Cylinder shaped craft with bright diamond shaped light above On December 18th 2006 at 12:17 p.m., I was driving on Route #1 when I noticed what I initially thought to be an aircraft.

I continued to observe it and it appeared to be missing wings and a tail . It also had a diamond shaped bright light above it. The craft was cylindrical in shape and silver-gray in color.

I pulled over to the side of the road and took a photograph of the craft. I still do not know what it is or if it was even a craft. It remained in the same location for about two minutes.

I was looking at my camera photo and when I looked back up in the sky, the craft was no longer there. Photo available for identification purposes only.

Was walking dog with my fiance and an airliner was passing overhead. We were looking at it and its flashing lights, which is a common sight as we are near the Bangor Int'l. Airport.

We noticed however an ever brightning star behind the plane. It was getting so bright it drew our attention to it. It grew in brightness to the point a halo formed around it.

It was at its brightest about half the size of the full moon. It suddenly dimmed to a glowing red ball of light that slowly started to move away and then seemed to accelarate up and away very quickly to the northeast. I am former military and have flown on both civilian and military aircraft.

I've spent considerable time on military airfields and am quite familiar with a/c of all types, including the stealth fighter and B2. I also have an interest in astronomy and am familiar with meteors, comets, etc. What I and my fiance saw was unlike anything I have ever witnessed.

It has left me frustrated feeling like after seeing something so incredible there should be something more. Hope you find this report helpful in some way.

Illuminated but not shiny disc with three large pulsing lights underside, white to red, following path along the Atlantic coastline. Looking to the eastern sky I saw what at first thought to be a bright star or planetary object but as it moved closer toward the Atlantic coastline I could see that it was a flying object moving at an even but rapid rate of speed. In profile it appeared disc shaped with three large pulsing lights which changed from white to red during the time it was in my field of vision.

The sky was very clear and the object was about thirty degrees above the horizon.The craft I would approximate to be twice the lenghth of a commercial passenger jet and appeared illuminated from within. My impression was the smoothness of the path ,not as if propelled by itself but rather as if being pulled by some force across the sky.

The effect was somewhat hypnotic.

Very fast moving lights "chasing" each other and moving very eratically I looked up and saw a bright light, it dimmed and went what seemed, straight up. As it was going up, another light seemed to come out of nowhere and "chase" the first light. There were then three of these lights, circling and moving.

I ran to the house and got my wife. She immediately saw the same thing and saw 3 or 4 more lights moving in the sky. I thought the initial light was a sattelite, but then it was joined by the second light that was moving in different directions.

I thought that it may have been jet fighters training, but there was no visible contrail or any sound and they all seemed to vanish at the same time. Distant circles/spheres with red green and white lights apparantly chaseing around perimeter observed on Allagash River in Maine. My 5 middle aged friends (4 lawyers and 1 social worker) and I were on an 8 day canoe trip on the Allagash River in northern Maine. We were camped at the long lake dam camp site.

We saw a circle or sphere in the northern sky that was essentially stationary. The sphere was far off in the distance. We could see its reflection in the river water as well.

It had green red and white lights that appeared to be chasing each other around the perimeter of the sphere. It remained stationary for a lengthy period of time - or perhaps moved very slightly to the east. Later the same evening we noticed another ufo that looked identical to the first off in the opposite direction - to the south west, that very slowly disappeared below the horizon.

The next night, while camped at the Inlet site on Round Pond one of our group observed four of the same ufos in the very late night or early morning hours.

Telephoned Report: Pilot and passenger witness light to the northeast of their aircraft, which they could not identify. Telephoned Report: A young pilot, enroute to Bangor, reported that he and his passenger witnessed a peculiar light directly ahead of their aircraft, which they could not identify. He emphasized that the light was almost certainly not the landing light on another approaching aircraft, and that he could not see red or green navigation lights on the object.

When asked whether he had contacted Approach Control, to have them attempt to identify the object, he said that he had not. The light suddenly just disappeared, as both witnesses were staring at it from their cockpit.

Pulsating blue softball size lights in yard. It was around late summer or early fall, sometime in the early evening. It had previously been raining.

The street lights from the end of our block toward the town were all working, but our block leading up towards the weather center were all out. Our lights in the house had also gone out, first time since we moved there. I looked out our bedroom window and saw at least a dozen lights moving around in a neighbors yard.

I thought it was probably little children running around playing with flashlights, but I didn´t see any children. I watched two or three minutes and then the lights all darted upward at the same time, way over the top of their house, probably a dozen or more lights, and all took the shape of a circle of lights going round. I called my husband and he came and watched the circle of lights with me for several more minutes.

Then they started separating and going off in different directions. One ball of light came over the top of our tree line and ! went back and forth several times along the tops. It looked like a small sphere, maybe the size of a softball, and it was the color of a really soft but vibrant and pulsating blue.

