New Hampshire UFO Sightings in 2001

It looked like a flickring star but it had red,blue and at times green flickering lights with white strobe lights. It was night, the sky was filled with many stars. It looked like just another star in the sky,however; it was flickering in the far distance.

I took th birnoculars and looked through-they were not an expensive pair of birnculars but they were good enough to see that the object was flickerig in colors of red,blue an had evenat one point flickered and flashed in green color. There were sometimes strobe-like flashes of white lights. The object also seems like it is spinning.

It has moved very little since I seen it, but I have noticed that it will move to the left or right. It has been about 2 1/2 hours and the object is still in the sky. It is in the East in the sky.

A few scary sighting by two seperate groups of people at two different times. My husband and I went for a walk before dinner on a new development road next to our house. It was starting to get dark out.

We live in a very wooded area and it was snowing lightly. There was a light breeze. Then as we walked the clouds seemed to seperate and there was an almost scary silence.

You could see the stars! We continued walking and my husband stopped and said, "LOOK" I turned my head to see this terrifying large glowing white object hover above the trees making no noise at all. As a matter of fact We could hear nothing. It was gliding through the tree tops slowly.

I remember standing there and couldn't take my eyes off of it. I feel like we stood there for a half an hour or so. My husband said, "it felt like an instant".

When I had realized what we saw I wanted to run. "Run where" my husband said. We went home very startled, and I had called the police asking if anyone had reported anything unusual and had explained what we saw.

We went to our neighbors and asked if they had seen anything. I wasn't sure about UFO's until this. My four children have also seen something.

I find it very scary and my children to this day are still having nightmares and will not go outside alone. We don't so much is let out children watch wrestling. My husband and I did not tell our children about our encounter and what they say was very different.

They ran in the house one day crying and screaming saying," there was something in the sky changing shape and chasing them". I have four children that saw the same thing.

looked like cessna without any navigation lights except no shadow/blackness where body should have been. object that looked exactly like shape of cessna wing, glowing soft orange color. no shadow,blackening where body of a cessna would have been.

object traveling in northwest to southeast direction much faster than any airplane. no sound. quiet neighborhood so sound should have been heard had it been turbo-prop or jet propulsion.

The first experience was in the mid 1970s. It was late at night while we were on our way > to a gig, driving along the New York State thruway, near Herkimer, NY. I > was riding in the passenger seat and happened to look out across the > valley.

Bright light sundenly vanished when telescope is trained on it. I was out looking at the stars with my telescope. I noticed a bright yellow-orange object in the south east sky.

I was very bright, maybe a magnitude of-1 or-2. I thought it might be Jupiter or Saturn? It did not appear to be moving. By the time I turned my telescope in the area and tried to center it in my finder scope, it vanished.

It did not appear to look like landing lights from a plane either. The sky was totally clear at the time. Very unusual.

I have been an ametuer astronomer for many years.

UFO AT CANNON MOUNTAIN INT 93, N.H. OCT 13, 2001 5:30 PPM DRIVING IN PICK-UP TRUCK - AN 8 FOOT BLACK CIGAR SHAPED UFO PASSED OVER FRONT OF TRUCK HOOD FROM EAST TO WEST - WHILE DRIVING SOUTH ON INT 93 IN THE FRANCONIA NOTCH (WHITE MTS) AREA.

TWO WITNESSES - ESTIMATED 8' USING WIDTH OF HOOD FOR COMPARISON - ESTIMATED ABOUT 10 FOOT ABOVE GROUND - AND 10 FEET IN FRONT OF WITNESSES. VERY FAST FROM DRIVERS SIDE OVER FRONT OF HOOD. ONLY SEEN FROM SIDE - ESTIMATED TO BE A CIGAR SHAPE BUT COULD BE MORE DISC LIKE AS NOT SEEN FROM FRONT.

ALL BLACK METALLIC - AND HAD A "BAND" RUNNING ABOVE CENTER - BAND HAD SOME KIND OF INDENTATIONS (LIKE A ZIPPER, OR PERHAPS SMALL HOLES) THE WITNESSES WERE SCARED AND DID NOT STOP TO INVESTIGATE. view was that of a very long "cigar shape" - seemed to have a "split" front (fork) - witnesses agree that it could have been of a dif shape (like disc viewed from the side, slightly tilted) - it was of a very dull black.color. No sound, nor effect on trucks driving ability (wind, electronic interference, etc.

) was observed. In pickup truck there were two minors asleep in back of extended cab. I am reporting above on behalf of the two witnesses, who have been shaken up since the sighting, and they wish to remain annynomous.

