Large slow V shaped object making no noise flew overhead in Boxford, Mass I am a 36 year old police officer and I was heading home from a night class. As I got off Rt 95 at Rt 97 in Boxford, I noticed a very bright orangish colored light ahead of me to the west and at a distance of a couple miles. It appeared large and very bright.

As I drove towards it, it was also moving towards me. After driving approximately 3 mins I noticed other lights and thought maybe it was an airplane afterall. As we continued to draw closer, it became evident it was too large to be a plane.

I then noticed a shape through the trees and it was V shaped with lights down both sides. I pulled over with another vehicle and got out as it passed over the road. It made no sound and was proceeding slowly and took approximately 6 or 7 seconds to pass directly over us.

I would say it was approximately 350 feet long. It continued south past us and towards the Boston area. I have never seen anything like it before and wasn't going to say anything until I saw a special earlier tonight and was shocked because on tv they showed a depiction exactly of what I had seen.

I saw a cigar shaped UFO ovre a cranberry bog. I was on my way to my grandparents house and something caught my eye, way of in the distance just above a cranberry bog. I turned my head around and then looked back and it had disipeared within 3 seconds.

North scituate, halloween, 3 friends saw flying saucer, it was gone in seconds. This night was halloween the times above are pretty acurate. What happened was me and 2 other friends were waiting to scare trick or treaters at my house, but at the time above, 1 of my friends saw it, said to me and my other friend "Look at that", so we looked it was like this saucer like shape with every color in the world blinking and flashing, this happened quite far off but we could see.

Next it Zig Zagged and was gone in seconds with some sort of a trail of smoke are dust or something, but this was no hoax or anything it was real, i found it entertaing, it proved there is life out there. ((NUFORC Note: We will request independent reports from the two other witnesses. PD)).

Flashing light object jets straight into air and continues climb. The other witness and I were outside and we observed a flashing,bright object, emitting a trail(very large) circular in shape going straight up. It looked like a stream of light in a way with a continued climb.

Shooting star stops moving. This is not the first sighting I've seen in a month's time, but I saw it with my wife standing next to me, and it was the most interesting. We are located north of Boston, MA and have a balcony facing east.

We were looking out at the unusually uncluttered sky due to the lack of planes. there were a few, which I'll refer to later. My wife had never seen a shooting star, and I always keep a look-out for one, so she can witness it, and I thought I finally did! But I was wrong.

I quickly turned her attention to a rapidly descending white object apparently coming down out of the sky. Since falling stars tend to disappear rapidly, I was very surprised that as the object fell, it did not disappear. In fact, it slowed down! then appeared to stall, not moving at all.

I could not tell you how large it was, or how close it was, but I DID think it was a shooting star (at first), if that gives you some idea of apparent size and brightness. While the object appeared to not move, i referenced other planes' movements to compare. Well, there was no similarity.

And it made no sound. So, now this was strange, but here is another strange phenomenon. One moment, it appeared to be in front of us, glowing bright white, and within a couple of seconds, it WAS ON THE HORIZON, now red in color.

This movement was like something out of MC Escher, where perception changes in an instant. We just agreed we saw a UFO and left it as that!.

I was out on my lawn viewing the near full moon.I bright object caught my eye, it had a bluish hue. I thought it was a firework and expected to see little pieces break off, and it would disappear.

I believe the planet Mars is in the northern sky, and has been recently.(if not, there is a very reddish star there that crosses the sky). This object was about 4 times the size of it.

Maybe a 4th- 5th the size of tonights moon. Anyhow, the object faded away quickly, travelling northwestward. It appeared to be very high in the sky when I lost sight of it.

It seemed, maybe within 10000 feet when I first saw it. The object made no noise. I am a veteran skywatcher and I have seen satellites travel through the night sky, reflecting the sun.

They usually, I believe, have a yellowish hue, and are never close to being this vivid. It did travel in a straight line away from me as a satellite would.( I'm not sure about the distance 10000', it's a guess, I live on approach to Logan Airport.

enormous rectangular extremely low-flying silent craft with visible panels moving at est. 30mph I am a 33-year-old recent graduate of the UNC-CH School of Journalism and Mass Communication. For three consecutive years, in the late 1990s/early 2000s, I worked the fall cranberry harvest at the Oceanspray fruit-receiving plant in Middleboro, MA, in the Cape Cod region.

