Two sightings, one occasion had three objects. shape changing I was driving home (I live on a farm) after work when I saw an abnormally bright light directly ahead of me in the sky. When I reached our house, I got my step-dad's binaculars to get a closer look at it.

When I got it in focus, I could see blue lights on top, red on the bottom, and a white light in the middle that moved in alternating patterns. The object stayed stationary for half an hour after I noticed it. The lights shut off and I could no longer see it.

Not five minutes later, I saw another bright light to the right (south) of the first location. It was the exact same as the first object. I put down the binaculars and called the sheriffs office.

When I looked at it again, it had changed into three red lights in a triangular shape. The bottom right light shut off, and the bottom left light moved in a horseshoe pattern to join with the top light. This happened for a half an hour also.

After this one dissapeared, there was another farther off in the distance to the left (north) of the first location. I couldn't see this one as well. I checked to see if it was there every five minutes or so, and after another half an hour, it was gone.

On 12-7-06 I was driving home from work again at 22:30, when I saw a bright white light come from the south towards the road I was on. It was the fastest thing I have ever seen. It stopped right before the road for half a second, and flew off at a 90 degree angle from where it came.

It moved so fast that it just vanished over the horizon. Two seconds later, it came back over the horizon towards our home. It slowed down and descended to the ground.

When it was no more than fifty feet off the ground, the light shut off. This was less than half a mile from my bedroom window. The main part of my story is what has been happening to our community.

The people that live around our farm have cows. When the owners of the cows go to check on them, they sometimes find one mutilated. Half of their skin is torn off their face, no blood in their bodies, and missing organs.

This happend on my grandpa and grandmas property, just two miles from our house, at the end of October.

PD)) Strange Incident Near Conrad ICBM Most Recent Sighting, One of Many at Nuclear Bases BY ROBERT HASTINGS When I lecture on UFOs, I am often asked, "When and where was the most recent UFO sighting at a nuclear weapons site?" Given that these incidents are ongoing, it's entirely possible that such a sighting occurred at one missile facility or another very recently, perhaps even last night. However, as far as I know, the last reported incidents apparently took place near Conrad, Montana, in December 2006.

On December 12th, an indivi-dual, not identified, posted an intriguing sighting report on the National UFO Reporting Center website. It seems that the previous night, while driving home, the anonymous source had sighted a UFO just east of Conrad, Montana. Moreover, according to the post, he also had another sighting, four days earlier, at almost the same location.

Although there was no mention of nuclear missiles in this report, I knew that the town of Conrad is literally surrounded by Minuteman missile sites. On a hunch, I contacted NUFORC's director, Peter Davenport, and requested the source's name and contact information. Davenport then contacted Ryan Riewer, now a student at the University of Montana, who readily agreed to speak with me.

In a telephone interview, Riewer told me, "I live on a farm nearly three miles east of Conrad. On December 7, 2006, I was driving home from work at around 10:30 at night. I was on Sollid Road, probably a mile away from our house, when I saw this light out of the corner of my eye, coming from the southwest.

It was the fastest thing I've ever seen. It came racing up almost to the road. It stopped dead for a moment, then took off at a 90-degree angle to where it came from.

It went southeast, over a hill on the horizon. A couple of seconds later, it came racing back toward me. Then it began to slow down and descended toward the ground at an angle.

When it was about fifty feet up, the light shut off. It looked like it landed about a half-mile, or maybe a mile, from our house. That was really, really weird.

” I asked Riewer if there was a missile site in the area where the UFO apparently landed. He seem somewhat surprised by this question but confirmed that was indeed the case. “Yes, there is a missile silo out in that direction.

I saw it one time when I was hunting with my dad,” he said, “I would say that the distance between the missile site and where the object landed was about a mile.” Riewer continued, “Four days later, on December 11th, I was driving home after work again when I saw an extremely bright light in the sky, dead east, directly in front of me. As soon as I got home, I looked at the light with binoculars.

By then, it was southeast of us. I saw blue lights on top, a red light on the bottom, and a white light in the middle that kept moving around. I couldn't make out the shape of the object, just the lights on it.

