Alabama UFO Sightings in 2007

A cylinder of blue pulsing light and some sort of craft concealed in a thick low hanging cloud On December 15, 2007 around 9:30 p.m. my husband and I were heading home.

We were on the Southside of Birmingham and were driving up Arlington Avenue South to cut through to Montclair Road via Carlisle Road. We live in the Crestwood/Irondale area of Birmingham. The weather was in the low 60's and overcast and a bit gusty and there was rain in the forecast.

Not really unusual for the south but for some reason it just felt odd almost the way it feels before a thunderstorm or even a tornado. When we turned onto Montclair from Carlisle, we drove just a short distance approximately a quarter of a mile to where the Pilgrim Church is and we noticed through the trees and up to the left a flash of a very bright blueish light that lasted maybe a second. We both expected to hear thunder or a boom from a transformer but we heard nothing.

As we continued on maybe another quarter of a mile, we were approaching a red light and intersection. It should be noted that there is a ridge to the left that runs parallel to Montclair and at the intersection there is a post office to the left and just up from there is another building that houses the Orthopedic Specialists. This ridge is mostly residential.

As we were about to pass under the red light (speed limit is 25) to our surprise the brilliant blue light reappeared on the ridge just behind the Orthopedic Specialists building. We were maybe 500 feet from it so you could see it very clearly. What we saw was truly amazing and we have never ever seen anything like it.

The light was a brilliant plasma blue. It seemed to pulse, it was bright but not blinding. The cylinder was very large, approximately about 50 - 60 feet across and about 100-120 feet tall.

There seemed to be a cylinder within a cylinder. The outermost cylinder had a very 3D appearance and the best way to describe it.a Hexagon.

It was slowly rotating counterclockwise. The innermost cylinder was smooth but it didn't really seem to rotate. You could pretty much see through the cylinder but because of the light it definately had a hazy glow to it.

The cylinder extended up towards what appeared to be a circular stack of levels starting with the lowest level closest to the cylinder, which was made up of rectangle shaped lights arranged around the perimeter of possibly the bottom of a craft. It too was rotating in a counterclockwise direction. The next 3 levels stepped up and out and disappeared into a very dense low hanging cloud.

You absolutely could not see what was up in the clouds and I have to say that the cloud was unusually low and very dense and despite how windy it was seemed to just hang there. The craft just hovered there and it lasted approximately 5 seconds. Then just like a light switch it turned off.

There was no way to tell if the craft disappeared or if the light just turned off. We continued traveling down Montclair and trying to put our minds around what we saw. We had probably travelled less than a quarter of a mile and that took less than a minute when just like before it appeared again.

It seemed to be travelling very slowly along the top of the ridge. When the light appeared it just seemed to hover over the houses along the top part of the ridge. Again, concealed in the cloud.

This time we pulled over and rolled down the window. There was no noise, no whir, no sound at all. All of a sudden all of the lights to the left of Montclair Road where the craft was hovering all went out.

The entire neighborhood was cast into darkness. Of course, curiosity getting the best of us, we decided to turn up into the neighborhood towards the area that the craft might be to see if by some chance we might catch a closer glimpse. All of the houses were dark, no street lights.

very eery but it was obviously gone. As we made a U turn to go back down towards Montclair there was a very clear view of another ridge that is a few miles away and we could see transformers blowing one after another, maybe 5 in all . The saddest part is I actually had my camera in the backseat, why o why didn't I pull myself together enough to get out my camera and record the event.

At any rate, this was absolutely the most amazing thing that either of us have seen or experienced. I have to say I have always been a skeptic but I just have no idea what this could have been but it definately seemed to have some purpose or intention in what it was doing. What would that be? I have no idea.

Disc with 4 blue lights. Travelling on Old Madison Pike Road heading East at the intersection of Hughes Road I witnessed a disc with neon/flourescent blue lighting travel slowly across my field of vision, and then come to a complete stop. I stopped the car and continued to view the object which would move slowly and then stop and then move again in a different direction.

