Massive circular object hovering in the night sky, year 1985. Witnesses: Male 18 years old Female 14 years old I was sitting on a window bench seat with my back to the window and felt a strange sensation like a light was shining in on me. I turned around and witnessed the UFO the person I was speaking to saw my face and new something was strange.

I said look out side what is that she was in shock also. We both became pretty excited. We just could not explain the object.

We both got up and ran down the stairs and opened the front doors and out into the yard. That’s when it became kind of scary.this thing didn’t go away and it was really there.

It was massive hovering about 100 to 200 feet above our front yard. It was a circular object on its side just sitting in the sky there was a pulsating glow around the edge of the object I don’t know if it was lights or just energy but it was amazing to me because for such a huge object there was almost no sound. The only sound was a humming pattern but not anything I have heard before like it was in your body.

The time becomes hard to explain when your adrenalin kicks in but when we both looked at each other and new it wasn’t going away we yelled for our family to come and witness it also. When the family got to the front door. This massive object created a cloud and slowly rolled behind it.

Never to be seen again.

Was in back yard of a house in the neighborhood playing. My friends saw it first. I saw it and lost time.

Ended up in a different locat It was the same day we got Hurricaine Gloria. I was playing at a friend's house down the street from 5 Mark Dr. No sound.

The triangle in the sky had 3 very bright lights on it. The craft may been black in color, but the lights were very bright and that's really what I remember most. The craft actually morphed mid air.

It went from being 1 craft with 3 bright lights (yellow, white), and it split into 3 individual crafts with 1 light each. I was paralyzed. I "woke up" several hours later back home.

It was pitch as black out when I came to. The sun was almost down at the time of the sighting. It was reported to the local news station bc I saw that several others had reported seeing a craft.

I was not the only one. They (local news channel in Norwalk) did reports about it the same night and interviewed several others in the neighborhood. I was only 6 years old at the time this occurred.

lights moving very slow with no noise approx. 300 yards away While traveling south on Rt.8 I noticed lights off to my right that seemed to be going in the opposite direction,which I thought was a plane only I was traveling at about 60mph and a plane would have to have been going 120mph the opposite way.

We should have passed each other pretty quickly only it seemed not to be moving.I pulled over,got out and watched the "lights" (in no perticular shape)travel north towards Hunter Mountain traveling very slow without any noise whatsoever that I could here.I was thinking "Hang Glider" but it was dark outside and it didn't have any form of headlights and the mountain was in the way.

Now when I say mountain I mean it would take only about 5 minutes to drive from bottom to top.Then it just sort of faded behind the trees no noise no crash!It wasn't to long after that that there were sightings in New York State.The news program had people saying hang gliders.

The sightings in new york as I remember wern't far from Connecticut but I can't remember exactly where.Somebody in new york had a video of a UFO which was shown on the news and that looked exactly like the one I had seen meaning the "lights".I just got my computer and found this site otherwise I would have reported this long ago.

If I had to guess on how far away the object was I would have to guess 300 to 400 yards away in relation to the way it dissapeared into the trees. ((NUFORC Note: Source of report indicates that date of the event is approximate. PD)).

Waterbury, CT 1985. Large UFO Hovers over Holy Land off RT 84 and downtown area for minutes Seen by many. UFO hovers over downtown Waterbury, CT in approx.

late summer of 1985. Seen from the Holy Land site off of RT. 84 for approx.

5 minutes by many people who have pulled off the highway to gaze at this object. Object was large, 300-400 ft in elliptical distance. Well lit with colored lights at the underside of vehicle.

Silent, hovering, with no noise at all, right above the city's business district. It was near dusk with a clear sky. Reported on the news the next day as a group of low-flying gliders from a small airport in NY State.

CT State police also viewed object and reported it to their barracks. After Object hovered for a few minutes it literally shot off towards RT 8 South quickly with no acceleration noise at all. people on RT 8 reported seeing the vehicle move quickly following the Naugatuck River as it winds south thru a very hilly valley.

Large, slow moving.low, dull humming noise as it went overhead. Lights grouped in three's - red/wht/red Back in high school I got a phone call from a neighborhood friend and he said that his brother while coming home from work and driving down Main St.

getting ready to turn on our street saw something in the sky and to get outside and check it out. I went outside and started to look up the street to where my friend lived to see if he was outside and saw him then I saw the craft one block over to the north coming from the West and could'nt bellieve it. It was moving very slowly.

As we were watching it I ran to my neighbors house to tell them to come outside and check this out and they witnessed it also. As we were all watching it it began to move sideways while still moving forward; like a crab moves.The lights did not move sideways then straighten back out; everything stayed pointed forward.

Then it basically stopped moving sideways once it was over our street and continued moving straight forward. As it approached us it made no noise whats so ever. The configuration of the lights on the bottom of the craft were in the pattern of a parallelogram but not sure of the shape of the craft because it was dark against the dark night sky.

The lights were arranged in a straight line, front to back, in groups of three. One samll white light, one larger red light, and one more white light. Then back and off to the side was another grouping and this repeated staggering left to right to the end of the craft.

As the craft passed over head you could hear a low, dull humming noise but no sign of an exhuast area you might asscociate with with aircraft we know of. It was very low and by the shape of the lights it was quite large. Exact size is hard to say but guess-timating I'd say it was the lenght of one and a half to two yards(house lots in my neighborhood- approx.

75 to 100' long) It flew in a straight line from that point until it disappeared from sight out toward Long Island Sound to the East. One thing I remember was the neighbors house I went to, his father was was visiting and he worked for Chrysler Corp. and he said that he never heard a 'engine' like that before in his life.

My father is a single engine aircraft pilot and use to buzz the house from time to time and the lights on his plane were much, much smaller than the lights on this thing. One news report going around was that it was pilots flying ultralights trying to fool people but that was in the Puoghkeepsie, NY area and if you've ever heard ultralights engines you'd know these were'nt ultralights(even if somehow muffled). Another thing was that this craft moved as a single entity, not multiple craft trying to be one.

Well, that's it. This is the first time telling this story in a forum like this and it has stayed vividly with me since it happened. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date of incident is approximate.

the object huverd about 900 ft. no noise thousands of lites took off out of site in secounds no noise my friends stopped over unexpectedly frantic come outside there is a ufo directly across the street from my house hovering above the field was an huge object i describe as 1000 rows of lights across five hundred rows vertical the lights were many colors the object made no sound as i was just about to get a telescope the object moved to the east a few hundred ft. then faster then i ever saw anything move speed off to the s.

east with no sound and out of site in less then three seconds the news reported it was a flying club of planes flying in circles ,inposible.

Triangular lint formation over Bethel Ct I was walking at night and saw a set of bright lights arranged in a triangle/ boomerang formation in the sky towards Danbury. It hovered for ten minutes then slowly disappeared.

Dome shaped object in Weston, CT. Spring 1985 We first saw it as we crested a hill. At first, it appeared to be bright lights from a distant house.

As we approached the area by car, it seemed to shift from one side of the sky to the other. The area where we saw it is very thick forest that opens to a large resevoir with a dam. As we crested the hill to the dam, it was hovering over the dam.

The water was high, but not moved by the UFO. It was very large, shaped sort of like a cowboy hat with a very narrow brim, with a large yellowish ball protruding from the bottom. The top was encircled by rotating red and blue lights.

It stayed there for as long as we did. My mom only drove away as I started to get out the car to get a closer look. I was 14 at the time.

It followed us as she very quickly drove along the resevoir. When it began to follow us it seemed to lean onto its side and appeared more cigar like. Sikorsky Airforce Base reported numerous calls the next day.
