Massachusetts UFO Sightings in 1993

Multiple lights moved across a field before dawn, 50 minutes of this. As one approached, I returned to truck for camera and saw bright lights in the sky. At 5am, before daylight, my brother-in-law and myself separated to deer hunt on the edge of a very large corn and hay field bordered by a cat-tail marsh and enormous red maple and white cedar swamp.

I saw what I thought were headlights coming from some distance across the field and hurried to reach a hill. I intended to get there ahead of anyone else since it was a choice location to observe the surroundings for deer. Once I arrived at my spot on the 25' hill I sat down to await daylight, my compound bow nearby.

Again I noticed the lights toward the east and moving along just over the ground at adistance of several hundred yards, left to right.The two of them were white and appeared to me to be attached to a silent truck or an ATV. As they moved they passed behind brush, became erratic,as though someone was running with handheld flashlights.

The lights went out and I assumed whoever it was had reached their destination. Moments later a single light re-appeared, this time rising above the horizon and toward me, I moved to get down from the hill as it grew larger and higher in the sky. I then realized it was nothing I had been thinking it was.

At perhaps 20 yards, with it over my shoulder, I tried to put some distance between us. I headed toward my truck and a camera with difficulty in the darkness, As I looked back it was descending, glowing over the marsh, and then there was a silent explosion of bright light as though a wick had burned through the sky and reached a large quantity of flammable material. The sky was clear and the air absolutely still, Once I reached the truck I could again see a low light moving across the field as before.

I then saw a bright "star" well over the horizon in the direction I had come from, but, I thought at greater distance. It began descending slowly and I tried to photo it but it faded while I fumbled looking through camera. At about 5:45 am there were again low lights over the field, then two lights side by side in the sky growing in intensity, brighter like two suns, only small.

I could now see my brother-in-law and went toward him. The lights went dim until gone- took 5 seconds to disappear in the sky. Daylight was gathering, we watched as more small lights like headlights moved along erratically out in the field, then out of sight.

As soon as it was light enough to make out the landscape, a fog formed, which was a remarkable transformation from the clear pre-dawn. In conclusion, I feel the lower lights were probably "swamp gas", ignited in the hay field and following a "fuse" back to it's source under the water in the marsh. As tidy as that is, I'm troubled by the sky lights.

My brother was visiting from Vermont that night where he works for the state, he suggested I write an account of my experience that very night, which I have referenced here,in order that my story wouldn't get confused with other people's comments, etc. Background: I have hunted, fished and hiked for 22+ years, I work oudoors before daylight often till after dark,I am a com.fisherman.

Have hiked and hunted northern and southern wilderness areas in the dark and by compass, In short, I have spent countless hours in the woods watching the sky and stars,Iv'e seen the sun come up over the ocean close to a thousand times. I'd prefer to not be personally linked to this.

craft flies directly over us (very high up) from west stops, gets smaller (ascends) and shoots of north at a very high rate of speed at approx the time listed above during the early part to august 1993, me and friend were out for a walk, we saw the craft directly overhead, it was pretty high up, at least 10,000 ft', it made no noise, was a perfect equilateral triangle, it appeared black but hard to tell (it was night). it had a large light in the center of an orangish color and lights on each vertex of the triangle. the craft approached from the west at about the speed of a jet.

stopped nad started ascend stright upward.(it was getting smaller). at approx the same time planes from the nearby westover AFB were scrambled.

i remember 1 jet (f-16) , c-130's i think and many helicopters all in the air at the same time. they were they were all flying in random patterns over the sky. the UFO then took off at a HIGH rate of speed toward the north.

two more strange events took place the next night and the following day. the next night at the nearby school soccer field. me and my friend were out again looking for the craft of the previous night when we heard something running through the woods.

i thought it was my friend joking around so i ran toward it i could see the out line of something human-ish but just an outline. but i look to my right and my friend was there. so it wasnt him in front of me approx.

20' the thing was talking??? but it was very low and couldnt make out any words. it then took off through the woods making, and it didnt run like a human its gate was too large. about 30 minutes later (we didnt follow it by the way) we head this loud metallic girnding sound, i have never heard a sound like this in the past or ever again.

we could also see a light emmininating from the woods, it came throught the trees, and lit up the woods like it was a full moon (it was midnight actually). all the birds were up, chirping and flying around. we started to walk into the woods toward the object the closer we got the brighter the light got and the louder the noise.

i knew there was a clearing in the woods at approx the place the light and sound were emminating. we got too scared and took off in the other direction as fast as we could book it. the next day in the afternoon we went to the place we we saw the light and we saw this van.