The plant is in a remote area amongst historic cranberry bogs. In late September of 2001, I was working through a second shift break on the outside of the large facility. I never talked about this with anyone at the plant, but it is likely that I was the only person working outside at that time.

I looked up to see a craft passing over the factory. Briefly, I thought it might be a stealth airplane or some military craft related to 9/11. However, there were details of my sighting that make the craft I witnessed irreconcilable with known crafts of human origin.

It was so low and large that it filled the sky to all horizons/tree lines(the factory was surrounded by pine forest). It was completel! y silent, and this was disorienting. It kept going and going and going.

The bottom of the craft did look like something humans could make. There were panels, and it bore a slight resemblance to the bottom of the millennium falcon/starship enterprise. The colors were dark like a stealth bomber and it had the same smooth flat texture.

I saw one red light on the end of a stem-like apparatus descending from the craft. It took about 60 seconds from the time I became aware of the object passing overhead to when it disappeared behind the tree line north of the plant. Generally, I would say that its shape was rectangular.

More specifically, I would describe its shape as two large rectangular shapes joined in the middle but slightly offset, each the size of an extra-large football stadium. However, the size is difficult to estimate because it was a disorienting experience, but I would guess that it was 400 yards long and 300 yards wide. I couldn't determine any depth or height.

That! is not to say that it was flat, but its width and length were! of a much larger scale then its height. I estimate that its speed was 30mph. When it happened, I said to myself that I was going to keep this to myself and that it was my special weird moment.

I don't know why I had this psychological reaction. It was somewhat traumatic, and the memory came back to me a time after the event. I can't explain this, but I did feel that the craft was affecting my brain/thought process in some way that encouraged my disbelief.

Was the craft silent or is there a superior technology that can make crafts inaudible to our brains etc.? I didn't tell this story to anyone until this thanksgiving and I am going to try and track down people from my shift at the plant at that time. Subjective speculations I have now about what it might have been are: secret human technology cargo ship, alien ship, alien slave ship.

Bright white light zig-zags and dissapears Me and some friends were taking a buddies jeep four wheeling in a field the day after a rainstorm.My friend got his jeep stuck in the mud so we had nowhere to go but to try to get it out and we were there for a long time.It was a very large open area.

As it was getting dark we all saw this bright white light on the horizon,it was slowly moving towards us then it stopped in mid air,did a zig-zag and dissapeared into the night sky.Idont think a plane,jet,helicopter,or any of the modernday vehicles can manuvere like that and to this day we all have never forgot what we saw that night. Circular ball of fire racing across the sky on the day america was attacked. A couple of friends and I were looking to the skys for any air traffic since there was only military traffic alowed. We saw two Air Force Jets in single file heading toward Otis Air Force Base in Cape Cod.

They were fairly close together and in quite a hurry. Approxamatly one minute after these jets flew out of sight, my friend pointed out a circular object orange in color moving at an enormous rate of speed across the open sky. It seemed to zigzag and dance across the sky as if it was intelligent, and then disapeared behind some trees.

Ive never seen anything as fast as this in mid air. About ten min past and we kept looking in amazment for anything else when the same object came across the sky again from the east to south west with the same speed and spiratic movement, and again disapeared behind some trees. This is what we seen and Im sticking to it.

2 unidentified objects over Arlington, Ma skies for over 2 hours with military observation. My daughter was looking through the binoculars into the sky and called me in to look. I went out to the front porch and there was an object stationary- was hard to make out the exact shape but looked circular with green edges, white in middle with pulsating yellowish-orange lights in middle.

It remained stationary for over 2 hours. I looked around and saw a smaller one under it of greenish color. It could have been farther away.

I called the police dept. and they told me people had been calling it in. I told him I saw 2 jets fly above and beneath it.

He said they were X-16's out of a nearby military base. They also sent out several small planes to investigate it. At 12:30 am the sirens went off in Arlington Center 3 times.

