Observed fiery debris field of object moving west to east. Observed an object moving west to east just before sunrise. It first appeared to be an aircraft breaking up as it appeared to be leaving a fiery debris trail in its wake (i.

e. like a sparkler). Watched for about a minute.

Bright light SSE of Pollock, Idaho at 20 degrees above horizon that remained stationary for 20 min (spherical to crescent). I noticed a very bright light above the hills to the South of our house. (160 degrees magnetic and approx.

20 degrees above the horizon. My house is approx 1 mile NW of the Pollock Post Office and situated at 3200 ft. ASL.

) When I viewed the light through my 7 power binoculars, it appeared as a bright light that was about 1/8" in diameter. The edge of the light was clearly defined. The object stayed stationary during the time we were able to view it, 20 minutes, and then was obscured by clouds.

My wife thought she saw a red light circling the light - that is it would disappear on the right side and then reappear on the left side. When she gave me the binoculars, clouds obscurred the object before I could see the red light. During the last 5 minutes of viewing the light seemed to take on a crescent shape - like a sphere the is being illuminated by the Sun.

While driving home, we saw 8 white lights flashing in a formation for about 5 minutes. The object was moving slowly over the Idaho/Oregon border.

Strange sphere above north Idaho. As we were traveling east on I-90 we observed a bright sphere that was not moving. We pulled over on exit 34 to get a better look and realized that the sphere had split or there were actually two together.

One went west and the other went east, then began to zig zag as it turned east by south-east. After that it quickly faded from view, but not apparently from traveling too far away. Since we were right next to an interstate, we didn't hear any sounds from it.

I didn't mention in the report that after the sphere separated or split, my wife and I continued to watch the one going south by south-west, and we didn't really keep track of the other moving west. My son, who is ten and daughters 7, and 5 watched the other one moving west, as they could see it out the rear window of our car, as it continued moving west until it faded. Hope this helps.

high polished chrome-teardrop shaped object hovering over a busy North Idaho Hi-way in mid afternoon As my daughter and I were driving from our home just north of Athol Idaho,to do some shopping in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho we noticed something above the hiway. Time aproximately 3pm and the date was somewhere between late winter of 2002 and early spring of 2003. It was a bright beautiful afternoon.

We were driving south on hiway 95 and we were just about {either just before or just after the county line} The hiway is two lanes heading to the south and one lane heading to the north. It is a rural area and the hiway is lined with tall trees and farm land on either side. We were a[pox.

4 miles north of them small town of Athol. As we rounded a bend to the left-hanging in the sky at just about tree top heigth was something unusual. It was not moving.

And it didn't make a sound. It just hung there. It was long enough to stretch from one side of the hiway{3 lanes} to the other.

At tree top heigth. Not moving and totally silent. It was tear drop shaped and seemed to be a high polished chrome color.

No windows were visible. And there were no wings. It cast a hugew shadow on the ground in which our carm passed through.

As we reacherd the other side we could see other cars veering off the road so I know we were not alone in this sighting. As we looked back after passing through the shadow we couyld see nothing.as if it had never been there at all.

We heard nothing as it left. At first we hadm a hard time admitting even to ourselves what we had seen. But we know by the other cars pulled off the road, we were not alone.

At 4 a.m., star-like, brilliant, flashing red and green colors, seemed to change shape to a thin line under binoculars.

My husband, a geologist, and I enjoy watching the sky -- eclipses as well as auroras. We currently live in a rural area where skies are often clear and the stars are very bright. Upon awakening at roughly 4 a.

m. 09/23/02, my attention was immediately drawn out the window to a brilliant star-like object to the SE, approximately 15 degrees up. It seemed exceptionally bright, especially since the landscape was flooded with competing moonlight.

The object was flashing and pulsing red, green and white light --occasionally a flash would light up the immediate sky around it. It first seemed motionless, yet very slowly passed from view behind the pines that surround this location. (I was keeping my head stationary on the same place on my pillow.

) I had binoculars by the bed and trained them on this object as it reappeared through the trees, as I lay still. Well, through the binoculars the object seemed to change shape. At one point it was like a v-shaped pale pink blob, at another point it changed to a thin horizontal line, and at another stage a thin vertical line.

This was peculiar and puzzling! (In my mystification, I have been searching for explanations .possibly the changes were created by the optics of the window glass?? Or atmospheric effects?) The intensity of the light faded, and when it passed behind another ponderosa, I waited for it to re-appear, but it did not. There was no sound associated with this object.

Other than the surrounding forest, which blocks some of the sky, thanks to our elevation and sparse population we have very good night sky viewing conditions --we've spotted the ISS and enjoyed the Perseids. I have not seen anything to compare with the brilliancy, flashings, colors and odd shape/behavior of this object. I emailed staff at the Bruneau Dunes Observatory, who responded that I probably saw a planet or giant red star, though they couldn't really say without a better location.

