Flashed like igniting twice then sped off super sonicly. Me and my friend were walking home from a Christmas Festival on a path, and I spotted a flashing green light. It looked like a plane, but when my friend turned to looked, it flashed twice and sped off to the horizon.

My friend thinks it's a an experimental aircraft known as an Aurora. I think that it's possible because we are only 300 miles from AREA 51.

Bright flash that seemed to be expanding from a moving light source. My wife and I had gone up in the kitchen to get a snack and I was finishing a glass of water and we both jumped when the whole back yard and neighbors back yard lit up like there was a spot light shinning from up above the houses. It was a flash and almost like a bright burst that seemed to illuminate over the houses.

It really scared my wife and me. I went out side to see a bright light above Little Cottonwood Canyon then 2 aircraft came over the range and seemed to be moving at a high rate of speed in a southwestern direction. We continued to observe for a bit and then decided to go back in the house.

Huge flash of light , two wintnesses that i know of when 10 miles apart at same time I was with my girl friend at her house and saw a huge flash of light that lit up my whole back yard to the point where it freaked me out!!! and my girlfriend saw nothing. i was taking her home right after and right when she gets home she calls me and tells me her sister asked if there was a helicopter outside her house because she saw a huge flash of blue white light and it freaked her out. sounded about the same time as when i saw it.

My parents house is over 10 miles to her house so the flash must have lit the whole sky!.

ME AND MY TWO FRIENDS WERE OUT BY THE DUGWAY PROVING GROUNDS,AND WAS WATCHING THE SKYS AND SAW NOTHING, SO WE STARTED ON OUR DRIVE HOME. 5 MINS INTO THE DRIVE MY FRIEND IN THE BACK SEAT WAS SAYING THAT HE WAS SEEING THIS BRITE RED\ORANGE LIGHT GO REALLY BRITE AND THEN TURN OFF. WE ALL SAW THE LIGHTS SO I DECIDED TO PULL OVER AT A PLACE CALLED HORSESHOE SPRINGS WHICH WAS MILES FROM WHERE WE WERE AT.

WE PARKED FOR ABOUT 10 MINS THEN WE ALL SAW THE RED LIGHT COME ON AND STAY ON FOR ABOUT 15 SECS THEN 3 MORE IN THE SAME SLANT ANGLE AT THE SAME TIME THAT WAS FORMING 3 OTHER LIGHTS IN THE OPOSITE ANGLE HAD FORMED 7 TOTAL. THEY STAYED ON FOR ABOUT 2 MINS THEN ALL BLACKED OUT. 10 SECS AFTER WE ALL SAW 7 JETS FLYING REALLY HIGH AND FAST HEADING TO THE SAME AREA.

THE LIGHT SHOW STARTED ABOUT 11:45 PM FLARES FALL AND GIVES OFF SMOKE WHAT WE SAW WAS NOT FLARES. I WILL HAVE FOOTAGE SOON. ! .

star-like object changed color from white light to red; moved very fast & maneuvred like no conventional aircraft September 14, 2009 UFO Reporting Center Dear Sir/Madam: At 1:45 this morning I observed a star-like object high in the sky above Salt Lake City, UT. It was moving in ways not within the capability of any aircraft of which I'm aware. It was making 90 deg.

turns, very tight circles, and sometimes came to a complete stop then sped half-way the length of the Salt Lake valley in a couple of secs. I watched it for approximately 15 mins. At 20:45 I observed the same object again over the valley.

This time it spent most of the 30 mins I saw it over the Salt Lake Intl Airport. On both occasions today the object looked star-like most of the time, but then it would turn a red color still faint and star-like. I'm a retired Chem.

Eng. I worked for Hercules Aerospace for 15 yrs in the Design and Analysis Dept. of Product Engineering.

Black Figure In The Sky. We were lying down on the tramp when we spotted a black flying object in the sky it flew over us and then started to sink we first thought it was a plane but then when it got closer it looked like a black teardrop. After about fifteen minutes we saw it further away and this time it was hovering further down and then we heard a kinda of roaring noise.

In Northeast sky about 60 to 65 degrees off horizon. Moves back and forth slowly, from a Northwest to Southeast direction. Directly above a star.

I noticed object a few days ago. Appears to be man-made, but? I can get photos with my wife's super telephoto if needed, but likely a man-made object. Any info would solve my curiousity.

Bright strobing light in the sky near Delle UT Slow moving,very bright, strobe like light, flashing at around three to four second intervals and moving slowly through the sky. The flash was so bright it left a flash in your eyes. It was about 100 to 200 feet in the sky.

