Driving to Galveston @ 10 p.m. Nov.

of `81, I saw 100s of saucers, got out of car and pointed upwards but 3 other cars wouldn't stop. I know someone in one of the other three cars driving behind me on that deserted highway that October or November night between 10 and 11 p.m.

in either 1980 or 1981 would remember me getting out of my 1969 yellow Toyota Corolla and pointing up to the spacecrafts, if they were one of the people in one of the other cars that were driving behind me. I am 6'5" and at that time I weighed about 185 pounds, with 70s-style brown hair so I know I must have looked really skinny then. I was heading south on Highway 288, I believe, but as I said, I was lost so it could have been on another south bound deserted stretch of freeway on my way to where I lived in Lake Jackson, Texas.

There were three other cars driving behind me when I came upon the sighting and this is what I saw: I saw hundreds of sphere or saucer-shaped spacecraft soundlessly landing and taking off in the vacant field or pasture along the freeway. There could easily have been 1,000 of these flying saucers. They had lights in the middle bottom part of them and this "light" is what seemed to propel the crafts.

They landed three-at-a-time and the moment they landed, three others would launch. They seemed to hover momentarily, then in a beam of light, they would be gone, straight up and out of sight. With the other cars traveling behind me, I knew that I was not the only one who had witnessed this hard to believe sight so I pulled to the shoulder of the highway, exited my car and began walking toward the oncoming cars.

I waved and pointed upwards in hopes that someone might have a camera to document the incident. It surprised me when the driver of the first vehicle accelerated and kept going. Soon the second and third vehicle basically did the same thing, leaving me there alone.

At that point, one of the smaller saucer-shaped spacecrafts traveled directly toward me, stopping almost overhead, hovering without sound above me. If I could have picked up a rock and thrown it, I know that I could have hit it but it never crossed my mind at the time. There was a noticeably lit dome on the top of the craft which was opaque so I couldn't see into it.

I had the distinct feeling that I was being confronted and fear overcame me. I ran to my car, jumped into the driver's seat and with seconds feeling like an eternity, I turned the key. The engine strained and I thought I was doomed but soon, miraculously my car started.

I threw the car into gear, floored it and never looked back, however, it seemed to me that I drove away in extra slow motion as the car strained but seemed to continuously pick up speed. It was still dark when I sped away however, looking back on it all now, it seems that I somehow lost several hours. I remember arriving home around daylight the next morning and my wife accused me of being out all night, drinking with the guys.

I remember that she had said I was "a day late," but at that time I just shrugged it off and was just so relieved to be home. In 2005 I was diagnosed with an AVM in the left lobe of my brain. I have never considered that I could have been "abducted" that night, but I know without a shadow of a doubt that I actually saw what I saw.

I am positive the other people in the cars behind me saw the incident as well, however they did not stop as I had expected they would. It upset me that nobody stopped to talk about it with me, but now I realize that they were probably just extremely scared, exactly as I was the moment I realized I was alone. I haven't talked about this incident to too many people.

I probably wouldn't believe the story, myself, had I not experienced it first hand. I have often thought about that incident and have wondered who the people in those other three cars could have been so I Googled `UFO sighting in Texas City/Galveston in October/November, 1981. Anyone remember this?' and I saw the story of the guy who said he could see in his peripheral vision that the other driver was pointing upwards.

The question I have for that reportee, is, "Was this other driver a tall, skinny guy standing outside of a yellow 1969 Toyota Corolla?" If the answer is yes, then my question is, `Hey buddy, why didn't you stop? Do you know I could have been killed, or worse yet, abducted?' The people in those three cars probably thought I was crazy, but I honestly thought they'd stop, otherwise I would have probably never gotten out of my car. If I would have known they were going to leave me standing there, I would have stayed in the car, too, then floored it and left, but being the social type . I have to say that as I stood on that dark, deserted freeway late that night, that was one time that I wished I hadn't been as tall as I am.