I began to take pictures with my camera phone, when it came directly above me. I leaned out of the car and listened and heard what i thought might be a slight whirring noise. As the object moved to directly above me, I noticed that there were 4 lights on the bottom, and very intense.

They were in the shape of a square, as if they were on the 4 points of a square. That was the array of the lighting, although the lights appeared to be circular or cone shaped and were very bright. I observed for a while, and took a few pictures with my phone although you can only see lights in the pictures because the camera isn't very good and it was dark.

Small , violet-blue, quiet u.f.o.

moves and hovers around grocery store parking lot in Madison, Alabama. I noticed a small violet-blue light slowly moving above the parking lot of Kroger's grocery where I was standing. It quietly and playfully moved around the perimeter of the parking lot and store with intervals of hovering.

All of this was at very low altitude although it did change that as well. At onr point, it was not that much higher than the store. It looked round shaped to me with the violet-blue light outlining the roundness with 4 smaller circles on the the bottom of it.

When it moved around, it tilted some making it look more like a slender disk. I am not sure how long this had been going on before I arrived but people were standing in the parking lot looking up in amazement. One guy was filming it.

It was around nine at night when I saw it and, just before 10 minutes had gone by, it all of the sudden tilted and took a sharp abrupt dive behind the store which would be a field. A few of us, myself included, looked behind the store and it was just dark. There was never at anytime a sound.

A comet type object in night sky. I went outside to replace a fuse in my Christmas lights. The time was between 18:10 and 18:40 .

I was conscious of the time because I had to take my son to school for a function at 18:40. I looked up in the sky and saw what I first took to be a comet, but I did not think there were any comets around. I then decided that it was just a star and distortion from my glasses lenses was causing me to see a tail.

Normally if an object is distorted by my lenses I can look dead on at an object and the distortion will clear. In this case however, no matter what direction I looked at the object, the tail remained. I was in a hurry and just decided that because this thing definitely had a tail I guess that I had missed the fact on the news that there was comet visible in the night sky.

I then justified this decision by thinking that I remembered hearing on the radio about a comet. The object looked to me very similar Hale Bopp. I did not study it for more than a few minutes, knew it was out of place, then justified why and went about my business.

It had enough impact on me to look for it again, when I went to unplug my Christmas lights, but I could not locate it. I didn’t think much of it until I heard Peter Davenport on Coast To Coast. Sorry I didn’t study the object closer.

Comet-like cloud with faint flashing light appeared in clear starry sky, drifting North across Casseopia. Sighted comet like cloud moving towart constellation casseopia, has faint flashing light, called son in N Florida who also could see object. Object drifted into Casseopia around 6:15 CST, becoming vague.

Strange object over Alabama, cloudy and spherical in shape. My brother and I and one of our friends were outside when I got home from work. They saw the object initially around 17:30 and claimed it to be much brighter than it was later on.

They claimed the object moved erratically until it finally settled in an area straight up from our position. Initially, I thought the object was the recent comet that burst into a cloud as the object was cloudy with a prominent bright spot on the lower part of it. However, the comet shouldn't be as bright as this was nor was it in the right place.

Large round object with long and wide tail was seen moving slow in a northeast direction in evening sky. It was a very clear and dark evening sky with stars shining at 5:30pm when I looked straight up from my back deck. The object was round and very bright with a large tail following that was also wide.

I called 5 people in different locations to see the object. One of the people 11 miles northeast, saw object said a plane was following. It was moving very slow and was visible for one hour and the tail could be seen for 30 minutes.

large white object at tree top level, slowly moves higher in sky as the sun comes up. I get up very early in the morning ,and have my coffee on the back porch. For the past month or more there has been this large white object at tree top level in my neighbors backyard.

It slowly start to move higher in the sky as the sun starts to come up. I have been watching this amazing event for some time now,and no one can tell me we don't have visitors from other worlds watching us. I wish the truth would finally come out, we have a right to know.

