Alabama UFO Sightings in 1997

black triangle noiseless and stationary, then high velocity movement, 200 ft away I was 15 years old at the time of this sighting. It was mid August and i was out of school. A friend that had stayed the night and I decided to sneak out of my home and walk to the area know as the "crossroads".

We were walking and smoking cigarettes and had wandered around that general area and decide to return home which was off of old Pascagoula road west of grand bay Wilmer road. The sky was bright that night although there were some clouds up high. I looked up and was startled to see a black triangle craft above us, about 200 feet high, hovering motionless and noiseless above.

It was about 60 feet across. There were no lights on this craft. I hit my friend in the shoulder and pointed up.

He looked immediately and had full view of the craft for about 4-5 seconds. It quickly and noiselessly accelerated from a full stop and was out of eyesight instantly. It scared me.

We ran to a neighboring home, owned by a local mechanic, and started frantically ! beating on the front door. He did not respond and after about 2 minutes I regained my composure and decided to leave. As we jogged away the gentleman came out of his home wearing a robe, brandishing a shotgun.

Large, circular craft encased in cluds and eventually "joined" with a smaller circle. Hovered for approx 1 hour near the Gulf Shore. Dissapated and disappeared quickly when 3 Air Force Jets flew the coastline.

Hurricane Danny appeared at the shore 4-5 days later.the only hurricane to landfall in 1997.

Triangular craft hovers over State Park pier There was a triangular shaped craft hovering noiselessly over the State Park Pier. I and a friend were sitting in the sand about 50 yards away from the pier. The craft was about the size of a small building; it had red, green, and white lights on the bottom and sides of the craft.

It hovered over the pier for about 15 seconds then suddenly it sped away to the West. The craft never made a noise, but it could move at very high speeds.

Summary : Two bright objects hovering one moment then taking off at high speeds, beyond aircraft speeds. These two objects seemed to stop and go, zipping around as if they were playing. Mothers Day weekend I visited my mother who lives in Alabama.

That Saturday evening I was going outside to see if there were any remains of the Halle Bopp comet.While star gazing, I saw two objects. They were round in shape and bright white with blue haze encircling them in color.

At first I only saw one, it was darting forward in an unimaginable rate of speed.After watching about 30 seconds the second object zoomed up behind the first and they were going the same speed for about 10 seconds. Then the second object stopped still, while the first jetted around at different angles in front and behind the second.

I then saw both objects start and stop several times. Then the first one stopped then went straight up in an instant. The second object then went forward until it disappeared.

Im not sure what these two objects were, but I do know that there are no aircraft or weather ballons that I know of that could have moved at those angles and speeds.I dont want to sound like a kook, but I am curious if anyone else had witnessed this event. Afterwards, I went in to tell my husband and mother what I had seen and they believed me, but were skeptic and offered several explainations that I found hard to believe.

new glass like craft seen I was working as an assistant manager of a dollar store in guntersville alabama as I was coming home from work one afternoon about 6pm I was gazing across a cow pasture to my left as I was stopped in traffic just outside of town when I noticed a distortion of the surrounding trees and such! a craft about the size of a small house was hovering about 25ft above the ground it looked a lot like the thing in the trees on the movie preditor as it was projecting what was behind the craft which made it look as though nothing was there there was no sound, and no thrusters or anything of that naturewas noted. I also saw no doors or openings and no beings. just the craft.

it started moving slowly across the field slightly left and away from me the cows continued grazing as nothing was there then it swiftly moved out and streight up at a tremendious amount of speed and was out of sight in a couple seconds it was a clear day and no buildings or anything could have generated the thing I saw I had been at work and had not taken any medicines of anykind and had not drink amy alcohol as far as I knew I was the only person who saw it I wrote it down when I got home and tried to report this to the army airforce and many others with out any one writing me back.these new craft are glass like and if you didn’t see the distortions you would not be able to see them ifter a lot of thought its my conclusion that this is more than likely why reports have been so low they have gotten smart and have new tecnology I later went to school and became an L.P.

N. and now I am disabled due to a bad back but this was a real craft and if you will look at the alien in the movie preditor you can get an idea about how the craft was doing i also saw no lights or landing gearthe craft was like a mirror.

Summary : Man walking dog sees tire-shaped object w/windows. No sound, no animal reaction. 1997 040X 1400 D Fairhope, AL, US FINAL REPORT The following was obtained by telephone interview with the witness on April 21, 1997.

The sighting took place on or about April 5, 1997 in Fairhope, Alabama (Baldwin County) at 2:00 pm (central time). The witness reported this sighting to the Fairhope Courier and to Clompton Jones of MUFON. The details reported to those sources varies from those reported to this writer.

This investigator cannot account for those variances. The witness stated he was walking his dog on the streets of Fairhope on a Saturday afternoon, although the witness, when pressed, could not remember the exact date. He believes April 5 to be the approximate date.

The witness reported the weather as "sunny and clear," with a breeze. The witness stated he was walking west toward Mobile Bay. As he was about to cross the street, the witness observed the object west of his position (in front of the witness), at an elevation of approximately 30 .