Lights like string of pearls dance across Utah sky. A string of lights waving and dancing across the sky like 8-9 pearls fluttered across the sky in dancing formation. It came from the Northwest and headed Southwest.

Approximately 2 minutes later a helicopter following the same path went across the sky. Ten minutes later the helicopter came back over the same path. It was truly the weirdest thing I had ever seen.

Strange orange orbs appear and disappear over Dugway Proving Grounds,Utah. This event happened outside of the gates of Dugway Proving Grounds, Tooele County, Utah. Three friends and I decided to take a journey to the desert near Skull Valley and Dugway, Utah.

WE DID NOT BRING CAMERAS FOR THE SAFETY OF US AND THE BASE, IT IS ILLEGAL TO PHOTOGRAPH EVEN NEAR THE BASE. When we got there we watched a cop come from miles away with lights on and search the roadside for our car.The cop even found the exact turn off we took but we were well hidden.

After a while of watching the skies we saw nothing,not even military aircraft.The driver got tired and wanted to leave so we packed it up and got to the road and drove north towards the Dell exit in Skull Valley,Utah. While driving back I was sitting in the back right seat with my arm across the back of the seat just watching the skies behind us.

Hoping to see something I kept my eye on the sky and we passed this group of small buildings on the side of the road and I caught an orange light in the sky th! at at first I thought was a street light.not wanting to sound like a liar I waited to say anything,looking back at the buildings I realized that every single light in the entire area was a halogen blue/white light on every building and street light post.Finally I look forward and then back and I caught the orange orb in action! It seemed to just appear out of nowhere,it looked like a light switching on and after about five to ten minutes it would shut off.

Keeping in mind the possibility of flares, I didn't want to get ahead of myself but these didn't fall to the earth or even shoot upwards,but rather levitate in place. the light didn't flicker or flash it was a constant glow of light that gave you the feeling of fear just seeing it. The sky was dead quiet and there was no possibility of this being any type of "natural" aircraft.

After about a half hour of watching these lights appear and disappear they started to release additional lights/orbs in a horizontal motion,each light fired off AND would stop almost immediately and hover in pla! ce for c lose to ten minutes each.finally they stopped appearing but then a fleet of fighter jets came out of the base in attack formation and flew directly into the area of action. They seemed to patrol the area as they circled the area about three times before flying a little further out, circling around,and disappearing back into the bases RESTRICTED AIRSPACE.

Dugway Proving Grounds is one of the only if not THE only base who's airspace is restricted all the way to outer space. What we saw on this night was NOT conventional nor military aircraft. Please, I would really love to sit and tell this story to an expert or someone who is interested.

Possible early morning unusual flying object sighting in residental area of Utah. My eighteen year old son had been out with friends prior to the sighting. He doesn't drink or take drugs, but he called me to come visit to show me some pictures, so this is a second hand report.

(I live in Salt Lake City, and he lives 12 miles south of me.) He explained, the moon was up and he went into the house to get his camera and take picture of the moon with his Pentax Digital SLR 6 MP camera, with his 70-300 telephoto lens. As he was taking pictures of the moon, he noted a dark object slowly moving and hovering about 30-50 feet in the air toward the northeast, adjacent to an elementary school about an eighth of a mile away.

It was dark, and he could barely see the object, but noted it was slowly moving. He directed his camera toward it an got some picture. This evening, the 7th of August, I finally met with him and he showed me his pictures that he downloaded to his mother's laptop.

The picture quality was poor, but his pictures did appear to show a saucer shaped object, with some sort of a glow or reflection below it. He said when he saw it, it gave him a 'chill,' and felt like he was dreaming, he could not believe what he was seeing. It was slightly above the trees, and the pictures did show that it had gained some altitude, but still was hovering, with no sound.

He managed to get several pictures. Since this is a residental area, except for the large fields around the school, I would estimate that the disk or object, was only about 30 feet or so long. He went back into the house, and didn't see where the object went, except that it was no longer there.

This may be something else, like a balloon, but even the pictures, as poor as they are, seem to show something unusual. This may be nothing, but perhaps others saw it also, and perhaps worth reporting it to you. I served in the military as a pilot.

(I got off active duty and became a part time civilian flight instructor and worked for the Fire Department in SLC, which I still do.) One clear early morning about 02:30, in July of 1983, over the starry night skys of Utah, my student and I did witness an unusual craft within 50 feet. I remember the craft or object had a very unusual 'belly.

' It was a chilling experience, and never dared report it. My student never flew again!).

Multiple orb ufo's witnessed by four individuals. My wife and I along with our two friends pulled into Monroe, Utah about 2:00 A.M.

