lighted object with a strange motion. May have been livestock involvment. This happened in the country about 2 mi.

north of Alcoa. We were outside talking and noticed to the east of where we were this lighted object just hovering in one spot. The lights appeared to be flashing of some sort.

All of a sudden as fast as you can move your hand above your head and as far down as possible this thing moved this fast and flew right back up just as fast. Up,down,up,down several times. When the thing flew up you could hear the cows in the distant 1 mile away mooing.

After watching for about 1 hr. it started heading west toward us. I could no longer see any lights though as it moved directly over our heads we could see it was huge about the size of a football field only triangular in shape it was not that high in the air maybe 800 ft.

A silver-metallic hockey puck shaped object just hanging in the daytime sky. This sighting occurred during full-daylight, in a beautiful blue near-cloudless sky. I was traveling north on a popular rural route (Manhattan Road) in western Putnam County, when I noticed an object up in the sky probably many miles ahead of me at an altitude of several thousand feet.

My first impression was it must be a balloon, but very quickly knew it was not one as it was completely motionless in the sky. While it was a fairly serene day, obviously anything in the sky such as a balloon at that altitude, would have been moving at least a little bit. Since it was in the sky ahead of me, I was able to try to watch it for several minutes, maybe as much as 10 minutes.

But because I had a commitment that I had to be at, I couldn't stop, and of course I didn't have a camera to take a picture of it. The entire time I was viewing it, it never seemed to move. Rather it just hung there motionless in the air.

I have never to this day have seen anything that could just stay motionless in the air, except this one object I saw in broad daylight. The best way to describe the shape of it is to compare it to a hockey puck. It appeared flat on two sides and perfectly circular in shape.

The color was silver-metallic. I couldn't make out any features such as "windows", or "engine ports". The object's surfaces seemed perfectly smooth.

While it looked like a hockey puck, it didn't lie flat in the sky, but was "tilted" at about 30 degrees. Once again, nothing about the appearance of the object during the time that I observed it changed. It never rotated on its own axis, or moved in the sky.

It was clear to me that it was some kind of solid object, and not something "celestial" in the sky I was looking at. It finally was out of my view after driving about 15 miles, but when I was able to take a peak behind me in the sky, it was still there. I am an open-minded person, but always look for a logical solution first.

This sighting to this day, still has me baffled as to what could just "hang in the sky". ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate. PD)).

Triangular dark shape hovering above closed ammunition plant in Southern Indiana. My mother and I were driving back home from Clarksville, Indiana. It was dark outside and the weather was warm and clear.

We were driving northeast along the road that takes you past the Jeffersonville Ammunitions Plant. We both saw it at the same time. An object in the sky with no lights.

It didn't appear to be moving. The object was hovering above one of the old closed down factory sections. It wasn't really high but it wasn't what I would call low either.

I would saw that it was as high as a very tall radio tower(if that makes any sense). If I had to guess how big it was, I would have to compare it to jets I have seen at airshows at that altitude. I would say about the size of a B1-B.

We approached it. It was off to the east of us. It never moved from the point in that point in the sky.

My mother slowed down and I stuck my head out the window for about three minutes. I never heard any noise coming from the object and there were only a couple of cars in the area but not near us. The object was dark.

CIRCLE OF APPROXIMATELY TEN LIGHTS SIGHTED HOVERING OVER PERU, INDIANA. In the early morning hours of mid summer in 1991 I witnessed a "Circle" UFO. I had gotten off of work at a local restaurant.

I walked home a block and a half away to change from my work clothes and into my running clothes. I proceeded to run to a local Villiage Pantry for a late night snack. I was running on West Main St on the north side of the road.

I at the time was having a conversation with "God." I had asked him and her if they could show me an "Angel of the Lord" or what I refer to as whats described in the Christian Bible. Almost insantaniously behind my destination spot on the North East corner of Main and Hospital Rd I noticed what appeared to be an airplane.

I was a little confused as to why this plane or object was flying so low and right over a main street in town. I stopped running and proceeded to walk the rest of the way. All the while watching the object come closer.

It at first appeared to be a taller vehicle in the road behind a regular size car which was stopped at a red light at the intersection of West Main and Hosptial Rd. I thought maybe it was a "Monster Truck." Living in the midwest that wouldn't have surprised me.