( it was white, no plates, 1 black window on the side) it was approx 1000 feet ahead. as we approached it started to drive off( making no noise even though the path was covered w/ leaves) we rounded a corner and lost view of it for approx 10 seconds when we came around the corner it was gone. the path about 10' wide at the location of the van but either end of the path was WAY TO NARROW for the van to exit the woods.

and the ground was muddy where the van was driving off to but there were no tracks. i was never a ufo believer ultil these 2 days. i am a scientist by heart and practice.

I am an environmental biology student, and i think totaly logicaly, and i try and find a reason for everything. but what is saw defies all reasonable explinations. if i heard this report from anyone else i wouldnt believe it but i actually saw it.

ill keep my friends name confidential but he can corroberate everything we saw. hope this report helps. i heard u on artbell saying u could report sightings that happened in the past so i did.

a friend and i were going home i noticed three lights just above the treeline of a local park, so i stopped the car in the middle of the road and observed the lights for a estimated time of 5 minutes. i don't know why but i just continued driving my friend home. A friend and I were going home and I took the route I generally took.

I began to drive down a sidestreet, the street is at a 45 degree angle to the park, when I looked over to the park I noticed three bright lights over the treeline. The lights were bright, but they weren't luminating the trees or ground. I stopped the car and we observed the lights.

Then before I realized it we were drive down the road toward my friends house. We never really discussed what we saw that night, but when we do (three years later)my friend gets alittle defensive and denies seeing anything. After a few days of the incident I told my girlfriend at the time about what we saw, she told me not to discuss this in public(in fear that I would be considered crazy).

Still to this day I wonder if anything happen to us, because it seems like time past and we back in the car driving like we normally did. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate. PD)).

Immense, perfectly rectangular shaped cloud-like object appears and disappears in a clear blue sky. At the time of this sighting in 1993, I held an extremely high profile job in law enforcement, and said nothing about it to anyone, however, it has stayed with me all these years. Since it occurred on the Massachusetts Turnpike in full view of hundreds if not thousands of cars, I decided I would post it here, in case someone else might have seen more of it.

I was driving Eastbound toward New York, late in the afternoon, when I came over a hill and noticed directly in front of me, in a clear sky what seemed to be an immense and dense white cloud-like, that was perfectly formed into a rectangle reminiscent of a white piano key. Its edges were perfectly formed and it seemed to be low in the sky and perhaps as much as a thousand feet in length. It remained perfectly motionless and radically unnatural in a cloudless, clear blue sky.

As I drove toward it in heavy traffic I debated pulling onto the shoulder of the road to take a photo. The road dipped into a valley and the object was hidden by trees. Determined to take a photo the moment I caught sight of it again, I raced the car forward.

By the time I reached the next hilltop, the sky was perfectly clear. I never saw it again, nor have I ever seen anything like it at any time in my life. As I said, the memory stays with me, along with a great regret for not having stopped my car immediately and taken a photo.

Was sitting on the back porch of my house with 2 of my friends and myself when we all noticed almost at the same time a strange triangle shaped object in the sky that sat there for about 20 seconds then split off into 3 seperate objects and all 3 sped off and a extremely high rate of speed. It was clear and it was just getting dark at the time. We then the next day went to go play some pool at a pool hall and I overheard another table talking about the same thing that they saw the night before.

This was never brought up again by any of us. And to this day I know what I saw was real and wasnt no swamp gas, weather baloon or any other excuse that is normaly used to explain these things. This was my 2nd siting both occured in Weymouth and both in the same year.

"TearDrop" Shape UFO in the Park. There was me and My cousin Janice sitting at a park when we were 16 years old, actually I was and she was 17 at the time. Any way, she thought that she had seen some fire in the distance so she nudged me to look up and over the hill that was in front of us.

There wasn't anything there so I told her she's just seeing things. Then allofasudden it happened. We both heard this high pitch buzzing or humming sound, and when we looked up we saw red and white flashes in the sky which soon formed a "teardrop" shape if you will or you may say it was sort of oval.

It hovered above us for about 10 to 15 minutes. It was just like so wierd you know. Well anyways there it is, and if no one believes me then oh well I know what I saw and I'm not crazy.