We were staying for the weekend at the local hot springs. All four of us had been on the road for five hours and decided to take a late night/early morning soak. We were all relaxing in the communal hot tub when we started looking for falling stars.

My friend and I witnessed a few falling stars over a ten minute time span. My envious wife starring deep into the sky finally thought she got her lucky shooting star. She said,"look at that star!" We all looked to the sky and witnessed what looked like a star moving across the sky at a high rate of speed.

The next thing we knew we were seeing these "moving stars" going in a variety of directions at different rates of speed. They would appear and move from one point in the sky to another. They seemed to dissapear as easy as they would appear.

All four of us wittnessed something unexplainable with a clear mind. There is no way these! were satellites or known government aircraft, just by the different rates and directions they were all moving.

Bonneville Salt Flats, July 09, Investigator, Bright White Lights, Semi-Circle, Pulsations, Motorcycle I am an investigator for MUFON and the state of IL. I purchased a bike in Reno on Monday 7/27/09, and was driving back to St. Louis on I-80 on Monday night.

I had just crossed over the Utah border and saw the Bonneville Salt Flats exit sign on I-80. The wind was blowing about 30 knots, which caused my bike to lean as I drove at about 80 miles per hour. It was dark, very few if any clouds, dry and the conditions were nominal except for the tremendous wind from the north blowing southward.

I was also wearing a helmet, full face. I was looking up at all the stars and the blinking lights of many airplanes traversing the sky as I drove towards Salt Lake City to find a hotel room for the night. As I was driving, I was thinking, this is the area where there are many UFO sightings.

About then, a white light then appeared to my right (S-SE) at very high altitude at about my 40 degree position. I estimate the altitude and distance to be 15,000 feet at 10 to 15 miles out. Why? Because it was about halfway from horizon to where the strobes of airplanes were flashing; therefore, 10 to 15 thousands feet.

When it shown its single light, it appeared to be a plane with a running light, breaking through the clouds--in other words, it had a halo-like effect. I dismissed this as a plane, even though there were very few clouds directly above me; however, at that distance there could have been more clouds in its position, obviously. As I drove, the ultra bright white light descended and was moving towards me.

About 1 to 2 minutes later, the light appeared again, altitude this time much lower and much closer than before, maybe 8 to 10 miles from my starboard, same position. This repeatedly happened about every 2 minutes, the light would power up, shine in my direction, then it slowly turn off, as if were a river barge light powering off. It didn't just switch off, it phased down.

I kept looking in my rearview mirror thinking that the light should eventually cross the road behind me since it was on a 90 degree angle to me and heading in my same direction. At some point, I should have traveled east of it's trajectory towards Salt Lake City moving past it’s heading to the north since we were on a perpendicular intersect, but that never happened. The light lit up about 6 to 7 times, each time it was closer, brighter, lower and especially disturbing, it was always in the same 40 to 45 degree position to me as when I first viewed it.

Logically that meant, I thought, that the light was somehow keeping pace with me, which became disturbing. I was extremely compelled to continue to look on that same starboard heading of south, south-east to try and figure out what this aircraft could be. I couldn't decide which was more interesting, the fact that it was getting closer to me, or the fact that it was always in the same bearing to me.

After about 6 sequential events of the light turning on and then off, duration each time as being about 3 to 5 seconds, it then was at its closest distance to me, about 1 mile or less. What happened next was absolutely exhilarating and I will never forget it, and this event then caused me to completely dismiss my original assumption of an airplane or helicopter and/or the characteristics of a man made craft that I had ever seen before. The second to the last time of this sighting the light shown at me, very close, one mile or less and at this time it continued to stay on.

One to two seconds later, two other lights to its left came on along with it, same luminosity, same distance, moving with me but NOT horizontally symmetrical to each other. They were all three equidistant to each other, but the middle one was at a higher elevation than the other two making it appear to me as a very flat pyramidal grouping of three white, brilliant, lights about 1 mile away from me. Now I could actually see the craft moving with me, matching my speed, as the light(s) stayed on much longer.

There was never any beam of any sort that I could see, and I looked to see if the white salt below the craft became illuminated because of these lights. It did not. Just brilliant white lights off to my 40 to 45 degree bearing each time.

The lights didn’t appear to illuminate my bike either. At the closest point to me, I estimate the altitude to now be about 600 to 1,000 feet at a distance of no more than 1 mile from me, if even that. Then, the three lights all turned off at the same time, slowly vaporizing down, like a river barge's lights.

There was no sound. My bike didn’t loose power or suffer any electrical failures. At this time, I now assumed these lights to be directly pointing at me for some reason.

