Hugh rectangular object hovered over my home. it was a clear night, I sensed something ( don't know what ) outside. Our hone faced south, and was on the north edge of town, with nothing but open fields to the east of us.

I was in the family room, which was on the N.W. back side of the house.

I arose from the couch, and went to the patio doors, which looked out to the north. I opened the sliding door and looked up, and saw a hugh object, which seemed to be hundreds of feet across, east to west, and was over our house. I could not see the south end of it, as it was beyond my field of vision.

It covered , what seemed to be a few hundred feet to the north of the house. I was startled, and was torn between going back inside, upstairs to get my binoculars, and/or camera, to try and get some record, or to try to see it better. It had structure and there were lights on the bottom.

It seemed so large, and yet it was moving so little that it may have been motionless. It was something that defied reason, nothing that large could be there, and be motionless, and make no noise. I watched it for , what seemed like minutes, and then made an attempt to go get something to make somekind of record with, a camera.

I ran upstairs, searched for it, and the binoculars, scanning out the upstairs window, which faced north also, came back down, in a panic and saw it vanish. I searched the skies for over an hour, uping to get a glimpse of it again, but didn't. I was terribly dissappointed.

I have never been able to forget this, I just had to tell someone. I'm not sure of the year, but we lived in this house from the fall of 1972, till the summer of 1976. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date of sighting is approximate.

saw disk shaped object out of window I read a report from goshen, IN (one of the earlest on the indaina board) that remided me of something I saw around the same time. Bremen is a town that is west south west of goshen, about 35-40 miles. I lived at the sothern edge in an old two story house.

I was very young, 5th grade to be exact. I was in bed, my bed faced a large (door sized) window in the room. I dont know what made me sit up and look out the window (from the bed) I saw a very large object moving across the sky with a slight tilt to it nose up, it had a green light on the front, a white on the rear.

(it was dark and I could only see in sillowette)Inbetween what I thought was two plates was an area of red windows for lack of a better term. as it passed by my window its windows had a bright red light that had trailing lights,(they would progressivly get dimmer going around the ship (6 steps or so), the bright red light was moving around the disk shape.the whole event only lasted for a few seconds.

I was so frightend by it that I tried to screem out to my mom and sister, but nothing came out. after a few minutes I went down to tell them. they thought I was dreaming or something, I know I wasn't I have seen a lot of strange things, I never saw this again, or any aircraft like it.

it was unlike a helocopter, moving to slow for an airplane that low, and it was big I would say it took up atleast two window widths. years later (1980) myself and two friends where in the old church yard,( a place we played) I had saw some geese fly over, ( a fun trick to play on someone) the geese bellies reflect the town light faintly, so it looks like a UFO and they often fly in a V formation .tee hee.

well anyway we were out in the back of the church, very dark there. it wasn't long before we all three saw an aircraft moving at an unbelievable rate of speed, it passed over head in less than 6 seconds (missle fast). it left a very unusual con trail (billowing cotton that we could see at night) moving from east to west.

it had no lights and made no sound, no boom (it was moving fast enough it should have), no engine noise, nothing. I assume it might have been a stelth test or something, it had that shape to it. triangular.

for years (15) when ever we would run into each other (steve would alway mention that night). again never saw anything like it until the stelth fighter came out, but what we saw was bigger than that. heads up.

saucer viewed from side with lights or portholes, by 3 witnesses. Near Solitude, Indiana, just a little over three miles north of Mt. Vernon, a couple and their little boys were on their way home from a play in New Harmony, heading S on Hwy 69.

They observed an object silhouetted against the moonlit haze in the SW. Although a couple of miles away, the object had a clear cigar shape with three white lights. They continued driving down the highway and, as they got over the top of some hills, the object started to descend, getting larger and larger all the time.

Right at the bottom of the hill they slowed down and the object appeared to be hovering. It was approximately a hundred yards from them then, and it was moving, but very slow. The adult male witness reported: "It acted like it was on water or floatin'-like.

