When I was 19 I went to go see a friend late one night, we were outside her house in my car talking and suddenly my stereo started working which had always given out static before. my friend and I looked at each other as if we had seen a ghost then something caught my eye a football field away there was a cigar shaped ship with Windows (as long as 2 jumbo Boeing's and in height)completely engulfed in flames blue and green it was definitely crashing we both started screaming it was moving awkwardly slow as if it were a blimp, my friend begged me to stay inside but once it kissed the top of the tree line behind her neighbors house I got out. as I looked over the top of my car to keep up it was gone it just vanished there was no crash no explosion.

I only took my eyes off it for maybe a sec to peer over the top of my car . Immediately I wanted to call the police but my friend said we shouldn't .shortly before this on my way home going down double bridges roa! d in Boaz I saw what I thought was a shooting star as I was saying my wish it turned and shot off the other direction.

I've never seen anything since nor have I seen aliens but I know this was not our technology. Im 40 now and I've tried to forget this and ignore it but I cant,wish I had never seen this but now that I have kids I feel I should be honest with them.

There was a bright fireball in the southern sky that was so intense that it not only illuminated the ground but also hurt your eyes to look at it. My wife and I were delivering the local paper sunday morning in seperate vehicles but in the same general location and we both agreed when we discussed it later that we had seen exactly the same thing. I has gotten out of my truck to place a customers paper in his tube when I noticed the area becoming very brightly illuminated and when I looked up to discover the source of the illumination I noticed a very bright "fireball" in the southern sky.

The object resembled a ball like would be released from a roman candle as it emmited sparks as it traveled across the sky. ((NUFORC Note: Correct date of event is 05DE99. Date is corrected here.

4:30 AM Sunday morning December 5, 1999. I witnessed a light that lit up my entire back yard and then an explosion sound followed. I also witnessed what I and 3 other people consider to be a UFO.

It was visable for over an hour. At approximately 4:30 Sunday morning, December 5, 1999, I woke up from falling asleep on the couch. I proceeded to bed and when I did I woke up my wife to ask her to move over, she then sat up and questioned me about the time.

Before I could climb into bed a bright light like I have never seen before lit up my back yard. The light the proceeded to slowly climb up both of my windows at the same time climbing up them at a slow pace. The light illlumated my entire house as if it were day.

Just as the light came it went, with the darkness came up the windows in the same fashion. We estimate the light lasted around ten to fifteen seconds. I then ran outside where I saw nothing at all.

I do have a clear view of each horizon. I live on about a five hundred acre farm. As I walked back inside an explosion sound rattle the house such as an earthquake might.

At this point I was completely in shock and had no idea what was going on. I then ran back outside and this time I noticed an object in the sky in which I had never seen before. This object appeared to be in a saucer/disk shape.

I estimate it was about one thousand feet away. The object appeared to be hovering over the mountain behind my house. It came across as slowly drifting around and sometimes with great burts of speed.

One thing that stands out is that the object appeared to be circular with spotlights all the way around it.It would shine just like a lighthouse. Myself, my wife, her father and her grandmother all witnessed this event.

We believed that it might have been a planet but as we blocked it out with a tree we noticed that it moved on both sides of the tree. It moved with great distance. It was in the southeastern sky.

We watched this object for over an hour and half. I have no explanation for this nor the light. But most of Shelby County reported to 911 seeing the lights in the sky and hearing and feeling the "sonic boom" as some people call it.

Though it has been on the news, many reports are conflicting and many peopl! e and ra dio stations are calling this event a coverup. The news is reporting that a meteor, a very large meteor came through and made the night time day. I know what a meteor is.

I have seen several come through the Earth's atmosphere and burn up. If this was a meteor then it was one that had to be as large as a car. Though that still does not explain what the four of us witnessed for over and hour.

I hope that you can help shed some light on this. Maybe you can help me understand why there are so many meteor sightings lately all across the U.S.