My mom looked through the binoculars too. The object remained stationary for half an hour or so. I would estimate that it was two to three miles southeast of our house.

Then the lights shut off and I could no longer see them. About five minutes later, I saw another bright light. It looked exactly the same as the other one.

The second object was the about the same distance away, but dead south of us.” Riewer continued, “I put down the binoculars and called the sheriffs office. The person I spoke with just said, 'Thanks for reporting this.

' He acted like it was no big deal. There have been lots of reports of weird stuff going on around Conrad. He had probably heard other reports like mine, so he wasn't too excited about it.

After I got off the phone, I looked at the object again. By then, it appeared as three red lights in a triangular pattern. After a few minutes, the bottom right light shut off.

Then the bottom left light moved up to join the top light. All of this took place over a half an hour or so. Then these lights disappeared too.

After a few moments, I noticed another object farther off in the distance, north of where I saw the first light. It was northeast of our house, but dimmer, and I couldn't see it too well. About a half an hour later, it was gone.

” After speaking with Riewer, I consulted my large, Air Force-issued map of Malmstrom's Minuteman missile sites and discovered that the Papa Launch Control Facility, designated P-0, is approximately 2 miles north by northwest of his family's farm. I also found that the boundaries of three 564th Strategic Missile Squadron flights—Papa, Quebec, and Sierra—all converge nearby. According to the map, Launch Facility S-40 is approxi-mately 2.

5 miles southeast of Riewer's house, and Launch Facility Q-15 is approximately 5 miles northeast of it. Riewer's estimate that the object southeast of his house on December 11th was “2 to 3 miles” distant seems to place it in the vicinity of S-40, while the dimmer object sighted northeast of his farm was conceivably near Q-15, although that is less certain. I asked Riewer if he had heard or seen military jets either near the objects or in the general area during either sighting.

He said that he had not. I then asked if he had noticed any unusual Air Force activity on the ground immediately after either sighting. He responded that he had not.

When asked if he had seen other unusual lights or objects in the sky on other occasions, Riewer replied, “Yes, one night, maybe a year or so before my other sightings, my step-father and I heard what sounded like a helicopter flying really low. It was really loud. We went outside to see what was going on.

We saw what looked like a helicopter, but really high up. That was puzzling because we expected it to be close to the ground. It was so high we could only see the lights on it.

Then another helicopter came into view. The two met up and just stopped in the sky, really close to each other. Then the noise quit and both of them were silent! By then we figured they weren't helicopters.

Then all of the lights slowly faded away, like they were going out. They just disappeared. Those two objects were southeast of the house, in the same general direction where I saw the other objects [on December 7 and 11] and about the same distance away.

” Riewer continued, “I mentioned my sightings at school and got laughed at, but one of my teachers backed me up and told us about his own UFO sighting, which happened while he was out hunting. After that, some other students got brave and told us about their sightings. So I'm not the only one around Conrad who has seen things.

In his posting on the NUFORC website, Riewer had mentioned that a mutilated cow had been found on his grandparents farm at the end of October 2006. He told me, “My step-grandpa and grandma have a farm near us, five miles east of Conrad. About a month or so before my sightings, a neighboring rancher had his cows grazing on their land and one of them was found mutilated.

Its genitals were missing and the skin on one side its face was peeled off. As far as I know, that was the last time that kind of thing was reported in the area, but cattle have been found that way [on other occasions] in the past.” According to the Montana press, cattle mutilations were first reported on ranches around Conrad, and elsewhere in Pondera County, in the mid-1970s.

Then, after a nearly-three-decade lull, more mutilated cows and steers began to be discovered in the county beginning in 2001. Robert Hastings, author of UFOs and Nukes, Extraordinary Encoun-ters at Nuclear Weapons Sites, is a researcher and lecturer who has interviewed nearly one hundred U.S.

Air Force veterans involved in nuclear weapons related UFO incidents. Note: At the time of their experiences, the former or retired USAF sources who Hastings interviewed held positions ranging from nuclear missile launch and target-ing officers, to missile maintenance personnel, to missile security police. The incidents described and documented occurred between 1963 and 1996 at the following Air Force bases: Malmstrom (Montana), Minot (North Dakota), F.

