Flying V shape over the water It was around my birthday me and my friend saw a flying V shape over the water about every 4 seconds the lights changed colors. There were 5 different aircrafts. They had no wings.

We saw it dissapear, a few minutes later we saw an aircraft go by in the same tracks. We never saw it again. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date is approximate.

Two firballs or meteors seen low in the sky southwest of Crown Point, IN There were 2 large firball like ufo's seen in the light of day. They were southwest in location and low in the horizon. They were very bright and left smokey dark black trails behind them.

They moved very slowly downward over a 20 minute time-period. We have no idea exactly what they were but they were very bright and so slow that we knew they were not planes so figure they must be meteors or fireballs. We were so excited and didn't know who to inform of these strange sightings.

Glad to have found this website! My husband and I are 40 years old and my daughter is 9 years old. We looked at the fireballs with binoculars.

White/red/blue light over Bloomington, IN between 11pm and 3am on November 11 and 13. At about eleven in the evening sometime in the second week of November, 2001, (I'm not entirely sure of the date, though I think it was the eleventh,) my roommate directed my attention out our dorm window to a strange light in the sky northwest of the IU Bloomington campus. It was admittedly rather hazy that night, though what kind of conventional aircraft appears as a bright light periodically highlighted by flashes of red and blue and stays in one place for exceptional periods of time? My roommate gathered three of his friends to watch the show; helicopters (we think, they didn't make any sound) had begun to show up at about ten past eleven and circle around the light.

Wanting to be a bit more indulged, I went down to the street (East 3rd) and ventured west to Jordan Avenue to have a closer look. I'd at first thought the light was much farther northwest, but apparently it was less than a mile from our dorm and thus slightly north of the campus, directly up Jordan Ave. As soon as I made the intersection and this observation, it arced up to the west very, very quickly from a dead stop.

I lost sight of it for the trees, so I kept going west along 3rd Street and made a stop on top of the Ballantine Hall parking garage. I looked around and didn't see anything, so I headed back. As I approached Jordan Ave.

heading east, I saw it again, motionless over a residential area to the southeast, seemingly about the same distance it was from me before. The helicopters were gone at this time. I didn't bother going after it; the cops were prone to patrol the area for party-goers at that time of night and it was late.

I thus sat out in front of my dorm and watched it do practically nothing for the next half-hour or so and went back up to my room, as there wasn't much left for intrigue. I did some work until about 3am and went out for a coffee, and was a little surprised to see that the object was still in the same place, still doing practically nothing. It was in the exact same place for the duration of the same time ! period t wo days later as well.

Craft searching a field I was out in the county, going to a spot my friends and I liked to part at. I was driving around the corner before Devil's Backbone, when I saw it. At first I thought it was an airplane, the airports only a few miles away, but something about it wasn't quite right.

I pulled off of the road at an observation spot for the backbone, which looks out over a valley. I could see the craft hovering down there, then it would fly up higher. I would estimate that it never got higher than a few thousand feet, as I could still make out individual lights.

It almost seemed to be flying a search pattern, it just went back and forth, high and then low. It seemed to be moving slowly, ground speed wise. I am pretty familiar with the area where it was, and I know about how much ground it covered.

It took about two minutes to make one pass over the valley, which is only about half a mile across or so. It flew by seven or eight times, then just took off like a rocket! It disappeared from my sight in about ten seconds, but there wasn't much noise, I don't know if what I heard was the wind or the craft. I do know that right before it left, I heard a train approaching the Tunnelton Tunnel, which is very near by.

I could hear the whistle, probably a mile or two from me.

Was on way home at approx. 9:45pm. Came to a "T" in the road by church/cemetery.

Thats when I looked up and noticed a triangular aircraft hovering at about as high as a telephone pole. There was a light at each corner. Not bright lights.

One was red, one was blue, one was yellow - the primary colors. The craft zigged and stopped at an awkward angle at a higher altitude. This happened one more time, then it just sorta faded away - disappeared.

