Christmas Eve lights over Greenwich, CT From bedroom window, I observed a strange object moving too fast to be a jet or plane at such a high altitute en route to Westchester County Airport (HPN) or La Guardia (LGA). The object, exhibiting a few different bright colors, seemed to stop, hover, then move up and down before disappearing completely. The unacceptable movements of the craft are what keep me so skeptical.

A westchester county newspaper the following business day reported that a stealth bomber was on routine post 9/11 patrol lit up for Christmas. I, however, cannot believe this report as again, the craft was moving in such ways that cannot be explained by our modern day aircraft. I can accept that perhaps it was a harrier jet, but I do not know which alitute hovering limitations the jet has.

Three white ovals were seen floating in sky over cul-de-sac. My friend and I were passing a football on a cul-de-sac at the end of my street,when a comercial airliner flew by low. We continued to pass the football after the plane had left.

A few minutes later, we saw 3 small white ovals floating around in the sky where the plane had flown earlier. The first oval flew slowly towards the sun in the west and the 2nd soon followed. The third started to follow,then changed direction and went the opposite way.

It turned slightly and I saw a metalic flash. After about 15 seconds the ovals were gone. We ran back to my house and got binoculars and a camera.

We returned and watched for the ovals again. Two small private planes flew by low but they didn't look like the things we saw, plus the third oval had changed direction and planes can't do that. The sky was also clear and sunny.

I DREW A PICTURE OF WHAT I SAW. I RENT A TWO STORY HOUSE (BOTH FLOOR) I WENT DOWN STAIRS WITH MY FRIEND WHO IS DEAF AND WE WENT IN THE HOUSE AND WHEN WENT OUT I WAS STANDING ON MY PORCH AND ILOOKED UP AND SEEN A SCAUCER WITH A CIRCLE CONNECTED TO THE TOP OF IT IT DAD BLUE AND RED FLASHING LIGHTS.I LOOKED AT IT FOR A ABOUT A MINUTE OR A LITTLE LONGER AND MY FRIEND WAS WAITING FOR ME ON THE SECOND FLOOR STAIRS I RAN AND GRAABED HER ARM I TOLD HER TO COME SEE SOMETHING AND WHEN SHE LOOKED IT WAS GONE .

IT DISAPPERED IN A MATTER OF 5 SECONDS.

Observed venus size and color (white) object through binoculars moving slowly accross the sky during day of about 3 minute duration. I was out walking in the country using a strong pair of binoculars and I was observing a helicopter flying about 2,000 ft when I noticed something behind the helicopter but I believe much higher. It was a clear and crisp day and at first I thought it might be venus because it was a very small and bright white round object and not moving, I thought.

I have observed venus on other bright clear days in the distant past. But as I was watching this object which I had centered in the binocular lense, which I thought might be venus I saw a branch slowly come into view in the binocular lense. It came into view much faster than any earth rotation would have on a planet.

So it was not venus as I first thought. It was not any type of aircraft known to me. Possibly it could have been one of many earth satellites.

But are satellites observable in broad daylight moving so slowly? An email responce to my question would be appreciated.

Working at sikorky airport in stratford. mid overcast evening w/ rain about 5500 foot ceiling. Facing South/Southwest about 5 miles away a light sat in the sky for roughly 40 minutes.

Light appeared to be something like from an aircraft in fog, could see it pointing in 1 direction. Problem being, light did not move for 40 minutes as said earlier. I called family members who went to the beach to see in another city, they saw the light as well.

I also talked to 1 airline pilot who also reported seeing the light all the way up from NYC. Called radar tower and said no known aircraft were on radar nor in area. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

I was taking a picture of the sky to use for my desktop. When I downloaded the image I noticed a small black dot on the upper left corner of my screen. I zoomed in and that's when I noticed a black/triangle shape aircraft heading east.

Missile-shaped object flies over Nuclear Facility in Waterford CT. ((NUFORC Note: We suspect the witnesses observed the object that was reported by the U. S.

Space Command, Peterson AFB, Colorado Springs, CO, as a re-entering Soviet rocket shell. Our gratitude to this witness for having taking the time and trouble to contact us, and to provide such a thorough report. PD)) On 09/06/2001, at 0550 hours (EDST) myself and several witnesses viewed a "missile-shaped" object just south of Waterford, CT over Long Island Sound.