E. Warren (Wyoming), Ellsworth, (South Dakota), Vandenberg (California), and Walker (New Mexico, aka: Roswell). Other sources were stationed at Wurtsmith (Michigan) and Loring (Maine), where B-52 nuclear bombers were based during the Cold War era.

In 1966-67, when Hastings’ father was stationed at Malmstrom, and during the time of the reported UFO activity at the nearby Minuteman missile sites, he witnessed five UFOs being tracked on radar in the air traffic control tower (having befriending a radar technician). The incident led to his decades long project and documentation of UFO inci-dents related to nuclear weapons sites. A portion of that documen-tation includes reports from at least six former or retired USAF personnel—Minuteman missile launch officers stationed at Malmstrom in 1967 who divulged their knowledge of UFO involvement in two separate, large-scale missile shutdown incidents.

Despite the testimony of missile launch officers, the United States Air Force formally denies UFO-involvement in the officially acknowledged missile shutdown incident at Malmstrom AFB. The official disavowal is found in the 341st Strategic Missile Wing’s “unit history.” Significantly, according to Hastings, the unit historian, Dav! id Gamble, reported that while compiling material for the official history, he had learned of reports of UFO activity within Malmstrom’s missile fields.

When he made inquiries, Gamble received “no cooperation” from those in-the-know. He further said that written changes regarding “the UFO aspect of the missile shutdown incident” had been made by superiors. The final version of the unit history states, “Rumors of Unidentified Flying Objects around the area of Echo Flight during the time of the fault were disproven.

” Hastings presents his findings to colleges and universities nationwide and encourages former and retired military personnel to contact him regarding UFO incidents related to nuclear weapons launch or storage facilities (email: hastings444@ worldnet.att.net).

it was silent, and not really expainable (not crazy) I'm a truck driver tat had an experence i can't explain and oly to people know what im now typing, i just read a report of aonther truck driver passing though hardin. Im driving on my way to butte, mT and im getting tired so i pull off on an exit ramp and take a break, and look up at the ocean of stars. Then i see this light at first a plane i thought, No because i never seen a craft desend so quikly,(grew up next door to naval master jet Base) im the only one in the area off i-90 in a indian reservation.

the light i headed in my direction, (no marker lights) so i get in the driver seat and take off in hopes what i see isnt, but i get tired and pull over in a more lighted area. I lock my doors and go in the sleeper berth its - 25 degress outside and my truck heat works very good. i try to rest a bit not haveing much time having a delivery at 0800 in the morning.

anyway i go to sleep and my hole body goes numb and i fell like im getting lifted out of my bed in mid-air i try to wake up fighting to do so really, from there i dont know what happened i had a four hour time lapse and woke up freezing, i mean ice cold and theres no other explaination because my heat was on and my jacket, hands, ect. was like ice. thats about covers the unusual phenomenon.

Small cloud becomes trapezoid shape and disappears What appeared to be a small, darker cloud rising diagonally faster than normal clouds in the area became a trapezoidal shape with straight edges and faded into the background color. I would guess it was about thirty feet across. ((CORRESPONDENCE WITH SOURCE OF REPORT)) Night time, or daytime, sighting, please? Was it 07:30 hrs.

Weather was broken cumulus clouds 90% coverage at about 2000 AGL, 20 mile visibility. Temp probably around 56F. The way this object took on the color and texture of the background clouds was so impressive that I could not find words to tell the driver of my vehicle.

Mettalic, teardrop shaped object hover in the sky above house My family and I were sitting on our deck eating dinner when my stepfather pointed at somthing in the cloudless sky. My mother and I looked up and saw a teardrop shaped object directly above us. It looked as though the exterior was chromed, it gleamed in the evening sun.

It was probably 20,000 to 30,000 feet in the air. It was just hovering in one area. Suddenly, it moved very, very, quickly about 400 yards to our left.

After hovering there for about 2min it dropped to only a couple hundred feet above the ground. It seemed to be observing somthing on the ground. Then the object moved back up to its original height.

