was I dreaming or what UFO Experience To this day I have never gotten over my strange encounter experience that occurred once upon a time around August of 1977. While driving on I-65 going south through Alabama/Tennessee and it was late at night probably around 11 pm as well, I truly had a close encounter with whatever, which is all I can say. At the time my now ex-wife was sleeping beside me in the car so she new nothing about it as it was happening and when I woke her up after this event was over she shrugged it off as a figment of my imagination even though she noticed that I was flushed and sweaty.
What occurred was that I saw a very large and extremely bright light that reminded me of a locomotive train light just behind me about 50yds or so just appear suddenly and it followed me at the same pace but its movement was so strange to me as I noticed because it didn't fluxuate with the contour of the road as I was moving or was I and there was no sound as if a helicopter. I wanted to alert my wife but I felt controlled as if in a trance or some hypnotic mind control and the only thing I felt that I could do was to only use my eyes to just look in the forward direction which caused me to keep glancing in the rear view mirror from time to time and as well, I noticed my palms were sweaty but for sure this was all I was allowed to do, I felt controlled to only be able to keep my hands on the wheel. It seemed like for ages even though in this report I say maybe a half hour and just as it appeared so did it suddenly disappear but to tell you the truth, I don't really remimber how long that this occurrence was happening or maybe time was standing still or whatever, I don't really know.
The other thing that I keep going over and over in my mind besides the light is that I noticed there were no cars in either direction all the time this occurrence was happening up until it was gone which also seemed strange for an interstate highway But anyway the years have passed and the other day I was watching the history channel on ufo's and strange sightings so I was compelled to go on the net and do a little surfing and your site came up and well, now you know mine. I never felt comfortable talking about this subject even to this day but it seems like a lot of people are coming forward so, why not I.

Summary : Approx. six glowing silent objects flying over head at high rate of speed in broad daylight at ft. Mcclellan, Alabama July 1977 Solid overcast day.
Objects glowed and details of construction could not be seen other than the fact they appeared to be saucer shaped and at a low altitude due to cloud cover. I watched them for approx. 5 seconds until they flew out of sight over the trees.
I saw them very clearly, most amazing thing I've ever seen. I don't know who else saw it because I didn't ask.

Bright Light hovered and followed me Date of Sighting: June 1977 Location of Sighting: Alabama/Tennessee Keep Private My true story experiences, I am now 57 yrs old and have never gotten over my experience at a time around June 1977, while driving through Alabama/Tennessee going south on the interstate highway I-65 and late at night, probably around 10pm and please keep in mind that I never have really talked about my experiences, just so I was not looked at as being crazy. It seems now is the time to talk about it, why now?, why you?, who knows. I was driving south on a summer night when all of a sudden, I felt like I had a close encounter with whatever it was.
At the time, my now exwife was sleeping beside me in the car, so she new nothing about it, as it was happening and when I woke her up after this event was over, she shrugged it off as a figment of my imagination even though she noticed that I was flushed and sweaty. What occurred was that I saw an extremely bright and very large light that reminded me of a locomotive train light just behind me about 50 yds just appear suddenly and it followed me at the same pace but its movement was so strange to me because it didnt fluxuate with the contour of the road and there was no sound as if a helicopter. I felt like it seemed for ages that this strange event was happening or maybe time was standing still or whatever, I dont really know, even to this day, its always in the back of my mind, haunting me. I also noticed that there were no cars in either direction until it was gone which also seemed strange but anyway the years have passed and I was watching the history channel and it talked of ufo's and strange sightings so I was compelled to go on the net and do a little surfing and your site came up and well now you know mine. I never felt comfortable about talking about this subject even to this day but it seems like alot of people are coming forward, so why not I.
But after this episode my life literally changed around me, it steered me away from the RF communications (New Products prototype engineering) and into the New Products or unusual products of Defense electronics as well as travelling into far away lands for Defense Corporations. It's funny how a strange experience can help drive you into different arenas or was I being driven by something else, but anyway, I have had a lifetime of experiences working in and around the unusual, which has lead me to either live or travel into 16 countries, why me?, but they are finished with me now and its only a matter of time before I fade from existence. Oh by the way, when I was around 15, a few of my friends and I were just hanging out late one night and we all saw what I can only say was a flying cigar shaped craft with no wings and lights around it travelling across the sky and we noticed it for at least 5 minutes but we just shrugged it off and by the way I went into the studies of Electronics after this episode at this young age, was it my choice or was I being driven, who knows? ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate.
