Red Object over my backyard. On this date, I was putting wood in my woodstove, which is located in my den. The den has a window which is level with the front yard.

The ground was covered with snow, about an inch, maybe a bit more. As I was putting the wood in, I noticed the whole front yard was red. Assuming my chimminey was on fire, I ran upstairs and went to the deck which is located in the back of the house.

As I went past my mother, which at that time was living with my wife and I, I told her, "I think my chimminey is on fire!" Once I opened the sliding door which leads to the deck, she was behind me. As I looked outside, the whole back yard was bright red. Looking toward the chimminey I realized it was not on fire.

I looked around and saw a bright red round object over my backyard. It looked like a red spotlight, but big. I would say it was about 100 yards above the backyard.

The exact size is hard to decribe due to the brightness of the light, as if looking into a spotlight. But it was bigger than, let's say, a full size van. It hovered there for a few seconds and shot straight up, faster then anything I have ever seen, a loud boom followed and it disappeared going up.

It disappeared in less than a second or two. Being ex-U.S.

Army, a Sgt (E-5) with the 82nd ABN, two combat tours, I know it was not a military plane or helicopter. The boom, it is my opinion was the sound barrier being broken due to the speed it went up. I have seen many weapons and planes/helicopters in action, I have seen F-15's and F-16's fly over my head low, but nothing will compare to how fast this object shot straight up, even faster than missiles being shot from a MRLS vehicle.

The speed was undescribable. One curious thing is that it did not emit any sound, as in a motor running, only the boom as it went up. My next door neighbor came out to his deck and yelled at me, "Did you shoot a shotgun?!" I told him no, I didn't but had heard a noise, not figuring he would understand what I had just seen.

My mother saw the object also. I know it ! was not a military plane. I am not sure about the exact date, but I am sure it was around December of '93.

Flat square I only saw the bottom it was about 60 ft above my head It was 2am end of Aug 1993. I was laying on a pullout sleeper couch with my girlfriend. She looked up and saw a light through the blinds.

she asked me what it was. I reached up and opened the blinds and saw 2 red/orange lights attached to a huge object floating very slowly over the tree tops. I immediately got up and ran outside, trying to wake up everyone in the house as I ran.

It came over the top of the house as I ran out the front door. It had bracket looking symbols on the bottom *[ ]* with the lights on either side of it. the top and bottom of the brackets were bent at about 45 degrees as opposed to the 90 degree brackets.

This craft was about the size of the house and didn't make a sound I never saw the "top" of it only the bottom. I ran underneath it and it was very close as I got to the street I picked up a stone and threw it at the craft. I never heard the stone hit the craft nor did I hear the stone land.

The craft flew North until it went over the hill and outran me. Even when I was viewing it from behind as it flew away I did not see a top on it. I went back inside and no one woke up.

No one heard me yelling for them to wake up either. I spoke with my girlfriend and asked her why she didn't come outside. She said she was scared.

I thought about the stone and the fact that no one heard me yelling and thought that the craft had some kind of noise canceling technology on it. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date of incident is approximate. PD)).

Saw a orangish yellow oval move very suddenly and make an immediate right hand turn. I was standing outside waiting for the meteor shower with my grandmother. I was looking around the constealation Orion when i spotted a hovering yellowish orange oval.

About 2 seconds later the oval suddenly moved in a westernly direction streaking almost as fast as i could turn my head and move my eyes. The oval then shot southward and out of my point of view.

large craft hovering in field in july 1993 i was leaving a friends house heading home, as i look in the sky in the distance i seen a strange light/craft, i got in my vehicle and turned on lights and started to flash towards the craft which iam quessing it was a mile away,and quessing a mile up in the sky, as i blink the light of my old vehicle the craft made two extreme movement that where so fast that no way we usa military cannt have anything like this, so as it made these move's it was over top of us.i called for the other people in the house and pointed up and all we could do is stand in aww as the traingle craft as big as a foot ball field hovered at tree top right over us with no sound and the craft was midnight black and light seemed to reflect of of it.the craft traingle in shape had small lights on ever tip of the traingle and one round light in the middle of the craft ,it held this postion for 10 mins and slow moved away to the north east at the same elevation,i proceeded to ! get in my vehicle and drive home it seemed to follow me and just disappeared out of sight,and to this day when i few of us get together we discuss it but i dare not explain to many people what happened they would think iam crazy.

that was my experience i have another story from when i was a kid but that i quess may be for another time,just so you know i dont have any idea if this is connected but when i broke my arm as a teenager they found in my arm what looked to be a bb in my right arm that showed up on x-rays and still there to this day. I encountered an object around June or July of 1993. My family and I had just drove up to my house after returning from the store around 7:30p.m.