And in the blink of an eye it dissapeared over the mountains. I was so hyptnotized by it that I couldn't move. I was just transfixed on it.

I had never seen anything like that before in my life.

Bright spot in sky blinking red and green and (sometimes) white light, stationery place in sky for 30 minutes. Woke at 4:30 - looked at stars - towards Southeast from Little Bitterroot Lake - Saw one very bright one but noticed it was blinking colors. Woke husband, went to window with binoculars and we both watched it in sky for 25 minutes - rapid blinking red and blue light, also appeared to have white light shining up.

About 30 degrees up from horizon. Maybe a helicopter? But not shining a light down (as in search light) and no noticeable movement. Stayed in same place in sky for over 30 minutes.

Could not discern shape - just looked like very bright star. After 30 minutes, dimmed and between 4:55 and 5:05 it got higher in sky. Could be helicopter tracking bear??? We were visiting Montana at approx 48-07-30 by 114 45 00 (homeowner has map) and light was southeasterly - towards Mount Marion.

2006 UFO Sighting in Gallatin County, Bozeman Montana. Multiple close encounters. 2006 UFO Sighting in Gallatin County Montana Multiple unexplainable sightings through the night.

August 29, 2006. Bozeman Montana. Skies, Clear, Cloudless Night.

Temperature 40 degrees. I was camping, with sleeping bag only, behind a burm in a grass-less construction lot. It was about a quarter mile square.

Mall to the south, treeline to the north, townhouses to the east and the highway to the west. I was told later that there is a military base of some kind near this location. 12:30 AM While camping out in an empty dirt lot behind Bob Wards Sporting Goods noticed what thought was a plane or planet (too low to be a star), blue-white.

It began blinking/flashing noticed several other blinking/flashing objects low in the night sky as well. There is an airport in Bozeman so figured it was a few airplanes, but kept looking anyway. This went on for some time, I'm guessing 15 minutes.

12:45 AM Suddenly one of these "planes" began to move through sky at will, whimsically even--gaining losing elevation, making impossibly sharp turns. The flashing became frenetic. Then other two flashing objects began moving similarly.

They behaved like this for about 30 minutes. They disappeared searched sky but they were nowhere to be found 2:15 AM After an hour searching sky my heart slowed down and I decided to turn over go to sleep. 3 "meteors" streaked from sky (west to east) to the ground behind some new townhouses, one-at-a-time in short intervals.

"Okay," I said to myself, "I'm awake again." I kept watching the townhouses. In a few minutes I noticed movement around the townhouses and 20 feet above townhouses, two unrecognizable shapes (because they were dark against a night blue sky) moving silently in a circular fashion.

Gradually they began to emit light began to see them clearly. My neck hair was standing on end. 2:25 AM They were two, sometimes three playfully eminating, green, misty, dancing globes above aforementioned townhouses almost cracked a smile watched dancing lights until they stopped, just before sunrise.

*That was it for that night.*** I camped here for the next couple days. I saw the dancing lights above the town houses every night.

Then on the last night I was to camp here, I was watching the dancing lights and suddenly a room in townhouse was brightly illuminated for a fraction a second, as if someone had a flash light (stark, cold blue-white light), then another, in sequence--as if someone was going room-to-room. But quicker than a human could run to each room. I wondered if there was anyone living there and hoped they were alright.

There were cars parked out front, but no sign of human activity. I wondered if this was some kind of signal. I was afraid.

3:00 AM It took me a while to calm down but, I turned over, my back to the townhouses and tried to sleep. I looked out toward the treeline. Trees relax me.

That's when a red light amidst the trees turned on at ground level. I figured it was the brake lights of a car. The light slowly and silently rose 15 feet into the air paused and began moving toward the highway, dispelling that thought.

"Okay, it's a helicopter far away, it's just further away than I think it is" I told myself. I kept listening for rotor wash. I heard none and under close observation I could tell it was in the stand of trees and I knew there couldn't be a helipad behind a landscaping company.

By this red light reached the edge of the stand of trees. I was on my feet, putting my shoes on, I was really scared and wasn't sticking around for this, but I couldn't take my eyes off of it. 3:10 AM It hovered there momentarily.

