Fireball in Montana I was driving west on I-90, about one hour east of Bozeman, Montana, when I saw a bright thick white light falling straight down. At the point that it stopped it looked as if it sparked a little more. The next day I left my hotel in Bozeman at about 11:00 AM and there were a few military helicopters flying around the area looking for something.

I thought this strange.

Silver slow-moving, noiseless, low altitude, almost missile shaped object. Object was about 100-150 ft long, traveling slowly at about 1000 ft altitude. It had two sets of small fins, mid-section and tail, body silver colored.

No noise, no exhaust, traveling southeast. We operate a wildlife sanctuary along the Blackfoot River in Montana.

Twelve chevron shaped crafts spotte over Lake Koocanusa, Montana. These strange glowing objects came over the west-K and hovered over the lake they were bright blue and seemed noncorporeal. The ships flew off towards Canada at an amazing speed faster then any jet.

Three bright lights with no sound. It was 5:30am on the morning of Sept. 13, 2002.

I was stand on the porch of the motel I was staying at. The porch has a clear view to the W through NNW. I was looking in a WNW direction when I saw three bright white lights in a triangular shape or formation.

I estimate these lights to be 1/2 of a mile from my location. The lights appeared to be moving in a NW direction at the speed of a small aircraft (120 kts or less.) They were at about 20 degrees above the horizion.

As the light were moving away from me The front light went put. I don't know if this due to the light being turn off or if it became obstructed by part of the craft. I can not say this was one craft or three as it was to dark to see.

The lights disappeared behind a hill to my NW. There was no noise from these lights. The morning air was still and quite, no dogs, no birds and no traffic noise that could have covered the sound of an aircraft engine.

The dam located not far from my location is a hydroelectric dam. After looking on a map these lights may have followed the power lines to the dam from the SE and departed the area following the power lines to the NW. There was one other witness to this event.

Large craft spotted in Northwest Montana Very large craft spotted near the top of a mountain right above the tree tops. Roughly two miles away from us one large blue and red light on top with a horizontal row of about 50 lights along the center and two smaller lights on the bottom. Very bright light emitted from object.

The light on top was turning on and off regularly about the size of a quarter cresent shaped red within blue making a circle. Row of lights randomly turning on and off considerably smaller than the top light these lights had a sparkler effect when they lit up. There was a storm further south and sheet lightning to the west.

Object was observed for 45 min when the storm broke the object was gone. I have never seen anything like this before thought the mountain was on fire at first glance. A close estimate would put the object at a half mile in diameter.

I observed a point of white light, resembling a star, seeming to be high altitude, moving west at a moderate speed for about 30 seconds I observed an object which resembled a star moving in a westernly direction. I first observed it directly overhead, and then faced west to watch its flight path. It was moving in a straight line at a constant speed.

It seemed to be very high altitude and it was moving at a moderate speed. It was a point of white light, and had it been motionless, I would have mistaken it for a star. I observed it on one side of my house for about 30 seconds until the trees in my yard blocked my view.

I moved quickly to the back of my house, but I was unable to locate the object again. The sky was very clear except for a few clouds here and there. ((NUFORC Note: We spoke with this witness, and he sounded to be an excellent witness.

UFO above mountain Left building at 10:15 started car and noticed beam of light thought it was off of football lamps but realized when I moved car it wasn't. Stopped car and looked into night sky. Was positioned about 23 miles away above mountain.

Bright disk, had various lights of white color moved back and forth. Then lights faded and you could hardly see it. Disappeared about 20 seconds after first saw it.

UFO spotted near City in Montana I am a student of Powell County High School, I work at a local fast food restaurant and view my life as better than average. I was with my boyfriend this evening when I noticed the object. I have always had a fascination with ufos.

only I didn't beleive and I am not sure I still do. I think the people who "SEE" them are quacks. but.

I am definately not a quack. We were on our way up a dirt road when I noticed above a hill about 15 miiles out of town, there was a huge HUGE brilliant light source. I thought nothing of it and started to "Wish upon a star" for fun when I noticed it move very fast up then across to the right.

I got the drivers attention and we pulled the car to an abrupt stop. At first we assumed it was a satellite, but it was too close to the earth. actually in the atmosphere.

We watched it for a few minutes and noticed it change position constantly. Not very far, but enough to see a streak of light. It was cigar shaped in theory, but seemed to assume different positions so that it seemed almost elliptical or circular.

This object seemed only a few thousand miles above or less. After a while we decided if it was still there the next evening it would have been nothing and relaxed in our seats and watched the clouds by the moon. (The position of the craft was NE of the moons position that evening.

) We checked on it a few rapid times in the next minutes. paranoid as he was. but when we looked back at exactly 11:07.

It was gone!!! I was unfortunate to have any camera, but i will keep mine attatched to my hip from now on. I know how important fact is to science. (I want to be a meteorologist.

Unexplained objects photographed over Mount Sentinel in Montana. My wife and I are university students in Montana. It was an early Monday evening,July 15, 2002.

The temprature had been in the low 90s all day. At approximately 19:40 hours, a brief summer thunder shower passed over our area. The heavy rain and thunder and lightening lasted about 15 minutes.