I haven't seen the object again; will try to make early morning observations to attempt to find a natural explanation, and will contact your site again if I feel I have found an answer. time loss me and my girlfriend were traviling home with are kids after visiting my mom ather friends cabin. it was about 12:45 when things started acting really werid my truck was making a werid noise and started to smell like burnt rubber, when i went to slow down all of my light in my dash came on and it semed to me that it wasnt even 10min after all of the above happened i looked at my stero and it said 1:45 a.m.

what in hell could of caused that to happen.

UFO outside Twin Falls- 2002 500 Lights On Object0: Yes In August of 2002, my husband and I were on the first leg of our roadtrip honeymoon. We left Seattle in the morning, and around 11 p.m.

we decided to look for a motel in Twin Falls, ID. We saw road signs indicating that Twin Falls was within a few miles, so we began looking for the exit. And we looked.

And we looked. And we realized we had driven way too far, and must have missed it somehow, so we turned around and headed back the way we’d come. Ahead of us, we saw something that at first appeared to be an airplane in the distance, but its flight pattern and speed seemed off.

The light came close enough for us to see the underside of the object, and we both knew instantly that it was a UFO. The lights on the underside were rotating. The object never got close enough for us to determine its shape.

We parked on the side of the road and watched as the object moved across the sky and disappeared behind some mountains. Then we got in the car and continued to drive towards Twin Falls. It turns out we had indeed missed Twin Falls, and we had also somehow failed to see 2 exit signs.

We weren’t paying close enough attention to the time, so I’m not sure if we were missing time, but we could never figure out how 2 people who were looking could fail to see 2 exit signs. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD)).

5-6 lights, very bright, approaching rear of my vehicle, arose very fast, dissappeared, no noise or sound Object appeared out of nowhere, I observed 5 or 6 lights, similar to headlights, only brighter in my rearview mirror and to the right in a pasture, directly behind my vehicle. The object approached my vehicle very quickly, I thought we were going to be hit, my adult daughter saw the lights as they began to rise into the sky. At first we thought it was a plane attempting a landing or takeoff, but we realized their was no engine sound, no noise at all.

It then literally disappeared.

Just west of Nampa, ID. Bright white light moves away rapidly. Walking north down my driveway when I saw something out of the corner of my eye.

I looked in a NNE direction and saw a bright white light at about 60 degrees above the horizon. Perfectly still and about the size of 1/4 full moon. In approx.

2 seconds it began to move away from me at a constant high rate of speed. Within 5 seconds it had gone to a pinpoint and disappeared. They way it got smaller without shifting position above the horizon, it seemed to be moving directly away from me.

The light had an odd "creamy" texture to it. Silent and very smooth movement, like a lighted aperture closing as it disappeared. Could not be mistaken for anything natural.

Multiple Objects Me and a friend had been out at a bar just down the road from our house. We had only a couple of drinks over a period of hours, so intoxication was very minimal. As the bar closed, we proceeded to walk home, living only a block from one another.

We decided to cut through a park down the street from our homes, and being a very beautiful, warm evening, lied on the grass and BSed for a few minutes. We were staring up at the night sky, which was completely cloud free, when, at an incredible speed, 3 bright objects in triangle formation flew over head without making a sound. We were stunned.

We began discussing the possibilities of what it could have been. I also recall that, do to the speed it was going, we estimated that if it wanted it could travel around the world in about half an hour. Then, about 20 to 30 minutes later, the object returned, not from the horizon it was traveling towards, but from the horizon it came from the first time.

This time there were two more object in the same triangle formation, making up 5, and behind the object was another single object that seemed to be tailing it, at the same speed, with a visibly bright orange object pulsating around it. The following month me and a lot of friends were at a barbeque. The sky was clear, and it was dusk, the sun had not yet set and there were no stars visible.

Traveling in an East/West direction a friend and I (different friend this time) witnessed a bright orange object shoot across the sky at incredible speed. About 30 seconds to a minute later it was followed by, again, 3 bright, star like objects in triangle formation. I live 10 miles from a small airport and am very familiar with the look, speed and behavior of private and commercial planes, and have even flown a plane on one occasion with a pilot I knew.

These objects were not planes, not weather balloons, and certainly not the reflection of light off the stomachs of ducks, which have all been given to us as possible explanations. They say seeing is believing. I'm a believer!.

Shining sphere speeds accross sky towards Southeast. I was laying on a hammock in the back yard watching hawks circling overhead when I saw a bright, shining sphere moving Southeast at great speed. I got up to watch the object and was able to see it until it went behind a house on the hill behind Me.

There was no visible trail and no sound from the craft as far as I could tell. The whole incident lasted about 45 seconds. Approximatly 2 years ago, Myself, my 2 sons and three people next door witnessed a similar object stationary in the sky just South of the airport.