It didnt shoot off, it faded like pulled a cloak over itself. I tried chasing it, but, it didnt work. I noticed some bright lights in the distance, East I believe.

I went to check them out and got as close as I could (in my car) and saw that they were six apache helicopters. I know they were apache helicopters because of my military training. The choppers wouldnt let me get close, they would veer away.

As I watched, they seemed to be searching the fields for something. Earlier that night I was in the country looking at the sky and noticed what looked like stars zigging and zagging about the sky. Definitely not any sort of commercial aircraft.

I have some friends who have also witnessed such a craft, but, had never told anyone until I told what happened to me. They too said it had first been noticed at the graveyard. Human or extraterrestrial I do not know.

What I do know is that this is real. The triangle, the apache's, the zig zagging stars - Oh and I almost forgot, my kick ass car stereo all of the sudden wouldnt pick up any stations, are all real. ((NUFORC Note: Source is anonymous.

Looking to the north. If facing east, about 11 o'clock. Flashing blue, red, green, white lights, flashing at in a juxtaposed method.

Still out there. Don't know if we have a satelite that reflects like this. Just wanted to report.

Don't have a telescope but looked through my binoculars. Not overly discernable. Hoping to have someone try to view it with a telescope.

Didn't want to call the Tel# because if it's nothing I'd be making a costly telephone call and feel rediculous. I'm self employed and my friend is in finance for a large company in northern Indiana.

Transparent dome with red light in middle, and flashing red lights underneath RIGHT next to the highway. Travling south bound on I65, heading back to school on my motorcycle I was scanning the sky to try and keep my mind off the cold trip that had lasted about an hour at this point. I was about ten miles out of Lafayette In.

traveling twords my exit. I noticed an object in the sky at this point to my left. The highway is very dark, it was nine at night, and there are NO street lights lining the road.

I first noticed the red "globe" of light in the middle of the object as I approached it. The object was floating VERY close to the road and quite low. It was on the other side, (North bound lanes) of traffic so I had to look across to see it.

At this point I am still approaching it and think it is a red light on a tower of somesort, then I start to become horizontally in line with it as I pass, I look ,and as soon as I saw the 5 or so red flashing lights on the bottom of the craft that were flashing on and off slowly I knew what I thought I was seeing. I had a very good view of the object At this point, and so did others in the northbound lanes because I remember every car that approached the scene started braking. The object itself was about 2 to 3 hundred feet in the air and I just stared in awe.

What I saw was a craft that was very dome like in appearence, the thing that was most odd was how this dome that made up 80% of the object was transparant this is how I could see the red light that never flashed in the middle. The red lights around the bottom were the same size as the one in the middle, and they appered to be attached to the saucer bottom part of the craft that the dome sat on. These lights flashed in unison at intervals of about 2 seconds.

It was just like I saw on tv, it was like a movie was being played in front of me in the sky, I couldn't believe how fictonally sterotipical this UFO looked. I passed the object, kept staring and followed it until I was out of sight of it. I never saw the object zoom off, it really just hovered slightly as I was passing it anyway, no supersonic blastaways.

I rac! ed to ca tch up to my girlfreind who was in my truck who was about 1/2 a mile in front of me, all she had noticed was the people braking, not the object though. I am most curious to see if anyone else that night has seen this. SOMEONE had to have, it was right by the road, I mean right next to it over the bean field.

It was a very clear night I noticed the stars as I looked into the sky all the way home.

UFO on Hwy 52 My father and I were half way into Lafayette, after turning from Lincoln Lodge coming from Frankfort, on Hwy 52. We both noticed an object with three corner lights and a center light flying low in the sky to our right over a corn field. The corner lights were red and the center was white but we could not see a shape of the craft itself.

The outer lights were triangle in formation. Most people on the hwy were breaking as well to check them out. The craft was traveling very slowly and low to the ground.