This craft was intentionally pointing these lights at me. I somehow felt that this sighting was now more of a personal experience and not just some random lights. There was too much evidence of this now for me to dismiss.

I always saw stars in the background as if these lights were not a part of any solid craft or solid sphere. They appeared independent of each other but always uniformly symmetrical in their formation and distance, except, as I reported, for the slightly flattened pyramidal characteristic described above. The last time it shown on me was amazing! That same single light appeared one last time, same heading to me, same distance and same altitude as before.

From a distance of about half a mile away, I saw what looked like brilliant LCD lights, orange-ish/red-ish in color, lights SCROLLING from behind the light/object, arcing up and to the left in a huge semi circle, and as it came around the circle towards the front of the craft, I could see even more of the colored lights scrolling around the circumference of a huge, circular disk. But it was only a half disk and it was tilted left side up and right side down. About 6 to 10 of these very fast pulsations of brilliantly colored lights came from the exact same spot behind the light, circled around a huge disk shaped object and then came in to full view to me, larger and brighter and then abruptly ended at the white light that was still showing at me.

This was one giant pulse of about 6 to 8 individual scrolling lights which made the outline of a circular half disk. But the disk was on a tilt slightly, about 15 degrees, so the lights went slightly up, over and downward and then abruptly ended at the white light that had stayed on the entire time, about 10 to 12 seconds. I was so shocked by this.

I pulled the bike over on the shoulder of the highway. The wind was so fast, it nearly blew it over. I was speechless at what I had just seen and was hoping for it to appear to me again so I could video tape it with my blackberry phone, but it never did.

Some time went by as I had resumed riding and the light never appeared close to me again. However, I saw the light one more time off in the distance. It had flown back towards the Bonneville salt flats again in the distance and I last saw it just above the horizon, very far from me, south, where it illuminated one more time looking very much like a helicopter showing its lights on the desert floor.

It didn't seem hostile in any way.moreover, it seemed to want to show me that it was not a plane or helicopter that I kept insisting it was in my mind. It revealed its disk shape, 180 degrees of a half circle, in the most brilliant orange and red pulsations of light I have ever seen.

It was the same color as a cutting torch, maybe. I could always see stars behind it, but the pulses did reveal a huge semi-circle. I had not been drinking, I wasn’t tired nor was I on any kind of medication or drugs of any kind.

I was just enjoying my ride home. There’s definitely something weird at the Bonneville Salt Flats, in Utah?.

Strange light seen on Cedar Mountain neer Navajo Lake! On the evening of July 18, at 23:00 hours, I was sitting overlooking Navajo Lake on Cedar Mountain, when on the horizon I spotted what at first I beleived to be a comet. A large glowing cloud emerged from the tree line. I even mentioned that it looked like a comet to my freind.

He agreed that it was strange seeing such a large glowing star cloud in the sky. That is when things got even stranger. The cloud began to take shape and was soon the brightest light in the night sky.

It was a differnt color of light than the stars in the night sky. The color was of a yellowish glow and at least 5 times if not more the brightness of any other star in the sky. I called on my wife and son to come see what they thought it was.

The light appeared to move before all in witness. I grabbed my camerea and was able to take 2 photos. I took both photos using the zoom on my camera and tried using a chair and a cooler to stablize my camera.

The light was the only visible light to even be picked up on my camera. Before I could take a third the brightness faded to where it was no longer visible on my camera.(within 30 seconds) It soon began to look like a comet in the sky.

(when looking at a comet dead on it is harder to see than when looking at it from corner of eye.) The stars around the object appeared clear and in focus. After fifteen more minutes the cloud took the shape of a yellow light again in the night sky.

My wife and child were both getting nervous so I took them and went to bed. I have seen many amazing things in the night sky but am baffeled as to what this was.

Bright Sphere observed from Highland, Utah Scanning Lone Peak Mountian Top near Alpine, Utah on July 15, 2009 at 3:00AM July 15, 2009 Highland, Utah approximately 3:00am Was outside letting my pets out to stretch and use the restroom when I looked north east from Highland just above Alpine City towards Lone Peak Mountain and saw a bright yellow/white semi-large object estimated to be at least 50-100 feet in diameter creep over the crest of the mountain, then go behind the mountain heading south east and reappear over the next peak within seconds. Then the object then turned 180 degrees towards the North West and began scanning the mountain top with a shapeable bright white search beam. The mountain top is estimated to be about 4 ½ - 5 ½ miles away from my home.

The object was moving very quickly compared to conventional aircraft and was completely silent. Normally I can hear helicopters from that distance very clearly as the sound echoes of the canyon and mountain surface. The object had to be moving or jumping from mountain peak to mountain peak in less than a seconds.

