Texas UFO Sightings in 2011

We witnesed a reddish, paper lantern shaped object moving through the sky, about 20 degrees above the horizon. Family and friends were outside shooting fireworks with the kids. It was around 9:30 pm.

It was a clear night. Looking in a northerly direction, I noticed a reddish object moving to the right, in an easterly direction. It was about 20 degrees above the horizon.

It was shaped like a paper lantern. I pointed it out to my wife and nephew. At first, we thought it was some type of firework someone down the street had set off.

It is hard to say how fast it was moving, but I believe it was faster than the international space station, which I have seen many times. We watched it from the front of the house and when it went behind the house, we ran to the backyard and watched it til it went out of sight. We probably saw it for about two minutes.

There was only one object. It was shaped like a Japanese paper lantern. It was reddish in color, but the color was changing from deep red to almost orange.

It was bigger than anything else in the sky, even bigger than what Venus looks like when it is setting. As best as I could tell, it moved in a straight line, no zig-zagging. We did not hear any sound and we could not see any blinking lights on it.

I have 28 years of power plant experience, my wife has taught school 14 years and my nephew works at a chemical plant. I have some knowledge of the night sky, having studied star charts so I could learn the constellations. I also try to watch the space station when it comes over and I keep up with meteor showers and watch them, depending on my work schedule.

Three Circles of lights moved across the night sky. Around 8:30 pm on Jan 31, 2011, ((sic. December)) my mother called my attention to strange moving lights in the night sky which she saw through the front window of our home.

We went outside into the back yard and watched a circle of orange lights moving in a straight line from southwest to northeast about 45 degrees above the horizon for about seven to 10 seconds until they disappeared. The lights appeared go out rather than fade with distance. The size of the circle of lights was smaller than the moon and I believe that I could have covered the lights with my forefinger had I held out my arm.

We immediately noticed another set of circular red lights moving across the sky above us from south to north almost directly above us at the same rate of speed as the first, and then another. We went through the house to the front lawn and there appeared to be 15 to 20 sets of circular lights high in the sky, much closer than stars but not moving - they are still there at 10:52 P! M.

Rotating Object Moves Across the Austin Sky The object was seen moving across the sky in a southeasterly direction at a relatively low altitude. It was traveling at roughly 30-45 mph. The object was thought to be a bag but as it traveled across the sky its form never varied.

I followed it as far as I could into the horizon and I was able to see that the object was rotating horizontally much like a helicopter blade. The rotation speed was about once every second. It is hard to describe the appearance of the object.

It was clearly visible in the early night sky, yet it was almost translucent.

Stationary white light hovering in southwest region of Houston, Texas. Witnessed a light in the sky in the southwest region of Houston. My wife and I were driving on highway 59 (also known as the Southwest Freeway) and we saw a bright stationary light in the sky almost directly in front of us.

The sky was generally clear with very few wispy clouds. We watched it and noticed that it didn't seem to move at all, and was very bright- like a large star in the sky. It was a white circular light, shaped like a circle.

after about 30 seconds, it seemed to turn into a thin grey diagonal line and then disappeared. We kept searching for it, but it was completely gone. We observed this from the car headed on Highway 59 south, just north of Beltway 8 (also known as the Sam Houston Tollway).

Rectangle shape the size of a football field, width of about 30 feet, entire ship outline in white neon like a vehicle from tron. At around 3:00 a.m.

I lost Dish service, so I decided put out our 4 dogs before going to bed. All the dogs stayed by to door so I decided to go out and see what was going on. I walked past our deck and saw the ship.

It flew right over my house just above the trees. The object was the legth of a football field with the width of about 30 feet and it did cast a shadow flying over. The front of the object was flat divided in 3 rectangles which lit up by white neon outlining the ship.

The side of the ship was also lit up in white neon with 18 rectangles in total again the top 6 rectangles were smaller than the bottom 12. Bottom of the ship was dark black with neon white outline. The back of the object looked the same as the front.