Green Fireball Me and a friend saw something around 11:15 to 11:45pm Mobile, AL in the eastern sky it was massive, it lasted maybe 3-5 seconds before it pretty much fell out of the sky definatly heading south-ish. This thing looked big enough to be a flare or a firework, but was definantly neither of the above. http://tomsastroblog.

com/?p=938 others spotted this object but I cannot locate anything official from any agency which seems odd as I'd like to imagine we have radars to detect this type of activity.

Disk above Daphne AL, accompanied by a light. It was directly over head and was saucer looking from where I stood and had 4 black circles on the bottom, but it looked like a circle (hope you know what I mean). Also it left a green and blue trail behind it.

but right before we saw it we all saw a strange flash so we looked up(thinking it was lighting) and there it was. Also all night we observed what looked like a star except for the fact it kept moving to different spots (this is the rreason we were outside in the first place when we saw the blue and green squiggle). Im sorry if this seems out of order but I left this out: the saucer we saw left a green and blue squiggle trail behind it which is how we knew it wasn't an asteroid or meteor.

Brightly lighted Object appeared total of 6-8 times in different locations in night sky over ocean for few seconds and disappeared 6 of us were sitting on a balcony at a condo facing south at 8:30 p.m. and saw a bright lighted object appear in the sky.

It would stay lit only a few seconds and go out. It reappeared in a different location and would only stay lit a few seconds and disappear. The last time I saw it it appeared to be saucer shaped and had a light at both ends - one of the others said they saw 3 lights that seemed to be moving around the center.

Each time the object appeared it would disappear within a few seconds. I tried to take a picture but didn't get it. At first we thought it was an airplane and when it disappeared we didn't know what to think.

It reappeared again in a different location and went out and we all said it was really freaky. It appeared 6-8 times total.

The bright white light from last night made a return appearance tonight. My brother and I were walking around our neighborhood for our nightly mile, and on our final lap, we noticed that the UFO from last night was back again, in the same location, and at the same time of night. This led us to believe that this particular UFO is orbiting Earth.

The tiny flashing red dot flying near the large object had also returned, but it was higher and to the right of the object from our perspective. We didn't bother watching for long, as we already knew what it does from its actions on the previous night. Again, it's still in the sky right now.

A hovering light in the sky that was too big and bright to be a star or planet, and moved slowly in various directions. ((NUFORC Note: Sighting of Venus in eastern sky?? It is very prominent, currently, at this time of morning. PD)) My brother and I were driving home from Wal-Mart at 4:04 in the morning.

While on the off-ramp leading to the road back to our house, we looked up at the sky and noticed a very large yellowish-white object in the sky, too big and bright to be a star. While we were stopped at the red light at the end of the off-ramp, we also noticed it was moving slowly to the left. Since planets do not move that quickly from a point of view on Earth, we also knew it wasn't a planet.

When viewed with the naked eye, we even noticed wing-shaped protrusions. I though it looked like a phoenix. When we finally arrived home, we could no longer see the object through the tall trees, so we had to walk down the road to view the craft with a pair of binoculars.

We stood there for 20-30 minutes watching the craft. We noticed that it had a flashing red light on its underside, and had a faintly visible flashing red dot moving around it. We are not sure whether or not this was another craft, but if it is, we believe the larger craft is a mother ship.

The large craft also had a starburst light pattern around it, which did not twinkle, indicating that this was definitely not a star. While we watched it, it stayed still for the majority of the time, but every now and then, it would noticeably move to the left, to the right, up a little, and further away.and at one point, closer to us.

It also occasionally changed shape. We walked back to the house at about 4:30, and noted that it was much higher up in the sky now; we could see it over the treetops while standing next to the house. It was also moving much more frequently, and slightly more quickly.

At approximately 4:56, I ran into the house to wake my mother up to show her the craft. At approximately 5:20, after my mother and brother had gone back into the house, I noticed that the red dot that was flying around the object had flown into the object, and a dim blue light flew out in its place. The craft is still out there right now.