After a few minutes it came down the side of our trees on the treeline, and then traveled in a very fast motion across the flower garden just under the trees, back and forth, just as it had done across the tops of the treeline. It did that for another couple minutes and then came directly across the yard in a very straight and direct line, toward the window where we were standing. Half way between the treeline and our window it stopped abruptly.

It just stayed in place about a foot and a half above the grass, kind of pulsating and spinning at the same time. We watched for another couple minutes and for some reason I got a really bad feeling. The window we were standing in was one of those that went nearly ceiling to floor.

My husband stayed watching it there. I went to the laundry room where ther! e was a smaller window higher up, where I could kind of just p! eek out. Then, it started moving quickly again, back to the flower garden, back and forth a few times, back up the treeline and back and forth over the tops of the trees, for several more minutes.

Then all of a sudden it just took off in my direction again and sailed right underneath the window I´d been watching from, out the other side of the house, down the driveway, and just disappeared. We knew by the way that thing acted, it was not any kind of swampgas. It appeared to move with precision and deliberation.

Within less than a minute, all the street lights on our block and in the house came back on. We thought about calling the PD, or weather station to ask what it might be, or if anyone else saw or reported anything, but thought they would think we were a nuts or making it up. We really weren´t into much knowledge of UFO things and didn´t really know what to think.

We don´t drink, we don´t smoke, we don´t do drugs, and it wasn´t in the middle of the night where we had just woken! up or anything like that, so we know what we saw was real. We just don´t know what it was. We were always the type that believes there is a logical explanation for everything.

A couple days later we were talking about what it might have been, and our teen aged son overheard us. He began telling us that at the same time, while the lights had been out the day that same day we saw the lights, he had been up in his bedroom and saw a bunch of little round light, floating around just below the ceiling in his bedroom. He said he thought they were different colors, but since he is color blind he wasn´t sure what colors they werem some were just darker than others.

He said he looked out his upstairs bedroom window (his room was on the opposite side of the house) because he thought maybe it was flashes from an emergency vehicle, but that when he looked out, nothing was there, and when he closed the window they were gone, so he had just ignored it all, and hadn´t thought anymore abou! t it. It has been a few years since that early evening,and we ! moved ov erseas, but we have not been able to forget about that experience. If anyone else has seen those kinds of things, we sure wish we knew what it could have been.

3 lights formed triangle in night sky well we were outside at 1am and were looking up at the stars when my friend notice one of the stars moving.then he noticed another one was then another one.then we noticed they formed a giant triangle and flew by in space the scatterd.

Very bright white object moving slowly then quickly going straight up till it could be seen no longer. I went out to my car and this really bright light caught my eye and it is really hard to explain a shape because it was so bright. When looking at it I saw like these rays beaming off it from the brightness.

It appeared to be moving slowly, lower towards the earth and north. Then it just started going up till I couldnt see it anymore. It didn't move sideways at all while going up.

I didn't observe any colored lights on it at all. From the time I saw it till it disappeared was approximately 45 seconds to a minute.

This object was Inadvertently photographed off the coast of Cape Neddick (Nubble Light) York Beach, Maine on June 26, 2006 at 18:35. The object in the first picture (to the upper left of the lighthouse (UFO62620061835.jpg)) was not actually seen until the pictures were reviewed several days later so there was no noise or tracking observed.

This was a quick photo intended to capture an image of the Nubble Lighthouse. This picture was taken on June 26 at 18:35 hours. The next picture is submitted for comparision taken 5 minutes later at 18:40, note the seagulls in the right mid margine of the photo (Seagulls62620061840.

jpg). There seems to be a definate distinction between the "object" and the seagulls. What do you think? ((NUFORC Note: Seagull.

Looked like a disco ball in the sky. Out around 8:30 pm march28 Tuesday, near a Sanford airport looking up delivering a package and it looked like a disco ball. It was flashing many colors and some white lights were still.

There was a bright circular object in the southern sky around 2000. It changed color from red to blue to white in a pulsing fashion. Object was reported on the 6am news on 30MAR06 on WGME.

It was in meduim size and red and white lights. It is not a plane. It followed our car on the road.

It stayed in sight distance of our car until we got home and I ran in my house with my Mom. It was scary, very scary.I could see it but with all the trees in Maine it was blured for maybe 5 minutes.

Then it came back into view when we got out of the car. I felt like something was going on in the air above or around us 15 minutes before it happened. ((NUFORC Note: Report is from young student.

Sphere with an eye or hole in it I was taking night pictures of wildlife and this very unusual object was on one of the pictures unknow to me until I downloaded the pictures onto my computer. Behind the object is a Pine tree about eight feet tall which would make the object about the size of an orange as the camera was about fifteen feet from the tree.

I'm 35yrs old and love to look at the stars. Tonight however I saw something extremely weird. 3 UFO's that where flying hoovering about 1000 ft up.

They had 6 flashing lights, RED, GREEN, BLUE, YELLOW, ORANGE, AND WHITE. I don't know what they were unless they are a new type of airplane or jet, but there was absolutly ZERO SOUND COMING FROM ANY OF THEM. So, tell me if you know what in God's Green Earth they are.

green object trailing haze It was around ten thirty at night I was laying in bed, watching tv. It was a ice cold, clear night. My window is one the left side of my bed.