It made no noise.

During Sept 11ths No Fly order, red ball is chased down by possible military aircraft & both vanish. a day or 2 after the sept 11, while the entire nation had a flight ban, i heard what sounded like a HUGE plane fly over town. i heard it approach our house and was able to still hear it after it passed town limits.

since i knew no planes were suppose to be in the air i went out my front door which faces the south. i noticed what looked like a fire ball floating in the air staying in one spot. i watched as the plane that flew overhead & quickly appeared to get within a very short distance of the ball, the ball seemed to arch east.

and then both the plane & ball disappeared. it has been many weeks, so i hope i havent forgotten any important details. ((NUFORC Note: Date may be approximate.

SEVEN CRAFTS FLASHING , IN ORION'S BELT CONSTALATION FORMATION!!!! Oval shaped discs, with flashing lights going around the outside. The crafts are shaped into the constallation of orion, but that doesn't come out til winter, so i know it couldn't be the stars. The crafts are all blinking with white, red and green lights going around.

three of the crafts are stacked in a row, one on top of each other, they are about a thumb apart from top to bottom. clear night on the Iu campus, on the outskirts of campus so not much light filtering through. VERY Strange, it looks like they are just staying in the same place.

What is best described as an elongated off-white irridescent oval object, appeared in the center of the clear sky, going silently to the west. I could make out an apparent dome-like structure on top before it went out of view about 5 seconds later. At arms length 2 inches across.

Moving from the NE, a faint lite green sphere having no sound changed direction towards the S, almost as if it noticed I was observing it. I say this for 2 reasons, as it shifted in a direction directly between the trees in front of me, about 60 feet away, and most importanly, in an instant stopped then accelerated 3 times, in about as many feet. As I sat up looking, either it moved faster than my eyes could track it, or it seemed to vibrate or shimmer losing it's round shape while in motion.

Afterwards resuming course to the SE. Even though it was very small for it's altitude. Using tangent at 65 degrees 50 feet away at ground level=107 feet high.

The size was a thumbsnail at arms length. humidity 90% 59 degrees f. However the upper air vapor in the upper stratosphere was quite dry.

Silver UFO seen up close on U.S. 37 My girl friend and I in the same exact area we seen the previous UFO on U.

S. 37. We observed another UFO in broad daylight and clear skys.

We were traveling up U.S. 37 towards Fort Wayne, Indiana.

We were just on the out-skirts of the city. When my girlfriend seen the object and directed my attention to it. The object was flying very low, about 30-35ft from the ground, following the Highway.

It was very shiney and metallic like chrome, very reflective. It was about 20ft long and about 15ft wide. It looked almost identical to the UFO shown in the Disney movie, "Flight of the Navigator" only it was smooth over the top and not humped.

It appeared to have no seems and had no identifing markings on the outside. It flew completely silent and did not interfere with my Camaro's operation. It was traveling about 50 MPH as I was able to keep up with it.

Their is a military depot close to that area.

At 1342, a low flying, very fast, black coffin shaped UFO flys directly over my head and behind a treeline. I was sitting on my back door step when I heard a whistle (like that of a hawk). I looked straight up, thinking to see a hawk when I saw a black, coffin shaped craft over head moving directly away from me, I heard the whistle 1 more time until it went behind a line of trees.

My impression was that this craft was low, 800-1500ft. and moving very fast (could have crossed the entire sky directly overhead in about 7 sec.).

It moved in a very straight line at a constant speed. It was sunny, clear, and about 75-80 degrees, with some high cumulus clouds. There seems to have been some heat distortion/haze at the rear of the craft.

The craft seemed to be about 30 ft. long or the length of a Cessna 172. I like to watch and identify (with my field guide and binoculars) the aircraft, both private and commercial that fly over my house.

I am very familiar with the types, their shapes, speeds, routes, and flight characteristics. This was no know aircraft, and other than the whistle, was silent.