Triangular light-formation over forest near Jackson, AL, around midnight. I was looking out my window, toward the woods, and just above the tree-line appeared a triangular formation of lights slowly drifting across the night sky. Most closely resembled an equilateral triangle.

I couldn't see the actual outline of the object- only the lights that formed the shape. Three small white lights formed each corner of the triangle, with the tip clearly pointed in the direction of movement. One large blue light, softly blinking on and off, was in the center of the triangle.

The object came up over the tree-line at approximately a 45-degree angle, continued in this direction for several seconds, then suddenly reversed its course in a strange motion, like a rotation, and came back down in another 45-degree angle, until it disappeared behind the trees and could no longer be seen. The entire path it traveled seemed to the upper part of a triangle. It was the only time I ever saw it.

Spinning cylindrical object that lit up my yard with light. I'm not sure if this was you would consider alien, it may have been a satellite for all I know, but I could never find anything about satellites being seen like this. It happened a while back so the date isn't exact, but the year and time is.

I was standing on my front porch in a very rural part of North Robertsdale. I stepped outside to smoke a cigarette and noticed out of the southwest (My porch faced west) this spinning object moved across the sky due east. At first it looked like one of the many satellites that can be seen moving across a clear sky at night, but I noticed it was rotating like a well thrown football does (Sorry, best way I could think to describe it).

As it moved closer I could see the light wasn't just on the object, but was beaming off of it, like a hugely powerful spotlight. As the light rotated around the craft the beam was reaching out a great distance as it rotated around the object. As it got closer the beam was brighter, until finally as it moved over head, the beam made a sweep across my yard, again directly over me, and continued across the field behind my home and presumably along the entire direct route that the object traveled until I couldn't see it anymore.

This light was very bright, and swept rather quickly, but lit up everything it went across like it was daytime. I was frozen in terror. I had of course heard UFO stories and never really knew what to make of the subject.

But that thought in my mind that it might be a UFO scared me like few things have. I immediately went inside and started searching the internet for satellite sightings and if there were any that rotated and would maybe reflect the sun off it's panels. I never did find an answer to that question and I'm hoping maybe someone here can help me come to understand what I saw.

I've only told a couple friends about it and never reported it because I always thought it was probably a satellite. But every year or so it pops back in my head and I search for a while to see if anyone could explain it for me. So please, if anyone can help me understand what I saw or reaffirm that it actually was just a satellite, please get back to me as soon as you can.

UFO Sighting over townhome community in Birmingham Alabama On the night of August 19th 2007 at 8:30 P.m. my wife and I were driving home taking a road we drive very normally during the week.

The road is Old Springville Road in Birmingham, Alabama, in a part of town called Clay, in Jefferson County. We were about driving down Old springville road, and were about to pass a townhome community named Sommersby. When turning the curve right in front of Sommersby my wife ectstatically yelled, "Look, Look right there.

" What we both saw was very surreal and chilling. Off in the distance some 100 yards away, and about 50 ft above this particular grouping of town homes a multileveled, disc-like, object hovered. It had rectangular lights solidly lit around the perimeter of the disc.

It was saucer shaped, and appeared to have four banded levels. I immediately drove into the neighboorhood to get a closer look, but upon doing this the craft must have been aware and either manuvered away to fast to observe, or cloaked itself. The real scary thing about this event is that we have seen a disc hovering above this same group of houses before several months ago.

It was a nearly identical disc. I am afraid for the people of this neighborhood, and can only wander have they seen this too being in such closer proximity than myself on the road? ((NUFORC Note: We cannot certify that this is a serious report. PD)).