I am the Armed Response Force Team Leader at Millstone Nuclear in Waterford, CT and several of the witnesses are Armed Response Force Members and/or Licensed Nuclear Reactor Operators. From a distance of approximately one half mile, we witnessed what, at first, appeared to be a rapidly approaching plane heading toward our facility from the direction of Orient Point Long Island, NY. This appeared as a very bright light approximately 300-400 feet above sea level, moving toward us at a high rate of speed.

The object was flying parallel to the ground at this height until it reached a distance approximately 1/4 mile from our shorline. It then began a trajectory at approximately 60-70%, still headed in a North-Easterly direction (toward Providence, RI). At this point, we were able to discern the outline of the object.

It was approximately 35-40' in length and shaped very much like a rocket or missile. It had a four-fin tail end and swept back wings near the front end. The wings extended back and outward from the body, but we could not discern the distance they extended outward.

As the object began to gain altitude, there were red sparks and bluish/white smoke erupting from the rear. Although the flight path maintained a North-East bearing, it was evident that the object was not flying in a straight-line manner once it began its' ascent. The flight path became somewhat erratic as the object continued to gain altitude and proceded northward.

Because of the amount of contrail (which remained visible in the sky for nearly an hour) and the amount of flame being emitted, many of us were convinced the object was going to crash. Many of the witnesses are former Naval Nuclear personnel and most thought the object was a "Polaris-type" missile or some other type of nautically-luanched device. The weather conditions at the time of this incident were clear, mild, and very little wind, The air temperature was approximately 60 degrees Farenheit.

There were no other objects visible in the sky and the sun was just rising above the horizon to our East. we were able to view the object for approximately ane and one-half minutes prior to it becoming indistinct. Because we are a Federally Regulated Nuclear Facility, I made immediate notification to the FAA.

The FAA made inquiries to all the airports on the North East Corridor and none reported any planes down or in trouble at the time of the sighting, however, the FAA had recieved several other phone calls conerning this incident. The FAA called me back about an hour later and suggested I file this report.

fire enter atmosphere ,everybody saw. it was about 2weeks before the sep 11 we were fishing at stamford cove island park some time after 5:30 all fishermans(10)saw from east to north a big display of fire enter the atmosphere everybody stop fishing,it was to big to miss it yet the news report a russian satelite enter atmosphere atter 4 years orbit,extrenge not much of a news enywere no videos . Sighting over Southern Newtown, CT At 2320 on 9/5 I heard something in the house which caused me to investigate. After searching and on my way to bed, I looked out my front door window which looks down the street. I immediately noticed an exceptionally bright light 2000-3000 feet high and approximately 5 miles away.

I thought this was an aircraft, which have holding patterns over this part of Connecticut. I continued looking because the light was so bright I wondered what type of aircraft it could be. The light was at least 20 times brighter than an aircraft's landing light.

The object then starting moving up and down, mimicing an oscilliscope wave. My binoculars were 10 feet away and I ran to get them. Upon returning to the window and before I could get the binoculars out of the case the object moved straight up (maybe 5 degrees off of vertical) at a speed that was so incredibly fast I knew it was no aircraft.

It also left, only for a few milliseconds, a white phosphorous trail that had to be at least 10,000 feet long. It then disappeared into the CLEAR night.

Numerous objects were seen in the sky- red and blue lights were emitted from these objects. There were two lights- one red,the other blue-it appeared as if a smaller yellow light fell from between these two lights. We observed the objects with binocoluars, and the vessel moved in a strange pattern, emitting a light that appeared to spin.

At one point, we observed as many as 8 objects- they appeared to be clustering around one particularly bright star in the sky. We also noticed that airplanes appeared to be following these unique vessels in the sky. There was definitely an unusual amount of motion as well as aircraft in the sky.

Object with 4 light beams and high pitch grinding sound in the Connecticut/Massachusets border line on 9/3/2001, 5:16 am. The flying object was observed at 5:16 am on September 3, 2001. The direction of the flight was from West to East directions in the Connecticut/Massachusets state border.

