My brother and i were going down a road with my mother driving the car, when we happened to slow down to go around a sharp curve. my brother and i both looked out our windows(i in the front seat and him in the back) and on the right above a cornfield was a stationary hovering object. at first i thought it was a searchlight because the rear of the object glowed with an internal light.

we soon realized that it was not a light when the object sped off at an uncanny accelleration pace that no known craft could produce,and flew above the cloud cover.the object was metallic with a blue/white glow at the end.it reappeared further down the road and crossed from right to left quickly and my mother and i saw it through the front windsheild.

Rectangular foot-ball field with dark red lights slowly moving high altitude evening sky. You might find this interesting. It may have been a hallucination.

This is more factual than a dream of aliens in the woods or the moon shining through the trees and waking up in the leaves. I believe this occurred when I was in Junior High. When I living in Simsbury, I was going to a family friends swim meet (I believe in New Britain or Bristol) maybe in October, we were driving and it was getting dark in the sky.

I should have been sitting next to a rear window because when I looked out the window I could see a rectangular sized football field sized ship in the sky moving very slowly yet probably really high in the sky. I remember it having very dark red lights or some sort of light source - I could view this clear enough within site. It appeared to be the bottom carrier of some sort of massive ship.

I thought I was imagining this. I checked with my friends family and they saw it too - we were all from the Simsbury area. I believe they might have been "playing-along" with my hallucination and or imagination because it may have sounded quiet crazy to them - a media culture crazed dream separate from reality that some how seems to have manifested itself in my own personal delusions.

These fantasies of my own may have jumped out from my mind into the social consciousness of the car ride for reasons probably best forgotten if it was indeed a dream that I would not accept as merely fancy and nothing more. The other passengers agreed that they had indeed seen it as well, though to this day I still believe they were simply playing along to not embarrass the situation. I still can see it in my mind till this day - slowly moving high up in the evening sky, practically dark except for this dark red glowing "mother-ship".

I only saw it for about 5 minutes I think until it was out of view. Maybe the invisibility shield which would make such a craft hard to see and or undetectable was being reset for mechanics or energy consumption. I never really thought anything more of it.

It was just too breathless to contemplate whatever it was. It felt like floating time. I don't even now if this could have been photographed.

These instances seem to happen at odd intervals on some sort of schedule. I remember we were travelling in a van. On the return trip after the swim meet it did not happen again.

((Dog's name deleted)),my Siberian Husky , and I were walking along Anchor Beach in woodmont Connecticut , enjoying the view of the oysterboat working off shore. I had my digital camera handy, so I took a couple of scenic pictures. When I downloaded these electronic images , I was surprised to fingd that we had company out on the beach.

I sitting in the sky above us and the oyster boat was a disk shaped object with what looked like a row of windows on it's underside. I saucer must have been using a cloaking device or something anfd my digital camera's image processing circuits must have been able to pick up the saucer's image. Bright, fast low flying object crossed field of view at close range during drive at night This occurred a few years back, I'm not sure of the date but 1997 is my best guess given teh circumstances. My sister and I were driving up a hill by a field with a line of tall trees on either side of the road in a very rural town. There are no street lights, so it gets very dark and clear.

Out of nowhere a bright yellow-white spherical object shot across our field of view, right in front of us, covering the arc of sky we could see between the trees flanking the road (about 20 degrees of sky) this occurred extremely fast (a few seconds at most) but long enough to tell that it was a discrete spherical glowing object traveling horizontally. It appeared similar in size to the moon, but a little brighter (not blinding). There was no trailing tail or "halo" around the object.

I've grown up in this town and seen plenty of fireball meteors (good viewing, no city lights) and this was nothing like them, I knew it the instant I saw it. Given its speed and size, I guess it was going several hundred miles per hour no more than a hundred feet over the trees. I was really impressed by how fast it moved.

that I especially remember. And thinking it simply couldn't be some very large, distant object.it would have to be moving insanely fast to have the same effect, then.