We went in the huse but, I had to go back outside to the car for something. I saw a Solid Black FISH shaped object in the sky coming from the southwest or sort of more westerd. It had no lights nor any sound, only silence.

It was traveling very slow NorthEastward or sort of more Northward. The object was very low and the size was three times as wide as my house and double in length. A few minutes after the craft/U.

F.O. was almost out of sight there came a military aircarft following its path in which it came.

Now the military craft was very loud with lights on it. We watched them both until they were out of view. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

strange explosion it was around 9pm i was driving with my boyfriend my newbaby and a friend to his apartment we were pulling into the drive when we saw this huge flash of light through the trees behind the apartment like an explosion all three of us saw it and decided to go and find it being that it seemed to be right behind the trees we drove for about 2 hrs and never found a thing i did see on the news where something had been sighted across the east coast but never found out what it had been something crashed but nothing was found or reported it was a huge explosion!!! Shere shaped object with brilliant bright lights The sighting occured after my friend and I were on our way back from playing basketball at a local gymnasium. We both lived on the same road and he drove me home, about 2 miles from my house we saw a strange sphere shaped object on the right side of the road above a security light its lights were so bright you could see them over the brightness of the security light, it had every color of the spectrum and the lights moved across the center of the object like a belt with a new color flashing every second. We stopped in the middle of the road and watched in amazement as it started to decend on the hill next to the road, it was rather large in appearence so it appeared to me that it was only 200 to 300 feet from the ground, we rounded the curve to get a better view only to discover that it had vanished.

A triangle formation seen each morning before daybreak for five days off Bud Wilson Road. I traveled Bub Wilson Road on the way to work from Saddlewood Subdivision toward Union Road every day. Each morning, before daybreak, on the way to work I saw a triangle formation of three lights in the sky, west of Bud Wilson Road.

Knowing that their is a small public airport in that direction, I did not think much of it the first morning. The formation looked as though an airplane had a nose light and two wing lights. The formation changed as though the airplane was making performing maneuvers(sp?.

I thought it was odd though, because I lived around the airport for thirty years and know what to expect as far as how airplane sound and look. This aircraft had no sound and the lights seemed to stretch apart and contract further that a normal light formation on any aircraft that I had ever seen. The next morning, I saw it again.

This time I slowed down to get a better look. Once again, the formation was very odd and their was no sound. Their is a mojor International Airport aprox.

20 miles past the small public airport that I mentioned earlier, so I thought that perhaps I was witnessing landing trafic at that airport. But that did not turn out to be the case either. The third morning, I slowed down once again and studied the formation.

The lights traveled in a triangle formation. The two trailing lights would stretch apart untill one of the trailing light would become the leading light and this would continue with the lights alternating. The road that I traveled goes South for aprox one mile, then curves to the west and goes about two and one half miles, like two sides of a rectangle.

I could tell that the formation was confined to this area. Finally, on the forth morning, the aircraft decided to follow me along the road. It was not directly over me.

I could look out the window and see it(the lights that is). Still no sound. Keep in mind that this is a very dark and quite area at 6:00 in the morning.

Their are no buildings or traffic. Just a cattle farm on one side and some hunting land on the other. By the time I got to the end of Bud Wilson Road, it was no longer there.

I lost it while tring to stay on the road. Then the fifth morning was the one that really onvenced me that this was no airplane or passenger jet. This morning, when I first spotted the formation, I pulled the truck over, rolled down the window, cut off the engine, and enjoyed the show.

The formation appeared first to the west, over the trees. I watched the strange change of formations for a few minutes. Then the formation came toward me.

The change in formation did not always coraspond(sp?) with a change in direction. TIt came so close that it no longer appeared over trees, but directly in the sky above me. Finnally, the formation traveled south of me, became one light and suddenly flashed off toward the sky at the spped of light, never making a sound.

Other than the lights, I never saw the craft itself. I have always been interested in such sitings since this event, but have only herd of one such sighting like my own since this happened.