But then it was noticeably higher in the horizon. And the lights in front did look very much like bright yellow headlights of a truck. It then appeared like lights from maybe a medium sized aircraft.

I stood on the north east corner of Main and Freemont St to observe the object come closer. I had seen a car in front of the object in question turn left off of West Main St then proceed North onto Hospital Rd. I often wondered if the occupants in that vehicle had seen what I had seen.

Just south of me on the South East corner of Main and Freemont is a church. And on the South West corner of the intersection there is a wood and brick home. A home also stood on the North West corner.

On the corner that I was standing there stands a mansion. I checked the wind around me and listened for any noise. There was neither wind or noise.

Only the so! und of m y breathe and the sound of my shoes when I occasionally moved a foot or two. There also was no moon visible and it was a starry night. The object proceeded to move east over West Main St.

When the object became closer to me the "headlights" disappeared behind the trees and when the object was totally within view it hovered over the trees and the home on the South West corner of West Main and Freemont St. I was in "awe" of what I was seeing. We were caddy corner from each other.

I couldn't make out a body to what I was seeing only approximately ten soft circular white lights in a perfect circle. The distance of the object or lights seemed to be within 50 feet from the ground or 30 from the top of the home it was hovering over. It was very surreal to say the least.

I wasn't scared. I was enthrawled if anything. I wanted to know and experience more of what I was seeing.

I started thanking "God" for giving me a response to what I was only moments ago talking with him and her about. Then I thought to myself, "Why me?" Some twenty-something year old from Peru, Indiana. I was no one important at least in the eyes of anyone on Earth besides maybe my mother.

I decided to go in for a closer look by jaywalking across the street where I would be right under it or them. In the same instance that I proceeded to walk over to the South West corner of the intersection the lights and maybe object started to move in a "counter clock wise" motion heading South East. I stopped in the middle of the intersection saying in a whisper, "Don't go.

" And, "I want to see more." I was not afraid. I watched as it or they dissappeared behind the houses and trees in town.

I ran to the river which is three blocks south of where I stood. Which took approximately a minute. I stood on the railroad tracks that are located on the north side of the Wabash River.

In the South Eastern part of town maybe a half a mile away all I saw was the same "beams" of light that I had initially seen shining toward the south. I still ! could se e no shape to what was giving off the strange lights. I at that moment assumed it was a plane and came to the conclusion that the object or lights that I saw had vanished.

Only now do I know that the beams of lights where of the same. The following day I phoned Grissom Air Force Base which is located South West of town to see if there had been any night flights the night I witnessed my UFO. I was told that there were no night flights in the area.

Which didn't surprise me because the base was due to close in a matter of a few years. It was only until today that I decided to find out if others have witnessed similar occurrances and experiences by logging onto NUFRC. You would think that I would have written the exact month and date of this.

But after being laughed at over and over again after telling my eye witness account the month and date didn't seem so important. Until now. Many people have labeled me "crazy" because of what I tell them.

"I could care less." Now I have validation of what I had seen. Whether it was "God" giving me an answer to what I was asking or something or someone else.

I AM FOURTY SEVEN, BUT WAS IN MY MID THIRTIES AT THE TIME MY GIRLFRIEND AND MYSELF GOT UP EARLY ONE SPRING MORNING TO ENJOY THE NEW DAY. SHE WAS WATCHING THE BIRDS FLY AT A DISTANCE AND COMENTED FOR ME TO LOOK ALSO, AS I BEGAIN TO LOOK I SAW WHAT LOOK LIKE A OBJECT CHANGING FORM AS IT MOVED,AS IT GOT CLOSER TO USE COMMING FROM EAST TO WEST I COULD SEE IT WAS ROUND OR CIRCULAR IN SHAPE. THIS OBJECT SCARED ME BECAUSE IT WAS ONLY ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FEET OR LOWER FROM THE GROUND, IT WAS JET BLACK AND THREE ANTENA COMMING OUT FROM ITS SHAPE AT DIFFERENT ANGLES, ONE AT THE TOP AND THE TWO OTHERS FROM THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDES OF THE LOWER BOTTOM.