I looked out the window real quick and got ready to shut my eyes when I opened them again I saw a greenish object shoot thru the air it was a perfect circle. It almost had a greensih tail too it, it could have been a comet or something, but the real unusal thing is that it when up than down towards the woods in a split second. After that I got up looked around alot longer, nothing was seen again accept I saw eight to nine planes flying thru the air after that happened.

It is not the first time I have seen unusal activity during the cold winter months. I am going to try to get my video camera to see if it happens again. Also these last 2 days my truck will not start.

And the baby moniter, and alarm clock make high pitched buzzings noises in the middle of the night.

Three lights form a triangle over Maine I went out to have a smoke at approx. 9 PM. I noticed an orangish light moving in the direction of east relative to the moon.

Thinking it was a plane but watching anyway I noticed it seemed to change direction and move back west. Still thinking it may be a plane I wondered why it would circle at that altitude and in that location, as the nearest airport is in Portland and the light appeared to be quite some distance away from Portland. I continued to observe and the object began to move in highly erratic ways, not typical of aircraft and at too high an altitude for a chopper.

It would move in one direction then abruptly the opposite direction. It made short "arching" motions, "swung" back and forth, and sometimes made very short zigzagging motions. I was sitting on my porch which lies on the left side of my driveway if you're facing away from my house.

The driveway is flanked on either side by trees. The starting point of my orginal sighting was behind the trees on the left side. At times the bare branches partially obscured my vision of it.

It continued to "swing" back and forth in a slow, almost drunken-looking manner and at times appeared to travel in half circles (although because of my perspective they could have been full circles). At times it would appear to move toward me, appearing to rise in altitude, then it would reverse direction with no apparent turning radius and move away from me. About ten minutes into the sighting I called to ((name deleted)), a housemate and the only other occupant at home at the time, to come take a look, asking him if he saw what I saw or if I was imagining things.

After observing for a couple minutes he confirmed the object did appear to be moving. I was able to call out the directions I thought it was moving in (right, now left, right again, up, left now) and he confirmed that he was seeing the same movements. The object continued to move in a general direction of east in relation to the moon until it was fully clear of the trees and instead of being on the far left of the driveway it was on the right.

Most notable about the movements were that although it was hardly ever still, they seemed to have a "directionless" quality to them. At times it would zigzag in quick motions, sometimes appear to "swing" or "sway", and it reversed directions seemingly at random. I stayed outside as long as I could.

My housemate and I had moved from the porch to the driveway to get a better look, and stayed in the driveway for what might have been 15 minutes. Then we returned to the porch and David went back inside. I was absolutely frozen at this point, the temperature was about 20 degrees.

I wanted to go back inside but was afraid to miss something. Back at my original position, the position I was in when the sighting began, it was notable that not only was the object not obscured by trees anymore, it had crossed the imaginary median of the driveway and was at a higher point than when it started. Finally I absolutely could not stay outside any longer.

I rushed inside and turned off the lights, hoping it would be visible from the two large windows at the front of the house. I felt pretty stupid for having sat outside for so long when I discovered it was indeed clearly visible from inside the windows. I made ((name deleted)) turn off the TV so there was no reflection on the glass to obscure vision and we watched it continue to behave in much the same erratic and meandering manner.

About five minutes into observing it from inside I noticed another light, this one brighter and whitish, in relatively the same spot the first had started in. It was acting much the same way, possessing the same "zigzagging", "swinging", half circle-making traits. The first orangish light sort of seemed to calm down with the appearance of the second light, still moving but not as obviously.

It seemed to settle in a basic area, northeast of the moon. At this point my mother came home and we all observed the movement. About 4 minutes after that a very bright whitish-blue "star" that had been there the whole time began to show signs of movement.

We all watched as the lights eventually settled into basic areas, still moving but not meandering around anymore. They held their basic postions (the first, orangish light appearing not to move at all anymore, the second only making occasional tiny movements and the third primarily seeming to "ascend" and "descend", but also making the characteristic half-circles and zigzags) and their positions formed an isoceles triangle tipped on its side with the "point", the brightest and most recent light, pointing southeast. The first, orangish light was holding position on the northernmost tip and the second whitish one was southwest of the orange one.

At one time a plane bisected the triangle horizontally and the objects did not appear to respond. A while later I stopped observing them. I was tired and my neck hurt from looking up.

I know they were present at a little past ten still. I don't know when they disappeared but by 10:30 they were gone. Another thing to note.

it was dark and cloudless but when the objects moved, especially when they moved dramtically, a cloudy or smoky haze could be seen in front of them and the light would be a little obscured. It seemed like the smoke mimicked the movements made by the light, i.e.

if they moved in an upwards backward-facing "C" motion, the "smoke" would also form a backward-facing "C".
