I caught a flash in the corner of my right eye really bright and brief when I turned in the direction it came from I saw what I believed at first to be an airplane heading towards me.

After a few minutes the lights began to flash red and blue and back to white. I wanted to get a better look so I walked to the back of the property and watched it dance for a solid twenty minutes. I had my phone in my pocket and called my friend who left his camera in my truck from the previous weekend I told him what I saw and he asked me to tape it for him to check out later.

His camera was a high eight with a ffity power zoom and when I started taping I had to ask him how to turn it on and how to focus. As i was taping he was coaching I found a perch on a fence rail and sat motionless taping for fifteen minutes I suppose and decided to call my neighbors to get another opinion. They saw it too.

I asked my neighbor if they would watch through the little three inch viewer to see if what I was seeing was real it was a glowing and pulsating orb of indistinguishable size was hovering in the atomsphere right on the horizen it was covered or enclosed partially in some type of banded material which fit around it similar to that of a globe it had a cylindrical snout that seemed axised to some point in the center of the sphere and the whole sphere seemed to rotate around it. Also I was sedintery with a stable position and the thing appeared to jump in and out of focus repeatedly with no notice of sound at times it would flutter back and forth and others would seem to flash away in a millisecond. I live in a small town where the night sky is highly recocnizable and anything differant is noticable, both the Leonid and Gemini showers were visible here in September, November and December.