RED,BLUE-GREEN AND YELLOW-WHITE LIGHTS SITTING STILL IN SKY. WE WERE CAMPING AT RUSSEL POND WHEN WE SAW SOME LIGHTS OVER THE NORTH-WEST SKY. WE THOUGHT IT WAS A PLANE AT FIRST BUT IT DIDN'T MOVE FOR A LONG TIME.

THE ONLY MOVEMENT WE SAW WAS UP AND DOWN A LITTLE. WE THE IT MUST BE A CHOPPER BUT COULDN'T HEAR IT BECAUSE A NEAR BY RACEWAY WAS MAKING TO MUCH NOISE. ABOUT 21:45 THE RACES ENDED AND WE STILL COULDN'T HEAR ANY SOUND FROM THE OBJECT.

AT THAT TIME THE MOVED VERY QUICKLY TO THE RIGHT AND BACK. THIS HAPPENED TWICE.WE LOOKED THOUGH BINOCULARS AT THE LIGHT AND SAW RED,BLUE-GREEN AND YELLOW-WHITE LIHGTS.

ABOUT 23:00 IT EITHER WENT DOWN OR FLEW AWAY FROM US AND DISAPEARED.

I went outside that evening with my video camera, because I had been seeing strange lights in the sky.AT 2300 hRS, I noticed a large sphere coming from the west to east at a slow rate of speed. After a couple of minutes, another object, this one was flashing, headed right into the large white sphere and disappeared into it.

Then a few seconds later, a small white object shot out of the large sphere at a ninety degree angle ascending into the sky, this object was the fastest thing that I have ever seen in my entire life. Incidentally, alot of commercial aircraft travel through this area, but none of the forementioned craft exibited any of the typical flight characteristics of these commercial aircraft. I have video of the whole event.

this exact object was seen in february of 2001 in aproximately same location at about 10 o clock high in star lit night, saw triangle shape object with a bright white light at each point. could'nt make out any actual outline of the object or judge it's distance or size. best guess would be football field size about a quarter to a half mile away.

at first it was stationary then started to move slowly down toward the tree line and disappeared. duration of movement 15 to 20 seconds. it made no sound.

Dimmer light rapidly triangles brighter one, (directly above me), joins brighter light, strobes, and streaks dimly out/away. I had just come home from work, went over to the window and looked up, as I might commonly do. I saw two stars slightly bright, close together.

One was brighter than the other. Just as I was thinking, "That must be the aligned planets the weather man mentioned the night before," the less bright light did a very rapid triangle around the brighter one, then seemed to join it, then it strobed, maybe 4-10 times the brightness and size and then a brief, dim shooting-star like streak almost straight out/up. The whole thing, from first noticing the two lights to nothing was maybe 3 seconds or less.

At first I thought it was two crafts, but then after some research, I figured it was just the lights on one triangular one, but who knows. I was sober, have perfect vision, acute mental capacity and grip on reality. I was a teacher, now a registered cardiac nurse.

I saw nothing in the paper, didn't bother reporting it until now, when I'm just getting around to reporting a similar incident back in May of this year, (2015) 5/21, or within a few days of that date.

Want to see a u.f.o? Move to New Hampshire! I am a bartender, (and a amateur ufoligist who has had at least 4-5 unexplainable sightings) and I was taking out the garbage from my shift on a patio bar for the night.

It was bike week at Laconia N.H, so, there were alot of people around. Usually the main bar is buisier, but we had a band out in the back of the restaraunt so there was not one soul on the front deck.

Anyways, while takeing the garbage out, I looked up in the sky, as I often do, and noticed a star that was unusually bright sitting next to venus, which sits in the same spot every night at that same time in the southern sky, or pretty close to it. The star seemed very bright and as I said to my self, "boy, that's a weird star?!?" the brightness came down to the normal stars surrounding it, ( which in New Hampshire in a dark part of town can be pretty spectacular for a boy growing up in the subburbs of chicago for most of his life!). At that moment the star, or what it at fist appeard to be, gradually sped strait up into the atmosphere.

In other words, It ascended rapidly, but not to fast, into the sky as if saying, " time to go!" This is the second sighting I have wittnesed in this area. The first being a blue star sitting amongst the rest, and the speeding up into the atmosphere at an unimaginable rate of speed. I am convinced that these craft I have seen are not of this earth and are being shown to me for a reason.

I hope this report helps to bring the realization that we are not alone in this universe to those who are blinded by the upbringing and political belives of society.

Moving Stars in Cetral New Hampshire Mountain Range While standing on my aunt's back porch which looks across to North Moat Mtn. (elev.3195 ft.

& part of the White Mountain National Forest), in North Conway, NH, I was gazing several miles out at the remainder of light from the dusk sky. At best guess, I'd say between 700-1000 feet above the highest peek and perfectly aligned with the horizon, one bright, star-like light/size appeared from no where. The first light split into a second identical light and quickly moved horizontaly southward leaving a very faint and momentary light stream behind it.