15-20 people witnessed an unexplainable event on dec. 5th 1999 which lit the sky as if daylight there were about 12-15 of us out driving back from a fraternity event. No one had been drinking as booze is not allowed at these types of events.

I was driving my car with three passengers and myself down a wooded two lane road. I was tired as it was late that night and I pulled over into a church parkinglot to allow my friend brandon to finish the rest of the drive back. As I approached the passanger side car door, the sky lit up as if daylight, it was the most beautiful color blue I'd ever seen, almost as if the sun were beneath my feet shining a spot of light on the sky overhead and in an intant it was gone back to black.

As I turned my head back to the west I saw what looked like a black square with sparks shooting off from in front of it, flying at an unbleivable speed and dissapeard over the treeline in about another 2 seconds. The sparks looked exactly like what you would imagine a childs sparkler on new years would look like all around the black box. It wasn't until last weekend when the unusual event came up again in conversation that I figured I'd see if I could find any info on it.

Looks like many people saw what we saw.

HUGE BALL OF LIGHT, FALLING DIAGNOL, THROUGH THE CLOUDS. LIT UP THE SKY AS IF IMMEDIATELY DAYLIGHT. APPEARING TO MAKE IMPACT SEVERAL MILES AWAY.

5-6MINUTES PASS BEFORE HEARING THE SOUND OF IMPACT/COLLISION. LOCAL NEWS REPORT=METEOR, NOT YET FOUND. ON A THIRD FLOOR PATIO OF A LOCAL BUSINESS TAKING A BREAK, WIDE AWAKE.

JUST ONE SPHERE SHAPED, APPEARED TO BE VERY LARGE, BRIGHT WHITE(FLORESCENT) LIGHT.LIT UP THE SKY AS IF DAYLIGHT. AGAIN, FALLING DIAGNOL THROUGH THE CLOUDS.

ABOVE, THROUGH, IN AND BELOW THE CLOUDS.AT FIRST, FOR A MOMENT, WE THOUGHT A CRASHING HELICOPTER, ONLY TOOK A MOMENT TO THINK THAT. NOT BOUNCING, BUT FALLING.

NO COLOR, ONLY BRIGHT FLORESCENT LIGHT. FALLING DIAGNOL, LEAVING OUR SIGHT, MOMENTS LATTER WE ALL ASSUMED IT HAD TO LAND/CRASH. SEVERAL MINUTES LATER, 5-6 MINUTES WE HEARD THE COLLISION SOUND, THE ONLY SOUND WE HEARD.

SLIGHT TRIMMER UNDER OUR FEET. LOCAL NEWS=METEOR, NOT YET FOUND. SO THEY SAY THEY HAVE NOT FOUND IT.

Three orange\red lights in triangular shape pulsating down from the stars but not moving,stayed stationary,then disappeared. The weather conditions were very clear,it was a frosty night,about 33 degees farenheit,with no cloud coverage.I was walking up the steps to my door when some flashing directed my attention to look up at the sky.

At first I thought I was looking at three very brightly shining stars widely spaced apart in a north westerly direction but pulsating strongly. Then it occured to me that stars are not reddish-orange usually but these lights were as high up as the stars.They did not move,made no sound nor did I see any outline other than the lights would be at each corner of a huge triangle.

I watched for about five minutes,went inside,came back out and they had gone.

We saw a strange contrail and craft. I was on my way to drop the kids of at Church when I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It looked like something falling out of the sky smoking.

Nothing was visible.We never saw anything come out. It looked like a contrail after it fully appeared.

I dropped them of and went back home I immediately told my husband to come out on the back porch to see if he could tell me what it was that I saw. He looked and he said it is a cloud , but it was not moving like the oter clouds. I told him that at first I thought it was a meteorite.

We then decided it was some sort of contrail but there was no aircraft in sight. We continued to watch and he saw a nikel colored object fly out of it. I did'nt see it at first then I kept watching and I saw it fly back into it , then a few seconds later it shot back out and flew all around this contrail or what ever it was.