Then a white light seemed to turn on, but I realized that this object had simply begun to rotate. It kept rotating slowly and began a slow pass of the field along the highway edge. I knew it was a triangle now because I could see it's bottom now.

It had 3 lights, 2 white-ish and one red. Before I could collect my things it was directly over my head not more than 20 feet in the air. I could see it's shape clearly now; only because it blacked out the stars as it went.

It was a triangle with rounded corners. About 20 feet on a side. It did not stop as I recall.

Slowly spinning and swinging it's course around me, as if to say hello then off in the direction of the town houses. As it passed I noticed a low-rumbling sound, like a muffled V-8 at idle. 3:12 AM That's when I ran.

I ran as hard as I could with 60 pounds on my back in the opposite direction and hitch hiked out of there. If anyone has information on this or has seen anything like it PLEASE contact me ASAP! Thank you.

Lights in a fixed position and altitude for at least one minute and then departure was slow in a southwest direction Very large and at an altitude of 1500 to 2000 feet vertically above. Three lights to begin with. One light on one side and one light on an opposite side.

Each light would pulsate and change colors but did not change distance. A third light would somewhat appear in between the other lights but would fade in and out at times and would not be a constant or timed light. The light would move at a very slow speed in a southwesterly direction and would slow pulse and change colors.

A very dim out line of the object seemed to make a "V". There was no noise at all. The lights were directly over our house.

Once they started a move in a southwesterly direction the speed and intensity of the lights seemed to increase and before the object made a departure the lights came together and then went apart to the distance it originally started at and then the departure was white light and then it very swiftly left heading west and climbing in altitude.

I went out side to see that strange light through my window. And I was stund to see that strange object in the sky. It was like a triangle shaped craft hovring across my farm land and I can see windows and I can see shadows through the windows to And light lots of light.

Then I called my buddy out and he was fliping out. So I got my camara out. And the color was light blue light It was hovring very slow and then it left.

White disk flying over Montana My mom, daughter, and I were driving through Missoula, MT when we saw a white, non-reflective disk in the sky travelling Northward from the South. It was maybe 200 feet in the air at the most, moving slower than an airplane but faster than a blimp. We watched it dip down below the treeline in a valley approx.

a mile away. During this time I also saw a woman and boy in a car behind us pointing toward the treeline where the craft had gone.

5 rotating chevron craft seen above Whitefish on a summer night. At approximately 23:30, I went out onto the deck to have a cigarette, facing South-East I noticed three strange chevron shaped objects. The lights were mainly white but changed to blue and to green over a period of thirty seconds.

I tried timing them mentally to predict what color would come next, however there was no logical order to the color pattern. I called my two friends onto the deck to confirm what I was seeing and after approximately twenty minutes two more lights appeared. It appeared as if one of the larger objects was emitting the smaller objects, which also resembled the same shape.

The objects slowly rotated around each other in a clockwise motion. One of the objects moved farther away from the others into the West of the sky. The movement was not smooth, rather sporadic.

Eventually it returned to its orbiting formation with the other crafts. After roughly forty-five minutes I began to get tired and had smoked nearly a pack of cigarettes watching this scene. One or two of the crafts got too far away to view any longer and I went to sleep.

At a family dinner with my aunts, uncles, and cousins I mentioned seeing the lights. They said they saw the same thing and were puzzled by it as well. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date is approximate.

boomerang shape rotating, looked like parasailers, but objects were rising higher and disappeared my boyfriend were at schnucks on zumbehl road getting groceries and my boyfriend stopped as i was headed inside and said look in the sky. at first i thought in was hanggliders or parasailers and then realized there wasn't anybody hanging from them. and if that was what they were were they would have descended towards us/ or the ground.

but it kept raising but very slowly. the shape was boomerang like and rotating in an assortment of directions, so it seemed to be changing shape. then they disappeared into the blue sky.

there was no lights and no sound, and 3 aircrafts flew underneath them but these objects were so high i would assume that they were rather large. we thought maybe someone could give us some insight on the event that ocurred.