Around 1:00 am I noticed there were no more colors coming off of them, then they were gone. I heard the planes a few times while I lay in bed trying to sleep. Ufos over Beachmont.Eve of Trade center Attack Logan had been shut due to trade center attack.We had witnessed fighter jets all day.

I live in a small neighborhood just outside logan .Noticed a star like object in eastern sky.ran home to get video camera and Father.

Upon return we were greated by 4 others who were also observing the sky over short beach,Upon zooming in with my Sony Digital 8 handy cam.I noticed an object the appeared to be still in the sky,but by binocular it seemed to dance all around There were blu and red lights that were moving all around the craft.We then witnessed what appeared to be somthing which looked like Mitosis,splitting of a vessle into to parts.

one objects lights began to move rapidly in a different pattern as if to be communicating with the other ship. one looked as if it was a fire work ,and then quickly dissappeared ,and reappeared to the left at a45 degree angle.We then witnessed a triangle type formation with yet another craft.

I have all sorts of footage ,althogh crafts appeared to disappear and reappear frequntly.crafts were also rapidly moving west to east.Very intense.

Then we also witnessed 3 fighter jets flying to and above these objects.Video footage played at slow motion shows intricate light pattern on one ship,also looks to have a very bright lights in the center and almost force field like arcs moving from the center to the outer edges of object.many people stopped vehicles to get out and see it .

Not any clouds in the sky.What are these ships,has anyone else seen them.

White,horizontal,flat disks with blue,green,red spheres racing around it. Nightly these course with the stars. Eastern Sky White,horizontal,flat disks with blue,green,red spheres racing around it.

Nightly in the east appear bright stars that course accross the sky with the other stars. They rise over the horizon just like the stars around them. They are BRIGHT.

Viewed through binoculars. The disk changes it's attitude and turns upside down. They move slightly up and down and wobble from side to side as if they are trying to maintain their position in the sky with the stars.

Two other wittnesses confirmed the sightings with me. At first I thought the first one that I saw was one of the planets until I saw it move and change it's attitude. And then I thought it still might be the planet Venus until I saw five others like it course the sky behind the last one.

I heard an airplane and while looking for it, a small round silvery white object came into view I live in a condo near route 113. Our front door faces southeast, and there's a roof overhanging the front steps. My wife and I had just gotten back from shopping and brought the groceries in.

I had heard the droaning of an airplane engine and went back out on the front steps to see if parachutists might be jumping, which is a common occurance on Sundays at a small airstrip located about a mile northwest of our condo just off route 111. I put my head out from under the overhang to look for the plane, and pulled back quickly as the bright sun was right overhead. Just then, from above the overhang came a small round silvery object.

My first thought was that it was a white bird, but quickly discounted that as the object moved straight and steady towards the east southeast at a pretty good clip. I watched it for three seconds and it disappeared. I don't believe it was reflecting the sun as the sun was almost straight above it.

It was round, possibly shaped like a ball or a disk, silvery white in color, and about the size of a round 1/8" grape seed held between the tips of the first finger and the thumb at arms length, and it covered the distance of a 12 inch ruler held at arms length in three seconds. About two seconds later the airplane came into view moving in an east northeasterly direction. In comparison, the airplane was the size of a grape held at arms length and it moved the distance of the 12 inch ruler in about seven seconds.

I've seen high flying jets from the same location in the past, but there's always a lot of noise involved, usually following the jet at a distance. There was no noise from the silvery object. I don't know whether the object was small and close or large and very high in the sky, but it's possible someone on the airplane spotted it as it passed in front of them.

I hope someone got a better look at it than I did and reports it. I have a background in logistics and inventory control, and currently deal in used and rare books.

i saw a silvery colored object in the sky. ok , my friend and i were at memorial field in natick throwing the football around at night around 10:00, and when we were done we started walking home towards natick high school. all of a sudden out of the corner of his eye my friend said he saw some kind of weird thing in the sky, so i told him he was probly high.

and he was too. so i looked for myself just to prove him wrong, and swear to god i actually saw it myself too! the sky was fairly dark there were some lights around the area on the ground but i got a pretty clear view of things. It lasted for about 2 minutes or so and what i saw was an elliptical or oval shaped object stationary and then it would dart around very fast and without any patterns.