Then it disappeared for a few minutes. We kept watching and it flew back out and disappeared . We never saw it again.

I was scared by this . I don't know what it was, neither did my husband . It started out as some sort of weird contrail and then it became stationary, then this nikel colored object flew all around and in and out of it for about 15 minutes.

Very weird. When this object was flying you could hear no sound or see any contrail coming out of it. I don't know what it was I have never seen anything like it.

My husband is a floor covering installer and I own my own cleaning service. I can assure you we are not a couple of ufo nuts . Until now my husband has been a skeptic.

I believe there is something going on with all these sightings, but I am not so sure it is from somewhere else, but what-ever it is I would feel safer knowing that our Government knew about it. But I also feel that as a tax paying citizen that I have a right to know what it is. Also about an hour after we saw this we heard jets flying, we looked out and they were headed in the same direction as to where we saw the "thing" for lack of a better word.

I would not have thought that strange until they turned around and went back several times , like they were doing a grid search . Thats about it I hope you can explain what this was to me I am really worried about it. Thank you.

Bright light coming from back yard and a surreal sensation of forboding. At the time of this event I was 38 weeks pregnant and 27 years old. I am now a 30 year old single mother, in a professional field and working towards a masters degree in computer science.

I'm a very grounded, technical minded person who is skeptical of all things that seem illogical or cannot be tangibly seen, and this is why I've waited so long in reporting this event. I was sleeping in the guest room alone due to my being uncomfortable in my pregnancy. I had just moved to Montgomery, and my 17 year old sister was visiting in order to help me set up the house for the baby.

She was asleep in the den on a sleeper sofa. Earlier in the night, we'd left the sliding glass doors open to let in fresh cool air because I was always complaining that I was too warm. I recall that I awoke in the night and instinctively walked into the den, almost as if I were sleep walking, and indeed I believed that I was doing so at the time.

The entire room was bathed in light, coming from the back yard, and it was so bright that I could not see anything in the yard clearly - not the pool ten feet from the sliding glass doors, nor even the patio furniture directly outside. I could see that there were forty or fifty large moths on the ceiling of the den, and their shadows were long from the light. At this point I felt a deep dread and blacked out.

The next morning I awoke in the guest bedroom with dirty feet. I went immediately into the den to wake my sister, and shrunk back when I saw the moths on the ceiling. They were not there the night before when I'd gone to bed, and seemed to me to be evidence of the event.

My sister's feet and bedsheets were not mussed or dirty, and it seemed she'd not been disturbed at all. Never at any other point while I lived at this residence did so many moths enter the house at one time.

I was sitting at my computer, sitting close to my window when out the window when all of a sudden I heard a huge black helicopter came towards our trailer. This has not been the first time that black helicopters of this type have come over and buzzed our trailer court! On more than one occasion, we have seen (3)back helicopters since June 13, 1999. My mom has also witnessed this event.

I know this not a ufo report but I wanted to send a report anyway in hopes of finding what it could mean. Thanks, ((deleted)) from Birmingham (09/10/99) The full description is as follows: . Black chopper (w/ 2 landing bars) Long tail Grey markings on both sides (2) occupants wearing what appeared to be military or government clothing (could not tell).

Craft circled (3) times before speeding off to the west coming from the south. The chopper had to have been traveling at least 30 miles an hour flying overhead. We live near alot of trees and woods.

The time approximately it took to circle was about (15) seconds at the most. They left, and about (2:20pm) they came back, this time they flew past our trailer and we grabbed our 35 millimeter camera and started to take a series of photos without them knowing and then they left. I didn't get to take any photos of it but I'll try next time!!! Mr.

I need to get in touch with you on another story I have concerning what my stepdad saw on the night of (July 3, 1999) He saw a ufo just coming home from getting dinner. He saw what looked like a huge ufo explode into strings of multi-colored lights ranging from white to red to blue and purple ect.