5 lights in the sky, one dripping blue sparks, incredible flash Peter, I heard you tonight on Ground Zero and was relieved to hear you ask for reports, whether they happened last night or 80 years ago. I had an experience in 2006 that had a major impact on my view of reality. I don’t tell many people about it, but thought that if it might aid your research that I would share it with you.

On June 6, 2006, I went out into my back yard to have a cigarette. I went outside at about 11:00 pm. Three hours earlier there had been a thunderstorm that went through the area.

I am a bit of an amateur astronomer, and I truly enjoy viewing the stars at night. On this particular night, the sky had been washed clear by the storm and the western night sky was gloriously filled with stars. I remained outside to let my eyes acclimate to the darkness so I could see the stars better.

The arms of the Milky Way were solidly visible. I must admit that I was a little excited. At about 11:25 pm, I noticed movement to the south about 20 degrees off of the ecliptic.

There were three white lights in the shape of a triangle, moving in concert from south to north. I smiled, amused that the sky was so clear that you could even see satellites passing overhead. Suddenly, the thought occurred to me that satellites don’t travel in packs of three.

Perhaps the International Space Station I rationalized. Satisfied with this rationalization, I continued to watch the lights steadily traverse the sky. As the lights reached approximately the center of Corona Borealis (although they were much higher in the sky), there was a brilliant white/blue flash.

The flash was elliptical in a vertical orientation. The flash was so bright that it faintly illuminated the entire neighborhood. I did a double take, unsure of what I had just seen.

I looked at the spot where the flash had occurred, and one light was continuing on the original trajectory to the north, at the! same speed as before. One light had disappeared, and the third light had reversed course and was headed south. It appeared to be (the best way I can describe it) “dripping” blue sparks and traveling in a jagging fashion.

I watched it in disbelief for about 15 seconds and then returned my gaze to the light traveling to the north. Just as I acquired its location, the light sped to the horizon, covering roughly 1/3 or the sky, in literally the blink of an eye. It disappeared beyond the horizon, out of my field of view.

I quickly looked back to find the light that was traveling to the south, and it was no longer visible. I ran into the house, excited at what I had just witnessed. I was headed to the bedroom to wake my wife, but reason got the best of me.

What was I going to do, wake her out of a sound sleep to tell her that I saw lights in the sky that aren’t there anymore? Logic settled in, and I returned to the back yard. I anxiously stared into the sky, sweeping the path that the lights had followed. Nothing… I remained outside, enjoying the stars once again.

About 10 minutes later, two lights appeared, traveling along the same route as the original three. They were side by side, and seemed to zig-zag periodically. I figured that perhaps my eyes were becoming fatigued and that it was my eye movement that gave the appearance of the sudden jerky motion.

I used a 4x4 post on the deck for reference and watched them carefully. They were indeed zig-zagging periodically. There was no discernible pattern or time period that seemed to accompany the sudden jerky movement.

Perhaps these were satellites or the ISS I rationalized. They continued on at about the speed and perceived elevation of a satellite. The two lights continued, side by side, from south to north until about 10 degrees above the northern horizon.

Suddenly, both white lights glowed brilliant red and zipped off in opposite dire! ctions, one headed west, and one headed east. Nothing else happened in the next hour, and I retired to bed. I realize that this is a little late to the party and probably won’t do you much good in your quest.

But I really did have to tell someone that wouldn’t judge me as some kind of whack job. It was cathartic even though it probably wasn’t of much use.

UFO over Culbertson Montana. I did not witness this myself, however, I have visisted with several people that DID witness this along with others that heard and felt the great sound of a supposed sonic boom or crash. This all happened in a South to North dircection and witnessed by people in the areas of Lambert, Mt.

Girard Hall, MT. Culbertson, MT. Brockton MT.

any many other areas. It was reported that the Boom or Crash along with the sighting of this was felt, heard and seen in the Williston, ND area which is quite a distance away. It was said to be reddish in color with green flare out the back.

The boom or crash was of such greatness that it knocked things off of peoples cupboards and walls in the Culbertson area. To my knowledge, no crash sight has been located.