" It now had four lights on it, two on each end, the shadowy object was was long and slender, "kinda cigar-shaped." At one time "it was just right above us, maybe 50-60'. Well, you couldn't b! elieve the size of it.

It was real large. We went down the highway just a little further. We were going to park the car, so we pulled in there and were getting out of the car and we couldn't find it.

It had just vanished." The object was "thin on the ends" and, "as it got to the middle, it was thicker. But like I say, we could just see the shadow".

At 2230, my father and I saw a black triangular shaped object in the sky with three lights, one being green, the other two were red. It was a clear night; this object blocked out the stars where we were in the country around New Albany, Indiana by Highway 111. The lights were not bright and the object moved slowly without sound.

The only movement we noted was the sway of the trees a thousand feet above us on the bluff. This object travelled west across the Ohio River and proceeded towards Ft. Knox, KY.

I myself observed the object for one and one half hours, even using my binoculars. Note my father was a loadmaster in the airforce at the local base at that time, and commented to me, "Oh, they've had that thing for years and years." this craft has been seen by many other people as well but i do not know what happen to them .

i have seen many ufos high in the sky eraly day light hours as well as nite time. I saw the one in 1976 / 6 off hwy 95 & Inter state 10 south quartzsite ,az. the red glow that ran off left two F -14 in the dust !!! for years i have seen many things i watch apaches, crusies,patoits fly in yuma ,az.

in my seatch i went to roswell,nm. to see for myself like you wanting to know. as a specialists in transporting elec- tornic my job took me places far from city lights I have many other stores to tell.

but most of all some of them are govts. the others yes they are. now iam in cresnet city ,ca.

to see wave when it comes !!.

I was a pizza delivery person back then, working for Rossina Pizza in Mishawaka, Indiana(they still are open). I was driving westbound on Mishawaka Ave, crossing the St. Joseph River.

To my north, I noticed a craft, flying low, traveling to the northwest. I turned my car north onto the first road west of the bridge, turned off the car, and rolled down the windows.I wathched this circular craft drift over the river, just above the trees.

It had yellow and white lights blinking around the outer circumference, there were NO sounds from the craft. I watched it until it went out of sight. When I completed my delivery, I went back to the shop and told everyone!! They wanted to know if I saw any Purple People!! Today, I live in Miami, Florida.

I am the Natural Areas Manager for the county and have a BS degree in Biology. I'm not a kook, this really happened. My family knows, I just thought it should be recorded by you guys for posterity.

3 colored lights rotating silently seen in northwest indiana. about 6pm. (just shortly after dark)in the summer (june-sept) between 1973-1975.

i was about 12-14 years old. my mother asked me to go outside to burn our paper garbage, we lived on the end of a dead end street beside a swampy area and regularly separated and burned paper refuse at the edge of a large mowed area we maintained,and the start of the wooded/swampy area about 20 yards from our house. i was watching "the "A" team" on TV at the time(may help time frame) and not wanting to be interrupted, i ran out our backdoor fast dropped the paper sack full of paper trash, flicked several lit matches into it and ran back inside.

when i approached the back door my mother was still standing on the porch holding open the screen door with her back and looking off in the distance.i ran past her into the kitchen and heard her call me and say "what is that?" i turned around and went back beside her and she was looking off in the sky to the southeast. i saw what appeared to be lights flashing and started to dismiss it as a plane so i could return to my TV show.

the lights appeared to move in an odd way and looked too low to be a plane, my response was cut short to "it's just a." and i knew it was not a plane or helicopter. there were 3 lights in the form of a triangle and looked to be spinning and shifting back and forth as the object "wobbled" towards us slowly.

it appeared to be a green,red and blue light but a white light was visible in the mix, however not located on the object in a solid fashion like the other 3 lights. i became enchanted with staring at it and my mother seemed to be in a daze, my mouth was open to say some sort of explanation, however my mind ran thru a list of goodyear blimp(too fast) helicopter(no sound)airplane(too slow). i felt euphoria and a sense of calm overtake me but i could not speak.