What I want to do is send you a map of the area in wich we live so that you will know where to pinpoint the locations of these events individually. I believe that the event of (July 3, 1999) and the black helicopters are are connected. Please, I wish to remain anonymous but I give you permission to tell Art about these events when you appear on his program next tuesday night.

Three bright green lights pointing towards the sky near Bell's Crossroads in Gaylesville, Alabama. I feel obligated to state that my two friends and I were under the influence of marijuana when the sighting occured. However, we were lucid enough that I would have felt comfortable going out into public without fear.

We were teenagers at the time (ages 19-20), and I am now a responsible adult (an Air Force veteran and a college graduate). With that being said, here's my account of what happened. The three of us (I am female, my two friends were male) were standing around in my friend's driveway talking while I was smoking a cigarette.

The area we lived in was VERY rural. I will refer the friend who lived on this property as W2 from this point forward. W2's home was on a dirt road that ran for approximately ten miles.

The road housed approximately twenty homes, most of the land was used for either corn farming or growing pine trees for a local paper mill. A river runs paralell to most of the road, the river lies approximately 1.5 miles north of W2's home which faced north.

While talking, I noticed three bright green beams of light that originated to the north, almost directly in front of us. I would estimate that their origin was somewhere between W2's house and the river that I discussed previously. If they were any further north, it couldn't have been by much.

Also, the area past the river is more populated (relatively speaking), and there is a mountain there. If the lights had originated in this area, they would have appeared more elevated than they did. I noticed the lights, and attempted to ignore them for fear that it was some sort of mild hallucination.

However, a few minutes passed and our conversation fell dead silent. It was at this point that W2 stopped and asked, "Okay, what the hell is that? Do ya'll see it?" At this point, myself and W3 responded that we did. Once we established that all three of us were seeing it, we discussed it for the rest of the duration we were outside (maybe three more minutes, we watched the lights for abotu ten minutes total).

The lights looked like the spotlights that are used at business openings, except there were three of them and they were very bright green. The middle light was pointing straight up, and the other two lights flanked the middle light at perfectly matching approximate 30 degree angles. The lights never moved.

We were spooked at this point, and went in the house. These lights could have been the powerful lights used by hunters, except I can not imagine one of those lights being that bright from such a distance. Also, these lights were green and at perfect angles to each other.

Using spotlights to hunt deer is illegal, and I can't imagine any hunter wanting to draw such attention to his illegal deer hunting. Please note that the date and time given is approximate. I know that it was in the late summer of 1999, and I know that it was after dark but before midnight when it happened (we didn't stay over at my friend's house past midnight).

My wife and I live just outside of Birmingham, AL. This Monday night (7/26/99) we both saw what looked like a ball of white light (pulsating light to dark) in the northern sky moving from East to West, probably about 1.5 miles distance from us at around 9:00PM.

The movement of the object excluded any sort of aircraft; it gyrated up and down as if it were bouncing, at a very great speed. The sighting probably lasted a total 5 seconds.

The object was seen over my house it was silverish gray and seem to just hover in place for 10 mins. I'm placing this report because it was the first ufo i have ever seen and it was quite interesting. I have not seen any more ufo's since but it was my first experience and it was "unbelievable".

Me and my mother and aunt were standing outside having a conversation. For some reason I looked up into the sky on our back porch. Looking up with the side of the gutters on our house as a frame in my vision, I saw a silver grayish round object suspended in the sky not moving at all.

I pointed it out to my mother and aunt they both said they had no idea what it was. Then i went in the house to get some binoculars. I came back out to the porch and when I looked up to where the the object was before but it had vanished.

I was mad. Because this was my first ufo and it didn't last very long. But i'll always remember.

object observed in rural setting; one very bright rounded light with sharp crisp rays (one observer did not see rays); through binnoculars red and green smaller lights observed-no rays; very slow moving; seemed to ascent & desend (oberved through trees so not positive)then disappeared (perhaps behind trees); seen a few minutes later(by 2 people only) from open field and described as not being visable at first then turning on like a dimmer switch; yellow ball moving fast across sky with no rays observed and no sound; then disappearing Object first seen by visitors leaving rural home after dinner. Property located in NW corner of Tuscaloosa County, AL. Direction of object would be to west of property.