The object made no noise but was moving very fast. Had no visible means of propolsion. I live close to Intercontinental Airport and you can see the jet propolsion at night.

As soon as the object passed over the dogs went ou! t in the yard, I stayed up to see if another one was passing by but nothing and went to bed around 4:00 a.m.

Twice with the same group I saw a craft not aerodynamic at all with no propulsion obvious silently move faster then sound. First sighting (One night leaving the medical station at the highfrontier a man named Gilbert pointed behind us and said "what is that boys" all 7 of us turned and saw a craft aprox 1 1/2 miles away hovering above a ridge I've riden horses over moving slowly about 30feet off the ground. It was rust brown red had orange lights in odd placentas and was spikey? Like the least aerodynamic thing ive ever seen.

But we watched it slowly passing above the yuccas on the ridge for about 3 minutes when is seemed to slowly stop completely then silently with no warning shot off in the direction it was facing so fast it looked like a light stretched out line that vanished. No noise. Nothing.

Everyone freaked out. Weeks later when my dorm mates grandmother was coming to visit same group of guys mind you,were waiting for her arrival it was like 11pm somthing at night, got the call on the radio she just passed the gate that's about 1mile away from the parking lot next to where we were waiting. So we went outside to wait for her maybe waited 5minutes and the very second her headlights became visible I heard a loud but low drumming hum for just a second and the same orange colored light we saw on that other ship thing was directly above us close enough to shoot a bb gun at it, most of us scattered chris grabbed the youngest mikey and ran off with him, I just froze and stared kinda petrified thought i would be alot cooler then that if a situation like this ever happened not gonna lie.

But the light didnt move for maybe 10 seconds then started darting around above us in a large area completely randomly like I've never seen anything move how quickly and randomly it moved off in between two mountains off in the distance that kinda make a large U shape. Besides the one loud hum it didnt make a single noise didnt whip up any wind nothing. It made absolutely no sense.

And the last thing I noticed was that suddenly I could see the stars again and where I was at you can see the milky way clearly brightly across the sky. And I mean until it was gone the ENTIRE sky didnt have stars it was insane. And this all took place it the time it took Zacks grandmother to have her headlights turn around the corner maybe 1/4 mile away and reach the edge of the parking lot.

We all saw it I gan give you names if you want to contact any of them this was real as hell. I know what I saw defied any logical conclusion I could throw at it besides its unidentified either super super top secret or something not from us.

It both amazes and agravates me that no one in my area has reported or talked about the strange red and white lights in the sky at night, when the sky is clear. I reported several weeks ago, and I followed it up with a phone call a few days later. I was told what I had seen was not a UFO, but no other explanation was given.

I have seen as many as ten of these objects in the skies on several occasions, and they are NOT stars, airplanes, satellites, Northern Lights, Southern Lights or anything I have encounted in my 65 years. As I mentioned, I have seen as many as ten of these objects in a matter of only a few minuts, as they do not normally move a lot. They normally remain in a particular area of the sky and make circular movements, and travel both vertically and horizontally for short distances, and remind me of a kite flying in the wind.

The objects always have a red light and a white light and at first glance one might think they were a star. Upon closer examination and observance, you will discover they are definitely not stars. I live in east texas and I can travel ten miles to the nearest city to me and observe the objects all during the short excursion.

I have to be careful not to cause a traffic accident on the highway while observing the strange lights. I have, on occasion seen the red light turn briefly to blue and a short time later it returns to red again. Usually the red light sits atop the white light, but I have on occasion seen the opposite with the red on bottom and white on top.

I once saw two of these objects which appeared to be reasonably close to the ground, one in the south and one in the west. As I was watching the two, the one from the south began to move very quickly to intercept the one in the west. As they drew near, they both went black for a few seconds and then the one from the south disappeared altogether.

