A very large circular objects about the size of two football fields stood above the ground for about an hour it was glowing green and just hung in the air it looks so close it looked so incredibly large. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD)).

I threw rocks at a UFO for about a half an hour What accrued happened in Danbury Connecticut on Newtown Rd. It was very dark area with only a couple of city light poles that were on. There were a couple of stores in that area but they were all closed.

There are a lot of hills in this area so it further darkens the area. I was about eighteen years old at the time. My friend and I were working at a Burger King until about 10 pm.

We went outside to wait for a ride and we were talking. We went across the street where there was a pay phone that I was going to use to call to see where our ride was and I noticed that where we just walked from was a seeming to be round object just hovering in the air about 30 feet not very high no real noise except for humming. I felt and heard a humming just like an electrical sub station, there’s ones in every town.

I felt my hairs standing up. The object was about the size of the Burger King, just a little wider. There were about eight, two foot wide bulbs around the round object.

My friend and I walked under it at an angle and tried to make out the shape with the stars since it was the only light above, there was no moon and the stars were almost not visible. We first thought it was a hot air balloon with lights on the bottom but with the little stars that were out, we couldn’t see how high it exactly was, but we knew it wasn’t high like a balloon. I need to say this, over the years I’ve read a lot about of what other people have written about what they saw, and what’s different about mine, is that I think my friend and I are the only dumb asses that threw rocks and tar from the road at it for about a good half an hour.

And we didn’t even hear the rocks fall back on the ground and we didn’t hear it hit the object. After about half an hour of throwing rocks at it we watched it slowly rise up then whoosh, it went up fast, in like a couple of seconds it shot up, we saw the lights get closer together, get smaller, and dim, in a matter of two to three seconds. My take on why it left so abruptly, is that I think they were going to abduct us until they found out they’d have serious problems with the two dumb asses that were throwing rocks at them.

Just kidding. One more thing, there is one more witness, this was a little strange, it was my ride which happened to be my mom. She didn’t see it there, but at her job which happens to be on the other side of the hill / small mountain, at the Davis and Geck parking lot.

We talked about it a few days after it happened, because we ended up walking home. She said she was afraid of it and went back inside to get someone to walk her back to he car. It happened at night, and that is all I know.

enormous silent craft My brother and I went to a lake for some night fishing. It was the period just before it gets dark and my brother said look at this! I looked up and saw what looked like normal spotlights, there were 5 in a horizontal line. I thought nothing of it.

I went back to fishing. He said hey look at this thing! I looked again, and now the lights were changing form- they went from a line to a 7 shape, to an L shape then to a cross type shape. I then began to pay attention to this.

We couldnt see anything else at this point. The lights were above the treeline approx. 300 yards away.

It was a clear night, stars out, moon shining. All of a sudden, there was no sky above us. It was black.

We could both feel what we can only describe as the field that exists between opposing magnets. It was weird. The craft then turned and some sky became visible again and at that point we could see the shape of this thing.

It was like a 55 gallon drum that was cut lenghtwise and laid flat. This thing was huge. Like a city block huge.

It made no noise, and aside from the "spotlights" we saw initially, it had no lights. We were scared beyond words. This thing was directly above our heads for what seemed like forever.

It eventually just moved up and away at a very slow rate of speed and ascent. We left immediately after that, when we got home we told our family about it and called the Redding police to see if anyone else had seen or reported this. We declined to leave our names because we did not want to be associated with this in any way.

Take this for what its worth- both of us saw what we saw, and to this day, I cannot stop looking at the sky. I am compelled to looking upward all the time. That image will stay with me until I pass.

It was extremely frightening and definitely not of this world whatever it was.

Large triangular with lights in a "V" shape. The date above is not accurate. Back between may '88 & july '89, I saw a UFO in CT.

It was a LARGE triangular one with lights. Moved rather slowly, I'd say 40mph if that over Bridgeport CT. Fact is I was a cop at the time on duty.

Sitting on the booking entry roof making out my end of shift reports & killing 20 min as shift was ending when I spotted this large thing heading almost directly towards me. While looking at it & realizing it was nothing I ever saw before, I radio'd in my car number ID & said, "Any reports of a UFO coming in now"? Then the dispatchers mic keyed in & I can hear about a dozen call takers in the background, laughing, when the dispatcher says "Not until you"! I said, "well, I am looking directly at one now"! Again, the dispatcher keyed his mic & there was a bunch of background laughter "where is it?" I said "Im on the booking roof, get out of the basement (of City Hall where dispatch was) & lo! ok to your right, HURRY and you will see it!" So I walked down the ramp as my PD building hid city hall from my view & saw them all coming out to see. It had to be about 11:15 pm or 11:45pm, cant recall if I was on early or late shift.