THE UFO WOULD ONLY MOVE WHEN THE ATENA WERE OUT STRETCHED, AND STOP WHEN RETRACTED. NO SOUND,NO COMTRAILS JUST MOVEING SLOWLY AND BOUNCING UP AND DOWN SLOWLY AS THOUGH IT WAS HAVING PROBLEMS MAINTAIN ALTITUDE, I DID SEE A COMMERCIAL PLAN AT A DISTANCE BUT THIS OBJECT WAS NOT CONCERN. IT STOPPED JUST IN FRONT OF OUR EASY VIEW AS THOUGH IT COULD SEE US WATCHING,THEN SLOWLEY MOVED ON.

I HATE THAT I HAD NO CAMERA IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AND END TO THOSE BLURED UFO PICTURES PEOPLE SHOW.

Object looked like a full moon, but it travelled too fast, and went the wrong way. Gentlemen: I was on my way home from work one morning. The object In question looked like a full moon that was out that previous night as well.

but this object was hovering when first I spotted it. I say hovering we'll suffice it too say it was stationary, Then all of a sudden it started moving toward the north by north west. As we all know the moon does not travel on a north west trajectory.

Especially over here on the north American continent. The last time that I saw it it went over a hill and I lost sight of it. As I was on the interstate at the time I couldn't pursue it any further.

After I got home and was unloading the car I happened to look to the south and there was the moon right where it was supposed to be. low flying object about 5 feet away it was a dark but clear night. i was down stairs with my dad and mom when we herd a strange vibrating noise not very loud but loud enough to scary my dog he ran in and hid under the couch for some time. we all went out side and saw a larg flying object flying only about30 ft up in the air and about five feet away.

There was an absence of light, like a blackhole. I have to report what I witnessed, however it doesn’t match anything that has ever been reported. It was January 1990 and snow had fallen the night before.

The sky was completely cloud free and there was a full moon. I was heading home around 3:30 am traveling along a road that ran next to a river, and the moon light reflected off of the snow almost making it seem like day time. I suddenly felt as though I was being watched, the hairs on my whole body stood up.

I looked into my rear view mirror, only to see myself sitting in the back seat., and for an instance, almost a blink of an eye, I saw myself driving while I was sitting in the back seat. At this point I was starting to feel very confused and everything seemed surreal.

I peered out of my window up at the full moon, which was in the ten o’clock position, and that’s when the really bizarre happened. The only way I can describe it was like the movie Predator, I didn’t see lights in the sky, but just the opposite. It was the absence of light, like a blackhole.

Some iris shaped crafted passed between me and the moon, obscuring it from sight, similarly to an eclipse. It was like the moon was gone, and then the craft passed and the moon started to appear. I was only a few minutes from my home when this took place, and when I arrived my dog, a German Shepard named Trooper, was agitated and barking furiously.

Normally at this time he is sleeping and can’t be bothered to get up. When I opened the door Trooper ran out the door and across the road and into the woods. I was still out of sorts from the previous few minutes, but I decided I needed to bring him in for the night.

Trooper barked and chased after something into the woods. I called to him from the road for about a minute only to hear him attacking something, and then he let out a yelp. All went silent.

I had no idea what just happened. Seconds later Trooper ran by me and straight to the house and cried for me to let him in. Looking back into the woods I started to get that fee! ling aga in that someone or something was watching me.

Once inside Trooper ran and hid behind the couch. I pulled him out and checked him for any signs of a fight. I couldn’t find any cuts or scratches on him.

Years later I thought about what I could have witnessed. Trying to come up with some kind of explanation for what took place. The only conclusion I can make comes straight out of sci-fi.

Remember this is my hypothesis of the night, not anything based in science fact. Perhaps some sort of temporal wake was generated by this unknown craft. And this temporal wake gave me the perception that I saw myself in the backseat, and the perception of me in the backseat seeing me drive.

I can’t explain this, however I would have thought that someone else would have had a similar experience by now, and maybe even a theory would have been generated. I can’t be alone in this type of UFO phenomenon. As for what happened to my dog Trooper.

This only deepens the mystery, for which I can’t say the two events are connected. However I’m curious if there has ever been any other such encounters reported or maybe you can offer another theory as to my experience. I seek honest answers.
