red circular object travelling at high rate of speed This sighting occurred in Birmingham AL approximately 9:00 PM Saturday night, December 31, 2011. I was on my back deck when I saw a small red glowing circular object about twice the size of the northern star at approximately 45 degrees above the Eastern horizon, moving south to north at a high rate of speed. The airport is approximately 10 airline miles north of my house so I see airplanes crossing the sky all the time and I would estimate this object traveled at least two to three times the rate of a normal passenger jet.

Being New Year’s Eve I dismissed it as fireworks but it traveled on a flat trajectory across the sky at what had to be an extreme altitude. It took about ten seconds to cross my field of vision before it blinked out and disappeared.

2 Night sky Camoflauged "things!" I was having a family get together around the holidays (unsure of exact date) star gazing. My sister, Daughter, Brother-n-law and I were on my back porch of a one story house. Just above the roof, hard to tell exact height but, looked as though you almost could touch it once it moved.

There were two egg/eyeball shaped “things”! They appeared almost see through. They blended in with the stars of the clear night. They just hovered there with no noise or lights.

Then they literally zipped away. The entire reason we even saw them was because it moved, really fast!.

Reddish orange lights fading and reappearing in different spots of the sky. My husband and I live in Irvington, Alabama. We were both outside at approximately 8:00pm.

I was working on some thing and my husband hollered at me to look in the sky. We were facing south and right above the tree line in the sky I saw two reddish orange disc shaped balls of light. They did not appear to be moving, but they slowly faded out.

So we stood there to watch, and they reappeared, but in a different spot just a little to the west of the first sighting. The sky was clear so the weird thing is between the first and second sighting we herd a thunder like sound. The lights faded and reappeared about 3 times within about 10 minutes.

That was the first time in my life I ever seen anything like that. It was amazing!.

Three sets of light fading, and showing back up in different spots. Me and my wife walked out side, and i looked up in the sky and seen 2 orange lights. One over the top of the other one, and they seemed to be hovering or floating.

they slowly faded away, and a few minute's later one showed back up. This time it was white, and it was in a different spot. It slowly faded away, after that 2 more showed back up.

They were orange again one over the top of the other. one of them stayed lit for about 30 seconds and slowly faded away again. I have never seen anything like this.

At first I thought it was flares, but flares fall, and they dont change colors. When we seen them we were facing south, and they were moving to the west. A few minute's after the last lights faded away we heard a loud thundering sound.

It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

Short sighting in front of clouds dull natural colored light I was at the end of my driveway taking down cans for trash an noticed a glowing orb shortly after it made a circle manuvor and I got out my I phone and started recording but it would not pick up the light so I got on my lawn tractor after it didnt move for a few minutes to get my wife to see it and drove back down keeping my head turned towards it after I got about 30 feet it made a wide oval and vanished from sight ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to provide no contact information. Single bright orange light, slow moving, solid flight path, no loss of altitude noticeable, no sound Very Bright Orange Light, Moving in a south-west to northeast track, had a slight flicker to the light, no tail, no details of the craft could be seen, moving est. 700-800mph at a altitude of maybe 15,000 if it was the same size as a 767.

Saw a light that appeared to be a star, but was moving very erraticaly before shooting off directly north. At first thought I was looking at a star, that's how faint the light was. It appeared to be stop, move one direction, stop, and move another.

It did this in the same location for about 10 to 15 minutes. It then shot off to the north. It began directly above me, and was out over the horizon with 20 seconds.

Objects of light, with a tail falling from the sky, then stopping mid-fall and moving independently around the area unlike an aircraft. I saw the objects as I was driving towards the interstate. At first there were 4 objects falling from the sky, that looked most like fireworks.

Each object had a “tail” streaming behind just like a firework that had just exploded in the sky and falling back to Earth. As I continued to stare, it reminded me more of a comet, especially with the tail and because they were evenly spaced in the sky and falling at the same speed. They looked more like concentrated balls of light than a firework explosion would.

The objects were higher in the sky but definitely at a very close range. Suddenly, all at one time, the 4 objects stopped mid air (a short ways above the tree line). The “tail” behind them disappeared, and they were clearly circles of light floating, now not moving at all.

Then they started moving side to side, up and down, in all directions. The movement was easy and fluid and when they moved the “tails” reappeared. I’m starring wide eyed, not knowing wha! t to make of what is actually happening, then it really got weird.