My sister both were shocked, and immediately agreed that we had no idea what could possibly look or behave like what we had just saw. I am a research scientist and have a background that includes astronomy and physics. My sister is a very bright, level headed student.

This event was completely outside her conceptual experience and I was just as shocked as she was. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate. The witness has a very strong academic background in an technical field.

We have invited him to try to establish the date more accurately, and to have the other witness submit a report. We believe we know the incident he alludes to, but we would like to have him reconstruct the date independently. However I did take a large number of undergraduate classes in astronomy and physics. As far as further information, I talked with my sister and she didn't have anything to add, and didn't want to submit a report. We're still not sure of the date.

I know that I was picking her up from a school dance, and that I was no longer in high school myself. That limits it to either 1997 or 1998. Plus it was not winter (or summer).

So it was probably fall or spring. I can tell you precisely where the event occurred, if that helps at all. It was traveling northwest, and the object crossed our path moving east/northeast.

I don't have a map handy, but the area we were at was dead in the center of woodstock, CT, right by the intersection of Joy Rd and Rte 169. hope this helps. ((END)).

I got out of bed at 4:00 am to use the bathroom.As i returned i looke out the window up at the stars.I noticed a star moving very slow,but it didnt seem as high as the others.

As it came closer i new it could not be a star.I watch it pass over my house,it had no sound to it,and the object was very brite.Then from under the craft there was a very brite flash ,now i could see inside the bottom of the craft .

The flash seemed to ignite the propulsion system .It looked like a round furnace . the collors were orange and yellow.

The craft then flew away at a incredible speed . it was gone in a instant.

Slow moving triangle shaped craft with big white lights and a red pulsating light in the center flew about 300 feet over my car. My girlfriend and I were driving back north to Canada on Interstate 91, at about 11:40 PM halfway between Hartford CT and Springfield MA when we observed a cluster of lights thiking it was a plane or helicopter due to the fact that Bradley Airport was 4 miles west of us but as it got closer the weird configuration of lights mind boggled us but it was heading westward and lost sight of it, then another one appeared on the east heading right toward us, as it got closer we knew this was no conventional craft, it slowly flew over our heads at about 300 feet soundless with 7 big white lights in a V formation (the lights did not light the ground) and 3 small flickering lights on the tip of the triangle which would be the front end and a small pulsating red light dead center of the craft, the craft itself was very dark (could not make out the actual body) it was also heading westward following the first. We stopped and watched it disappear in the horizon.

The question we have to ask our selves is what would we gain or loose if the government finally told the public about the now famous Roswell crash, the alien abductions and the ongoing ufo activity. Logically speaking, if this craft would be government made, wouldn't it be most top secret (area 51), and if it was, what was it doing flying between large cities, woudn't these test be dangerous for the general public, if they were safe wouldn't we profit from it by improving today's latest planes and if they were from another country, wouldn't the army have intercepted this illigal alien threatening our country. The most logical answer would be that somekind of being is flying far more technologically advanced craft of anything we have on earth.

Obviously we can't catch one or catch up to it, they abduct people and we haven't the slight idea how to stop them, if they crash, we steal their technology. Isn't that evolution for which humans thrives? I think we are ready to know the truth, the real truth!!.

Summary : Two men in 20's, witness a beam of greenish light on merritt parkway. maybe metor, very fast and split in two right over us. We are two men in late 20's business perfessionals.

Looked like maybe a metor. very fast and very bright! a greenish look. we were in car travelling about 55 mph.

it stood out, and split apart and continued across the horizon. hard to say the height of it. but it was close enough to notice the light instantly.

it was pretty large. again it had a neonish green appearence!.

A downing of a UFO? I was out taking pictures of the Hale-bopp comet in the evening around 8pm when the comet was in the 2 o clock position in the sky [1997]. I was parked at the runways half way point in the dirt parking area at our local airport in Meriden Conn. {Wallingford-Meriden Airport} because it is away from the city lights.