At 19:55 hours the weather eased, and my wife resumed doing the laundry, at the laundry room across the parking lot from our apartment building. When she stepped outside, she looked to the east, and saw a double rainbow spanning Mount Sentinel, which is almost directly behind our building. She quickly ran inside, and grabbed her Sony Mavica digital camera.

She then returned to the parking lot to photograph the double rainbow. She took approximately 24 pictures. On 4 of the 24 photos, we noticed what appear to be several fireball looking objects in the sky.

My wife did not notice the objects in the sky while she was taking the photos. The objects were all very similar in shape, although sizes of the objects varied (due to distance?). Photos are available upon request.

Saucer w/colored lights underneath shooting colored lazers We were camped at the State Park on Flathead Lake and woke up around 3:30 AM to see a distinct saucer shaped noiseless craft hovering about a mile across the lake (East). It would only move on right angles and underneath were large circular colored lights that emitted colored lazer beams that would sparkle when they reached the ground or sometimes in the air. Watched this saucer move around for about an hour and fell asleep about 4:30.

just got done watching the nba finals game one, i was walking out the door to my friends house when i looked to the east and half way up the horizon going north to south thier was this green fireball, i hollered back in to the house look! but just my sixteen year old god daughter saw about 2 seconds of it, thats when it disapiered. Butte, Montana May 2002: A star appears to move, and is destroyed by some sort of missile or kamikazee spaceship. My friends and I, were hanging out in one of the friend's yard talking and trying to find satelites and such. I was looking up and I swore I saw (what I thought was a typically star), moving left and right just enough to notice it.

It wasn't flashing like stars do, it was solid. And as far as I knew only planets did that. So I thought it was a planet, but something seemed to make me second guess it.

I leveled my hand with it vertically to a nearby star. The object went in and out of view from behind my hand. I started to ask them (my friends) if they saw it as well, and one of my friends said and I'm quoting "Do you see that star? It's F***ing moving man!".

We continued watching it go back and forth for several minutes. I saw a "satelite" and pointed it out. It was going in the direction of the object, off at 30 degree or so.

It continued until it passed the object on the left side. It started to go around in a large circle until it was on level with the object, and TURNED 45 degrees heading directly at it. We were all watching it with anticipation of what was happening and freaked out.

What happened next is what got us. It hit on the right side and a flash or spark went shotting out the left side at about 3 times the speed. When it hit we all said some exclamations.

Both objects were gone. Since that day I've always believed that extraterrestials have been here for the blip of an existence we've had. And I'm pretty sure my friends are the same way.

bright orange-red ball in sky glowing,red-orange sphere,appearing as though aproaching me, at a very slow speed. It appeared to increase in size as it got nearer. It appeared to have a light shaft emitting from either side shooting downward.

Then it stopped motion, and was motionless, and sent a sharp spear-like beam of red-orange light below it toward the earth. It hung there for a couple of seconds, and then moved to the South ( left ) a short distance, dimmed and brightened, moved a short distance further South, then stopped, and then disappeared. I contacted the U.

S. AirBase at Malmstrom, Great Falls,MT. and they told me there were no planes or weather balloons in the air at the time.

There was no sound from the object in question. Sky was clear, and there was no wind.

Glimpse of large bright object low to horizon in trajectory disappearing behind ridge. On February 9th, between 7:30 and 7:45 pm I was in the pool at Boulder Hot Springs, looking at Orion, Taurus, Sirius, Saturn, and watching strobe lights of a plane headed north. I wore my glasses out to the pool specifically to skywatch.

While watching the plane, I caught sight of a large lighted object fairly near the horizon and in my right peripheral field of view. As I focused on the object, it followed a curved trajectory right and down and disappeared behind a ridge. The object was very bright, white or maybe slightly yellow/gold, and roundish, though not a perfect orb.

It was only in my sight for a couple of seconds, yet the impression was that it was wider than tall. At least there was some shading that kept it from being a perfect orb. It was definitely not a meteor or a star, as it was too large, its length about 2/3 of the distance between the stars on Orion's belt.

Had it been a meteorite of that size hitting the earth, I think we would have heard or felt it, and the trajectory would have been different. The next day we drove south on the highway and noticed a number of drainages cutting back into the ridge behind Boulder Hot Springs. There have been a few reported sightings in the Elkhorns and Townsend area, but this was a little south of the Elkhorns.

While driving home my sister and I witnessed a streak of light travel across the horizon and dissapear. My sister and I reached the bottom of the valley right before Whitetail and I was looking ahead at the road when a FAST streak of white/gray light went through the middle of my windsheild moving west to east, it was horizontal with the horizon so it couldn't of been a shooting star and it was so fast and thin that it couldn't of been a aircraft. My sister and I were so stunned we didn't think to look at it as it left to go east but after a few seconds we looked to the east and it had dissapeared.

My friends and I were walking around town when I looked into the sky and saw the 3 rectangle crafts flying through the air one shot a weapon of some type and another went soaring into the ground and was gone by the time we got to the site. But when we looked into the sky the rectangles were gone and we didn't know what to do after that. Thats my story and if you want to E-mail me do it at ((e-address deleted)).