Giant UFO seen up close I was picking up my girlfriend from Meijer off of U.S. 37, we were at the intersection of U.

S. 37 and the road to Meijer. It was really foggy and directly across from us was a light pole, that was in front of a very large clearing between two forests.

We were stopped waiting for the light to turn green for our turn to go. My girlfriend and I were in my 1981 RS Camaro. The light finally turned green and I began slowly turning left to go down U.

S. 37. About half-way through I noticed the fog behind the light pole beginning to seperate and the crest of the UFO appear.

I immidiately stopped and watched. Subsequently everyone else 4 other cars I noticed also stopped. The object emerged through the fog and the light of the light pole shined on it.

It was colored like coal, black but shiney. It had alot of contouring, similar to that of the UFOs in the movie Independance Day. At first the nose of it (assuming the nose) was pointing down and it looked like it was about to crash into the ground.

Maybe a few feet from the ground, it then began to slow down and pull up. Almost like a computer in slow-motion. After which, It just hung there and didn't move.

It was very very big, from what I could see sticking out of the fog, it had to be as wide as the clearing itself. At this time their is now a Super Wal-Mart in that very same clearing to give you an idea on its size. The object made no sound at all, except for the sound of the air rumbling around it.

And their were no lights of any kind that I could observe. It was probably 80-90 ft in front of us, about 20ft from the ground.

I have a REAL PICTURE of a UFO!!!!!! I was standing in front of my glass sliding door looking at the sunset when I saw a metallic oval object darting back and forth in the sky. I ran to my computer room and grabbed my digital camera in hope that I could catch it on film; so I could analize it later. I ran back into the kitchen and continued to look for the "oval object".

Beyond my belief, it was still there. I took a picture of it and that's when it dashed away. I didn't hear any sounds nor did I see any other objects.

Afterward, I went to my computer and downloaded the photograph that I had just taken. There it was, plain as day. a real, live UFO!!!! I still have the picture and would love to send it to whom ever would like to have a copy!!!!!!!!! ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

WHITE SILENT CIRCLE THAT FADES IN BRIGHTNESS, TRAVELING SOTHWEST TO NORTHEAST AT 5,000 FEET I HAVE NOTICED THIS ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION. A WHITE CIRCLE TRAVELING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, GOING FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST.THE GLOW WILL FADE IN AND OUT.

THERE IS NO APPARENT SOUND WITH THIS OBJECT. I USUALLY NOTICE THIS CRAFT IN THE TIME FRAME OF 2:45 TO TO 3:15 AM. THE FLIGHT PATTERN IS NOT DIRECT.

IT SEEMS TO FADE OFF COURSE, THEN CORRECT ITS SELF. I HAVE SEEN THIS APPROXIMATELY THREE OR FOUR TIMES SINCE THE FIRST OF JUNE. ON THE MOST RECENT SIGHTING, THERE WERE AIRPLANES COMING FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION SHORTLY AFTER MY VISUAL CONTACT (SURELY THEY HAD TO HAVE NOTICED--RIGHT ? THE OBJECT APPEARS TO BE AT AN ALTITUDE OF APPROXIMATELY 5,000 TO PREHAPS 7500 FEET.

Bright glowing red light came over the trees to our backyard. Seemed to be the size of a football field. Our yard is about 2 1/2 acres.

It filled the sky over our yard. Glowed even brighter red then disappeared. No sound.

Seemed to be alot of electricity in the air. It interrupted a cell phone conversation and caused me to lose signal which is very unusual. 2 pet dogs seemed to be very disturbed.

Highh speed hhigh altitude circular green light/object, 07.01.01 Large (dime size?) green circular light comprising bright focal point and halo.

Travelled east to west horizon to horizon High speed. No visible tail. Appeared to be high altitude or orbital, ALTHOUGH some witnesses thought that it exhibeted earthward motion and expected an impact.