My current wife said that in about 1973 or 1974, after a Friday night visit in the wee hours of the next morning, she and her family were walking some (visiting Channelview, Texas) neighbors out to their car in Sheldon Woods, north east of Houston, Texas. She said that as a group, four grown adults, a 13-year-old boy (my wife's brother) a 12-year-old girl (my wife) and a 9-year-old girl (my wife's little sister) witnessed, slowly traveling north over the housetops of the houses in that neighborhood, a huge, though silent, 400 to 500 feet-long rectangle-shaped spacecraft with lights all over it that seemed to be actively surveying the quiet neighborhood. Although as a group, they all just stood and stared up at the hard to describe spacecraft, my wife, her little sister and her parents remember the incident but her brother and the other two adults profess that they don't remember the incident.

In fact, they never discussed it until recently. My wife joked that her big brother and the two visiting adults must have been abducted therefore they probably don't remember. She is kidding, of course, but entertaining the thought that I could have been abducted that night in October or November of 1981 (and it could have been 1980) is actually not an entertaining thought.

I'd be interested in reading what others may have to say about what the chances are that I could have actually been "abducted,” and if AVMs are associated with this type of scenario. I will say that at times I have had an extremely difficult life with more than a normal person's share of trials and tribulations. I have always said that most of the difficulty I've experienced has been from the unwise decisions I've made, so it would be comforting to learn that it was never me, but the ALIENS, all along.

Seriously, despite the health problems and other difficulties I've had, I've now got my life headed in a direction that I'm content with. After making two incompatible choices for marriage partners, I was blessed with six beautiful children so I am thankful for these women for that. I finally married my high school sweetheart, (who has six children of her own, making it a dozen for us altogether.

) She happens to be a professional writer and helped me put this hard-to-believe actual U.F.O.

sighting into a flowing, readable story so I truly thank her for that. If you were one of the people in one of the three cars behind me, then it would be great to have someone validate my story, and if you feel like I have felt all these years, have me validate your story, too. Most people report seeing one strange U.

F.O. or experience, I've never heard of anyone else ever seeing this many U.

F.O.'s in one sighting.

Apparently obvious craft hovering without making a sound Im only reporting this now becuase im no longer worried about it.It's been long enough nobody would remember the incident other than me anyways.I got up to use the bathroom, went back to goto bed and looked out window.

Made mental notes of the weather and temprature in order to get an idea what conditions would be like for the weekend.Off to the west i noticed what appeared to be military craft of some sort doing manuevers. After watching for about 3 minutes i noticed there was no way any known craft could make that kind of speed from dead stops and those tyes of angles being flown.

I decided it wasnt worth wondering about any longer because i had to get up in a couple of hours to go to work.I went and layed down and went over the weather conditions in my head.I noticed that it also appeared to be a full moon and was attempting to remember the last full moon in order to figure out if it was on the incrrease or the decrease.

then i remembered that me and a hunting buddy had a full moon out the previous weekend when we were night hunting. Didnt make sense so i got back up and put my face against the screen to get a better look.I could make out one full globe with a dull shine and the edges of two more in a triangular position.

At first i was thinking it was a big weather ballon and it was descending over head. This thrilled me to death and i was hoping to get to see what type of gadgets they used for collecting data and reporting a downed balloon.Looking more careful i noticed that it didnt move at all and there was an outer "rim" this was all one object! A true sense of reality clicked in.

This wasnt lil green men! This had to be a military craft with "silent propulsion" it was real! I was standing there looking at it! Then i was terrified, it hadnt moved and any technology of that scope would also be able to know i was standing in my bedroom observing as well. I slowly went back to my bed, looked at my wife and began to pray for our lives. I never told anyone for years other than my wife the followng day.

She just glared at me and thought i had a dream. I didnt argue the idea. I didnt want anyone to know.

god forbid if i saw something i wasnt sposed to.Amazingly it was probably a few years later that UFOs were big TV stuff and there was also a report of a lady, daughter and her mother in a car out on Dayton hiway in Liberty county a9around the same time i think i saw what i did) who was exposed to hi radiation and had burns to prove it.They swore they saw military heliocopters around this thing.