Are we so complacent and apathetic that we just do not want to get involved? Or could it be that we are afraid of what people might think of us if we report this strange occurence? Whatever the reason, I am perturbed about the whole thing. In my opinion this could be our military using equipment which is not widely known to the public, or this could be actual and very real UFO's from elsewhere in the vast universe in which we live. I cannot believe another country has invaded our air space and our military knowing nothing of it.

I also cannot believe the military would not be aware of strange objects in the skies for at least the past six weeks in my area of the country. What the hell is going on here? Does anyone care? Have there been too many sightings which turned out to be something natural and explainable that we now just assume this is a hoax or the rantings of an nut? I assure you that I am not a UFO freak, and the report in November to this organization was the first ever for me as I had never encountered anything to report until that time. This is my second report, and I expect this to get as much attention as the first.

I do not have a camera capable of capturing the images of these objects, but I am sure someone in my area would have that equipment. Why not call someone who can investigate and take snaps or footage of the objects so we could learn what is going on? I do not know any scientists or astromomers and I do not intend to go to the local high school and ask the science teacher to bear witness that what I am seeing is, indeed real. Don't take me seriously, but one day I will look back and say: "I told you so back in November of 2011.

" Are we so prideful and arrogant that we believe, in this day and age, that we are the only possible life form capable of intelligence and the ability to travel beyond our own planetary system? If this is the case, then heaven help us when we learn the truth. I suppose this could possibly cause a panic if we learn that we are not alone in the universe, but to ignore the possiblity is unforgivable in my opinion. Will someone please investigate these objects and expain to the rest of us what they are? Please?.

Glassy, cigar-shaped, object, flying at a high rate of speed… UFO sighting: On, or about, December 15, 2011, after sitting on my hunting stand in Unit One of the Laguna Atascosa Wild Life Refuge, in south most Texas, the sky was a turquoise blue and not a cloud to be seen anywhere. I was a little bored after sitting there for several hours and not seeing any movement on the ground, I was being entertained by a flock of about thirty Canadian geese flying overhead in a south westerly direction. After they had passed by, I continued to look toward the sky when I saw as clear as day, a glassy like cigar shaped object traveling west to east directly overhead.

There was no sound or exhaust trails behind it. The object was flying at a very high rate of speed and much higher than the airliners that regularly fly by. I was able to follow the object for approximately five seconds before it flew out of sight and disappeared.

White lights around a large circular object moving down from the dark sky behind some trees I was over at my neighbor’s chatting with her & her brother on the front porch. It was a cloudy that night. I was facing toward the south & I happen to catch a row of six circular white lights moving slowly downwards.

The object was about a block away. I pointed at the object to show my neighbors & to make sure I wasn’t the only one seeing it.Their mouths dropped when they saw it.

The object was moving downwards in a diagonal direction to the right & was moving around in a circular motion while doing this. It was a relatively large object, I wouldn’t say larger than the moon though, maybe half the size of the moon if you were looking at the two side by side in the sky. It was moving really slow at first so I ran off the porch & snapped a couple of pictures of it on my iPhone.

It looked like it was pretty close to the surface, definitely not the height a plane would be traveling at. It started to pick up speed & soon it vanished behind the trees. I tried running around the corner to see if I could look through the trees, but didn’t catch any suspicious lights.

The neighborhood dogs started barking & I heard a strange ringing in my left ear. After that I got freaked out & ran back to my neighbor’s porch.

strange beam of smoke miles long in the moonlight of south texas. was driving on 359. when i look up an saw what looked like a the air stream that a jet leaves behind, but noticed that it was gettin longer the longer i looked at it an moving like a clock arm does so i pulled over , mind yu that i see it very well becuase of the moon light .

this light was what appeared to be like a light that comes from a spot light but was thin an looks like it was coming from ground up as far as i could see .but seemed to be like a light but not a light but a jet stream that never disapated.an move form the 9pm position to the 3pm position in about 15 min but in areas the it moved threw cloud the clouds moved in a funny disturbing way I called one of my employees an asked him to step outside an look becuase he was about a quater mile away.