It did not appear to be in a hurry but searched quickly and lit up ¼ mile sections of the mountain top almost as bright as day with its search beam. I could very clearly see the rocky surface and trees present on the mountain surface. I watched it move from place to place along the south side of the mountain top and ridge as if it were searching for something.

It probably covered about a 1 – 1 ½ mile area east to west then seemed to go north again just over the mountain crest out of view. The strange thing is that when it went out of view it appeared that its search beam was penetrating the mountain with a blue hue as if it were translucent or the beam were actually shining through the mountain as it searched both the north and south sides. Because of this translucent appearance through the top area of the mountain crest it was very difficult to gauge if the object was behind or in front of the north side of the ridge.

Very strange indeed, because the object was not visible when it went over the ridge but the beam was. Just when I thought I was wrong and that it just had its search light pointed away ! to the n orth it ascended upwards over the ridge to the south side again and the translucent looking beam spot looked as if it came up over the top surface of the north crest and then down the south side again only to get brighter and whiter. I then immediately began feeling my pockets for my cell phone to take a picture and remembered that I had a flip camera in the house.

I started to walk backwards quickly and then the object stopped dead in its search, I had a feeling like you get when in the back-country and you spot a deer and realize the deer has spotted you too. The object then pointed its search beam down the mountain slope in my direction but the beam only ended about halfway down the entire mountain ridge. I had a feeling that it knew I was aware of it now and quickly walked backwards towards the door while keeping an eye on it.

It then resumed search of the area with its search beam as I dashed in the house to wake my parents and get my camera to film the event. I woke my parents, grabbed the flip camera and ushered my parents outside to whiteness the event (about 30seconds). When we got outside it was nowhere to be seen and I stayed outside for the next hour long after my parents retired back to bed in hopes it would return so I could film it.

It never returned. The whole event only lasted about 2-3 minutes. I have seen strange unidentified objects when I was younger but nothing like this that was so bizarre and so visually active that lasted more than 45 seconds.

6 UFOs seen over Salt Lake City July 10th, 2009 July 10th, 2009 Returning from KCF, where we just ate. We were getting out of the car when I noticed this Orange object to the west. It was about 10:00pm.

My nephew and I saw this orange star like object silently come from the west. It moved over the Salt Lake valley. It was at about 4,000 feet off the ground.

At first it was moving fairly fast and slow down. It was slowing turning northward as it traveled. At times it almost stopped as it moved more northward.

Once it was over the northern part of Salt Lake City it just disappeared. We also viewed it with 2 pair of 10x50 Bushnell Binoculars. My Sony Handy Cam would not record it, but I could record some stars that were not even as bright as this object.

Perhaps the orange color is not as recordable? At 11:15pm we seen a UFO over down town S.L.C.

My nephew and I first viewed them with 10x50 binoculars. Also the next door neighbor joined us too, but became so scared she hurried back inside her home. The big Craft hovered for about an hour with 4 other orange , white and multicolored lights moving about also winking out totally at times.

We viewed these objects with 10x50 binoculars and with my telescope. I put a high power lens in the telescope and the picture attached is what it kind of looked like. With that 6mm eye piece I can see the rings of Saturn with it, even on a poor visibility night…… so we got a great view of it! It was awesome!.

Two circular shaped objects seen flying in an unusal pattern with alternating speeds and lights with varying levels of brightness. 07/09/09 23:07pm My boyfriend and I were sitting on the front porch stargazing, when we noticed a round shaped object flying in an unusual pattern. It appeared to be twice the size of a star with the light fading in and out.

We watched as it slowly moved in a circular motion and went in all directions, and appeared to travel great distances in a short time. Then a second object appeared within a minute of the first. Both were identical in shape, movement and flying patterns.

They looked as if they were dancing about, playing with and chasing one another. We observed both objects for approximately 12 minutes before they went straight over us to the north and then disappeared. They returned into our vision a minute later and continued flying at alternating speeds with lights fading and brightening every few seconds.

The objects did this 4-5 times before we lost track of them completely. We were able to view both objects for a total of about 18 minutes.

Triangle object seen for approx. 8 minutes west of Mount Olympus near Salt Lake City, Utah I was taking pictures of the mountains in the distance at sunset and as I zoomed in on the mountains this triangle shaped object became visible. The object is seen in 7 different pictures in 7 slightly locations.

The 8th picture was taken 6 seconds after the 7th picture and the object in not visible in the 8th picture. I was miles away from the object so no sound was heard. In one picture it looks like a vapor trail can be seen.