The object had distinctively observable 4 ligth beams (similar to high beams in the cars) alligned in rectangular format and a flashing white ligth in the center. But, it could be in a diamond format from my point of view. The sound of the craft was very unusual for a plane or a helicopter.

It almost sound it like a metal to metal rubbing with a very high pitch grinding/roaring sound. The time I observed was at 5:16 am with a clear night view in the background. The 4 beams on the corners and the center flashing light were pointing downwards, making the area below the craft relatively brite.

The speed of the craft was steady, with a speed comparable to a slow flying helicopter. The altidude of the craft may have been in the range of approx. 1/2 km to 1 km.

The whole observation may have been in 5 to 10 seconds time frame while, the object was still visible through my window. I am wondering if anyone else has reported anything similar in this time period.

Streaming lights moving above trees. I was walking up to the pay phone and I looked out into the sky like looking at the stars and I noticed a row of lights that were streaming back and forth which changed from red, white and blue. It was hovering above the trees moving slowly east towards Rhode Island.

I saw other airplanes in the sky and this looked or moved nothing like them. Then eventually it disappeared. The entire event lasted about 5 minutes.

Multiple flashing white lights. While watching the Monday night football game on 08/27/01 at 20:30:00 I witnessed one flashing white light out my bedroom window at 280°. I live in an area where privet airplane traffic fly right over the house in route to or taking off from the Danbury airport.

I watched kind of surprised, it was foggy; nevertheless you could see the bright white flashing light fine, I thought it was an airplane. This went on for about eight to ten seconds. Shortly thereafter the sky lit up there were flashing white lights all over the place sporadically and extremely fast then at one point throughout what was happening they were sequential and lighting up all together diagonally.

I called my wife upstairs she witnessed the spectacle for about ten seconds. Then like nothing happened they were gone. I don't know, I know I'm not crazy I've never seen anything like this in my life.

I took a ride in my car to see if others witnessed what I had, there were plenty of people out however all were just going about their business. My wife calleed the Danbury Airport She actually talked with someone in the control tower, she was told there were no aircraft in that location at that time. There was one aircraft in the sky located at 180°.

A mysterious craft was seen hovering above yard. Expirienced "missing time" following the incident. Around the night of August 23, 2001, I was walking my dog with my grandfather in the back yard of my grandparents house.

At approximately 9:03 PM the dog sat down and began barking quite loudly at something behind us. We turned to see a bright light coming up from behind the house. It was flying just high enough that it didn’t touch the top of the old oak tree in the yard.

Soon the object was directly above us and I had a very clear view of the craft. It was almost shaped like the spade suit in a deck of cards. The craft was massive and had to be at least forty feet, perhaps fifty feet, wide and perhaps fifteen feet high.

On the belly of it were several different colored lights. On the exact center of the craft was a mysterious dome shaped light, it glowed a color that seemed eerily familiar, and yet like nothing I had ever seen before. Also, it seemed as though the light were some form of cross between a solid and a liquid, as if it could hold its shape without need for containment but still allow objects to pass through it.

From this light an arm, with a long needle and a wire coiled around it attached to it, was expelled from the craft. It was from the tip of this needle that a focused beam of light shot down from the craft. The light hit the ground still concentrated, then seemed to explode in a flash.

Then the arm was pulled back into the light. The craft then started to move forward slowly, and, being a fascinated child, I foolishly pursued it, however it sped up and blasted away. Rather confused by what we just saw, my grandfather and I re-entered the house after what we believed to be only five or ten minutes.

My grandmother, however, claimed that we had been outside for nearly a half hour and the clock in the house agreed, while my grandfather’s wrist watch told us that only a few minutes had passed. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date of incident is approximate. PD)).

Three bright blinking white lights were seen flying in formation, circling near the horizon. Three circular super-bright white lights were seen in a triangular formation flying low along the horizon. Despite their low altitude, no sound was heard.

They were also moving very fast. They circled the area before disappearing behind trees. Their white lights were blinking, each with its own frequency that differed slightly from the other two.

When compared to a plane, these three white lights were reported as being much much brighter and moving much faster. They were also following a path that was not similar to the usual flight pattern of airplanes in the area. The observer is usually a UFO skeptic who would rather not dwell on the subject, but he was slightly riled up and excited by this sighting.