A space ship about half the size of a golf green, child sized aliens, and burned grass of area that the space ship landed and debree Well me and my friend were walking his dog and the dog took off and sat about 100 yds away and we eventually caught up with the dog we looked up and saw the UFO hovering above the ground and making lots of loud noises it had a bright red ring around the middle of it we sat for a few minutes and watched it land on a green of a golf course we saw a few child sized aliens get out thats when we ran away because we were petrified that we might get taken by them as we were running there was lots of airforce planes circling the skys and police were coming down the street as we ran away but when we called the police they said nothing happened that night. The next morining at around 6 am we found remains of things that appeared to be tinfoil like but as strong as metal and the grass appeared to be burned or torched. ((NUFORC Note: Certainly a hoax.

UFO moving West on Cobbs Ford Road toward Prattville, AL - Oval shape and glowing. July 27th 2007 : Millbrook, Alabama Location: Millbrook, Alabama USA Date: Friday, 07/27/07 6:00am EST Approach Direction: West Departure Direction: East Witness Direction: West Description: Friday, July 27,2007 - while driving west down Cobbs Ford Road toward Prattville, Alabama I saw what appeared to be a UFO streaking across the sky. It was a long oval shape, definetly not an airplane, and was glowing.

I was looking out my windshield when I witnessed this. The object was closer than an airplane height and was moving at a fast speed. It was heading in a straight line and just disappeared.

There were no clouds in the sky. I think that it was moving so fast that my eyes could not keep up with it. I have never seen something just disappear.

My son was in the vehicle with me and he witnessed the same thing. I have oftened looked into the night sky hoping to see a UFO. I was not prepared at all this morning for what I saw.

I keep replaying the incident over and over in my mind to try and remember something else, but this is all that I seem to remember. I am definetly a believer now! Color/Shape: Long Oval, Yellowish-White glow.

Two pinpoints of light over DoubleOak Mtn. My friends and I were on our way back to our band practice house when I saw these two small, distant points of light travelling over the top of double- oak mountain. I decided not to tell my friends, as they are not inclined to believe.

I kept my eyes on it as we moved towards Chelsea. It seemed to rise and fall thousands of feet with relative ease(I used clouds as a background marker to help determine altitude). I do not think it was an airplane.

Airplanes normally have flashing lights turned on at night. This one was either not an airplane, or the pilot received a very nasty letter from the FAA the next week. It eventually faded from view.

There were also 2 other planes in the area. It is unknown to me whether they were chasing it or if they were just "there".

We saw the same as reported below on July 25 and July 26 in Gulf Shores at Fort Morgan area. Sighting Report Occurred : 6/6/2007 22:00 (Entered as : 06/06/07 22:00) Reported: 6/10/2007 2:21:43 PM 14:21 Posted: 6/12/2007 Location: Gulf Shores, AL Shape: Changing Duration:34 minutes Orange Glowing Unidentified objects over the Gulf seen by 4 different people at once. My Husband first noticed a orange looking circular shape appear over the ocean.

He pointed it out to the rest of us thinking at first that it could be some sort of spotlight from a helicopter or plane. Within a minute or two the light suddenly dissapeared and reappeared in seconds above the coast line to the right of it's original location. This flashing from left to right went on for approx.

5 or more minutes. There was no sound, no flashes, no type of trail as though from any form or flare or fired round. The lights stopped for a couple of minutes and then reappeared more extravagent.

I personally witnessed the light appear over the ocean and then another orb seemed to stretch out of the original. The cloned orange orb moved faster than light to the far right and then in a quick spinning type motion the light stretched and lines appeared in it. Those went away and then suddenly 4 different ones appeared with the last one to remain being in the same spot as the one that had spun.

That one two spun and they all vanished. This lasted from the time we noticed it for about 34 minutes central time. There were no planes, no helicopters, no jets, etc.

and no sound at all. I never believed in anything and am still not sure of what it could have been except that of a UFO considering the fact that we can not identify it. The beach was full of crab hunters, so others who may not have been focused upon the beach could have witnessed this as well.

We did observe these through bonoculars, however by the time we thought to grab a camera the lights stopped. I guess our word is all we have though the lights stayed long enough to get plenty of pictures, I think we were all more stunned than anything.
