Large dark triangular object with two round lights on either end and smaller circular lights in the middle Playing cards late one night I kept noticing a bright light over the island several hundred feet in front of our lakehouse. This was not unusual because plans often came across the lake as one of the flight paths to the Bangor Airport. What was unusual was the light stayed the same with out changing and there was no noise.
Both, my husband and I kept saying "that's weird", but were convinced it was a plane. After some time we knew this was not right and went out side to see what it was and to our amazement we could distinquish in the night sky, a large triangular shaped object hoovering slightly above the trees of this 3 acre Island. Had the object been more directly over the Island, it would not have been much smaller in diameter; the air seemed muffled, but there was no sound.
Two large round lights which looked like the burners of a gas stove(bluish) were on two ends and under the object, in a circular form were smaller lights (greenish- if I recall). It must have been at leat 200 feet long (at least) My kids would swim to island, but it was about 1/4 mile in front of our house. There was no noise! My husband started to walk closer to the shoreline, to get closer, but I was scared.
When he did that it seemed to start to move slowly toward us, and I ran to the house. When I stopped and looked back it sat still for a moment or two, and that just bolted off (still no noise). We called the airport the next day to see if the stealth had been in, but we got no where for information.
I have written on-line,somewhere, but never heard anything. No, we were not drinking, do not have psychological issues, or obsessed about this issue. Just very weird, and after this event I would wake up screaming on many occassions, which I had never done before.
yet, I had no idea why. And, nearly six months after the event both my husband and I were slammed out of bed (in the middle of the night) by nothing we could see. We sat up most of that night trying to figure out what was wrong with us, or the house.
! . Maybe it had something to do with the object, maybe not.? WE sold the house, and the doctor that purchased it has told me he's been happy and not mentioned anything "unusual", and (of course) I was not about to say anything.
Maybe it was really the stealth, and maybe I just had some night screams for normal reasons (I don't know what, but perhaps it happens), But, there truely is no explanation for the violent forced blow sending both, my husband and I, out of the bed and on to the floor. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the event is approximate. PD)).

Silent Lo-flying Craft with Dome and Bright White Lights The following account is related here as told to me by my sister. The approximate coordinates of the house from which my sister observed the UFO are: 44:55:00 N 68:41:00 W In the fall of 1989, my sister, then 16 years old, returned home after seeing a movie with a friend. It was probably between 9:30 and 10pm.
She looked out of her bedroom window and saw a large, gray object with a dome top and one or more rows of white lights around the lower edge. There was one very bright light illuminating the path ahead of the object, which was flying "just high enough to clear the tree tops" -- (probably 50-75 feet above ground level) She estimated it to be "about the size of an average house." What struck her most was that the object made absolutely no noise, and was traveling too slowly to be an airplane.
The bedroom window faces due north, and the flight path was south, toward the house. When the craft passed over the house she ran to a back window to see if she could catch another glimpse, but she saw it just for a second as it disappeared behind the tree line and disappeared. My sister was slightly shaken by the incident, but did not tell anyone about the sighting for years because she feared ridicule.
She eventually told me and one or two others. I have heard many accounts of sightings. This one is unique because I do not believe it would be possible for my sister to imagine or create what she described.
She has always been a very down-to-earth, responsible, and realistic person. She is a college graduate with a degree in Human Development, was the director of a private pre-school for several years, and is currently a Case Worker for a Social Services Agency. She was a popular, well-behaved high school student with good grades and had no reason to seek attention.
(She doesn't even like science fiction!) The only nearby military airports are unlikely to be involved in experimental aviation. There is an ANG refueling wing at KBGR (8 miles) operating KC-135 aircraft, and a Medical unit with Huey and Bell helicopters. Brunswick Naval Air Station is nearly 100 miles away.
I believe Loring AFB was still operational at the time of the sighting; it is almost 200 miles to the north. My sister provided a pencil sketch of what she saw which will be submitted. If you have any questions about the incident, please feel welcome to contact me via e-mail and I will contact my sister.

Black Triangle over Lake Kezar in Lovell Maine in the Late 1980's It was in the summer time in the late 1980’s at night. I was with my family looking at the stars on a boat in the middle of lake Kezar in Lovell, Maine when a very large black triangle ship silently flew lowly over us. I didn’t see any lights, but I could be wrong.
I did see what looked like windows on the side. Not 100% sure about the windows. I don’t remember it taking on water, but it could of before we saw it.
It flew directly in the middle of the lake, and from the projected flight path it might of took prior it could of spent a few miles over the lake. After it flew over us it went into the mountains. It last about 5-10 minutes.
Unfortunately I don’t remember the exact date, but know it was in the summertime in the late 80’s. My family can verify the sighting, but they don’t remember the date either. As far as I know an early date for a black triangle sighting.