it had purple lights on it and they were flashing on and off. i couldnt believe what i was seeing, but i saw this silvery colored object and im not mistaken in my views. I am a person of integrity and would not make this up im sure you guys get stupid people sending you made up stuff all the time, but this is real adn the reason i waited till now to say something is because i just found this website so thank you for providing an outlet for my thoughts and i hope this is valuable to you - dan ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

An extremely bright light that appeared to be a star but when viewed through binoculars, three distinct lights banded together. : I awoke at approximately 3:40 AM to use the bathroom. Our bed is right in front of two windows which are diagonal to Main Street and more specifically a Church with a tall white steeple.

I have been an avid star gazer since I was a teen and am familiar with the constellations, north sky circle, and appearance of planets with in the zodiac band. Being fully awake, I lay looking out the window and noticed a REALLY bright star in the sky to the left of the church steeple. I then realized this was too far north to be a planet.

I waited awhile thinking it could be a plane but after 5 minutes it hadn't move. I then woke up my husband and we got out our Canon Binoculars and what we saw gave us both wicked goosebumps! The easiest way to describe it is that it looked like a wedding ring - there was one bright white light in the middle with dimmer lights on each side. There was a definite distinctive dark band separating the lights.

IT NEVER moved for the 25 minutes we watched it - we don't know how long it was there before 3:40 AM. During this time the light intensity varied. At 4:07 AM - it just got dimmer and dimmer and "went Out" - still having never moved in relation to the steeple.

The weather was clear - other stars were visible. The sky was still dark - dawn had not set in at all. I am a high school English Teacher and my husband is in the printing business but also an avid aviation buff.

Of the two, he would be the skeptic and even he was blown away by what we saw. ((NUFORC Note: We would like to know the direction the witnesses were looking. The object might have been Venus in the eastern sky.

Observed 40 -50 lights flying across the sky in Cape Cod on Friday Night 8/10/01 I saw at first what I thought was a shooting star except that it was going a bit slower than usual and had no tail trailing behind it. I then saw another very small bright light amongst the stars and it moved across the sky in an arc, not a straight line. That was followed by another, then another almost as if they were chasing each other.

The next few that I observed zig zagged across the sky changing speed and direction. Then I observed a formation of four to five, lined up across from one another with one slightly ahead as if it was the leader. These lights are all very small, bright and appeared and dissappeared very quickly.

The formation appeared, flew in an arc-shaped pattern then vanished. This is when I became very concerned as I knew the possibility that what I saw was natural was about zero now. I made my girlfriend come outside, after a minute she poointed up and said "is that one?" I looked up and a light was very quickly moving across the sky in a very tight arc shape.

She became frightened and went inside. I stayed and saw more of these lights. The last one I observed before it clouded up was travelling toward me (due west) then suddenly sped off in the opposite direction, very quickly.

This whole event freaked me out, I know what planes, satellites, meteors, etc. look like, I have seen allof these, but these objects flew very fast, looked as if they were skimming off of the Earth's atmosphere, coming from every direction, I saw 40-50 of them within 1 hour and fifteen minutes time. There was no sound as whatever it was was very high up, maybe in space.

If anyone else saw these Please post it, I need to know others saw what I saw. ((NUFORC Note: We do not know what the witnesses observed, but satellites do not course to the west. If, in fact, the one object the witness cites above was traveling to the west, it was not any kind of man-made orbiting device.

Bobbing and hovering lights in pairs (one bigger than the other) This is no joke.I had seen this exact thing but even more closely about 8 years ago.I was with my girlfriend at the time and she saw the exact same thing I did.

Since we both so baffled by it neither of us really mentioned it because we were(somehow)the only ones to see it and didn't want to deal with an uphill battle of convincing people.Plus there was no actual incident,just a sighting(but it was extremely up close and very scary for both of us).OK, so I will never forget that one but I just tried to put it out of my mind.

However last night I couldn't sleep so I went out for a walk in the middle of the night.My friend is into astronomy and told me about where Mars is visible all summer here and I look up at it from time to time since its so easy to find.So I'm walking along thinking about things and I looked up at a huge star and thought "oh, there's Mars" and kept walking.