He repeatedly made the comment that "that definitely was not an airplane" and also said, "I know that was not a weather balloon." It was clear from that reference that he was rethinking his thoughts on UFO's and aliens. He also said that he had felt like he was being drawn outside to look for the lights after he lost sight of them.

Having known the observer for many years, I was surprised by his level of intrigue and fascination. I would say that he might now be a believer, even though he has always been one of the more skeptical people I know. The observer and I went out the next night at the same time and in the same location, a rural neighborhood, to watch for any strange lights, but none were seen.

Cone shaped objects with lighted tails observed in northeast My sighitng was on a clear July nite. I was driving notrh(really slightly north-east) on Interstate 95, at exit 57 for Guilford, CT. I happened to look up as the approach to the exit was an upgrade, and I noticed activity in the sky.

several fast moving,cone-shaped objects sped in a northerly direction. These cone-shaped objects had a tail which was lighted.I can't recall a color, but it was a lighted trail.

I also noticed in the same short period of time, after the 4 to 6 cones passed toward the north,I then saw 2 to 3 speeding in the southerly direction. The northely and southerly movement was separate. not at the same time, first to the north, then to the south.

I did pull over to the roadside to have a better look, but unfortunately there was no more activity. I drove to my exit, # 58,and stopped at the ramp end and again looked skyward only to observe no further activity. As I drove home I tried to continue looking skyward while watching traffic.

Nothing! When I reached home,I ran to the back yard to get a better view however, sadly,I saw nothing else. I did observe the Hale-Bop(sp?) Comet a few years ago and would say these objects looked similar, but smaller and mover much faster through the sky. This activity all happened within 2-3 minutes.

from 9:58 to 10:00PM. It was especially exciting as the sky was so incredibly clear. This is my first sighting of any unusual activity since the HB Comet.

I am not an astromomer, but merely a constant observer who is fascinated with beautiful skys. Two whitish blue teardrop shapes came off the edge of the sky, stopped and took off in the opposite direction leaving a streak behind. Two teardrod like shapes came out of the edge of the sky, they where like slow moving stars or comets or something, whitish blue. The lights in my house began to dim in and out for a short time then they both stopped dead, stood for a second,emitting a small glow, and took off in a hard angle in the opposite direction, faster than i could see leaving a streak of light blue light.

Strange teardrop shapped object appeared in the sky above us! Years ago, around July 20, 2001 I stepped outside, along with a family member, at about 22:00 to let our dog go to the bathroom. It was not long before we heard a humming sound in the distance. My family member and I simply ignored it and continued to wait for the dog to go to the bathroom.

Mysteriously, the dog began to bark at something behind us. The two of us turned to see the most unbelievable thing we ever set eyes upon coming towards us, over the tree tops. It was a black, teardrop, shaped craft, about the size of house.

After a few moments the craft, still humming, was hovering above our heads. To our shock, it froze there and then lowered until it was only about twenty feet above our heads! It was then that we were able to see it quit clearly. We observed several lights on the belly of the craft, one of them glowing mysteriously in the center.

To our surprise, from this strange glowing light, a long, pointed needle, with a wire wrapping around it and meeting at the point, ejected. This needle then sent down a focused beam of light, which suddenly expanded, then the light was gone and the needle was drawn back up into the light. The teardrop shaped craft slowly began to move forward again.

I, being curious, chased it, not wanting to allow it to escape. The faster I ran, the faster it moved. Suddenly, it sped forward in the direction the trees.

I thought for sure it would crash into them, but the moment that impact would have occurred, there was a dazzling flash of light and the craft vanished altogether, leaving behind only one trace: a patch of dead grass where the original beam of light had projected. Unsure off what had just happened we rushed back into the house, where another family member had watched the craft appear behind us from the window. We assumed that this whole event had taken about two or three minutes, five at the most to occur, however she, and the clocks in the house, told another story: that we had been out for about a half-hour! She also said that the television signal was lost during this event.

Saw large tear drop like craft hovering after 2 min vanished. I saw a strange low flying tear drop shaped craft. It hovered silently above the yard.

Underneath craft was a long spiral like needle with shot small beams of light. Craft was black with 5 lights. After aprox.