It moved about 300ft to the left of the still lit, first light and came to a complete and sudden stop. At this point, the second light did the exact same thing as the first (eg: same split, same size, same light trail, same distance, same sudden stop) leaving three identical lights above the mountain for about three seconds. Then, once in position the first light dissapeared (much like someone switching off a light), followed by the second, and then the third.

Since there was still enough dusk light in the sky, I scanned the sky for the silouet of a plane, a glider or anything that might have given off such a light.the sky was perfectly clear, with the exeption of a few faint stars just beginning to appear. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

Bright light moving silently. We were camped at the Passaconaway campground on Rte.112 aka The Kancamagus Highway.

I walked to the bank of the Swift river which runs beside the campground. I noticed a light moving across the horizon from east to west. The night was cloudy and the light was below the clouds moving in a straight line.

This was a solid bright white light traveling about the speed of a jet. I've seen jets before up in these mountains and they had blinking lights. Passaconaway is located in a mountain valley so the object could not have been more than mile from our location.

I yelled to my brother inlaw and he also observed it. We did not here any sound and I backed away from the river listening for any noise as the object went out of sight. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the event is approximate.

Blinding white light flooding inside duplex apartment from outside I was sleeping on my half brother's livingroom sofa. The next morning Bill and his gf Luba asked me about the bright light emanating from the livingroom. I did not know anything about it.

He said that he and his gf had been wakened by blinding light seeping in from around and under their bedroom door. He went out to investigate thinking that maybe their 2 young boys had gotten up and turned all the lights on. Bill was 40 and Luba 37 with boys 9 and 12.

Bill said when he opened the door that the lights were off but a blinding all consuming white light emanated out from the livingroom .filling the rest of the apartment with white light. He and Luba were frightened and closed their bedroom door hiding.

They eventually fell asleep and did not know when the light started or when it ended. He speculated that the light came from outside the livingroom window which was on the second story.

Large Orb,red&green lights surrounding, capable of breaking into 3 triangles, or smaller orbs. Sighted very bright clear ball, moon shaped, with red & green circles around it. Visable to the naked eye .

Picked up binoculars, through them the "orb", took on a horseshoe shape with beams of red lights shooting down. Shape appeared almost translucent, or 3-D. Watched with binoculars for about 5 minutes, shape would almost flatten out and change into squares, upon examining with a telescope, the shape was a large "orb" broke off into three triangles, all still within the orb.

Than formed the ball again, than broke off into 3 circles, began to move rapidly within the orb, with very bright red and green lights surrounding them, this continued for about 3-5 minutes, than merged again to the large orb. At times with the eye this appeared to be like a giant ferris wheel moving around with all the colors. This orb could change shapes, and appeared almost translucent, yet when I viewed through it, I saw bright glowing lights.

It moved out of view for a few seconds, and when it reappeared, it was not as bright, the light was clear, of halogen quality. after 30 minutes it finally went behind the hill. The sky was crystal clear, I began to see this at dusk, and continued until well after dark.

the sky above the orb was brightly lit, it is amazing it was not viewed by others.

While traveling to Newport from Claremont on Rt 103, we saw a circular bright object accelerating from a stand still to g-force speed. While traveling to Newport from Claremont on Rt 103, myself on the passenger side, noticed an odd illumination on the low drifting clouds over the Sugar River valley adjacent to the road. When we reached a clearing, we pulled over for a better inspection, and there was a circular bright object accelerating from a stand still to g-force speed with no sound, shot left to right repeatedly for minutes with no sign of slowing or stopping this activity.

After watching this in disbelief, we decided to try and get closer look for some type of identification or explanation. With backroads being what they are, it became impossible to gain a closer or better advantage point and with fuel running low, we gave up pursuit. A report with the same description was made a decade later on July 2021 and the similarities of the event are uncanny.

I'm reporting now because the event never left my memory.

4-5 silvery objects weaving in and around clouds. I was coming home heading east, coming from the nashua nh. area.

there was scattered clouds, dark in nature. looing up in they sky I noticed something glimmer, upon looking closer I noticed 4 or 5 little objects near the clouds. knowing a little about flying, I knew that they could not be too small.

They where darting around them. almost like they had been chasing each other. I seen them doing this for a while till I lost site of them almost hitting the car in front of me.

It took me quite by suprize, for one i've never seen anything like this, and it was right there in full day light.

Blinking colors There is what looks like a star sse from me in littleton, towards mount washington at 7pm. It seems though to be blinking and changing colors from white to green to red and back to white again. It also sems to be much closer than a star.

When I first saw it, I thought it was a search and rescue helicopter for mount washington, but it didn't move. It is in the same spot at the same time tonight. Is this a satellite I am seeing?