Then I thought,"wait a second,thats not where I'm used to seeing it". Then I looked back and the huge star had moved way over to the right,and that's when I stopped and said "oh shit! Not again".It was the exact same thing my girlfriend and I saw 8 years earlier.

It was a big blob of light hovering and bobbing a bit above the horizon line with another smaller "wingman" looking light lower and to the left of it.They were both moving around a little in strange bobbing motions.Sometimes they would appear to get to get bigger and then shrink back.

I watched for about a half hour before noticing 2 more in the same formation in another area and not so obvious to the eye.Then I started trying to search the entire sky.They appear to be yellowish and sometimes blueish in color and unlike the actual stars around them.

Alltogether I counted 10 of them (all in pairs).8 years ago we saw one pair of these bobbing lights but that time they came right up instantly and we got a full on close up look at the craft and we were absolutely terrified.We thought we were going to be abducted for sure.

It came right at us.It had to have seen us atop a dune next ! to the w ater.It turned a bit though and went over the water in front of us then cicled in toward the houses and floated completely silently at practically rooftop level over the town area then reappeared down the beach where it came from originally(it was cicling the area).

So then it came back for another run staight at us again.We were back to clutching each going,"Omigod, this is it!".This time it took a left and floated out over the water and into the darkness.

There was no more yellowish light in the distance after that.It was over.I'll never forget that.

Definately the most bizarre thing I've ever seen.The actual craft looked like this:Basically a giant tic-tac,metallic in color with three "windows",two small ones on the ends and one big one in the middle.They had etremely bright light coming out of them.

It made absolutely no sound whatsoever.On the front pointing down was like a headlight(oddly enough)and when it was flying low over the water the reflection from the light on the water showed that it was only about 100 ft. up(at the most).

I thought for sure I'd be reading about in the local paper.Surely someone else was going to see it.It flew RIGHT OVER town at like rootop level at 10 o'clock at night.

But nobody saw except us.Oh well.Last night when I saw the same far away lights I've decided to try and tell my story to whoever will listen.

strange light above canton ma.would stay totally still then move allover real fast no noises at all. it was around 1am i just happened to look out my basement bathroom window .

and there was a bright light over my neibors house. well it looked like it was over the house. it was not a star because it was not high enough and it moved in strang ways .

most of the time it did not move but every know and then it would move back and forth real fast .after around 20mins i woke up my girlfreind and i had her look at it . she thought i was wacked but she looked at it and she also saw it move around .

she told me to set up my telescope that she got me for my b-day back in june . well i started to set it up but it was a pain in the ((I.e.

"difficult")) to set up .i only used it one other time and she had set it up .so i tried to use the lenses of the telescope but i couldn't see anything .

so i got my new camcorder out and went upstairs to my rear porch and started filming the srange light. but i couldn't see the light in the view finder it's one of the sony camcorders where you point the lense and just hold the camra still.well i didn't think i got anything but when i watched the tape you could see the light moving a round.

so i went back out and took some more pictures but it was harder to see it was a little higher and my neibors tree was kind of in the way .but i still was able to get some more pictures.i showed my girlfreind and she could also see it .

on part of the tape there was a real bright light but that was the street light in front of my neibors house.but if you saw the tape you can see the light just above the tree line moving all over .also when i first saw it in the sky a small plane flew right under it .

when i first saw the plane going towards the light it looked like they would collied.but when it did fly near it.it whent right under it no problem .

but they looked to be mybe a couple hundred feet away from each other.the plane must have seen it .norwood airport is the next town over they also must have seen something.

well anyway all to gether i saw this light for about 2hours .and later i woke up to go to the bathroo! m and i could not see it anymore .and i also looked the next two nights and nothing .

Random Moving Object It was about 11 o'clock as my friend and I lay in a field checking out the stars. We were looking for shooting stars when I thought I spotted one. It was the same size as the stars, except it was moving so I thought I had found one.

Then I was puzzled to find that it started to change its direction going left to right, then up and down, in a random movement. It would turn right on the button. Eventually we had to leave so we did not get to finish watching it.