As first observers turned notherly and drove .2 miles to a paved road they continued to see the object to the west. They returned to the home and object was observed by 4 adults for approximately 45 minutes before disappearing from view (perhaps behind trees & hills).

One observer called 911 to report and asked for telephone number to Columbus Air Force Base (Columbus, MS). I was given number to Command Post 601-((number deleted)) and I think the person I talked with was named Brady. He told me they were not and could not launch aircraft to check out situation because of holiday weekend and the fact they had no aircraft were presently flying.

He called me back with telephone number to the UFO Center (206-722-3000). I could not reach a person due to holiday but was given web site address. Therefore I am reporting it via that site on July 5, 1999.

2 White Cigar Shaped craft flew over Hwy 231 We observed around 11:30am, 2 white cigar shaped craft moving at a high rate of speed approx 10-15 feet over the pine trees moving across Highway 231 South of Montgomery from East to West. They were flying about 10 feet from each other and never changed position relative to each other. The craft appeared to be approx 25 feet in length with no wings, tail, windows or markings of any kind visable.

I looked in the sky and saw a flash, but I only saw a glance of it. It was dark. But it didn't go down like a meteor, it went up and disappeared.

My husband and I were outside the trailer. I was having my car towed. I was the only one to see it.

I tried to say to them "look " but before I could get it out of my mouth, it disappeared. It was a flash or streek through the ski. '' In Cullman, my sister, nephew, neice,a nd myself saw one too.

I see them all the time. You are the first people I have been able to really tell it to.

A oval shaped object that changed shapes and vanished in thin air. Approximately 10:23 on June 25, 1999, As I was driving around town late night I notice a big bright light in the sky, at first i took it to be an airplane but as I observed the object more, the object stood at a standstill and was not moving. The object was approximately 2 miles in the air.

As I turned the curb driving in my car, I said to myself that I would try to get a closer look at this object. When I got a closer look at the object. The object begin to transform colors, it went from a white ball into an oval shaped object which was red on the outside and orange in the middle.

The object then started to move, at first it begin to hoover, and then it raced off so fast that you could only catch it with the naked eye. The object then dissapeard into the sky. The object I know for sure was not an airpland or jet plane, because a jet or airplane could not hoover and one spot and take off so fast.

Large blue orb sighted Saragossa, AL Sky blue, perfectly round, silent orb only a few about 1000 ft over home. Looked as if a compass was used to cure the night sky and expose blue sky. Very smooth traveling much faster than any airplane, flying a straight line west to East.

Around midnight I heard this noise and I looked outside and there were like 5 or 6 blinking lights up in the sky.they were in a row and then some would dissapear and another would appear. And off to the side there were about 3 red lights.

I have no idea what it was. The lights seemed to be moving.the red ones were slower.

I tried to take a picture of it, it probably won't turn out though.but we got out the video recorder and recoreded some of it. Around midnight I heard this noise and I looked outside and there were like 5 or 6 blinking lights up in the sky.

I was coming home from a friend's house, then saw a triangle. I was coming home from a friend's house at about 11:40(this was when I was nearing my neighborhood) and noticed a low-flying helicopter coming from the south, and flying over my neighborhood. This helicopter had placed itself over some treetops near the intersection where I turn to get onto my block.

As I neared it, I noticed it seemed to not be a helicopter at all, as it had three lights equally spaced around a less brightly lit center with a small row of red lights flashing one after the other from outside to the inside of the bottom surface. As I turned to go to my house, it slid silently over my truck(which freaked me badly, because by this time the realization was just setting in that this was no helicopter). I nearly missed my turn into my driveway, had to reverse, to turn in (a three point turn gone horribly wrong), and as I got out and looked up, I found that it had vanished.