The object was reported to be "the length of the Fairhope pier" from the witness, and was drifting very slowly to the north. After viewing the object for 30 seconds to one minute, the object continued to move north and disappeared behind foliage. No sound was reported.

There was no reaction from his dog. The object was described as "generally tire-shaped," round, light greyish-beige in color, with a row of 8 to 10 square black windows with a blue frame around them. The apparent size of the object was reported to be the same as an object one inch long held at arm's length.

No other external details, appendages, etc. were reported. This case was initially investigated by Ross VonVolkenburg (MUFON).

Duncan Crow obtained a telephone interview with the witness and submitted this report.

Summary : CLOSE ENCOUNTER/CAUGHT ON VIDEO on march 29 1997 I lost over 3 hrs.while filming hale bop,(CAPTURED CRAFT,BEINGS ON VIDEO.)I THOUGHT I HAD BEEN GONE APPROX 30 MIN.

BUT VIDEO IS OVER 3 HRS. on the 29th.I went to a fcc tower approx.

amile or less from my home to video the hale bop comet,although I didnt see the comet I did see a brilliant light,it was square (IT LOOKED LIKE A GIANT DOOR!)Istarted getting very cold,I remember smelling ether,i filmed a few stars,went home!(or so I thought!)when i arrived home my wife asked me -did you see that thing that flew over the house? I replied that I didnt see anything! Then she asked what took so long? I replied I was only gone 30 or 45 minutes max. then she said -baby youve been gone almost 4 hrs.I thought she was upset about me not seeing this thing that had flown over our home! so I told her that I WAS SORRY!,went to bed ;the next morning Iwent outside and started filming over the tape,filming the squirrels,my wife came out and told me I REALLY WAS GONE ALMOST 4 HRS.

TOLD ME TO CHECK THAT TAPE! so we went in to look at the tape,she was right!I CAUGHT IT ON TAPE!THE TAPE BESIDES WHAT I FILMED OVER IS OVER 3 HRS.LONG!.

me and a coworker were outside. We say this large disk shaped craft. It hovered about 2 minutes.

lights were lighting up from outside to inside of the under part of the disk. It didnt make a sound. It wasnt there then it was.

It hovered for 2 minutes. Then it was gone. It scared us to death.

We went inside and told everyone. Then we called the police and reported it. Nothing happened.

No one believed us. The craft was bigger than the hospital i was working at. The people we told said it was a weather balloon.

Weather balloons dont look like that and aren't larger than a hospital. Ill never FORGET. But I cannot remember the exact date.

A fishing trip ends with a loud roar and a bright light waking me up in the night. I was taking my normal spring break fishing trip at our lake house south of Pell City, near the Coosa River. The best way to explain this is to explain the lay of the land a bit.

The property has a steep drive downward to the house. Being fairly remote in the woods, trees are everywhere and right against the driveway. We had wooden steps going up to the 'front door' of the house and the wooden porch continued and wound around to the actual front of the second floor of the house.

Above those steps on the top (Second) floor is the window of the room I was sleeping in. I woke up in the middle of the night just after midnight. Light was flooding the room.

There was a noise very loud. Is was a roaring near deafening roar like that of a jet engine. What in very unusual about this, is the lighting.

It seemed to come from everywhere. I never moved. I barely breathed.

I was simply struck with fear as if someone was searching for something or someone. At first, I thought it was a truck from the street, but that did not match up. If a car was on the drive way it would have to be a good ways behind the house to even attempt to angle the headlights into the window of my room which was parallel with the driveway.

There was another mystery, the noise. I remember thinking, maybe it's the police looking for someone. But that did not make sense either, because they would be using a helicopter over the forest.

What ever it was, was not making the normal whup-whup of a helicopter. This was a loud roar. Though I could not see it, I seriously felt as if it was below the tree line in order to highlight the window.

The trees were too high by the house for any helicopter to safely be right above with all the trees around it. It seemed to stay a long time, which ended up being around 10 minutes simply shining a very bright light on the whole house and through the window right above my head. This will sound very odd, but it seemed! as if the house was 'being scanned' though no effects or any other lighting was seen.

I remember being simply too scared to move, and too scared to breathe. I remember thinking thought, "There is no one here." I cannot say for sure, but it felt as if I was hearing other thoughts within my own.

I really expected to see something walk right down the hallway. Though I never heard walking on the porch, it was as if the idea was placed there like 'we should'. Though I never left the bed, I felt as if my perception was changing in some way.

It was very strange. It was as if this mystery craft was right next to the house hovering above the street and below the tree line. I distinctly remember thinking to myself, "If I don't breathe maybe they will go away.

" I was saying the Lord's Prayer, and other silent prayers, and trying so hard to not breathe. Here is the rub, that made me go, "What the?" The roar became even louder, and then the craft or whatever it was, was simply gone. It left almost instantaneously! .

The Doppler Effect was almost missing here, thought I heard it 'leave'. There was no hearing anything lift off. No tires crunching the gravel or concrete.

It went from being there, to simply not being there. I had the hardest time going back to bed that night afterwards. The next morning I checked the porch and the tree branches hanging over the driveway.

Everything seemed normal. What woke me up that night, I am still completely clueless. I never stayed up there alone to go fishing after that.