I used my Iphone to capture several pictures. It stayed with me for several miles and then disappeared. I was driving, so i can't tell you what the shape was.

Austin, Texas ufo that was bright, triangular and fast and disappeared after about 2 seconds My friend and I both saw a bright light that seemed about 100-300 feet above ground level zip above our heads and disappear. This is the second time that I've seen this phenomenon in the area, the first time it happened it was about a quarter mile away and was even bigger and brighter and was distinguishable as a triangular shaped object.

Crescent Shaped UFO Passes over Houston November 2011 My sister and I were standing in front of our home talking, suddenly I heard a low flying jet pass over our home and immediately looked up at the sky. The sky was completely clear with many aircraft circling, but, I immediately noticed an extremely large crescent -shaped object flying at what appeared to be a much higher altitude then the known aircraft. In comparison this craft was approximately 1.

5-2 inches across, at least 4 times larger than any other discernible aircraft in the sky. The object was emitting absolutely no light or sound, and at several points it appeared that areas of the craft appeared to vanish then reappeared. At one point, there appeared to be a very low intensity blue light that pulsed from the center of the craft and radiated out towards the tips of the wings.

In effect it was as if the light was internal with-in the craft, but, the craft was covered in a smoked glass allowing it to emit and be seen. The craft appeared to be almost! the color of the sky, similar to a dark-cloud coloration, possibly a light blue, gray or silver hue, but barely discernible from the color of the sky at the time. The speed at which the object traveled across the sky was at a much higher rate than any of the know aircraft in the sky.

It was traveling from the west-southwest of Houston toward the east-northeast. Neither myself, nor my sister have ever seen a craft such as this, nor have any idea of what exactly it was.

UFO sighting yeilds uncomfortable sense that they can tell I was observing them. While unloading groceries from my car I spent my "ritualistic" minute looking at the sky, as always, fascinated by space. A movement caught my eye, a small light, about the size of a small magnitude star was moving directly overhead and appeared to be very high in altitude - I'm not sure how I know this, but, nonetheless, some instinctive detection of relative altitude let me know that it was way up there, maybe just outside of the Earth's atmosphere.

It moved from directly overhead slowly to the east, then northeast, then slowed and changed direction to south, then stopped, then moved in several different directions, seemed to be "hunting" something and I became very nervous, almost sensing that it could tell I was watching. I will not go back outside to try to video it as the English video available online from yesterday is so nearly identical.

There was a green flash of light over the city of San Antonio for about a second on Nov 18 at 2320. I live in on a hill that oversees the whole city of San Antonio. As I was driving home, there was a flash of green light that lit up the sky from the downtown area to the Medical Center.

Transparent UFO Seen by 3 teenagers. Well me and two of my friends were at the park at around 9.00pm talking about the govt and other stuff and one of my friends noticed that the north star had some sort of red light on the side of it so we glanced up at it for about 10 sec,s then for a brief moment it seemed to move around i thought maybe it was my eyes but what happened next shocked all of us we saw what appeared to be a shooting star crossing the sky but then an object that appeared to be transparent crescent shape larger then the cloud itself i am not very good with size but i know for a fact it was not a plane it had no sound it flew in between the clouds but it had lights between the width of the wingspan we looked at it pass over us then glanced back towards what we thought was the north star and it was not their strange thing tho every now and then when i look up towards the big dipper i see this strange occurring glowing of lights i know that these lights can,t be from any airplane pa! ssing or satellite.

Bright large hoving light that dissappear and reappered within a 10minutes time frame. It was shape bigger than star, very bright and lights that dissappear and reappered hoving in one spot for at least 10minutes. Quickly dissapates and return hoving in sky.

This does not look like a plane, also red spickle can also be seen.