It even bleached the road where it had crossed!!! I knew then that i had did the right thing by not reportiing it or making it into a big deal Or going outside to take pictures or signal the stupid thing to hover down and pick me up! I never made jokes about UFOs again and I never wish to see another one.I do know it was real and im totally convinced it was military. We didnt live but approx.

40 miles from a major airport.Theres no way someone couldnt see these things. This may sound stupid or made up or who knows.

After this long a dont really care. BUT! if someone else was around where I lived at that time and saw the same thing, maybe it would help put there mind at ease they werent alone and they didnt imagine it. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

With permission of the witness, we will forward this case to John Schuessler, International Director of the Mutual UFO Network, who has written the definitive work on the Cash-Landrum case from Dayton, TX, which occurred on the night of December 29, 1980, and which is alluded to above. PD)).

UFO sighting in Texas City/Galveston in October/November, 1981. Anyone remember this? One evening about 10:00 pm I had left night class at University of Houston Clear Lake campus to drive back to Galveston where I lived. There was only one other car on the I45 South Highway around Texas City area.

The car came up next to me and I could see with peripheral vision that the driver was pointing upwards, but I was afraid to make eye contact. The next morning there were newspaper reports of an UFO sighting. That night, my roommate and I, drove around Galveston Island looking for the UFO.

I was driving. An extremely bright light coming from the sky blinded me, whereby I let go of the steering wheel to cover my face with my arms and immediately it was over. I quickly put the car in park and we both jumped out of the car to hear if maybe it were a helicopter, but it was totally quiet.

Can anyone validate the sighting in this area during this time? ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the incident is approximate. PD)).

cant describe what I saw? And when I try something deep inside tells me not to!!! sorry. Well first of all I've never told anyone this before! I'm 37 yrs old now an this happened when I was 17,It changed me! Got me thinking of alot of things I was a tough kid in those days I thought. that night I'll never forget!!! Well, the experience started the day before.

My mom made me get a hair cut,an you could'nt wear a cap at school! So I skipped I spend most of the day in the "nature trail" that was part of our school. So, I looked for a place to "crash" til school was over. When I woke up I did'nt have a watch,an I did'nt hear the bell ring! So I was'nt going home! I went to my grandmothers house.

visited with her, an ate ! It was getting late! my grandmother reminded me that I had to go home. So about an hour later I left. The only thing on my mind on the way home, was I wonder if she knows I skipped! Well, I got to point where I decided to take a short-cut threw the "nature trail" The next 15-20 mins I will never forget!!! I started walking there were dogs barking at me from homes near the trail, I could see the path alittle from the moon light.

It was kinda cool or I was just scared! i had picked up two pretty big rocks & was carring them with me, in case there was something or someone in the woods. I was getting close to the entrance so I started to hurry alittle, then right there in front of me was something that i could'nt even describe I thought it was a joke at first but it started to move an it did'nt move right i mean who the hell would look like that & move like that in the woods! I raised arm Like I was gonna throw the rock! & I've never seen anybody move that fast, I started to scream things like I'm gonna kill your (F)ing ass!!!! an ran right for the entrance or exit! I ran about 15-20 feet & turned to throw the rock, An I saw A big bright light that shot straight up in the air!!! I ran til I got home, When I got there I just got in trouble for coming home kinda late! I know my life then to you probably seems weirder. i did tell a friend of mind but he did'nt believe at all.

well, th! ats my e xperience with what I call now "my close encounter". I know what I saw! an i wish & pray that I did'nt because I cant get it out of my mind! and I am really scared inside!!!!! thank you.… ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

circular light pattern that flew off with great speed in formation with 2 Air Force Jets on its tail. It was the summer of 1981. I was on an overnight stay at Lake Travis just outside of Austin, Texas, with 3 other friends.