By that, I mean so at any given time, there's at least half the cars patrolling, so one shift ends at 11:30, the next 2nd shift ends at 12:00am. So they all came out & were in awe at the size of it. I radio'd the dispatcher to ask to call the airport as that was about 3-5 miles away and it was heading in that direction & should have had that on radar although this was less than 1,000 feet off the ground.

I don't know what height they pick things up. Dispatcher said airport says cant see it, nothing on radar. Within 20 minutes, it was out of sight, but appeared to turn to head in another direction, as if an angle of a triangle, not a U-turn, back towards heading North(?) towards Massachusettes (55 miles away).

I later saw a friend & she too saw it above Stratford. Next day read in the paper that it was spotted up the Hudson river if I recall right. Later over the years watching UFO series documentarys, I believe I saw one that was in Europe that looked like what I saw.

This was huge, I'd say like a football field size at least, even at that height & distance away, less than a half a mile. It was a huge thing, about the size of a football field I'd say, with 6 or 8 lights in a "V" shape. There still may be people that work in the complaint bureau or can be easily located to verify this incident I witnessed even though 30 years ago.

With the internet now, it has piqued my interest especially having seen a show recently that showed what I saw. I'm only stating this now as over the years seeing the shows & documentarys, I believe I saw an episode where one was spotted if I recall right, in Europe like the one I saw, but think that was early 90's.

Large triangular craft aprox. 200-300 ft wide , hovering approximately 150 ft above ground, and making little or no sound On the way home a number of years ago myself and my best friend ((name deleted)) were heading home via route 140 east. As we passed a pond locally known as "Stinky Pond" due to stagnant water in mid-summer we pulled over ((deleted)) when one of us (I don't remember who) notiticed an enormous craft immediatly above us in the sky.

It was approximately 50 to 100 feet above the tree line and moving west at a very slow speed (2-3mph?). In any case, I stood outside of the care, and Adam was still in it behind the drivers wheel as the craft moved directly over us. The UFO was apprximately 200 to 300 feet across (absolutely enormous), and made virtualy no sound as it basically just sat above us (it was big enough that I could barely notice it moving when it was diriectly overhead).

As I remember, it had a number of white lights toward the out parimeter, and one or more colored lights (I was too in awe to remeber exact details but I think it was one redish light in the center). In either case I suddenly realized I was looking at something extrordinary, and had a definite feeling that whoever or whatever was above me was looking at me as I was looking at the ship (perhaps a conditioned feeling from various UFO stuff I had seen in the past). I had a definite impulse to get out of there.

((name deleted)) was of the same mind , and regretably we left as a result of some instinctual fear. The rest of the way home we spoke little except to try to figure out whether what we just saw was a bonified UFO or possible a high level military project with technology way-way beyond anything we previously would have considered possible. We both agreed the white lights gave it a man made quality, but then we also agreed that regardless of how advanced something may be, if there was a need or desire to put any kind of lighting on a craft then why not white.

The bottom line is that me and my friend witnessed a craft approximatelly 200 to 300 feet wide from node to node (I can't give a more accurate estimate as it just completely engulfed ! the sky above me), and the thing was moving at a barely perceptable speed, and made little or no sound. I say little or no sound because I kind of remeber a really low hum like that of an air conditioner, but it's been so long that I can't be sure. In any case, I personally would not be sharing this (as I do not care whether it was military or extraterestial as I believe the first is probably far more advanced than I would imagine, and the second is a given when considering the likelihood), but I am sharing as I plan on being hyptnotized so as I can remember it better as time has made the memory less clear, and it was just absolutely too cool to let the details become blurred.

In addition, I also want to get hyptnotized so that I can compare my description under hypnosis to those of a recent show I saw on the Discovery Channel which descibed a very similiar craft. Before I get hyptnotized I am willing to take a lie detector test and recount the sighting in as much detail as I can remember for those who feel that it is important to prove to the world what most of us just know makes sense anyhow.