The objects, together as if perfectly synchronized, moved to an aligned position. It wasn’t a straight line, but more like 3 in a line, then the 4th to the side, like it made a pattern. But the way they moved to this position was the strangest.

Each object moved independently, but knew it was going to that particular spot. It reminded me of kids that file into a classroom with assigned seats. It’s as if you could tell they were communicating with each other.

It wasn’t a star, and it definitely wasn’t any airplane of any kind. The movement of these objects, the quick speed the floating, the dynamics indicated that it in no way could be an aircraft. Since I was getting on to the interstate, already in the turning lane, I couldn’t pull over to watch them.

But as I drove onto the interstate, they were still there, floating close to the tree line. They were no longer in my line of vision, so there is no telling how long there were really there. My husband was in the car behind me, and saw the same exact thing.

My mother was about 7 minutes ahead of me, going in the same direction, and she also saw the same situation. Above the objects in the sky was there was an actual plane. I’m not sure if they were watching the object.

But it was there the entire time. I drove up I-459 North, and looking in the direction that I saw the objects (to the right side of the interstate), I thought I saw one of the objects again near the tree line, but I really can’t be sure of that. It was much more difficult to see from that side.

There were however, a lot of planes in the sky. Planes that were not commercial airliners headed toward the airp! ort. But they seem to be staying around that same side of the interstate in the same area as the objects.

I have never seen anything like this in my entire life, but I know it was definitely not a plane, not any sort of firework, it was not natural.

Set of three lights floating over the Gulf of Mexico Looking West down the beach over the gulf of Mexico we saw a set of three lights appear and disappear 3 times. The lights were equally spaced apart and changed from orange to white and faded out one at a time. They seemed to be floating.

Unfortunately we never reached for a video Recorder which we truly are regretting. It was exciting but left us questioning what we were witnessing.

A large extremely bright silent white light moved on straight track from due south horizon to north and changed to a red dot then disappearing when directly overhead. Complete movement from horizon to directly above took less than 20 seconds. Light was seen from Lakepoint State resort Campground.

Super bright star shaped light, descending straight down in slow desent as seen from Gurley, Al I went to the front porch and thought that it was a super bright planet direct due east, I called out to my Husband to come and see. He laughed and said it was a plane, but it was very, super bright. Instead of coming closer, as it was so bright, it stay bright, but was sinking straight down.

It kept going down, very slowing. Straight down, untill it sank behind a hill top. The other side of the hill would be toward Scottsboro, AL.

Light falling from sky with whooshing noise heard. I saw a bright light coming down from the sky. I am positive that it was not an airplane.

I heard a kind of whooshing noise while watching the object. It is possible that it could have been a meteorite, but the noise makes me think otherwise. It also was not a firework as fireworks do not behave in the way that the object did.

These were all a oval dark orange colored shapes that seem to be flowing in some sequence. They appeared coming up from a mountain form tree line horizon that came up and then leveled off moving west. We could not hear any sound.

I counted around twenty different lights that all seemed to move at the same smooth speed as if gliding across the sky.

Strange bright spheres in the sky that sometimes changes colors and moves very fast and in strage directions My husband and I go outside every night and sit to enjoy the weather…about a week ago we started seeing strange movement in the sky …mainly in the east….looks to be a sphere shape that glows very brightly, and moves in all directions very fast…we watch this for about 20 mins and then just go back in the house…tonight, we went out and instead of one, there were two…one looked to be changing colors in the west, maybe a green and red and yellow…couldn’t tell exactly.One was just very bright and as it moves almost looked like it had some sort of tracer behind it, and this one was in the east… We go out at different times of the night, we have been looking every night now, tonight the first time we went out, nothing was there, second time there was only one and then we went out again and there were two….

The first time we seen any activity, my children saw it too…we actually videotaped it and tried to get pictures…so there has been a total of 4 witness this strange activity in the sky!.

Glinting metallic object moving at a rapid speed We were in our boat on Smith Lake when we saw a glinting metallic object in the sky. It looked to be silvery and it seemed to be traveling as the same speed as us (like the moon seems while in a car). All of a sudden, it sped up rapidly and traveled very far away and out of sight in a matter of 7-10 seconds.

white light ascends vertically Saw a bright white light approaching from my northwest. I initially assumed it to be an approaching plane from the Huntsville area. As the light reached almost due west, it flashed and instatly began a near vertical ascent.

The light visible during ascent (from what I now believed to be the bottom of this object) appeared reddish in color. The reddish light got increasing smaller as it ascended and finally disappeared.