A bright white light like I've never seen before In April of 2006 in Missoula In 2011, living in Waipahu, Hawaii (Oahu), we (my best friend) saw a very large aqua colored blimp-like shaped craft flying around the Ewa Beach & Waipahu area for 20 minutes or so. It made no sound and the big thing that caught my attention was it was flying in restricted air space where all incoming jets fly to land at the Honolulu International Airport. No one, including the military are not to fly in that airspace.

One month later at the same place in Hawaii, my roommate and I seen three crafts flashing in all different colors, round shape, and again these flying objects where right in front of the flight path of incoming jet liners in a restricted air space. They were moving around like someone would juggle 3 balls. After 5 minutes or so, they all disappeared into the water never to be seen again.

I kept this to myself long enough and I thought reporting them to you would add more information for you. I am a retired Chief Warrant Officer in the Navy (Seabees) so I can distinguish between what a plane and UFO are, and after what I’ve seen, I am now a full believer in other life outside our world.

Triangle or boomerang shaped silent craft over Butte Montana March 2, 2006 19:15 local I was walking my brother's cat on the Montana Tech Campus in Butte, Montana. This is something we often do. Between buildings there is not much light and I was admiring Orion in the southern sky as it was extremely clear and bright.

A motion caught my left eye and I turned to the east in time to see a "boomerang" or triangle shaped dark object moving against the fixed stars. It was black or unlit except for reddish glowing lamps pointed in the same direction as its flight.there were three to 5 of these lamps.

It was moving swiftly, at an altitude of 250-500 feet and was very large. It was totally silent. I especially listened to hear engines because I have heard others have seen these things and I suspected they might be some kind of slow moving blimp, but this was not moving slowly.

In a few seconds I lost the backround stars and lost sight of it. I also lost the cat and after wandering around an hour found her cowering behind a building air conditioning unit. She is also rattled and is hiding under my desk as I write this report.

Fireball of green/orange seen above SW Montana. A fireball of orange and green was seen above Bozeman when viewed from 8 miles west of town. object appeared to be travelling in a southeast direction and downward - appeared as a bright rapidly moving fireball against a clear moonlit sky, then the fireball went dark, flames etc appeared to extinguish, and a dark object appeared to continue its descent remaining visible *below the sightline* of Bridger Mtn range in background.

No impact or explosion was seen and no sound heard. Originally thought it might be an aircraft on fire. Incident reported to me by daughter at school in Bozeman.

A color changing circle with wavy edges and a beam coming out the bottom My fiance, brother and I had just finished watching a movie. My fiance went to let the dog out one last time before bed and noticed an unusually bright star int he sky. My brother and I came to look at it.

We all noticed that it was flashing different colors (blue, red, yellow and white. When I looked at it through my Dad's night vision binoculars I something amazing. Though the binoculars, it looked like a circle with wavy edges and it was the edges that were changing colors.

There was also a soft colored beam coming down from the circle. We were all very freaked out (becasue of all of the alien movies we've seen like "War of the Worlds". My fiance thought to check the sky on the other side of the house.

The was another bright star in there too an it looked the same through the binoculars. One of the shapes was in the SW sky, the other in the NE so that they were diagonal from each other across the sky. We tried to get a hold of someone at the local radio station and we watched television for a while but we couldn't find an answer for what we were seeing.

I hope someone can tell us, because it was a beautiful thing to see but also VERY scarey. The tragic part of the whole thing was that the battery on my video camera was dead. I did record a few seconds of one of the objects with my regular digital camera, but the zoom isn't so great and all it looks like is a bright flashing ball.

((NUFORC Note: Given the length of the sighting, and given the absence of other reports, we suspect that the possibility that the witnesses may have been looking at a celestial body, possibly Sirius, would have to be ruled out, before we could conclude that they were, in fact, observing a genuine UFO. On my way home from work in Billings, Montana, I observed a huge, firey thing hanging in the sky North of Laurel, Montana where I live. I watched this thing the whole way home. I am convinced it wasn't a plane, a cell phone tower, the moon, or anything else.

We got back in the truck at approx. 7:45pm (Mountain Time) to go look for it again and it was gone. Please contact me back on this.