I couldn't sleep for gazing at all the stars. They were beautiful as always. Sometime after midnight, I spotted lights flashing in a circular motion of red and green.

They appeared to be about the distance of todays satellite's, in the sky just overhead of me. This was a popular campsite and probably 20 - 30 people were scattered over the entire campsite. I was camping on the East side of Lake Travis.

I became fixed on the site immediately. After 1-2 minutes, they completed another circle and shot off out in to space in a straight line formation. As if to follow one another.

The speed was incredible. So fast I lost them quickly as they left a short streak of light behind them as they disappeared in the night, some 30-45 seconds more. I woke my 3 friends with a start! Trying quietly and calmly to explain what I'd seen.

This took another 2-2.1/2 minutes. Suddenly, 2 Air Force Jets came flying very low and very fast over the campsite and woke up everyone there.

They were extremely loud! We all held our ears for they were low. They flew up and towards the direction of the lights I had just seen going S-SW of the Lake. Everyone there witnessed the Jets.

I had no interest in UFO's at the time, but I felt I had seen what the Jets were after. It was only years later when television began showing a number of shows about UFO's that I became curious about what I saw that night back in the summer of 81'. Most sightings are near Air Force Bases or so I've heard.

Also, that military air vehicles are present at the time of other sightings. My best friend of 13 years at the time, (now 27 years) knew I wasn't joking about what I'd seen, however, my other two friends weren't sure. Everyone knew about the Jets, though.

I've been looking up ever since. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate. PD)).

9 craft were eventually visible for approximately 5 minutes. The lead in the formation was a large round light, followed by 7 smaller round lights, with the final craft pulling up the rear being a large rectangle in shape. When it was decided that it was a single plane pulling a lighted banner, the rear, rectangle craft raised up slowly and SHOT up about halfway up the line of smaller lights and stopped, it then slowly lowered and seemed to pass thru the line of smaller lights, then stopped, then as the last smaller light passed over it, it raised back up level with the rest and continued where it left off, pulling up the rear.

They continued slowly across the sky until out of our sight. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD)).

Full Report Text:

A multi craft formation of various shapes and sizes. It was in the early eighties, probably June or July, (I’m assuming summer time because we were at the lake for the weekend). My brother and a herd of our friends had converged on Lake Whitney located in North Central Texas to our favorite spot, Soldiers Bluff.

We partied well into the night, and it wound up being just myself, my brother and two or three friends that were still awake at 2:00 am. While the two or three friends stayed at the campsite talking and playing cards, my brother and I went fishing off of Soldiers Bluff. It was there, while sitting on an ice cooler, rod in hand…eyes on the stars, that we witnessed this event.

I had noticed a white light moving across the sky that was to close to be a satellite in orbit. As I watched this light, I noticed a smaller one appear next to it that I assumed was the other “wing light” of the “Plane” and that it was turning towards us. As it continued to “Turn”, (One was slightly higher than the other) the lights got further and further apart.

The further apart they got, the more I thought to myself “My God, That’s a HUGE Plane. As they leveled off, seven smaller lights appeared to swoop into formation with the other two lights. They now were heading in the opposite direction they had originally been traveling.

The first light was very large and round and white. This was being followed by seven smaller round white lights. The light taking up the rear was a large white rectangle.

We stared in total disbelief as the 9 craft soundlessly floated across the sky in front of us. We remarked to each other as to what they could be and finally decided it was a small plane pulling a lighted banner. AS SOON AS I said that to my brother, the craft in the rear raised up slightly higher than the others and SHOT forward halfway up the formation, very quickly, where it stopped and slowly floated down thru them to be below them where it hung there motionless until the last little light passed it.

As the last light passed over it, It raised back up behind the last little light and continued across the sky, taking up the rear, till they were finally indiscernible. We had asked our friends if they had seen them also. They said that they had, but I don’t believe that they did, due to their lack of astonishment (that was very evident in my brother and I) ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date is approximate.