i slowly stepped towards it and down off the porch to stand on our driveway and could not take my eyes away from it. it was coming directly towards us and moved like a hoola-hoop and each rotation of the "hoola-hoop" was like a slide forward. i remember thinking of a rotary engine at the time and mazda had commercials about rotary engines on tv.

it got closer and was silent and large and the triangle shape made by the 3 lights seemed to be mounted around a central circle or sphere and rotated or "hoola-hooped" around the central mass. i was now positive it fit no logical explanation or known physics as it would fall from the sky moving so slow but a blimp could never move in that fashion and that was the only explanation i had as to its silence. it hoola-hooped or "slid" toward us and the only thing i could compare it to was 2 magnets opposing each other seemed similar to what held this thing aloft.

it was almost overhead near the mowed area beside our house and i felt in a trance somewhat and began to think "land!.we are friendly, please come meet us, and felt a sort of love and warmth inside as it continued to approach me, then i started to realize i could hit it with a rock it was so low and my mind went to shift to proof and police and shooting it down and calling the media and getting famous. we always kept a loaded 22 rifle behind our back door,my mother shot squirrels with it.

i broke my mind away from the object and ran to get the gun, it was not there. i ran back out and it was now hoola-hooping away from us east northeast as if it read my thoughts and changed its mind, i felt guilty for thinking things that made it go away. it continued slowly east toward willow street and 39th ave just east of I-65 until it was out of sight.

i called state police and they said nobody has reported anything.i felt sure some others had to see it, i looked in the newspapers the next week and saw no mention of it. it was first seen at the intersection of the nickle-plate railroad tracks and interstate 65, low enough all the cars on the interstate surely would have seen it.

it traveled to the south end of 41st and swift street gradually getting lower then east toward 39th and willow street gradually getting higher. my mother seemed in a trance most of the time and afterwards refused to talk about it in any detail. i felt it may have spotted me throwing the lit matches into the trash and the flashes attracted in in the dark, i felt it was reading my mind the entire time and would have landed (if it would fit) beside our house if i did not start thinking bad things.

i am left thinking why if it was from outer space etc would it have ANY lights on it, it would not need to obey any flight regulations or such of earth people. It was not any known technology then or now, that i am aware of.

rapid moving high altitude glowing orange disk moves from horizon to horizon in about 5 seconds I looked up on a clear, cold, starry night while on the driveway preparing to get in my car. I saw a glowing bright orange circular object which I assume was a disk as I was looking at the circular bottom. The object appeared to be as high up as typical airplane altitudes, but I was unable to judge the size of the object.

It made no sound and left no trail. The object came from the western horizon and disappeared into the eastern horizon in about 5 seconds. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

UFO tampreing with comunication towers in Terre Haute, In I was about 13 and had a morning paper rout. It was on a sunday evrly morning. I had gotten up to see if the newspapers had arived (so that I could start on doing the inserts and folding them for delivery).

I looked out the front door wich faced west and could see a number of comunications towers (WTHI tv and radio, what was then WIIL tv,as well as three other radio antena,s).There was a craft hovering next to the top of boath the tv towers. As I watched them the one farthest away (at the WIIL tower) moved (didnt realy see it move but it did) to the next tower in the line-up I think it was thr WPFR tower.

where it hovered. a moment later the one that was closest to me(at the WTHI tower) moved to the tower that the other object had just left. They proceded in this fassion untill they had paused at eash tower in my view and i would guess went to other towers in their path.

I reported this to my parents who said that they had been listening to the local,sheriff,and state police depts. talking about them on the "scanner".Even tho Hulman Field did not send any responding aircraft.

Wile this was giong on I was unable to move (i wanted to get the camera but couldn't).The event is still etched in my mind as if it just happened.I know others have seen the same thing yet have not been able to find any other reports.

Hopefully this will bring them out. I Have also witnessed another where a small red ball was next to a direct tv antenna that was just installed.there was a friend with me at the time who saw this instance as well.
