6 Deputys at roadblock see object in level flight with large exhaust trail, explosion near nose of craft sends multiple smaller objects streaking to ground. On the above date and time, myself and 5 other deputys were working a drivers' license check at the main intersection of a small rural community in our county.I had just released a motorist to go on his way when I heard one of the deputys exclaim,"What the hell is that!" I turned to face him and looked in the direction he was looking, which was to our northwest.

It was not hard to see what he was looking at. I observed an object whose shape was hard to determine at first, as it appeared to be coming almost straight at us. I did easily notice the long trail of exhaust and flame that trailed the object.

The object progressed rather slowly, about normal aircraft speed, from our northwest(right), to eventuaslly end up to our southeast(left). As the objectbecame closer and crossed our field of vision, a shape could be better made out. At first, a couple of us thought it might be an airliner that was on fire, but we could not make out any wings or tail structure.

The glow from the trail of fire was illuminating the rear of the object somewhat. It should be noted that this sighting occured on a cloudless night with a 3/4 moon in the western sky, many stars visible, and a very clear view as we were far away from any city lights. When the object crossed between our position and the moon in the west, we could discern a cigar-like shape, reminiscent to me of a large missile(icbm type).

The others present were in agreement as to the shape of the craft. At a point where the object was moving away to the southeast, but still mostly in front of us, we observed a very bright and instantaneous explosion near the "nose" of the object, immediately followed by approx. ten small objects which streaked toward the ground in a fan pattern, disapperaing in the proverbial"twinkling of an eye".

In fact, if we had blinked, I'm sure we would have missed them, they moved so fast. At that point, a couple of us were saying our prayers and waiting for the blinding flash and mushroom cloud. The closest thing I could think of to describe what I was seeing was an icbm that had just MIRV'ed.

There was fortunately no explosion, much to our surprise and relief. We continued to watch the main object progress in controlled flight, to the southeast fo our position, until it finally became nothing but an orange circle of light, as if we were now looking straight at the rear end of the thing. We continued to watch the object until we could no longer see any sign of it.

It flew out of our sight. It did not explode, blink out, disappear, or streak off at an unbelievable rate of speed. Once we rgained our composure, I radioed the sheriffs' office and asked the dispatcher to call the FAA Flight Control Center in McAlester.

He asked me what was going on because he was already getting calls from citizens around the county who had also seen the object. He called the FAA and they had no report of any scheduled aircraft or any aircraft at all for our area. Within a few minutes, the dispatcher advised me he had received a teletype over the state law enforcement net of the report of an object that landed in a farmers field near Anadarko,Ok.

(approx. 130 miles west of McAlester.), and that personnel from Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City were enroute to see what it was.

That was the last we heard about this until the next day. I channel surfed the news all day long, checking for any mention of this incident, to no avail. Of the seven separate news stations we had available, not one mentioned anything until 1730 that evening when KOCO channel 5 in OKC made a statement that if you saw a bright light in the sky the night before and wondered what it was, you were not alone.

They claimed officials at Tinker had no idea what it was either. At a second newscast on this same channel 30 minutes later, in fact, during the weather portion of the broadcast, the weatherman stated that officials at Tinker had determined that what we saw was a Russian "booster rocket" re-entering the earthe's atmosphere and burning up due to friction. Well, I'm no "rocket scientist"(pun intended), but what I saw was on a perfectly level trajectory(horizontal) with no angle.

There was definitely a large streak of flame behind the object, but it was emanating from the rear of the craft, not the nose as you would expect if the flame was caused by friction. The craft was not on fire, it was under propulsion. No other mention of this incident was ever heard by me.

Those of us who saw it don't talk about it anymore. I still have video of the few seconds KOCO devoted to it though.

It wasn't helicoptor and it dang sure wasn't swamp gas! I have been very hesitant to ever talk about this incident over the years because this incident was disturbing and the few I have trusted to share this with have thought it to be ammusing. We also have had the thought that maybe we saw something that we shouldn't have. On this evening My wife, mother-in-law,myself, and our two sons went out for a drive, not really going anywhere we found ourselves just north of Pawnee Ok.

I noticed some lights coming from the west side of the road and slowed the car to take a closer look at what I thought was spot lights from a low flying helicopter. Which in its self was a strange sight for us to see, at first there were two spot lights shining on the pasture as if looking for something. So I stopped to watch for a moment, then one light shut off, as it came closer the light was shined upon our car and continued until the object was very close.

At this time the light was turned off and we realized we were observing something not known to us. It was a very moon lit night and this thing was very large, and very slow moving. As far as description it had no apparent lights once the spot lights were turned off with the exception of what appeared as some very white small high intensity light that would flash from the left side and zip across the front and flash quickly on the left.

It made no noise and was very visible as it hovered above our car at about 40-50 ft. It appeared somewhat stealth like in shape with some sort lower level on the belly side. It had the appearance of metalic structure and was much larger than a home.

Never did it do anything or move in any aggresive manor. I did not have the nerve to get out of the car but we did watch this thing over us for at least a full five minutes, another car had pulled up behind us and stopped so I know someone else saw this same thing, but I was shaken by what I was seeing and did not try to talk to them. The final thing that made this so disturbing was several helicoptors came in from the same path and about the same low altitude.

As they approached it started to move to the northeast and within seconds was completely out of sight. There appeared to be several high flying planes following along the same flight path but this thing moved many times faster than the planes. I don't know why I have decide to share this now as most people will not beleive it anyway, but we are still bothered by this to this day without resolve of what we saw.

We watch everything that comes on television about UFO's in the hope that somewhere someone will have a picture of something similar but so far we have seen nothing that even remotely resembles this thing. In my mind it is still impossible for something this large and metalic just to float there, a stones throw above my head for so long and then leave with speed I have never witnessed before. I can't explain it but maybe there are others that have been witness to something like this and like myself feel they cannot tell anyone.

I feel deceived as I beleive someone knows what these things are. ((NUFORC Note: We will invite the other witnesses to submit their respective reports, as well, together with illustrations. PD)).

300 ft long.black rectangle silent craft my grandparents and I watched float over our property almost above us. Grandfather called myself and grandmother outside to look at object, we viewed the common description of a 300 ft.

long black rectangle craft. It moved from north to south about 100 ft or so in the air. No sound was noticed and I don't recall any lights.

It drifted past and we watched until we couldn't see it any longer. One of the most vivid memories I have. Nothing else was abnormal as best as I can recall.

Viewed in summer '90 with mother, colorful orb quietly travel in sky in unconventional manner. It was the summer of 1990. I was visiting home from the Univ.

of OK for the summer. My mom had told me stories earlier in the day about how she and a neighbor up the hill had seen a UFO a few times together. I thought she was "full of it", so she said let's try to see it tonight.

We live in a vally in rural OK. Not much light, so the sky is highly visible. We looked into the western sky with our naked eyes (where they had previously viewed it).

Only woods and creeks that way. To my amazement we saw it, shortly after looking for it. It looked like a bright star at first.

But it proceeded to move first slowly, then sharply back and forth and up and down(no particular order). It changed several colors, but it was so long ago that I can't remember the actual ones. It was completely quiet.

We should have heard something if it were a conventional craft, because it was pretty close to us. We didn't report it to authorities, but did tell friends and family. She(mom) never saw it again after that night.