This sighting was verified by a friend that worked at air traffic control tower at the airport. He said they had been tracking this object for three days.

I have never seen anything like this before. Proceeding to Pocatello, Idaho, from Salt Lake City, in early evening, a craft crossed my path well below me. It appeared to be contouring around the mountains and headed generally east.

I asked Salt Lake Center if they had traffic in my area and they stated that there was none. I was flying a Cessna 208 and have 54 years of aviation experience (23 military and 31 civil). The craft had the general appearance of the space shuttle (no wings observed).

No lights were observed on the craft.

A sphere with a sail on top that changed into triangular shape then back to spherical, that would shrink then expand & blink lights At 7:00 Wed. evening, my brother & I took our mother into the courtyard of the Transition Center (part of Kootneai Medical Center) for a cigarette. My brother & I were observing what we thought to be a helicopter coming in from the East.

As it got closer, my brother asked me if that was a helicopter. I looked back at it, & at first I said yes, just then it changed shape into a triagular shape, I made the comment "Is that the Stealth", I had heard that the Stealth had flown over Spokane 2 days prior to that. Then I commented that it couldn't be the stealth because it was moving far to slow.

At that time it turned back into a sperical shape. It had moved closer to us. It was approximately between 40 to 50 degrees in relation to the Earth.

We then observed that there was some kind of a sail on top of it. The sail would go clockwise for awhile then it would go counter clockwise, it kept doing that. At the same time, it seemed to be wobbling.

We got the impression that it was having some kind of mechanical problems. It would also every once in awhile shrink into a smaller sphere, then expand again a few seconds later. The object was Jet black and had a white aura around it.

Twice that I seen lights blinked on in a circular motion around the object. One time a beam of light shot straight out from it across the sky. It made the sound of heavy machinery far off.

We all also felt a vibration from it. It is strange but the vibration seemed to be very calming. After the first 5 minutes or so of observing it, I noticed The CNA Wendy at the door.

I called her out to see it. She came out, & she looked for a while, then ran back inside and grabbed several other CNA's & Nurses to come out & look. There was approximately 14 of us outside at that time.

They all heard and felt it just the same way as we did. We discussed all the possiblites of what it could be, & there was no explanation other than UFO that fit. The object was moving very slowing, from East to West.

When it was almost directly ! overhead it started moving straight up in the sky until it was just a little pin point. One of the CNA's (she did not observe) was so interested in our siting that she has been checking into it ever since. She found out that on the 3rd floor of the hospital several patients, nurses, & even 1 doctor had observed the UFO also.

She is in the process of trying to contact all the witnesses to have them come to this site or call the hotline & report it (she gave me the phone number of where to call).

Three star like objects moved slowly then faded one by one There were three stars that all moved in perfect formation. The three lights made an un-even triangle. There was no sound.

They moved slowly. The aft light faded first then the middle light. The forward light faded last.

They didn't just turn off but instead they faded very slowly. There were seven of us though only three saw it. We were all travelling at night and wanted to get out and stretch our legs.

We live in a big city so the stars were amazing to see. I'm not quite sure where we were, all I know is that we were at a pullout on the highway somewhere. I think we were facing W.

S.W. and it was about 70° up.

a silent, dark, cone shaped air craft I saw it moving slow and at an upward angle. Flames were coming out the back. Then it took off really fast just like an aircraft.

As I was driving i saw what at first i thought to be a falling star then i relized it was moving to slowly and thought it was an airplaine crashing. then as secons smalley ball of light seperated from the main ball and they both dissapeared behind a mountian. I keept watching the area it went behind and about thirty mintues latter as i came around the mountian there was a bright ball of light on top of the mountian which disssapeared quickly.

A friend in the a car following me called me the next day and we saw the same thing the only explination that we both could come up with was taht it was a UFO. POST FALLS IDAHO SIGHTING 2/12/02 IT CAME FROM THE EAST MOVING WEST REAL SLOW.APPROXIMATELY 7:50 P.M.

MY FRIEND SAW IT AND TOLD US TO COME LOOK AT IT. HE THEN TOLD HIS WIFE, SHE GRABBED HER DIGITAL CAMERA AND TOOK IT OUTSIDE. IT WAS STILL MOVING WEST AND SHE TOOK SOME PICTURES.

THE ABJECT THEN STOPPED STOPPED , EVERY TIME SHE TOOK A PICTURE THE OBJECT APPEARED TO MOVING CLOSER TO US. WHEN SHE STOPPED TAKING PICTURES IT MOVED SOUTH A LITTLE AND THEN IT TOOK OFF IT WAS JUST GONE. IT WAS MOSTLY A YELLOWISH ORANGE COLOR BY NORMAL EYE BUT WHEN YOU LOOKED THROUGH THE CAMERA IT WAS FLASHING A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT COLORS.

IT WAS A CLEAR NIGHT WHEN THIS HAPPENED.