At the time I had won a camera {Cannon Sure Shot WP-1 35mm using 400 film} in some contest and I was still learning to use the different settings when something caught my eye around the full moon. A object shaped like a large round glowing ball about 1/4 size of the moon and looked like it was just above and to the left of the moon and I saw a jet [ looked military] at the lower left side of the moon heading towards the object. I took 4 pictures at different settings so I would have at least one good picture of what I was seeing.

By taking pictures on the different settings of the camera it shows the action with some detail on a couple of frames. The sky was partly cloudy but it was clear towards the comet and 90degrees to the right the moon was in the clear also. The 1st picture is of the jet heading towards the object coming up from the left lower side of the moon and the object is at the upper left center of the moon.

Like if the jet was scouting the object. The 2nd picture is of the jet coming around in a turn gaining on the object without any movement from the object. The 3rd picture is of the jet level with the moon on the left side and looking like he was setting up a shot while closing in on the object and the object starting to go to the right just above the moon as to get away from the plane.

And the last picture was taken just after the jet fired something at the object and was starting it's turn into a dive and the object was by then in a ball of flames breaking into 2 parts on the lower right side of the picture far below the moon and almost out of frame on the right side. One large part and a smaller piece all in a ball of flames, You can tell by the pictures that the plane is a jet plane and the object is some type of U! FO. I could not tell what it was, but it was not anything I have ever seen before.

{Army Veteran 1979 - 85} I did not see were the UFO went to nor the jet. A car had past me at that time with the bright lights on. I still have the camera that I took the pictures with, and the negitives.

No mention of this event was reported in the local papers or TV news stations. Since then I have been checking the UFO sites for anyone who had seen this event to try to comfirm what I saw. But nothing so far.

Slow moving, quiet very large triangular shaped craft just above the tree line. Just over the tree line a very large, yet very quiet (faint sound) triangular shaped object with red and green lights passed overhead. I was leaving the Burning Tree Country Club.

To this day, I can't believe what I saw. I felt like I could throw a rock up and hit it. My girlfriend at the time saw it too.

No idea what it could possibly be. I really believe it was not from this world.

The caller went outside to walk his dog and look at the comet. He looked to the east, and he noticed movement in the night sky. Upon looking closely at the object, he noticed that it was 7-9 lights (est.

), oriented in a "boomerang" shape. The lights were orange in color, and they were very faint, fainter than typical stars, for example. The object moved very fast from the eastern sky to the northwest sky, traversing approximately 120-130 degrees (est.

) of arc in approximately 5 seconds. No sound was apparent. The caller does not have internet access.

SUMMARY: Flat, round object heading rapidly SE horizontally. I was on my way home from work on roads I've travelled at this time of day for the past 35 years. Suddenly this object appeared coming from behind me above tree level heading in a SE direction relatively horizontal.

It was very clear and bright (a whitish sort of metallic light). There was no haze or bluriness at all. The object was circular with very clear edges.

It appeared to have either a raised middle section or a lighted area around the center. It was travelling at tremendous speed and was out of sight in just a couple of seconds. At first I thought it was a reflection but there are no street lights in the area and it was going too fast.

It definitely was not an airplane nor a shooting star. It was too sharp and clear for a shooting star and too round for an airplane. Besides, it was going too fast for a plane, even a jet.

I have worked at the University of Connecticut since 1961 and have never seen anything like this on any of the roads I travel to get to and from wor!k which is 28 miles from home. I have seen another strange sighting at home in Moosup, CT 06354. I was outside one night with my dog.

While she was doing her business, I was looking at the stars. Suddenly a light appeared just like a light bulb had been turned on and darted across the sky. It was quite a while ago, maybe a couple of years, so I don't remember exactly which way it was going after it "lit up.

" I think it went from NW to SE at a rapid rate and was out of sight in just a few seconds, probably five or six.
